It's a world heritage garden. The garden is just amazing. It's very simple but it's incredibly beautiful. You feel like you're in Northern Iran because of the vegetation surrounding it. Many local tourists visit this place. It's also got a museum.

It is said that the name of Yazd province is knitted with desert, but because of its numerous qanats (sloping underground channel to transport water from an aquifer or water well to surface for irrigation and drinking), there can be found a lot of gardens that some of them are famous worldwide. Pahlavanpur Garden in Mehriz is one of them. Pahlavanpur Garden located in Zare’in town and Mazvir Abad quarter, Mehriz. The Pahlavanpur monument and garden has been built during the Zand dynasty and repaired during Qajar. They tried to repair it considering the features of Zand architecture style and they have succeeded in doing so. Hasan Mola Reza was the owner and after him, the garden was a heritage to his daughter and his son in law, Ali Pahlavan. He was a businessman and the garden called as Pahlavanpur thereafter.

It was hilarious. The guide said It's one of the nine Iranian garden which has been registered in UNESCO world heritage. Honestly I didn't find this garden in UNESCO list but I should say it's not really important point because it was really beautiful specially in spring. Moreover, there was an Eco-tourism resort in the back of the garden, which strongly recommend for staying at least one night.

An amazingly cool place in the hot desert environment. Beautiful big plane trees along a fast flowing canal. Orchard with pomegranate trees. Would be a great place to spend a few hours reading or relaxing, even in the summer but unfortunately I had no time for that.

Considering that it was designated as a World Heritage Site, it was a slightly disappointing place. I couldn't find anything particularly attractive compared to other parks. There are also restaurants where you can eat Iranian food.

My team & I ran the third UNESCO WHV camp in this heavenly garden. It’s definitely a must-do when you visit Yazd, and also don’t miss magnificent heritage sites around in Mehriz. It’s such a pity the guesthouse inside the garden is being poorly managed. They’re very nice people, but not enough skilled to ran a B&B inside this UNESCO listed Persian Garden.
