Lovely spacious room. Not a big fan of the cooked breakfast, sausage looked raw and bacon fat not crisp also food not very hot. Had meal the night before and that was lovely x

People were all very friendly. Steph, and her team were great and made us feel welcome. The cleaning was good and Beverley, a cleaner, was so helpful. She made it her personal job to see we had plenty of everything both days. The food was very good but my 12 oz Ribeye steak was very gristly. Money was discounted for it as I ate the good bits. My husband would have had to wait if I had returned the whole lot. The ambience is lovely and toilets were very clean The one small thing to improve I believe is the verbal communication concerning the car park procedure. We were not told about the extension on the machine etc. We are hoping we dont receive a ticket for 1 day. Steph has told us to contact her if we do. This could have been said when we entered our registration initially at the reception desk. We were asked if we were staying and we replied 2 nights. The welcome pack was not explained either that we had to refer to the pink pages at the rear for breakfast times. We just scraped in on Tuesday morning as we had checked on Google what time breakfast finished at it states 11.30a.m. So we did not rush. When we did refer to the book it was right at the back and I believe said 10a.m. No issues, we had a lovely breakfast. Generally it was good. I would only eat here now for a special occasion as it is a bit expensive. Thanks to all. Nice staff generally.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful especially housekeeping! We were especially impressed with Ashley from the housekeeping team who was extremely helpful, nothing we asked for was a problem!! The room was a good size with nice armchairs! The shower was good. Not so good: No toilet roll holder, loose toilet seat, the tap and basin design soaked you and the floor numerous times. The curtains in the bedroom do not shut out the light properly and the lighting was too dim! The window was dirty. The fans supplied were very inefficient.

Great location with plenty of free parking. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean and tidy. Room was comfortable however being located facing the main truck road was nosy during peak traffic times. Pillowcases smelt of fried food as if they’d been stored near the kitchen or kitchen extraction system. The overhead shower head in the bathroom needs attention and the bathroom floor was very wet after using the shower

We stayed here on the weekend of Xmas and the meal was lovely. We had an issue with heating unable to turn off and room was sadly too hot so moved to another which was great. However kept up all night by the neighbours partying next door. However we appreciate this is very much beyond the control of the hotel itself. Rooms were great and shower and well equipped and the breakfast was fab and great value for money. Recommend.

We have missed a hairdryer and a Power outlet in the bathroom. Everything else was just fantastic.

First complaint: need a lift.we are seniors. 2nd complaint: door lock did not always work, a cause of anxiety. 3rd complaint: no phone in the room: very inconvenient. 4th complaint; no luggage rack forcing 80-year-old to stretch to the floor to get at her clothes: 5th: no granola/yogurt for breakfast. Good things: location near the Maidstone Library; food ok; cleanliness good; staff very helpful.

Location and onsite parking were good. Breakfast nicely cooked and good value. But: Building exterior looks rather tired Check in was slow, we waited quite a long time while a queue of 6-10 people grew behind us Room had no wardrobe or cupboard space Noise from (I think) kitchen extractors if window was opened Intermittent mechanical noises through the night, possibly faulty Aircon in next door room? Extremely dirty carpets in public corridors on ground floor Only one juice option (apple) at breakfast

Booked last minute, wasn't told when checking in that there was no hot water or heating. Tried to have a shower and found it to be freezing cold water, checked radiators and they were stone cold. Only found out when I went to the bar for my meal that the boiler had packed up yet again. I had a meal served on a cold plate with the steak knife tip bent on the original knife and the subsequent replacement. Had to request the food to be reheated as it had got cold very quickly. The serving staff were polite helpful and apologetic over the situation but put in an awkward position as they were trying to do there best. Complained again in the morning as still no hot water of heating, I had a very cold nights sleep and was unable to shower which neither is acceptable for a hotel. The manager in the morning tried his best but the lack of heating meant the breakfast got cold very quickly. Shame as I have really expected more from a company that purports to give a quality offering.

Lovely big room, with dressing area. Very clean. Staff very friendly and polite. Food and drink reasonably priced for the area. Ate in the restaurant, just to be aware, steaks are a bit on the rare side. Ordered medium to well, which said would be pink, but was very bloody. This wouldn't put us off visiting again. Enjoyed our stay.

Room was large and comfortable, but not much storage and felt very empty. Nice bathroom but 2 taps??? A bit old fashioned!

Amazing room and service, air con was fantastic and shower was brilliant. Wonderful night and amazing to see the foxes in the garden in the evening.

My elderly dad was stranded in the snow and they kindly waited for him to arrive and offered him a room, he would have been stuck in the car that night if they hadn’t done so. The facilities and room seemed lovely too

The beds are very hard. The food is good, but I find it unacceptable that you "only give NHS discount when ordering mains. Not on starters and drinks" I quote that because that is what was told to me when asked, even though the week before I was given a discount on starters and drinks. I also rang to ask to get into my room 2 hours early. And there was no accommodating this. The person on the phone just kept repeating herself, "the rooms are released at 3" in and increasingly snotty tone. Also, the NHS discount you give on the website, only allows you to book a premium room. Making the discount still more money than just booking a normal room. Jokes.

Very clean room, slightly dated but comfy bed nice shower a warm. Car park was a nightmare however very dangerous to walk over with the recent snow and thaw then refreeze.

Stayed for 4 nights end of October. Staff were very accommodating. Room was spacious, comfortable & clean. I found the room a little cold when I first arrived and it was sorted immediately.

All the staff were really welcoming and ready to help in anyway. The room was always kept clean and the bed was really comfortable. Towel were changed daily to our satisfaction. Well done indeed.

Room was too hot to sleep in. Noise from restaurant felt like the people were in your room. Immaculate room and toilet. WiFi not the best. Room was next to the stairs and the door was banging at 0400 when drunken oiks returned. Awful night.

Excellent service from Stephanie who checked me in and served breakfast. Nice, comfy room with fast WiFi. Breakfast was excellent with good coffee, fresh fruit and croissant.

£102 for 2 people including breakfast. We stayed in room 2 where there are no curtains fitted to the rails behind the bed, so up at 05:30 which wasn't ideal, the room was spotlessly clean. We felt it over priced as it was so basic.

Stayed here in room no. 11 for a couple of nights last weekend. Was welcomed and accommodated nicely and the room was very clean. The first night I ate in the restaurant, which was nice. The second night I ordered a takeaway and the staff were more than happy to provide me with a plate and cutlery. My only minor comments were it would have been nice to have a chest of drawers in the room. And with the room being three storeys up and facing the main road, it was also open to the elements. Due to the quite strong windows, the window was rattling.

Spacious room. Great breakfasts. Excellent restaurant. Easy parking and easy walk to town.

The staff were courteous, helpful and kind. The amenities were comfortable and the restaurant was great. The bathroom shower door frame (at the bottom, not where you stand or touch aa a guest) needs a clean.
