I stayed there for a night because I was in the city and saw there was deal online. To sum it all up, it was an underwhelming experience to say the least for a 5 star hotel, the staff is ok, but the place is way overated. I got there because I saw a deal online. Once I checked in, the room was clean. Although tap water smelled, I'm not sure if it is a city problem or the piping system but taking a shower with that water was not an enjoyable experience. The bar and restaurant were closed due to a couple of events happening that evening (they should have space for guests like any other hotel of a similar rating). The minibar was empty even though it is advertised at the hotel's brochure. Parking is kind of problematic due to the limited space and lack of marking. Breakfast was included, yes. But for a five star hotel, you would expect good quality products but this time it was not the case. It was basically a breakfast you could expect from a 3 star hotel, which is not bad. But you were expecting something else. I would not come back. I've been to manta many times and I can guarantee you that you can get an Airbnb for a cheaper price and have a better experience.

We visited the rooftop and we had a great experience, no reservation is required. The place is nicely decorated and the seating is very comfortable. From here you'll have spectacular views of the city and the ambience is relaxed. The drinks are priced slightly above the average but totally worth it just because of the experience

This is the worst hotel/condos we have stayed in. EXTREMELY noisy, it is known as Party Central. The hotel staff was very unfriendly and the spa people were rude when we asked for prices. If I could have give them 0 stars I would.

The caesar salad with chicken was delicious and the ocean view was relaxing. Beautiful artwork! The best part was the music was not loud!!

We rated this hotel at 4 stars a few years ago, but now it's showing its age and not in a good way. The lobby is dark and needs refurbishing (and a vending machine in the corner, really? ). The maintenance is also lacking; a lot of broken tiles, dirty floors in the elevators, building trim pieces missing, and the need for paint. It just seemed old. We'll wander a little further down the beach the next time we visit.

We didn't stay there but we did visit the restaurant and bar. Food was really good and staff were accommodating. Looking forward to going back again.

Hotel is located in a growing/modern area of Manta, surrounded by other high buildings and night life. Hotel and room are clean, look good, great view.

The incessant noise from car stereos on the road in front of the hotel will keep you up most of the night. The volume in the room was measured at 85 decibels. This occurs every night of the week. There are sins posted stating "no alcohol or loud music". But the vehicles that violate rhis daily do not care about signs or people sleeping. This is not a cultural thing. It is a small number (10-12) of vehicles that routinely violate the language on the signs. The police come 2-3 times a night to run them off. But this takes anywhere up to an hour. There are no tickets (or rides to jail) given to the violators. So they come back the next night. Suggestion to perspective guests: bring ear plugs and book rooms on the ocean side!

Just awful, the worst experience ever! my kid got sick because of the weather and he couldn't sleep because there were people parked outside with huge speakers in their cars playing EXTREMELY loud music all night for our entire stay, they didn't care about the police, when the police came they just turned off the music and when the police left they turned it on again

The hotel is located near to a disco and bar. So if you go on weekends it might not be as quiet as you expect. The pool was too crowded so it might be an inconvenience. The breakfast was good and the services too.

This is the second time we stay in hotel posiedon and believe me it's the worst experience. The staff is completely unfriendly, they are worst hosts. The pool is totally crowded. Only 4.rooms in each level have a view, the rest are just 4 walls with a nice bed and ac. I would.consider going somewhere else where people are friendlier.

Beautiful 5 star hotel located in Manta Ecuador. It is within walking distance to LA Quadra (restaurant row) and an easy walk to many other restaurants. The Mall De Pacifico is a $2 cab ride away. There are taxis located outside the hotel. Some of the hotel staff are also fluent in English, which is helpful for non Spanish speakers. There is a restaurant located at the pool, as well as on the top floor. The rooftop restaurant is open Thurs through Saturday. Sleeping can be difficult due to noise from the area hotels as well as people parking and playing music into the wee hours. The hotel needs to address this. We purchased ear plugs at the local pharmacy and this seemed to help. The neighborhood felt very safe. We did not venture out at night. Area beaches are within close proximity. We preferred Santa Marianita which was an $8 cab ride. Overall, we really like the Hotel Poseidon and its beautiful ocean views of the Manta coast.

For all the time I spent here, I loved almost every minute. The room was huge with a nice kitchen and lovely bedrooms. Not to mention the astounding view of the beach/ocean. Service was great, I have no complaints about that. As for the location, there are amazing restaurants and a mall within walking distance. I didn't go to the built in spa, but the restaurant was great. My only complaint, and reason that I didn't give 5 stars was the mosquito problem that arose for the rest of the trip when we opened the door to the balcony for about 3 mins max. Overall a beautiful experience. Bring mosquito spray.

Excelent hotel with great veiw and customer service, a bit pricey and the gym is small and inefficient! For that I gave 4 stars.

This Hotel is the worst. The staff not friendly. The apartments have a horrible sewer smell. The air conditioning doesn’t work. The water is not clear in the shower or faucets. The manager/supervisors don’t care about the complaints. The restaurant is overpriced and the food is not the greatest. I do not recommend anyone to stay on this property. You will be highly dissatisfied. The pool is very small and dirty. The tile in the pool is very slippery. The drinks are very expensive. We stayed here thinking it was a great place. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Great restaurant & night club. I hear very noisy in that area for rooms though. Go figure.
