If you enjoy being served insipid food by rude little belligerent French men, this is the place for you - if not, there are plenty of other Bouchon with great food and service. Some time after receiving a tirade from the man heading the front of house for having the temerity to order a coffee as an aperitif, we were given the salad Lyonnaise we ordered to eat. It is a very simple dish of a few key ingredients, and thus poor quality ingredients are easily exposed. And exposed they were. The accompanying bread was stale, the lardon was bland, and the lettuce was flaccid. I cannot emphasise this enough - in a city bursting at the seams with gastronomical delights, avoid this sad tourist trap.

Very quick and nice staff. Food was delicious! We decided to do menu to try out different things and was perfect. The waitress recommended us what to eat to try typical food from Lyon from our menus. Great choices! Also we could enter with our dog which was extremely appreciated.

Nice restaurant with typical frensch menu and also typical frensch service 🙂 took filet du bouef and ill fontante as dessert. Very good food, but the service could be a bit better.

We had a lovely experience with this restaurant, it was our first day in Lyon so we just sit down in this place. Everything was really good, waiters polite and friendly, we don't speak French, but there was now problems, menu has English version. Food was good and delicious, actually I tried first time in my life bone marrows and veal kidneys, so I can't compare them to other experiences.

Fantastic staff and ambiance, the food is amazing. We had the escargots as a starter, and beef - different types- as a main course. All is prepared with much attention and respect for the ingredients. We think it is very amazing, also the local wine is very good, when back in Lyon we will definitely come back! Thank you for a wonderful evening!!

Very good food! We wanted to have a table inside but only in tables next to the cuisine. We seated outside. Suggested to reserve table first. Very good food! The waitress should be more friendly and less stressed!

My first Bouchon Lyonnais experience and it was out of this world! Very old world tavern feel and amazing service! The food is heavily centered around fatty meats and offal, but absolutely delicious! A bit pricey but worth it!

This is absolutely my favorite Bouchon in Lyon. I always bring my friends who are visiting Lyon here. I’ve tried others, but this one just takes the quality of food to the next level. The escargots are tender, the onion soup is very flavorful and both the meats and the traditional Lyonnais dishes are really good. It is also a very nice ambiance and the staff is very sweet, accommodating and helpful.

I was lovely well received by Bernard, who helped me to choose the entrecote. It was divine, I've just added this restaurant in my gastronomic list in Lyon .

Really bad bad bad service. Waiters looks like someone died in their family…. Very rude. Steak also hard as rock cannot chew at all. And the pork sausage smells like football player socks. I don’t know how this restaurant survive here. Is it they laundry money here :)

Food was amazing! Delicious and flavourful. The atmosphere was warm and cozy with all the antique decor. I loved the loud family-oriented atmosphere that still served classic french delicious food. Our servers were lovely, I know they were busy but they were on top of it. Very reasonably priced for a family of 4. Oh and the local wine was delicious as well!! My heart just was so happy for the Bone marrow, it was, literally, to-die-for! lol Tripe Sausage a bit too gamey but still delicious. Saucissone just hits the spot! Lyonnaise salad just hits home and the creme caramel, YUM!

We visited Lyon for a business trip with a coworker and were recommended this street for some excellent dinners. This restaurant caught our attention as we are both friends of a good steak, so we figured we would give it a try. The restaurant is owned by a family which owns two restaurants across from eachother on this same street. We chose the menu "Menu Lecuyer" for 30.5€ / person, and were not dissapointed. I chose for my set: Starter: "Os à moelle aus gros sel" - Bone marrow with rock salt Main: "Pavé de beouf au poivre" - Magnificent steak with some pepper sauce Dessert: Crème Brûlée For the wine we chose a 50ish euro bottle of Saint Joseph Le Granbe Pompée from 2021. The starter was very tasty and the bread on the side was to die for. Perfect mix with the wine. For the main course I took a pepper steak, since sauces are something the French usually do well, and was indeed not dissapointed. The steak was perfectly cooked and the sauce was a brilliant match for the meat. For the dessert I took a traditional Crème Brûlée, which was also perfectly caramelized and overall tasted perfect. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place!!

Selected the Menu Formule & started the evening off with a bottle of Guigal Côtes du Rhône. The Guigal was the highlight of the dinner. My husband ordered onion soup & that was deemed ok. My onion tart arrived burned & not edible. The waiter offered to bring another. The second tart arrived & was not edible as well. Although, it looked better it had obviously been microwaved & tarts & microwaves do not produce a great end result. We decided to finish our dinner at that point… We paid for the wine & the onion soup & left. Couldn’t recommend the restaurant based on our poor quality food experience.

Took here by a local friend. Food was ok, not as good as other bouchon in the old town for the same dishes in my opinion. The service was unplesant! The waitress was always with a cold face, said things as if she was giving comands to her customers, grab my glass at top 1/3 part of it several times which is a big no in f&b service. The man who looks like the boss of the place took over my husband's dish and put it the "proper way to eat" under my hudband's surprise and without any ask for his idea of wanting it or not. Their dessert was good though! It was the only thing to cheer up our dinner. Was kind of unhappy that i didn't bother taking pictures of the food. Will definitely not come back here again!

👍 Nice experience in this new restaurant. Gentle staff, there is a nice feeling. I recommend the salads which are super tasty and creative. Could not experience the fresh juice as the restaurant seems to have some teething problems but I will come back in a few weeks to try more.
