Whoever
did
the
renovation
and
preservation
work
on
this
convent
turned
hotel,
did
a
great
job.
The
exterior
is
well
done,
the
foyer
space
is
jaw-dropping
gorgeous.
Devision
of
spaces
makes
you
often
pass
through
areas
you
don't
necessarily
want
to,
f.e
the
restaurant
on
the
way
to
spa
or
breakfast
hall
on
the
way
to
reception,
but
not
critical.
The
rooms
themselves
feel
like
convention
center
rooms,
kind
of
German
design:
modern,
practical,
pleasant-
but
lacking
flair.
Everything
is
in
great
shape
though,
and
the
interior
design
of
the
rooms
is
classical
and
functional.
Still,
some
details,
f.e:
great
to
have
long
mirror
next
to
the
door,
but
then
the
light
is
wrong
for
it.
Bed
and
bedding
are
comfortable,
that's
very
important.
SPA
is
cute,
nice
steam
room
and
whirlpool,
weird
(or
faulty)
adventure
shower
and
not
enough
heated
pool
outdoor.
Breakfast:
great
job
on
cheese
selection
(4!
Normally
non-meat
eaters
are
left
with
1-2
choices)
terrible
job
with
the
coffee
(had
better
at
gas
stations)
and
scrambled
eggs
(a
mash)
but
very
nice
omelet
can
be
done
by
request.
Staff:
pleasant
and
friendly,
professional,
but:
if
your
English
isn't
good
enough,
better
send
me
to
a
colleague
than
have
misunderstandings
(mainly
at
breakfast).
Restaurant:
very
nice,
upscale
but
pricing
is
justified
with
quality.
We
enjoyed
dinner.
All
in
all:
great
for
companies,
or
for
a
one
night
stay,
not
the
whole
visit,
if
you're
a
tourist
in
Lyon.
Unique
setting
and
view
though.
Fazit:
Stunning
architecture,
practical
room
design,
business
