There’s many reasons why they say Maastricht is one of the most “international” cities in the Netherlands - one of which can be attributed to the extensive food scene! ☀️ We made a reservation at JEF Gastropub after reading the awesome reviews and seeing such great pics - in real life was no different. 🤩 Upon arrival we had to wait 7minutes and the Service Team offered us complimentary drinks once our table was ready. 🍷 Excellent range in their menu 💕 The service was top notch, the food was delicious and fresh and the vibe was upmarket-cosy!

What an exquisite experience! We decided for a three course menu, and every single dish was perfect- creative, flavorful and simply delicious. For an appetizer we got beet macarons with goat cheese, what a fun idea. My partner doesn't like neither beets nor goat cheese, but he actually loved that savory treat. Entree and main were very good. Dessert that combined white chocolate, strawberry and rhubarb was to die for. Staff was extremely professional and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff. They waited on us perfectly. We had a four course menu and some wine and water. The pork/eel combination was particularly delicious.

Food is ok, not really special. Place is located in a nice part of Maastricht. Service is great and some issues were addressed very well by the staff.

We had an excellent Dinner at JEFs tonight. The staff is very friendly and professional. The vegetables as side dish were really delicious, let alone the main courses we had (ravioli with spinach and ricotta / beef with truffles sauce). We can honestly recommend that place and in case we come back to Maastricht we will definetly visit again. Prices are higher than we are used to but worth it. We recommend a reservation in advance.

The staff is polite, nice and attentive. The service is good. Food is tasty. Oysters were big and tasty, the prices are above medium, a bottle of wine is around 50€.

The food here is totally amazing! I have eaten all over the world and this has to be a top 10 culinary experience in my lifetime! We had a six course meal and every course was unique and very delicious! I wish I would have taken some pictures but it would have been rude to do with my hosts. I would highly recommend if you are ever in the area visiting.

Second time we came to JEF Gastrobar and honestly this was an amazing experience. The menu is a bit limited but you can combine the dishes from the different menus in the way you want. The food is just waaaow!

Perfect place in Maastricht for up to date innovative food and a great atmosphere with perfect service.

Going to keep this one short. Best multi course fine dining (yet casual) experience in Maastricht so far. Five courses that take you on a rollercoaster of flavors and also let's you feel like you are full afterwards. The only issue is that it is very hot inside in the summer. A/C did not appear to do much, but for such great food & wine, it was worth the heat

Sub-par restaurant that falls well short of providing good food, let alone a fine dining experience. We were left waiting from the outset for almost 5 minutes just to be seated - despite only 1 other party in the restaurant. Then it took another 15 minutes for the menu to be provided. The fish was of microscopic portions, and incredibly oversalted. And the so-called cheesecake was in actuality whipped cream sans a solid base. To top it off, the coffee was burnt. Apathetic customer service, with the food well below average. We were left incredibly disappointed.

Cosy ambience, great food and friendly & efficient service In town for just two days we had little time to select our dining venues Located close to our hotel we selected this place mainly because of its small size and menu style. Welcome was friendly and we were seated immediately From the fixed menu we selected the crab meat “cigar”, followed by sea bass and a berry desert and added a la carte salmon with “karnemelk-dill” sauce and steak tartare further enhanced with some French fries. Prior to starting with the dinner we were served some amuse bouche. Food was well presented, served in a timely manner and exquisite in taste Definitely recommended to those after an intimate culinary rich dining in the heart of Maastricht

Amazing culinary experience. Went for a solo dinner after business hours. Ordered a 4 parts course. Waitress was very kind and very knowledgeable about the items in the menu. I went for what she recommended and I was absolutely impressed with every course, even though I cannot say what exactly they were called. Every course was delicious but maybe the cheeses at the end were a bit too much. Check pics.

The risotto was very good. The asparagus was a bit bland. It is more on the expensive side.

The food is reasonable, but portions are small and entrees are expensive. Also no relaxed dining before 0830..... 2 seatings

It is good but I was expecting more for the price ☺️Weak dishes presentation... But staff are friendly:)
