Angenehme Atmosphäre, gutes Essen und sehr nettes Personal. Insbesondere im zweiten Stock sitzt man gut, da man eine schöne Aussicht auf den Marktplatz hat. Weiterzuempfehlen! :)

What a nice place. Old, authentic dark wood panelling. Huge selection of Dutch and Belgian beer. Excellent food reasonably priced. The service was also very friendly - something not always so common in the Netherlands. We came without a reservation and they found us a table despite being busy. Definitely recommend.

Traditional Dutch eetcafé in the main Maastricht square. It serves all the regional classics, tap beers and small wine selection. The quality is pretty good, the place is clean and well kept and the waiters are kind. Good choice to drink and grab a bite by the terrace.

Cafe De Zwaan is one of, if not THE best establishment of Maastricht. The waiters are of infinite kindness and are always devoted to your service. I am and will always be going there for my evening beer!

Insgesamt war unser Besuch im Restaurant positiv, und es hätte die volle 5-Sterne-Bewertung verdient. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und hat ihren Job hervorragend verrichtet. Allerdings mussten wir über 40 Minuten auf unser Burgergericht warten, während Gäste, die später ankamen, bereits ihre Gerichte serviert bekamen. Dies führte zu einem Stern Abzug. Des Weiteren fiel uns auf, dass die Ausstattung teilweise sehr abgenutzt ist und einer Erneuerung bedarf. Trotzdem möchten wir betonen, dass der Service und die Qualität des Essens positiv hervorstachen. Mit einer Verbesserung der Wartezeiten und der Ausstattung könnte das Restaurant sein volles Potenzial entfalten.

Typisches NL Restaurant mit vielen Bierspezialitäten und ausgewogener Speisekarte. Wir hatten vegetarischen Flammkuchen und Nachos mit Pulled Chicken, beides ausgesprochen lecker. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam.

A lot of craft beer, walk-in fridge, verified Untappd venue. The burger is very nice! One of my favorite places to go to when in Mestreech!

We each had a very tasty 3-courses. Carpaccio\Burrata - beautifully presented, quality ingredients, well thought-out choice of dressings. Entrecôte\Zoervleis - hearty, a good range of accompaniments (would have liked some vegetables or salad with Zoervleis, but that might not be as traditional!) Cheesecake\Chocolate Moulleux - rich, tasty, served with lovely fruit. Just large enough to satisfy without making one queasy. Friendly staff. Music not too loud. No actual swans, which would have been scary.

Comfortable, fabulous selection of beers. Service is very attentive and nice. Dog friendly! We only had drinks, and really liked our selections and their suggestions. Solid atmosphere, can easily communicate at the table despite the restaurant being full. Very highly recommended for a good beer.

Went to De Zwaan for dinner last night. The waitress who served us was very friendly and helpful. I am coeliac and vegetarian and she consulted with the kitchen to find a safe meal for me. The green olives we had to nibble on were the best olives I have ever eaten. I had a modified version of burrata and veg salad and it was tasty. We enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere in this busy, lively spot. We had the window seat so perfect for watching the world go by!

Try chicken satay with peanut sauce. It's extremely delicious.

Great for either a coffee and snack, drinks and nibbles or a full hearty meal. There's a great buzz about the place and the location is very central. The staff are friendly, professional and efficient. I particularly recommend the Appelvlaai (apple pie).

Really delicious food, especially the local specialties like the zoervleis. Great friendly service. Nice heaters outside. Able to make adjustments to ensure food is gluten free. And a few nonalcoholic beers available. Good all around!

The collection of beers is not just huge but also carefully curated! The waiters are exceptionally friendly, professional, knowledgeable and give useful advice on which beer you will like! Usually I don’t drink beer but here I was recommended beers that I actually liked! Also the design is cozy and everything is clean. Due to the location I thought it was a tourist ripoff at first but it is actually reasonably priced for the experience provided!

Really great selection of beer and cider. Good selection is good. The share plates are big enough for one as a main or share between two or three etc as a starter. Some dishes are made with beer base sauces, which can go well with the beer in stock. Inside was cosy, especially to escape the heat of the day, but plenty of outdoor space too, with view of the old Rat House/city hall.

Had some coffee and a breakfast, after waiting for 45min with the utensils om the table, we asked where the food was. Turns out the order wasn't send to the kitchen. It was quickly resolved and we got a courtesy drink. Only feedback I would give would be: the utensils were visible, when you ask us for another drink and see the utensils after 30minutes, you could assume something might have gone wrong and asked, or take action.

Very nice terrace on the Markt that serves very tasty craft beer. The staff is absolutely friendly and pleasant, good service and prices. We didn't have food, only drinks but I highly recommend it.

Nice and yummy food for breakfast! One star less because of presentation of it. They also had english menus, that’s very welcoming too.

Very nice cafe in the centre of Maastricht, me and my best friend always meet there for their lunch trio, and they are so typical we've never considered going somewhere else to meet up !

Bad experience: My friend and I thought of having dinner at this restaurant. We started from a beer and after finishing our business talk we thought to give an order. We saw it was very busy so we waited until someone passed through our table. After waiting for a couple of minutes, one waitresses passed through our table empty handed. So, I call her but she neglects us and goes to the next table where his boyfriend or friends were staying wearing the same dress black and white dress. They hugged and talked for a few minutes and most importantly they did not give any order. When she was passing through our table again we called her. Then again we were neglected. We really felt bad and thought not to have dinner. This thing was noticed by another customer and smiled back at us. I have given one star to a guy who wears spectacle and was a little heavy. He took our first order i.e beer and he was a person who came for our bills. He is nice, polite and professional in his work We went to another place for dinner . I don't recommend restaurants until they teach their staff how to work like professionals.

Wenn möglich wäre, null Punkt. Heute habe ich Pommes und Getränke für meine Kinder bestellt. Sie brachten die Getränke, aber nicht die Pommes. Ich habe sie ein paar Mal daran erinnert, konnte aber immer noch keine Ergebnisse erzielen. Nachdem ich eine Stunde gewartet hatte, ging ich zu einem anderen Mitarbeiter und fragte erneut. Er war überrascht, dass ich so lange auf Pommes gewartet hatte und sagte, er würde es sofort bringen, und er tat, was er sagte. Da ich dachte, dass die Verzögerung an der Hektik liegen könnte, wartete ich mit gutem Vorsatz eine Stunde. Allerdings ließ mich die Tatsache, dass der letzte Mitarbeiter es innerhalb von 5 Minuten brachte, vermuten, dass die andere Mitarbeiterin meine Bestellung absichtlich und böswillig hinauszögerten. Außerdem befanden sich Fleischstücke in den Pommes, die am Ende kamen. Wenn ich Fleisch essen wollte, würde ich Fleisch bestellen. Leider war das, was ich heute an diesem Ort erlebte, an dem ich saß und den Tag mit meinen Kindern genießen wollte, ein völliges Unglück ...
