I'm not from Montgomery and to be honest my expectations with regard to food, drink and entertainment aren't that high for Montgomery. My criteria for a bar that I will frequent is #1 the skill of the bartender, #2 the atmosphere and lastly the patrons. I've been to KRU twice and was really surprised; the cocktails I drank were excellent. It's a clean bar with an excellent bartender i.e. David and a relaxing atmosphere. The patrons seem to be regulars...good people.

Best bar in Montgomery by a mile. Mendel is an amazing bar owner. The atmosphere, drinks, art, and the patrons are all top notch. The patio and the inside are both so great, you’ll find yourself not knowing where to enjoy your time there.

KRU is a great place to chill and have a good drink. There's always a good vibe and wonderful people to meet.

Easily the best bar in town. Try a Shrunken Skull if you like fruity drinks or a Red Arrow if you like something bittersweet and spiced. It’s a chill bar/lounge atmosphere most of the time, but gets pretty lively on DJ nights! Check the Facebook page and plan accordingly.

This is the best chill bar in Montgomery, hands down. The drinks aren't expensive, plus you get served by an award winning bartender. Seriously, ask him about it. There's a ping pong table, the place is filled with art, and the back patio is spacious and inviting.

I had a Moscow mule which was awesome. I loved the ambiance and option to play old school games. The prices were reasonable. Chris was the bartender while I was there He was personable, kind and easy to talk to. Drinks are not watered down. I'm from Columbus but the next time I'm in Montgomery I will visit this bar again.

Great bar! Best place to stop in Montgomery for drinks! We stopped for a beer and ended up staying a couple of hours just talking with the owner about his travels throughout Europe. Greetings from Berlin, Germany!

The patio was nice. Very noisy inside. Cocktails tasted quite weak or just off. All beers are canned or bottled, no draft. No music to speak of.
