Walked in at 6.45pm (when they open) on a Thursday night end March and we were first in their line for people without reservations. They seated us but needed the table back at 8pm, which was fine for us. Arancini - 5 stars Delicious fried balls of rice with shaved truffles on top. Burrata - 4 stars Average. Seafood gnocchi - 4 stars My husband loved this but found the gnocchi pieces smaller than he would like. It was too fishy for me (although he says it's fishy in a good, fresh way). Truffle pasta - 5 stars SO delicious. Love the pasta shape, which went perfectly with the creamy sauce that managed to somehow not be too cloying. Loved the decor (would be such a fun place for a dinner with friends) and the service was fantastic. Would definitely go back! One of the best pastas I've had and at very reasonable prices. Only gripe is not many pasta choices (I checked the menus in the Big Mamma group outlets in Paris and the menu looks similar.

What a fantastic find Splendido was!! This fun, upbeat, classy Italian restaurant was amazing in many and quirky ways. First off, the staff were brilliant, helpful, and friendly. We had a plate of mouth watering Salami and the oversized Buratta covered with crumbed pistachio for starters, which we shared and absolutely loved... There was only one main we were going to have, and that was the Truffle pasta. Everyone was having them. It is probably their signature dish, being served in bright copper pan's this was a feast on the eyes as well in the mouth...Splendicious 👌👌 And if the food isn't enough to make you happy, wait till you use the restrooms and toilets, an entertainment in their own right 👏 So, if you're in Marseille for a few days, this is a must restaurant to visit. Enjoy!

Obviously incredibly decorated, but you can see that from any photo. We were sat on the terrace right away, as we didn’t have a reservation (we just walked by and thought it looked good!) The pizza was delicious, and the crust was chewy and lovely :) The lemon pie was the highlight though, not to mention the service was great.

You always know what you’re getting with Big Mama group restaurants. No surprises which can be good when you’re extra hungry. But sometimes it can be a little boring. I had the Truffle pasta which is exactly the same as Circo Popolare’s and Gloria’s in London.

The new menu is amazing! We had the flame pizza and pasta from Naples. The profiterole was awesome. The place is so beautiful....The staff was so nice. Alex was the best! I had a fantastic birthday party! Alex, Alex, Alex, Alex, Alex!!!!

Great italian restaurant in the center of Marseille. Good Napolitanean pizzas and fish, the meat was okay. Fancy/kitsch decoration, specially the toilets. Nice place to go.

The Splendido is a super funny location, which really reminds to a circus. The ambience is just great and wild. The service is great as well. The food is good, let’s say between 3 and 4 stars. Just come here and enjoy a super crazy (in a positive way 😜) dinner location.

The atmosphere is just wonderful, it's nice and cosy, carefully designed every little detail. We had the arancini tartufo as a starter and for 9 euros it's not a great value for money, the portion is tiny and nothing special. For primi piati we had the pasta and the steak, the portions were a good size and the food was tasty. But again maybe my expectations for the food were too high, the food was good but nothing over the top. I would still recommend visiting the place, as it's really an experience on it's own to just be there. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Splendido is... splendid. One of our best finds in Marseille during our short 4-day stay. The decoration screams tourist trap, but the food is anything but. The truffle pasta is one of the best pasta I've ever had and the tiramisu is to die for. The pizza dough is soft and tasty. 10/10 will return. Make a reservation because the restaurant gets very crowded.

Their stunning decorations has impressed me, even in the restroom. I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious truffle pasta and the option to add extra parmesan cheese offered from a staff. The drinks complemented the meal perfectly. I'm definitely revisit this amazing place again next time when I visit Marseille!

I think I never experienced anything as nice as the Splendido in terms of Italian food. Everything was perfect. A lovely Italian waiter welcomed us although we had no reservation. The restaurant was full. He managed to sit us in a very nice corner. We went on with à perfect and delicious pizza with truffle and a fantastic fruit non alcoholic cocktail. And we did manage to get a delicious and incredible pistaccio tiramisu. The waitress Lea was so professional but everyone was so kind. Everything was served in beautiful plates and dishes and the decoration is wonderful. Wait until you see the bathroom. It is hard to leave the Splendido. High quality in every way. Do book beforehand

Everything was great about this restaurant. From the food to the service was great not to mention the atmosphere of of the restaurant inside is very cool. The waiters were very helpful, speaking several languages, including Spanish, English, and French. I would totally recommend it not to mention the food was amazing. We had a few pastas and a pizza that was amazing, I would go back

Amazing restaurant! Part of the Big Mamma Group. Incredible extravagant decor and a great vibe. The restaurant is surprisingly big and service is great and food comes quickly. The food was delicious - great quality and good variety of pastas and pizzas. Would highly recommend the truffle pasta.

The best restaurant we’ve had in our entire Europe trip. From the entrance, to the service and especially the food. And the bill was only 95 euros for 4 mains. I’m also glad we managed to get a reservation in advance. Highly recommended

We came across this place on our way back to the hotel and can’t help but notice the crowd and club-like setting. A quick search showed high ratings from a large number of reviewers which got us interested to try the restaurant out. I managed to get a reservation for the same day easily via Google Maps. The restaurant is also quite tech savvy, equipped with QR codes to scan for English and French menus. You can also make payment by scanning the QR code. We were served by Erwin and he gave good recommendations on the drinks to order. The ambience was really interesting - it was the highlight for our visit there, especially the toilet. The truffle pasta and “hot damn” pizza were slightly heavy for us and we felt sated after a while. The drinks were pretty decent. Worth a visit to see their interesting concept.

This restaurant is an experience. The indoor decoration is so crazy and fun. The food and coctails were great. They do QR code menu and payment. It took quite some time for the waiter to come and take our order though. The overall experience was still good, I would really recommend trying this place. We booked a table through their website and everything went smoothly and we got our table quickly.

Excellent food, nice decors and warm atmosphere . We received excellent service from Lea and the other staff. Food was delicious (we had beef steak, seafood pasta, tiramisu and coffee). Highly recommended and value for money.

Turned up without making a reservation (was recommended last minute) a lovely lady asked us to wait for a moment while they sorted a table. Within a few moments we were seated, the decor was fantastic and it held a fantastic atmosphere. Everyone working was polite, smiley and attentive. The food smelled amazing and we decided on sharing a pizza and the truffle pasta ... It was amazing! Very tasty food paired with lovely wine with a great atmosphere. Special mention to Laura who was a fantastic server in a busy restaurant.

Tasty food if you’ll prefer Italian. Very nice and interesting decoration. I think you can stop by and spend a dinner here. Service was also extremely fast ( probably because we had 1 hour limited reservetion 🤭 ) PS: Visit the toilettes !

I was on awe of the decor. Food amazing too and very reasonably priced. Cool how you can view the menu after scanning the QR code and pay for the bill that way too. However, if you wish to see the paper style menu and pay cash/card that's also possible. I'm telling all my friends about this place!!

The service here is certainly lacking, to say the least. I don' t really understand the point of a making a reservation if you have to wait in line even if you made a reservation. (We made a 8:45 pm reservation, but waited until 10:00 pm to be seated.) Also, waiting to be checked in for the reservation, and subsequently seated, was pure chaos. You are roped off with the cordon rouge and treated like cattle. Once inside it is truly frenetic - super loud and no one really knows what is going on, or can hear anything. They kept bringing Acqua Panna to our table despite telling the waiter and the waitress 5 separate times we did not order it. We also ordered the Sicilian wine to pair with the Italian food, but had to scream at the waiter after a few times of insisting we had ordered the Sicilian wine and NOT the French wine. The Pizza was delicious. The fish was pretty tasteless. The tiramisu was incredible. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful. If you could take the pizzas to go and sidestep all the insanity that would be so ideal.

Perfect! The interior of the restaurant can only be described with the words fabulous, it's a Sicilian restaurant and this is very vivid with mostly all waiters speaking both French and Italian. The food was amazing, I had the fillet of fish and my wife had the goat cheese salad, there seems to be a translation issue in the English menu, the fillet fish shows up as fillet of meat and the goat cheese salad is goat cheese camembert. This was not explained properly by the waiting staff The staff seem nice enough,however they are very busy and constantly going around. Overall a great restaurant to visit while in Marseille.

Amazing decoration & the pizzas were fab, so much so that we went back a 2nd time! The only bad part was we had to wait almost an hour for a table, despite having a reservation. They also took a very long time to clear our plates, by which time the kitchen had closed and we were unable to order dessert. Despite this, I'd definitely recommend a visit if you're in Marseille. The food was reasonably priced for the style of restaurant, I would definitely go again!

It was the first time that I am visiting a restaurant from the chain and I had very high expectations. Unfortunately, we didn’t like the food. Cacio and Pepe was super spicy, it had too much pepper. The truffle pasta had plain taste. The service was okay, not amazing. We weren’t offered parmesan for the pasta so we wanted to ask for some, we waited and waited but the waiter wasn’t paying attention. The decor is amazing and you can pay the bill by yourself just by scanning the QR code. I will probably give them a chance again.

You must have a reservation for this place, probably a few days in advance. We booked it a week ahead of time. Most photos make this place appear “cheap circus” but it’s not! It’s “classy circus”. We had reservations, but we waited in line outside until we were next in line to talk with the lady in charge of letting people in, the hostess. Once she checks your name on the list, you are escorted to your table. That may take a while because this restaurant is big in comparison to most Marseille restaurants. The atmosphere was fun but not cheap fun, and it reminded me a bit of that movie “The Greatest Show on Earth”. The food was really delicious and the customer service was really good and kind. I ate the truffle linguini which was really great and the pistachio gelato, which was the best gelato I’ve had in Marseille since 2010 when we arrived! I also was able to taste test the pizzas, salad, and pasta. Overall, great experience and I plan on going back with friends or family soon!

Léa is a super waiter and her team too. I really recommend this place, the meals are very tasty and fresh. It worth the money, this is a really Good italian experience. The toilets are the best toilet ever !!!

Went here for lunch on the 9th of November. Walked by this place and saw a nice queue inside so decided to ask for a table and have some lunch. The decor of the place is a bit unusual but it's not off putting. The bar is actually very beautiful. The food itself was tasty and the pasta was not overcooked. Be sure to try their panacota with pear, that was a very pleasant surprise. The staff was friendly and spoke passable english. The service was a bit on the slow side but I think that could be due to the floor plan of the restaurant itself, has it has lots of pillars and even some stairs which makes it hard to keep an eye on everyone. They have a QR system which not only includes the menu but you can also pay for your meal without having to call anyone.

Had an amazing dinner there with my friend for her birthday. We were served by Marco that night and he was friendly and energetic. Would recommend this place for its foods, decor and service 😎 and the truffle pasta is something to die for

Food was good Staff was authentic, and friendly (sometimes too friendly.. we wait a lot for having deserts, bread and addition because ou serveur was sited with some customers chatting..) If you go there ask to be inside and not in the terraces cause outside there is too many noises (street, cars..)

Super fun atmosphere and the food and service are great. The Neapolitan pizza was superb. The pasta totally homemade and delicious. We loved it!
