This shrine is one of the Jinguu(related to Emperor) in Japan. This shrine is enshrined "Emperor Jinmu", the first Emperor. The area of shrine is so huge, and very quiet. The birds are singing, and the sunlight is shining through the leaves of trees. That is very beautiful. You can see the great and majestic style of the shrine building structure. The shrine building is one of the Important cultural properties in Japan. Of course, you can buy many souvenirs of this shrine, For example, many kinds of charm(amulet)!

Charming oasis. Very mellow, lots of wonderful spots to relax. Near the natural history museum and an easy walk to the Peace Tower park. Worth a ramble

Love this sacred place to visit! The first emperor, Jimmu, is enshrined in this shrine. You can also enjoy walking in the solemn forest. From the end of April to the beginning of May, big wisteria tree, which is believed to be more than 400 years old, is in bloom. If you have time, you should also go to the prefectural museum and traditional houses in the northern part of the forest. In the east of the forest, you can also visit Inari shrine, which has beautiful red gates dedicated to the God. Parking is free of charge.

A nice place. May be it will take maximum 2-3h to see everything. But the entrance and the walking spaces are beautiful.

Beautiful shrine, a short walk from station, nice place to take a short walk thru a small forest. You actually forget you are in the city. Very relaxing and a great place to take pictures. No stairs so baby car friendly.

Was great - well kept and when I went was no one around which made it even better 🙂

Beautiful shrine with a calm atmosphere. It wasn’t crowded at all when we visited so exploring the shrine through its large grounds and garden area was amazing. The shrine also has a row of tori gates and is lovely for an evening stroll.

Visited later in the afternoon, around 4pm on a weekday, and it was empty. Very tranquil shrine, surrounded by trees and woods.
