Let's start with the positive: the bed and pillow are super comfortable. The parking garage is convenient. The room is big, furnishings are modern and practical. There are many shops nearby. And now the negative: the room was a bit dirty, dusty corners, hairs under the leg of the laptop table. We found a used bra in the closet and half a pencil in the bed. Water flowed out next to the shower door, with thick yellowish scale next to it. The glasses were clearly not washed (there was toothpaste residue in all of them, tea stains in the mugs). The kind receptionist helped me get new glasses. This is the work of one careless cleaning lady so far, so it doesn't affect everyone. But there are things which could be improved centrally: Even with the lights off, the bathroom fan works very strongly without stopping, and in some rooms, even with the door closed, it is so loud that it's impossible to sleep peacefully. On top of that the switched-off air conditioning is automatically switched on several times a day. At 7 in the morning, start blowing the 20-degree air in your face, even if you previously turned it off at 23 degrees.

Nice hotel , nice location Terrible service. I would not recommend. There are restaurant all around and they could not help, they could not find my reservation, everything around my reservation was complicated. The staff is very young, very poor level of English. As a frequent Accor member, this is not at Mercure standard service level. You would except more from them. Great disappointment.

I cannot find anything wrong with the Mercure Amersfoort. Very good, but quiet, location. Super friendly staff, spacious rooms. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 days. I must say that the hotel is located near city center, very nice and well structured, my room was very nice, bathroom and shower large and comfortable, parking under the hotel costs a bit however I saw that in general parking is expensive compared to italy. I recommend it

Great hotel to share love with a girl. Breakfast for 22 euros per person is quite expensive but there is 22 High all you can eat and other cafes, Dirk supermarket in this building.

As our flight was cancelled we stayed an extra night. We had to check out of our rooms and check in for the extra night to another. Due to it only being one night we upgraded to a room for 3 and at booking, I was advised that another bed would be set up in the room. We didn't need the room until the evening but on arrival there was no extra bed. Not only that, as the room was only set up for 2 people, we had to ask for extra towels, cups, coffee etc. We did not feel that the staff on duty that evening had thought this was necessary and the fact we had to ask was not good customer service in my opinion.

When I checked in on the evening of 6 September I said I wanted breakfast on 7th, which I had. I also said I did not want it on 8th and did not have it. When I left on the morning on 8th, the receptionist was obviously distracted doing something else, but when he did talk to me he declined to print an invoice. On arrival home, I can see I’ve been charged for the breakfast I did not have. I have replied to the email, but have had no response. However I have twice been asked to fill this form in so am doing so. The actual stay was fine, but to not respond to me is just rude.

One of the best hotels, I have stayed, in terms of location, service and staffs. Have stayed in this place for around 6 months on business and can't say any negative as the rooms are always clean, service was good and staff were polite and friendly and its 5 minute walk from the train station and close to the centrum with lots of options for food.

I enjoyed the stay but the coffee in the room was not replaced daily and the pillows are small pillows but that is the only feedback. The rest of the stay was perfect. Front desk staff were all friendly and helpful.

Value for money hotel. Rooms are spacious and modern. Also located within a small shopping mall. So the food shops are below. There is a car garage that leads to the hotel. The location is not great as it is not near the city center. Ok to walk on a sunny day but not when it rains.

Well located, comfortable and clean room, breakfast should be quite good when items would have been replaced in time. We arrived at 10am (breakfast until 11am so not that late), but multiple items were no longer there and were not replaced (including bread items). After 15-20 minutes I requested if this could be done, but this should not be the case for this price.

Comfortable stay with family, 2 young kids. Had adjoining rooms with shared door. Location is great, close to central Amersfoort and easy to reach from the train station.

On day 1 I told the frt desk my refrig was not working and again on day 2 and 3, finally they brought a standalone for 2 days and removed it before my stay was over. Secondly, the air conditioner would not stay working especially at night, thirdly the hotel bar was closed until day 3 of our stay. Fourthly, when we asked the frt desk for restaurant recommendations they had no idea.

The hotel is good. My room was big, with very confortable bed. The bathroom was clean. I didn't like that the window was rather small and because of that there wasn't enough light in the room. The location is excellent, close to the railway station( a several-minute walk away) and very close to shops and the historic centre.

Amersfoort is well worth a visit as a destination in itself. 3 of us were travelling together and staying in Amersfoort gave us the space we need at an acceptable price c.f. Amsterdam. We took the train to Amsterdam a couple of days and to Utrecht on another. The hotel was comfortable and the staff were very helpful.

Good hospitality. Nice meeting room and good quality lunch. Only minor remark is there was only sweets during thee/coffee break. A healthy snack would be nice

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The customer service was exceptional - the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were also beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

Reception staff and breakfast staff welcoming, room well equipped and comfortable. Experience in the bar was very poor. The barman disappeared for long periods and seemed to have a attitude to the fact i had a free drink voucher, the selection offered for the gold member free drink by the barman was extremely limited to a wine or the beer on tap which I didn't like. There was a good selection of bottled beers but wasn't given the option to have one of those. I would have had a 2nd glass of wine but no service so gave up and went to the room. The reception said that I should have been able to have one of the bottles of beer when I checked out but too late by then.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. With reading the reviews I was concerned about the noise but I had no problem with that. The hotel is at a great location for getting around the city. Staff were pleasant and helpful. As far as parking at the hotel just follow the signs once you enter the shopping center parking lot. The Mercure signs will take you right to the lower level where the entrance to the lobby is located. Enjoy your visit!

I was for 2 days in the hotel for a business tryp. This was mu first time in that hotel but not in Amersfoort, and I got amazed with the room and its views. The rooms are big, confortable, clean and really nice. The breakfast is very good, I recomend it for sure.

It’s a nice hotel and the staff are very friendly, but it’s very loud. The rooms are not isolated well and apparently the guests are not very considerate. Last night, I could only sleep for about 2 hours, because a group of youngsters was having a party in the corridor. They kept yelling and knocking on everyone’s (including my) door, because they were so drunk. They were being told to keep quiet by the staff at least 3 times but didn’t bother to behave normally. Now, I’m kept from sleeping by the cleaning staff who are chatting loudly in the corridor. It might have just been tough luck, but sadly this hotel doesn’t seem to be the right place when you’re on a business trip and have to work the next day.

This hotel has it all and when I'm in Amersfoort I prefer to stay here. Why? Friendly and professional reception. Modern Hotel. Great clean, modern rooms. A small fridge to store your own drinks and food and you can make your own coffee, tea in your room. The bed has a good matress and not a topper that moves when you move in your sleep. The hotel bar is cosy. The price of the room is also ok.

We stayed in a privilege room on the top floor. The room was very nice and the bed slept great. There is also a wonderful view. Unfortunately the walls are thin, which is a problem with lots of hotels. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the city center, but while you walk there is lots to see. There is a cinema and a variety of stores nearby. And the amazing Koppelpoort is only 5 minutes away. From there you can walk the old canals to the center. Parking is also great. You can park under the hotel for only 8 Euro's. In the same building you will also find restaurants, a supermarket and a drug store. Convenience all around. Definitely a great place to stay when visiting Amersfoort.
