Mes Amis is halfway through a market cuisine unpretentious restaurant and a fine dining experience with a focus on wine, especially regional one. Settled on two floor it has a pretty cozy atmosphere, tables are not far from each other and everyone is talking and enjoying his time. The staff was very accommodating and is pretty knowledgeable about the local wines. I'd say is by far the most interesting wine tasting experience I had till now in a restaurant in the Netherlands, bringing highlights on the otherwise off the radar Limburgse wine scene. What is less impressive is the food itself, not bad of course but there is some work to do still. All round is a pretty good experience and I recommend the place in particular if you're a wine lover.

A week ago I was at your Mes amis restaurant. I did expect tasty food and good local wine selection . It turned out to be such a fantastic fine dining experience that I haven't dreamt of! Every dish was like a work of art and the taste was outstandingly good and flavoured. I couldn’t guess whether the wine or the food was honored to be paired with. Every little details was taken care of. Not only the ravishing service but the appropriate approach to every eating companion was so inviting. For me, Mes amis is a wine dining restaurant which none of its rivals can match. Definitely, it’s worth a return.

An excellent restaurant with delicious food / wine ( they make their own) and amazing hospitality. The owner personally attends to guests. The dishes are well crafted and have really nice balance and attention to detail. For me 6 courses was definitely too much... You have the choice from 4 all the way to 9 and can also order a la carte.

Way too expensive for what you get. For the value… one of my least favorite restaurants I have ever been to. I have been twice… 6 years apart and had the same reaction. Normal food.. way too expensive… Sub par wine… good service and nice people though. Happy to pay top dollar for good food but this just isn’t it. Shocked how good the reviews are. Also had to pay a 100 deposit to come… strange.

Waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort. Essen war lecker aber Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt m.E. nicht. Service war überfordert. Lange Pausen zwischen den Gängen und mehrfaches Nachfragen für Wasser, wenig Brot etc. Für ein Restaurant in dieser (Preis)Klasse etwas enttäuschend.

Very pleasant lokaal wines (big suprise), food is very tasteful and service is excellent. However it has a steep price compared to other top restaurants in Maastricht.

Everything tasty with a beautiful presentation. Will definitely go there again.

Great staff, very friendly and they know their local wines. The wines are also ok, they are not top notch globally, but the best you can get in Netherlands. Wine servings are ok, but they won't top up if you finish early. Food is very average. They put too much different flavours on one plate and serve so much you miss all finesse. Maybe my expectations were wrong: I expected fine dining, but got a farmers dinner presented nicely. So all in all; not bad, but not refined. If you want to try Dutch wines and a lot of local food go there, for fine dining go elsewhere.

Had an amazing experience at Mes Amis. Very pleasant staff with eye for detail. The taste of each dish was remarkable and on a high level.

Some higher prices but a vast choice of wines and good food. The staff is friendly and know their stuff. The food is presented in some experimental ways which wasn't really my thing but it tasted pretty good so i'm fine with it. Portions are quite small as expected. One "negative" point was that a vegetarian basically gets the same dishes, without the piece of meat, but still pays the same. I'd say the meat is the most expensive.

Unfortunate surprise. The food was nice and nicely presented, but they got an ESSENTIAL allergy restriction wrong. I was sick that night because of it, and this is HIGHLY unacceptable, especially for such a place. The prices shown on the menu are only relative to the courses but every extra is overpriced and the final bill was far above our expectations. The staff was poorly prepared on the service and very nervous. We will not be back.

We greatly enjoyed our meal here last night. We chose the surprise seven course meal with the wine pairing. Most, if not all, of the wines were from the local region including Limburg. I was very pleased with the quality, presentation, service, and most of all the flavors of our food and wine. This restaurant is definitely on the pricey side. I look forward to eating here again.

My partner and I recently ate at Mes Amis and the experience was divine. The young waitress of the mere age of 17 is a master at her craft. We did the prix-fixe menu with the wine pairing and we loved every single experience. It is a mother and son owned restaurant, and it is a small and cozy space. I highly recommend it and it is worth every cent!

Our experience was a bit spoiled by the bone in one of the dishes. Although this did not get much attention from staff during the dinner, the chef kindly contacted me after to apologize and resolve the situation. First few courses were hit or miss including this situation, but the main dish and dessert were fine. The service and the attention of the chef saved the experience of the dinner overall.
