The taste is reminds of Taiwan, and price is fair in general. The Tawainese satisfaction is a bit too simple for the price charged, and the sausage is tiny :( but full of flavor ;p. Bubble tea is highly recommended! The bubble tea is well balanced with a nice tea flavor and the bubbles more on the soft end making it a great choice. One of the best bubble teas in Amsterdam.

It’s been 2 years since the last time I felt really back in Taiwan. The black sugar Pearl milk tea was THE BOMB! 😭 🤤 you cannot come to this place and not try it! My Taiwanese friend recommended me to have brunch here, and since we were visiting Amsterdam we decided to give it a go. We ordered the scallion beef pancake with a side of sweet potato fries as a side dish and we loved it! The staff is super attentive and friendly, and let’s not talk about the chef/老闆!她很厲害啊👍🏻 I will come back again soon, and hopefully I can try their Taiwanese fried chicken, one of the dishes I miss the most!

A friend of mine introduced me to this place. I must have cycled by here a million times and never noticed it. But I’m glad I got a chance to try out the food and tea here. The bubble tea was fantastic. As was the food. It’s a small family run business. The couple running it are really sweet and helpful. There is a evening dinner option on Thursday which I would recommend. Nice unassuming, but interesting food and drink to try. Recommended.

Such a great brunch place! The wraps are delicious: we tried the beef pancake and the kimchi one and they were both delightful. The pearl tea is also very good. There is a lovely doggo in the restaurant so keep that in mind if you're super allergic.

Second time visiting now! Settled in late afternoon and ordered a iced matcha latte and the "morning burger". Waiting time wasn't too long, it was just right as once the order came to the table everything looked so good. The iced matcha latte had a soft taste (normal milk) and good ice to drink ratio. The burger was hot and juicy, seasoned very well and everything tasted fresh. Sweet potato fries on the side with a lil' mayo dip finished the deal for me. The fries were also seasoned very well and everything just tasted as good as it looked. I was also happy about the runny egg on the burger, it blended well with the homemade cocktailsauce. Will deffo visit again, hoping they'll serve their Taiyaki once more when I come back.

What an amazing lovely place. First of all I should mention that you have to order at the bar. It says it at the entrance and on the tables. I guess since it was not too busy someone came by our table, explained the menu and took our order. I had the beef pancake roll, popcorn chicken (I think they call it karage in the online menu) and a coffee pearl milk. The beef pancake is rich with fresh cucumber, salad, in your mouth melting beef and delicious sauce. Next to it they serve salted and pepered edamame. I was surprised with the size you get for the price. Usually places around that area are much more expensive. Anyhow, that beef pancake was a flavour explosion and worth every penny. The chicken popcorn was great too. It has a distinctive flavour element that makes it in my opinion stand out from the common karage you usually get in Japanese restaurants. Finally the coffee pearl milk has the perfect proportions of milk, pearls, and coffee. Not on ther menu, but it was advertised on a board, I ordered a taiyaki with sweet red beans. Also that was delicious and a good company to my coffee after the meal. I highly recommend that place and will gladly come back to try more of their menu.

Visited this place for brunch with the a friend. The service was amazing with very polite and caring waiters. Food is overpriced, the portions are way too small for what they charge. Would visit again but will not be a regular spot for me.

I've probably tried everything on the menu and love taking new friends here to try it out. Food is always delicious and comforting. Service is sometimes slow because they're often busy and understaffed, but they are always very friendly and accommodating. So I try to manage expectationa by coming on a day where I have time to enjoy it :)

So many friends have told me how good this place is but I just never got the chance to visit. This afternoon I planed a little escape form work. The Taiwanese fried chicken probably would be the best I have ever had in Amsterdam! The shame is that I forgot to add paper on it lol. The beef roll has lots of beef!!! Very satisfying. And the fried soft bun is sooo good to imma gonna cry. The staffs are quite friendly and easy to talk to. Will try the black sugar boba tea in the future. Hope the restaurants will be open soon so I can hang out with friends here.

Coffee is really good here. All 5 stars are for the coffee :D I ordered the iced cappuccino. Also to comment on the food - the wraps are really good. Specially because of the crepe they use, it's really soft. I ordered the mushroom one and my friend ordered a meat based. When compared, the mushroom one was better. Also the wrap was quite big! Good portions.

We come here every weekend — the pancakes are THAT GOOD. My absolute favorite is miso mushroom pancake (don’t forget to add omelette and avocado!). Edamame covered in 5-spice make a delicious snack, and Thaiwanese chicken bites are *chefs kiss*. The place is very cosy too, sloths decorations and plushies are adorable. And the staff is great, it’s always lovely to see the team.

Surprised to see a Taiwanese restaurant nearby after moving into our new apartment (and searching for Korean food). Ordered delivery to celebrate and was even more surprised to find the food still beautifully "plated" in the boxes! The teriyaki chicken was delicious -- the chicken wasn't fatty or slightly undercooked like the vast majority of restaurants that offer it. The soy duck burger was AMAZING, and both my partner (who usually dislikes duck) and I (the opposite) loved it. Pancake roll was pretty good, too. If I were rich I'd order from this place every day.

You don't get food like this in many places. Slowth Brunch manages to walk that thin line of incredibly satisfying food that's also interesting from a culinary point of view. Everything on their menu is a delight and the place is decorated and ran with a wonderful quirky style that's perfect for destressing. So if you're looking for the best Taiwanese in the Netherlands or are simply looking for amazing food, it's well worth making some time to drop by Slowth Brunch.

Creative, delicious and amazing Taiwanese - Japanese brunch with beautiful presentation! My family and I visited Amsterdam last year and our local host - our brother - brought us here. It was so memorable that we came again this year and was impressed again! It's also close to the tram stop and with comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. Deserves a visit!

Cozy brunch cafe☕️ plenty of Taiwan + Japanese food / dessert and drinks. Recommend Hojicha Latte and Taiwan pancake, they totally bring me to the time when I traveled to Taipei and spent whole day in the cafe at the corner of the street. Quite busy during the weekend even not during the lunch time, so please arrive early or make a reservation in advance.

1 star for the food, 5 stars for the drinks. Not really Taiwanese food, maybe I had too high expectation. They use little bit of Taiwanese element and localize it. Pretty disappointed tbh. Bubble tea was amazing tho. Recommend just to take the drinks.

I already ordered multiple times from slowth brunch. Love their chicken burger and sweet potato fries and bubble tea. Can taste the bun has a little sweetness which I like a lot and the fried chicken is well seasoned and crispy. The sweet potato fries is tasty too, the seasoning enhance sweet potato flavor, which I like so much! Bubble tea is good too, I always like it hot, but I think they only serve it warm, if they can make it a real hot drink, will be perfect!

(Translated by Google) Delicious !!!! Thanks to the corona virus I had to order my food online but I was very pleasantly surprised! The delivery person was very fast and super friendly. I had the Formosa pancake and the Macha pearl milk tea and they were both UNWISE TASTY !! The formosa pancake had a lot of flavor, fluffy but still crunchy. The Boba tea was so delicious that I now doubt to order a second one. Compliments for this delicious delivery! Highly recommended!! (Original) Heerlijk!!!! Ik had de Formosa pancake en de Macha pearl milk tea en ze waren beide ONWIJS LEKKER!! De formosa pancake had onwijs veel smaak, fluffy maar toch crunchy. Took them 40 minutes to get the food out (the place was not busy). The beef pancake was 90% cabbage with a bit of beef on top. Not worth the price.

  • 4/5 es p. 1 year ago on Google
I had the beef pancake. The food was good but poor presentation and too small portion for the price(11,90). Wasn't full at all after I finished it. Also the bubble tea a bit overprized, couldn't taste taro much. People serving are very kind. Might visit again if they do something about the price or portion.

The food here was amazing! But the service was pretty slow and confusing. We already reserved a table but when we arrived, we had to wait a while as all the tables were taken. We got seated at a 2-person table (though we had reserved for 3) so we were squashed, and when tables next to us wanted to leave we all had to move or risk them knocking into our drinks. We waited a while to order until we finally flagged a server, who then told us we had to order at the counter. They could have said this when they sat us down. Other than that, the food itself was really delicious. We had the Taiwanese satisfaction mixed platter with chicken schnitzel, bites, etc, the fried chicken pancake roll, and the Formosa pancake with corn, ham & cheese. We also ordered hot and cold bubble teas, all of which were amazing. They offer to adjust the sugar amount, which I personally always prefer to reduce. I'd come back to try more dishes, but I think they should communicate better with the customers and maybe step up the service a bit. The sloth-themed decorations are cute!

Lovely cafe, with a theme "slowdown and lay back". They have a book with a story on taking slow and positive mental health. Coming to the food, it's simple, packed with Asian flavour, reasonably priced and catering to most of the dietary requirements. Would highly recommend. For some positivity dose , ask for their mascot " Brian the Sloth" ..

Ordered delivery. Food was nice but where are the rest of my fries bro?

  • 2/5 Pierre C. 3 years ago on Google
Ordered a burger & drink to be delivered, overall quality of the burger was disappointing (mediocre meat & bread, lots of sauce). Packaging is also not made for delivery, so by the time I received the burger it had fallen apart inside the box and spread its contents all over the fries. Sweet potato fries were good but small portion. Perhaps it is pleasant to eat here, but delivery and the quality of the burger needs some improvement.
