Nice place to have dinner, the food and drink are good. Having time with friends and colleagues at work are very nice moment to join in this atmosphere. The staffs are always active to serve you. The menu was fabulous!!

This was easily the worst meal I’ve had in a long time. Let’s not talk about the price first. Having the name of Bocuse behind the restaurant, I was expecting to be slightly disappointed but at the very least satisfied with the meal. I was wrong. The food lacked flavour, finesse, and French culinary pride. If you think it would be “okay”, you’re wrong. It is both expensive and BAD. The service wasn’t great either, as many others have pointed out. I was ready to be left disappointed, but I didn’t think I’d be THIS angry over having wasted 2 hours of my life on this travesty.

A must visit in Lyon if you’re a foodie. Advance booking is a must. The food selection is wide and you will have a problem choosing what to eat as everything on their menu is delicious. The four stars are due to the waitresses not being friendly at all especially if you don’t speak French which always amazes me especially in touristic cities! Is everyone on the planet expected to speak your native language!

Very nice and welcoming service. We were seated in the back part of the restaurant which has a slightly different style and is a bit calmer. Olives are served before ordering. Tapenade of black olives was good and enough for two. The pastilla was delicious but unfortunately too greasy, the veggies inside were soaked in oil. The tartar was good but the waiter forgot the salad. Minor points if it wouldn't be the name and the price. We expected better.

This experience was an absolutely terrible disappointment. 6 of us had made a dinner reservation for New Year's Eve well in advance, making it very clear that one of us is a vegetarian. On their website their regular menu had vegetarian options and there was no mention, through email or on their site, that the dinner would be a set menu for 115 euros. The lack of communication was frustrating but nothing to get upset about. The menu did look appetizing however there was no vegetarian option mentioned. We asked the manager, referring our prior email and were expecting to hear options. They had no options ready. How does a restaurant regularly serving vegetarian dishes not have veg options?! After scrambling he came back with starter options and mentioned that the chef would throw together something for the 2 main courses and not to worry. Not what you want to hear when paying 115 euros but we were already there and we still had high expectations for the meal. This is where everything began to go downhill. firstly, I asked for cocktails in english and I was told they do not have cocktails tonight, only for our french friend to ask in french and be told the opposite. During starter service no vegetarian option was served, leaving our server scrambling again, clearly there was no communication on the back end and we were left waiting while they threw the veg plate together. The first main course was a risotto with scallops whereby they replaced the scallops with slices of truffle, which was all fine. However the second main, filet de mignon de veau and seared foie gras was substituted by the photo I have attached below. Unbelievable! boiled unseasoned vegetables and pan fried mushrooms. The one potato was part of the veal dish given by her partner. I do not even know how to describe this. The laziness, lack of pride and complete disregard for guest experience from the kitchen is shocking. Not to mention everyones veal being seriously overcooked and dry. Lastly the same raspberry sauce was used on the cheese plate and the dessert as well. There is no other way to put this but it felt like they just did not care. They did not care about guest experience, about food quality, about service. This was my second time visiting Lyon and I was genuinely excited to try a Bocuse experience with my friends. If anyone in control actually cares for his legacy his name should be taken off immediately. With so many wonderful restaurants in Lyon I would avoid Le Sud at all costs and at least for myself, I will also be avoiding the 8 other restaurants carrying his name and give my money to the many other great establishments that actually care.

The entire experience was dismal from end to end. The staff were rushed, didn’t listen and made endless mistakes related to our order. The food was average and the chef has marketing materials on the tables. If I were him, I would be embarrassed to associate my name with this restaurant. It’s a shame.

Unfortunately not to recommend. Food generally standart dishes on a good cantine level with prices of a Michelin Restaurant. Service super stressed when we ate there. Waiter were understaffed and running around from table to table. We felt like beeing seated in a McDo behind the counter in Rush Hour. Feels like they try to give out a table 4-5 times an evening. Chicken (Tajine) was almost raw, still bloody inside.

Delicious food with lovely staff. I ordered a entree, main and desert which consisted over a cold tomato soup, slow cooked lamb and fruit salad. Quite simple meals and Mediterranean which was a nice change from French.

Overrated. Felt like being thrown back x number of years in time. No modern take on classic dishes - which would have been OK had it been well made, but thats not the experience we had. We had the weekend 3 course menu - the main course pork was terribly dry. On top of this, the service was just not present. They forgot about our wine, they asked us what we wanted for dessert as they were carrying out our dishes from the entrees - clearly not aware that we had ordered the 3-course package already. This place needs to reinvent themselves..!

One of the best dinners I have had. Actually all persons around the table were very satisfied for plates. Actually I was already ready to finish my dinner after main course, but as I had so tasty dishes, I needed to take the dessert as well, even I knew that it would be too much. I hope I have a change to come here again.

The food was lovely. The pace of service was perhaps a little slow but a very relaxed atmosphere. Seek out the weekend menu which is excellent value.

We really enjoyed our family dinner. We had the menu of the day. The portions were great, and it was tasty. The service was attentive and pleasant. A good experience!

Very nice restaurant serving good quality food. We had their signature chicken dish and their rib eye. Both was delicious. Service was great, polite and professional staff, caters for English customers well. Large restaurant but spacing between tables felt a bit close for this kind of restaurant. It was a humid night but no air con? Overall great place for dinner.

Not impressed at all. We had dinner there and while the food was ok a lot of things were not. The service was bad. Personal was unfriendly, unmotivated and not professional. We got twice things served which didn’t belong to us. The tables and chairs outside are uncomfortable, not practical and far to close to each other and still the guys with the scooters drive past your table with less then a meter distance. Awful. Food was good but average. Lyon has soooo many great alternatives for great food. Don’t visit this place because of the name. It’s not worth it, sorry 🤷‍♂️

Everything was great, the food is very balanced and thought through, the service very friendly. The price-quality balance is perfect but the wines are their profit item, that is clear too. But also there: you get quality, no compromise!

Food is good, but quite simple and overpriced. Service is awesome! More than 5 starts!

Consistent with the Bocuse line of restaurants. Good jambon, other dishes just lacking something in flavor and finesse. Had the fish soup, the cod. Fresh fruit and ice cream was a nice way to end the meal.

👍 Nice experience in this new restaurant. Gentle staff, there is a nice feeling. I recommend the salads which are super tasty and creative. Could not experience the fresh juice as the restaurant seems to have some teething problems but I will come back in a few weeks to try more.
