An iconic park of Miyazaki city. all the stones used in building the tower were brought from several Asian countries once Imperial Japan was their ruler.

Nice park in Miyazaki city. Gates close at 5pm, so be careful to go home before gates close.

It was so green (summertime) and picturesque., clean and relaxing. There is a bus that goes there from Miyako city but you have to walk a bit far from where the bus stops. We saw doves and it was indeed a peaceful place, as the name suggests. Lots of trees and greenery. I highly recommend it for nature lovers. I added some photos when we visit this place on a springtime. The tulips were so colorful.

The tower in Miyazaki, built in 1940, was a symbol of Japan's expansion and military might, linked to the mythology of the nation's first emperor, Jimmu. It was adorned with militaristic imagery and slogans, but was later renamed "Peace Tower" by American occupation forces in 1946, who removed its controversial inscriptions and statues.

If you like nature strongly recommend to visit this park. For kits there are two play area. One is small and the other one is large space. When I hear birds singing, I feel very comfortable.

Is a nice park with a big lake. Even is a rainy day but we are enjoying the quiet and cooling park. We could feel peace feeling. Take chance for a short hike around the lake (2.05km). Besides, you will also find some nice mini statues near the park. A small playground just close to it, kids will be enjoying it.

Picturesque views of the Tower of Peace, haniwa burial.mound figurines (replicas), beautiful paths in the forest and along the lake, where a lot of ducks swim. We were there in spring so had an opportunity of gazing on the sakura trees in bloom. Walking there is a therapy for mind and very calmful.

The park seems to need maintenance, and would definitely be better during any season but winter, but seeing the sunset over the peace tower was still a wonderful experience!

Delightful park. Very easy to feel your not even in a city, but in some distant forest. There are some serious hills in here, so just be prepared to hike around

A park where white doves, a symbol of peace, are flying Recommended when you want to spend a relaxing time surrounded by nature. There is also a restaurant on site.
