I couldn’t tell if this neighborhood is gentrifying or is the ‘Hood. Either way, it wasn’t what I was hoping for with these 3 days in Louisville. Rooms were big, but sparse and stains on all upholstery and carpet. Desk staff was nice but slow and inexperienced, so check in and any needs were time consuming (took me 30 min to check in and 20 min to buy water on Day 2–different staff members). I wouldn’t stay here again. I didn’t love the location, the loud events other rooms had, the unsupervised kids running loudly up and down the hall, the DJ spinning music out front, or the person who walked into my friend’s room because the front desk checked them into his occupied room at 9:30 on a Sunday night. There was just too much wrong with this spot. If I’d been alone, I’d have checked out after the first night but I had 2 friends in 2 other rooms to consider. If you get a room under $100, it’s probably worth it (microwave and fridge—large rooms). Any more than that and you’ll be disappointed too. This might be a 3 star hotel chain but this is a 1.5 star location at best. I want to leave this review on a positive note: rooms are large and the sheets are soft (polyester). Plenty of plugs in the room.

Made this reservation and paid in advance. Front desk staff was great but room wasn't ready until 3:30p, I needed to prep for a fundraiser late that evening and was apologetic. Was told the room (accessible w/ roll in shower) had to be changed to an accessible w/ tub- no biggie but was a preference due to my disability. Air conditioning was struggling to keep cool- never dropped under 80 degrees. The tub had extremely slow drain, took a shower in a half foot of water in the tub, and the shower, the water never got hot, not even lukewarm. Been a Hilton Honors member for 12 years and never had an experience like this.

Hotel was nice and clean. The employees that we interacted with we very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. Everything about the hotel was amazing. The location is the only question mark. We didn’t have any issues, but it’s not located in the best area. Close to everything, but kinda sketchy after dark. No issues for us, just want to be transparent.

We were originally supposed to stay at a different hotel (Hancock House) that is managed by Home2, but they displaced/made a mistake with our reservations. Home2 was honestly not a very clean or well kept hotel to begin with, but then... My friend woke us up in the middle of the night, telling me "We need to leave. Now." She had bites on her neck, and we found a bed bug crawling on her pillow. We immediately packed up to leave--and the person working the desk at the hotel would not issue our refund, nor did they find us new accommodations--we were left to roam the streets of Louisville KY at 4am/5am in freezing weather, trying to find a new hotel. The hotel staff behaved as though the bed bugs were not their issue or responsibility... uh yeah. It kind of is a major priority, folks. Not to mention the safety of your guests. Not to mention how the woman in charge spoke to me very differently over the phone than the friend who was staying with me--which felt very racially charged. Her tone of voice was like night and day when interacting with us. Days later, and I am still waiting to receive my refund, as we were not able to stay there--and were exposed to bed bugs. I keep trying to contact them. I don't want special treatment. I just want my money back. And they keep giving me the run around. This is not hospitality.

This is a hotel for the whole family to come and stay at. The room was spacious enough for two people with a pull out couch. The gym has a Peloton bike an added bonus was the washer and dryer don’t forget your coins. The front desk staff were so friendly and gave suggestions of late night eating spots. Great bonus is this location is very walkable to the Market district. Please note this hotel does allow for dogs to stay over. So if you’re allergic accommodations can be made for your stay.

This hotel is so strange. It's a really nice hotel. The inside and outside look relatively new but there are so many little things missing or broken. The front desk has no snacks or water because they haven't restocked them. Rooms have no trash bags. Elevator buttons are missing. The air conditioning was broken. Ice maker in the fridge doesn't work. The pullout couch had no sheets. The rooms are in such great condition. I don't understand how there are so many basic things missing.

In the 10 nights I stayed there, I was woken up from my sleep on six of the nights by inconsiderate guests: 4 times due to children running loudly up and down the halls between 11PM-1:30AM, receiving prank phone calls on my room phone at 2AM (I’m assuming this was from within the hotel), and someone banging loudly on my door at 12AM. There were also several instances where children almost ran into me when getting on or off the elevator. The room was pretty clean but there were stains on the carpets and the bathroom sink had some mold in the crevices. I was only able to park in the hotel parking lot about half of the nights during my stay; the parking lot is definitely undersized for the amount of rooms at this hotel. I also had to request two days in a row to get my room cleaned before it was actually done. I would not stay here again.

I stayed here for a month while in town for work. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Just a couple blocks from NuLu and a few blocks to downtown, there’s plenty to do within walking distance. The staff was awesome. Brooks, Joy, and Josh made sure I had everything I needed and I was very appreciative of being able to move to the top floor halfway through my stay because I could hear the person in the room above me walking around at all hours. The housekeeping crew were all very friendly, however, when I asked for a room cleaning once a week, it seemed all they did was replace sheets and towels. The paid parking was less than ideal. It was $16/day through a third party app, but you weren’t guaranteed a spot in the small lot. I didn’t notice any cameras either and it wasn’t gated. Parking on the street was free. Other lacking amenities: no room safe, the breakfast options were disappointing, they didn’t have quarters for the laundry machines, the gym was missing weights and one of the treadmills was broken the whole month (there were two others that worked). Aside from the thin floors, the hotel was pretty quiet. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall I would recommend staying here if you’re headed to Louisville.

Staff was always extremely helpful and nice! With that being said, most of the issues I had concerned the state of the room. In the shower, there was a small elastic wrapped with curly hair around one of the shampoo bottles so it clearly was not looked at or cleaned. Also, after walking around in the hotel room without any slippers, the bottom of my feet became dirty, which means the carpet in the room was dirty. The remote to the TV did not work and the microwave did not work. I called to inform the front desk and we were told someone would come up and look at it.. I just felt it should have been checked prior to us checking in. They are pretty convenient and affordable, just need to work on the cleanliness and preparedness of the room. Also, the walls/floors are a bit thin, I think a family with small children may have been in the floors above us and you could hear them running around the room from 8am to 3am.. and it made it difficult to sleep.

This hotel was nice for the price! Our family stayed at this hotel for three nights. This seems to be an area that’s being rejuvenated. Separated from downtown by the interstate makes it a little out of reach to make the walk for little kids. The hotel staff was great! So friendly and accommodating. Although there seemed to be some pool issues. The water temperature was freezing! We complained about it a couple of times and an engineer did come in to turn up the heat. There was a thermostat on one of the lids of the filter system that stayed at 75 degrees but the water in the pool felt more like 65. I have a feeling that the filtration system wasn’t working because the water return was never on, which I mentioned to that engineer but he didn’t seem to do anything about it. Also, the hotel keys wouldn’t open the pool door. Overall, I recommend this hotel. Especially if you plan not going out for every meal. The breakfast was solid the kids and I liked it.

Outstanding Job---See you soon! May 2023 Brittney at Home 2 Suite was just remarkable and outstanding. She worked with our team to serve client in a timely manner and we appreciated it. Professionalism was the best! Communication excellent! Enthusiasm always high! Thank you! (Anthony, Derby Dash Transportation)

My best friend and I came to Louisville for a 3 night stay to celebrate our birthdays together. Our room was clean and had a great kitchen setup. We couldn't get a 2 queen room, but fortunately, the sofa was a pull out bed. This is a budget friendly hotel and within walking distance or easy driving to many things we wanted to see and do. We were pleased that a room card was required to get into the lobby from the street. Only had the complimentary breakfast once. Seemed like a good amount of options and the breakfast sandwich I had was basic but tasty. Our shower was out of the body wash, but we had our own on this trip. Also, exhaust fans in the bathroom are always a positive. Other than these minor troubles, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. It's not fancy, but it's in the Hilton family and suited out needs perfectly on this trip

Security is good here .They don't allow anyone to just come in and go to ur room . I came down to see my company and was questioned about it didn't understand that .They have big fridge in the room as well as sink, dishwasher, dishes, silverware and stuff to cook with and a Microwave 🙄no stove .No room service. Pet friendly. Nice indoor heated pool ,workout center 24 hour laundry ,and dry cleaning which costs .I cut my tongue on one of their spoons while eating my cereal one morning when i brought it to their attention they just threw it out and didn't say anything this could have been a child . So for safety of others I feel they should bring to their housekeepers attention to look so silverware to make sure it's not been cut up from their garbage disposal 😕....

See my review at Hancock house, which is owned and operated by the same people. Administration staffs 2 hotels with hardly anyone, and overbooks rooms. Many of the rooms (about half of the group I was with) had no AC and were 80+ degrees overnight. None of the AC units were fixed in the 3 days we stayed, and management couldn't do anything to fix the situation. I was moved twice to different rooms at 1-2AM, and none of the rooms had working AC or even basic trash bags. Stained linens, spills on floors, etc. The problem is in both Home2 (I have stayed at other home2 locations and loved them!) and Hancock house. 2 people in our group had their cars broken into in the lot behind Hancock house which has no cameras or security. Such a shame because the location is great but I promise it's not worth it. Pay 2-3 times more somewhere else and save yourself the trouble. Bonus hancockroach pic!

In a good location, right by NuLu, so close to many places to eat, music, shops, UofL. Front desk staff were very nice. The good ended there. The room had red paint randomly on things, the tile in the bathroom, the phone and remote. Speaking of the bathroom, not being cleaned well, mostly crusty bits in the shower. Breakfast was pretty bad as well, I ended up walked to a hotel in NuLu 5 minutes away for a great breakfast.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Pros- The room itself was clean and HUGE, with lots of extras that I didn’t need or use on this trip (like a full kitchenette with dishes). The location was close to both the Bourbon District and the NuLu District, and we were able to leave our car by the hotel and walk. (It’s a bit far from the river if that’s where you’re headed.) Cons- Some of the amenities were lacking. The room had shampoo (not a 2-in-1) but no conditioner, and no lotion. The bath towels were small and scratchy. When we booked (via Priceline), the hotel had “free parking” listed. Well there IS free parking, but it’s street parking, and there were no nearby spaces available. The lot next to the hotel cost $16 plus tax (which came to $18 and change). If it had been advertised as “free street parking plus paid lot option” I would’ve been less annoyed. The breakfast options were fairly sad. We arrived around 8:45am for breakfast (over an hour before it ends), but they were out of pre-made omelets and breakfast sandwiches when I went down the buffet line. There were no meats or potatoes, no scrambled eggs and no fresh fruit. I got the oatmeal, but it had a gluey consistency that made it inedible. The coffee was bad (even for breakfast buffet standards). We ended up walking to a coffee shop for breakfast. Also, the location is a bit rough (not the hotels fault, but just something to be aware of). They even had the hotel entrance doors locked mid-day. So, if you’re looking for a clean room and this hotel is in the location you’re looking for, it’s not a bad choice. If you’re hoping to use the hotel amenities, you may need to look elsewhere.

The staff was fantastic. Rooms are nice and spacious. Full size refrigerator, not a full kitchen. No stove, only microwave. Not the best area but you do need a key to even get in the main entrance, which made it feel safer

No stove to cook. Booked this place that I can cook breakfast for my kids, but there is no stove even. Room is very outdated, doesn’t look renovated at all. No bath tub and sliding door at the bathroom is most annoying becaus everywhere can hear you. When we came to room it is very hot. Carpet is very stained, my socks don’t look white anymore

Guy behind the counter was rude as could be. They also didn't update their availability online and after going there, we were told that they was completely booked with the exception of a room that didn't have air conditioning. Ended up staying somewhere else. Also good luck even getting in the building. Even entry doors were locked. Must be a rough neighborhood

Room was nice! Very large with a nice sitting area. Shower is really good. A downside was the atrious lighting in the bathroom. Small parking lot next to hotel for $18/24 hrs. Several homeless people living/sleeping 2 blocks away. I walked back after the Stevie Nicks concert at KFC Yum Center and never felt unsafe.

I have stayed here twice for leisure and this time was terrible! The location was perfect for our needs. Close to restaurants/bars and downtown. My issue here is the customer service. I drove 6 hours after attending a wedding the night before. Rightfully so, I was exhausted. After checking in I went to my room and feel asleep quickly. My friend arrived 1.5 hour later. When she woke me up we noticed there was blood on pillow. I thought did my nose bleed, scratch myself etc? I checked and nothing. The spots did not look fresh either. We checked the other pillows and there was more blood on the other pillow (which I did not use or even touch) We called down to the front desk. The housekeeping gentlemen was very polite and brought them up quickly. About 5 minutes later I received a call from the “manager”. She started accusing me and saying it was my blood. It was fresh (which it was not) She did not even listen or take into account it could be the housekeeping. Just blame and saying go ahead I know you’re going to write a review? Excuse me? She didn’t even know me! I was so upset so I went downstairs to discuss with her. I voiced my concerns that she was coming out as rude and accusing. She just kept rolling her eyes and she even said go ahead write us all up so we can get fired. She finally just walked away and again the housekeeping gentlemen apologized and said he would be up shortly. He did come up and even apologized on her behalf. As a manger, there was NO customer service. We never asked for refund or move rooms nothing. Just for clean replacements. The next morning for breakfast (see pictures) it was 9 AM and nothing was being stocked. Multiple people complained. One guests even talked to the same manger. Her response, “she is not in charge of the breakfast attendant, she doesn’t even talk to her” What kind of answer is that!! That manger seems friendly until problem arise. Being a manger please work on customer service! As a loyal Hilton Honors member, I was very disappointed. This brand usually has much higher standards. Overall, we will never stay here again nor recommend.

Staff was wonderful! Very nice and polite. Everyone was in a great mood. Room was very clean and spacious but the a/c temp would only go down to 68 and the temp stayed at 69. We were hot all night. The breakfast bar was a disappointment with only cereal, white and wheat bread, scrambled eggs, waffles and oatmeal. No fruit, meats, muffins or any other breakfast breads. You have to bring down a coffee mug from your your room if you want coffee. Again, the staff was very friendly and helpful. 5 stars to the staff!

.The staff was extra nice!! We even was allowed to have a early check-in our room was so spacious. Clean and I enjoyed the separate bedroom. Location awesome so many great restaurants and attractions I would highly recommend..

Realistically if it wasn't for the decent breakfast and good staff I'd say screw this place. Rooms were decent, elevators were missing buttons, doors wouldn't open, it would skip your floor. There seems to be no communication on who has and hasn't checked out, as cleaning ladies walked into our rooms and the rooms of others in our group multiple times.

Hotel is nice, but be sure to take all of your valuables inside. Had two firearms stolen out of my vehicle overnight and the hotel does not keep cameras on the parking lot whatsoever. Putting cameras up might not solve the problem, but at least it would provide evidence to police and serve as a deterrent.

This was a great hotel for our family of 4. We chose it to be close to NuLu spots, but also still convenient to walk to downtown spots. We also chose it because it had a pool our kids could enjoy (though it was not available the first night due to "maintenence"). We were able to get free parking on the street while we were there. We felt safe at all times, even when we walked to a restaurant at 10pm. If we were coming with kids, we would definitely stay here again. The kids enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, and that certainly saved us some money. Us adults found the breakfast a bit mediocre, but still adequate. It was definitely better than nothing! Every member of the staff we interacted with was A+ nice! If you want to be close to NuLu but also downtown, and also have room for a family I recommend this. PS. They allow dogs. We saw 2 while we were there, both tiny dogs, and never had any issues with barking, or loud guests. I know that all depends on luck though!

This Home2 has become my home over the last 8 months. I've had multiple lengthy stays and have seen the hotel transform. It is clean, quiet, and pet friendly. Brooks does a great job keeping it running. Josh always has the friendliest smile. Breakfast has improved as well. I won't stay anywhere else! The location feels safe and I have never had issues with parking.

First time staying in Home2Home and we were very pleased. Roomy king room with plenty of light, well designed for charging all our devices and roomy kitchen and bath. The lobby has charging options for travelers conveniently located everywhere. Convenient parking with overflow parking available. Rooms were very clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We would stay there again.

So clean and nice breakfast! Rooms were nice and roomy even for 6 people. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Only problem we had was with the pizza place that was recommended by the check in worker (Sicilian pizza) that took almost an hour longer to deliver food and didn't answer the phone when we called to inquire. Would not recommend them! But not the hotel's fault.
