We went there in a rather large group (9 people), some of us having gone here before, so we expected a place with good food. This couldn’t have been further from why we experienced…, all dishes came at once (though we had soups and main dishes), most dishes were cold or barely warm, the fries were undercooked & to top it all, 2 people from our group had to wait almost half an hour after the rest of us got our dishes. Overall, a poor experience for a restaurant; will definitely NOT be coming here again…

Not recommended, very young staff with no hospitality experience, long waiting time for fish dishes. No soup available at 14:00, the waiter told us on a rude way that we should’ve arrived earlier to get soup. They open at 12:00… This was the fourth time I ate here and each time the service and food were worse.

Located right on the beach, this has been a very popular destination for fish lovers and beach lovers for many, many years. The food was delicious and the place looks great! A wedding destination as well! I can't upload videos here, however, the seagull feeding time was spectacular.

Amazing food and atmosphere especially on a beautiful calm night with your family near the sea. Food is delicious and tastes very fresh, the plating is delightful and full. The prices are pretty good regarding of the location which is really exotic and has a Hawaii “feeling”:). Staff is friendly and experienced even though they seem young. Would definetely recommend it! This place is huge, clean and has great food.

The only 5 stars is the price at this place. It is clean, nice, it is on the beach. The sturion soup is not playing in the first division. The main fish dishes - be prepared for taste disappointment, unless your senses for smell and taste are gone with corona. The fish is nor fresh catch, nor local catch(Danube /Black Sea), most probably farmed fish from nearby countries. IF you are naive, taste /smell disorientated and absolutely want to burn your money I would anyway advise to think twice.

We came here for lunch. It wasn’t the first time for us here, but every time we have faced the same issue: the waiters who note the orders, not the young ones. For the order we didn’t wait too much, but we waited for someone to come and clean the table and wanted order a dessert. The food is not great, not terrible and medium to high prices.

Very good food, very taste, at affordable prices. I had Bluefish (Lufar) and my wife had fried anchovies (hamsie). I appreciated the honesty of the waiter, when I asked if the fish is fresh and they said that it is deep frozen. Anyway, the difference can’t be identified, between fresh or frozen fish, but anyway is from the Black Sea, frozen in proper conditions. As well, I appreciate that the fries were made out of fresh potatoes not frozen french fries. Carrot cake is awesome! Staff 10/10 Food 10/10 View 10/10

You need to booked up for a table you want. Unfortunately, we didn't know about this rule, and we just enter the restaurant without booking it. We we're lucky, because we went in, but unfortunately we need to wait 15 minutes. They didn't have some of the dishes we wanted (maybe because we entered without booking). The food was delicious. Over all, I recomend you to come here, and maybe you will be lucky to have your favorite dish, not like us :)) (by the way, if you don't love fish, it's k, cuz the also have french fries ☺)

You know a place is good when all the tables are booked in advance. I love businesses that thrive based on quality and good prices. Popasul Pescarilor is such a place. The fish based food was good and reasonably priced. I had rapane but I can’t say if the product was fresh or freeze because it had a light texture. As someone else says in a review, the waiting time is quite long. Come here not being hungry. The place looks tidy and beautiful decorated. A delight for lunch or dinner. The service was above and beyond. We had a young waiter that took very good care of us. I will come back.

Nice place....the sea is close the beach is clean... to bad that in this weekend the service was very bad. We stayed almost an hour to wait for a waiter to come to our table. Ans we waited for another hour and a half for the food.

Delicious fish dishes from sea next door. Delicate local wines and brews. Walking Access to the restaurant is over the railroad. Parking of cars is on other side of railroad, be ready to walk.

Their restaurant is good. However the hotel is a bad joke. Dirty toothbrush holders, ants and spiders in the room 🐜 (while traveling with 2 young children). No access to the beach unless you want to walk for 30min. The concept of Customer service? NON EXISTENT. I booked their apartment plus an additional room. I asked to pay the bill in full. They only charged me for 1 night…so when I got there I was charged again. Poor management, no flexibility. Not recommended.

Huge fish restaurant with indoor and outdoor tables serving a good variety of fish mostly caught in the Black Sea. Service is very attentive, however, the host lady guiding guests to the tables really lacks hospitality. CAUTION: look left and right when you cross the railway entering and exiting the restaurant!

2 stars because the received food was good. The service was bad, more than half on menu was not available. At 2pm they hand no more sups.

In my review, I can only relate to the restaurant, terrace and the beach. I have not stayed in the hotel. The entire experience was excellent. The food, the service, the way the place is designed and decorated, the beach and the sunbeds... again, excellent! I literally have no con to this place. Totally recommend! Hope next time I'll have more time and actually stay here in their hotel as well.

Definitely this is a genuine experience in a quiet front beach place. For those who're looking for an authentic local cuisine filled with local fish and sea food dishes. Everything in this place looks good in a perfect blue turquoise environment. A compound of finishings and well done details are designed to be a great matching with the service and food itself. I would rate this place with 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. A good balance between quality and price, nothing more than that ✨

We came here on a Saturday night in late August. It was full but we managed to find a table. The service was fast and amiable. We ordered the seafood platter, wild carp, fried potatoes and a green salad. Everything seemed fresh and well cooked though the seasoning was kind of basic so some items tastes a bit bland. We received complimentary bread and sauces which is something you almost never see anymore. With 2 drinks, everything was 200 ron (or 40 euro) which is not bad for our overpriced seaside in 2023. We recommend the placeand would visit again.

The location is nice, but be prepared for the long waiting time. We waited for around 30 min after we were seated just for someone to take our order. I think they are understaffed, but still.. if you're hungry it's just not the place to go. If you're not very hungry then you'll be until your food arrives. Also the quality of the food is mediocre, but the prices are not extremely expensive so I'd say it's ok. Not sure if I'd come back, maybe for the view and beach.

Reservation is needed, especially on the weekend. Overall nicely organized, good location for taking photos and tasty food.

Had a meal with my parents at the restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious fish and amazing service. We stood outside and they gave us pillows for the benches and blankets. The portions are generous and the food is fresh. Really enjoyed ourselves!

Restaurant right on the beach. Pretty good service, but servers don't look too happy. Got a waiter once that was sick (was having a cold or covid), he could better stayed home instead of spreading the virus. Food is tasty, fresh fish, we enjoyed our food each time we were there. We'll definitely go again.

I love the restaurant, one of the best on the Romanian sea side. Always fresh catch, high diversity and great service. The view is also lovely on the side of the sea.

Well organized, big restaurant with mainly fish and seafood dishes. Offseason it is not crowded but still a nice place to dine in. We've enjoyed the fish but we are disappointed with the seafood plater- squid rings were untatsy, octopus was chewy, shrimps overboiled. Overall it's a bit pricey for what they offer.

Very very good fish/sea food restaurant. You have multiple choices and everything is delicious. We had fish soup and oyster in red sauce - just amazing. Highly recommend it!

The location is beautiful, there are many parking spots, but be careful at the passing trains when you go in. The restaurant is very well organised inside and outside. The food is good, but a little pricey because of its notoriety. The staff is friiendly and the service is good compared to other places around. Also, it looks to be a child friendly place.

super good natural spicy shells super good, I recommend them! also super good borscht! instead the booking process is difficult, I do not answer the phone and you never find a table. the girls at the reception are not supportive. instead the experienced waiters and the prices are above average. all in all a good location

The best restaurant across Romanian seaside coast, highly recommend it! Lovely atmosphere, situated right on the beach, an idilic place with amazing, fresh food. I tried the fish egg salad and mussels, rich portions perfectly suitable for 2 people. I will definitely go back again there. Furthermore, the staff is very friendly and even on a very crowded weekend evening, waiting time is decent. Well done, Popasul Pescarilor!

Terrible. The staff refommended us the most remote table even the restaurant was half empty. They let us go away with no try to bring us in. 0 experience with customers, find a better place or you might risk to have a very bad experience.

Nice place, close to center, clean and quiet

Crowded, slow service, average food but way to expensive (yeah, talking about the fish). There are many others in the area I would recommend as an alternative. Side dish - simple. potatoes was weird in taste. Nice overview of a small beach with almost white sand.

Good food, nice view, you can stay a full day around, on the beach. During the summer season, don't forget to make a reservation before going. Otherwise, you don't stand any chance to catch a free table.

Very nice location, exactly on the beach. For any seafood lover. Great selection of local fish, capture of the day. Also offers alternatives for not-fish lovers. Service is good and fast, food is great. I don't miss it when I arrive in the area. Great place for sunbathing during the day as well.

Initially I had doubts but they were dispelled when I visited the location. Positioned discreetly but in a wonderful setting by the sea. About the menu ... especially thanks to even the most sophisticated tastes ..... overall you should not miss this location
