This is a warning to save yourself and book ANYWHERE else. DISCLAIMER: I don’t normally write reviews, but I feel the need to save others. To begin we waited to check in for 30 minutes. There were two other people ahead of us checking in. While the line continued to grow it became clear the front desk employee had no idea what the process involved. While the couple ahead of us was checking in the manager came out to address the crowd. I should rephrase that - the manager came out to yell at the guests in line. He advised that there is no need to be upset (which no one had said anything about) and that his staff was readjusting to opening after the pandemic. He also noted that he is PROUD of the work his staff is doing. I have stayed at multiple hotels since the start of the pandemic and none seemed to have the issues this hotel (IE a half hour check in). After we waited in line for 30 minutes we were told no rooms were ready and to come back at 4PM. Another couple in our group were however, able to check in at 3PM. After we finally got our keys at 9PM we made the way to our room. After the elevator ride we were greeted with a plastic covered hallway full of drywall dust, brackets laying on the floor and the sounds of a saw running. When we opened the door to our room I could not help but laugh at the joke being played on us. The room which I believe was an upgrade from the room we asked for was pathetic. The jacuzzi tub had old water left in it, the wallpaper was peeing off the wall, cracks in the wall, cracks in the tile and the bathroom sink, the bathroom fan did not work. Oh! And BLACK MOLD growing around the tub. It was clear there was numerous water damage “repairs” done to the ceiling. The bedside tabletops were not cleaned they were dusty, had bottle ring residue, and drops of god knows what on them. The bedspread had stains and the sheets did not even cover the mattress. We sat on the couch and a cloud of dust came out. These rooms are unclean, everything was sticky, a film of dust covered everything. Also, the unexpected fees everyone is discussing are true. Maybe pay $20 for parking and sleep in your car. Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!

To start off we found a lipstick stain on the paper cup that we took out of plastic wrapping… after already drinking from it. I myself do not wear lipstick nor does my boyfriend. The pool was closed at 9 (kinda early and annoying) we booked the room purely for the jacuzzi, unfortunately there was only two temperatures, ice cold or scalding. We were charged an extra 10$ for facility fee during check out (unfortunate beings we didn’t get to use the facilities as they were closed at 9) the hallways smell like a hospital not in a good way. The room is fairly dated. Definitely not worth what we paid for it. 110$ for the night plus the 30$ for parking and “facility fee” overall would not recommend. Oh and lastly, 3$ per water bottle in the room… I thought we lived in Canada where water is a basic human right. Lame.

Pros - Location is pretty good. Not near downtown, but not too far either. The hotel was decent, but did expect better from a Ramada. Cons - parking cost is a bit steep for overnight. Rooms weren't clean, floors didn't get vacuumed. Dated decor inside and out. Overall - if just need a room to stay the night and don't really care too much, then it's fine. There are 4 Ramada's in the area, this one is one of the not so good location. Also make sure you're booking and going to the right one.

The room was okay, clean enough. The washroom was clean too but had a weird, old smell. You could notice it as soon as you went in. I was glad we'd booked only for one night. For the price we paid it was good. Just wished it smelled nicer. Room 510.

Before I start, I know this is a budget hotel and not expecting a 5 star experience. That being said, it still disappointed my wife and I. The few positives. The staff was fast during check in and room was ready on time. They did have a decent amount of "security" even that most of them were on their phones when I would walk by. But hey, for a place that I expected no security or maybe just one, it was nice to see multiple. Pool was nice, good temperature, and empty when we went. As other reviews stated, the bottom of the pool needs to be redone but it really isn't that bad. Now here for the multiple complaints. Staff lack social skills. After the first night, both key cards stopped working when trying to reenter at 1pm. When we went to the desk to fix it the girl blamed it on us saying we deactivated it by putting it near other cards? It doesn't make sense but even if it did, my wife had it in a separate pocket. I assume it was more because they only activated it for the one night instead of the whole time we were staying there. Either way, they could've just apologized and fixed it. Another staff problem was at 8:20am while we were sleeping, I heard a light knock, We both assumed it was for another room as we had a DO NOT DISTURB sign on our door. One minute later I heard it again. I rushed to put clothes on and it really sketched me out at first. It was a house keeper randomly giving me 2 towels that no one asked for? Now for our room. While it's not outdated, the lighting situation sucked. There's not a single ceiling light so the whole room is always pretty dark. The bathroom is VERY dark. Some items had really gross permanent stains. As well as some drawers had other peoples garbage in it. We had 2 queen beds and one was super rough and springy. Thankfully, the other one was soft and actually quite nice. Sheets and blankets sucked. The sheets actually didn't even properly fit the bed. Parking was $20 a night which is on the high side considering location but I will let it pass. My problem with the parking is the parking lot is huge with no security ever watching it. It backs onto a more residential area where locals will come and hang out in the back of. They need a gate or something to make it a little less inviting. The basement is sketchy and a fire hazard. It is how you get to the pool and where the "arcade" is. The elevator was taking a while, so we tried to find stairs, and there is none that we could find. following the exit signs, it just guided us to the pool, which does have an exit to outside, but you can't get into the pool area unless you have the specific key from the front desk. Even if we were missing it, if a fire was to happen, we would not be able to easily find out. Go somewhere else. There's a lot better hotels at similar price points.

Wow! Is all I have to say. I checked in the room was nice cute swans made on the bed with the towels. I liked the view from the little balcony that we had, it was a great Jacuzzi tub. BUT I went to use it and it didn’t work, from there everything went down hill. We had to move rooms because there was no maintenance staff on, the room was smaller, lower floor, opposite side of the building, not near as nice view the Jacuzzi tub was much smaller and there’s no fridge or microwave. Our room before had a fridge and a microwave and luggage stands to put your suitcase on. Our new room I had none of this, so I called to ask for a fridge and a microwave etc. the girl on the phone told me “we don’t have fridges and microwaves in the rooms here “ and I said I literally just came from a room with a fridge and a microwave…. So they brought us a fridge no microwave no luggage stands and I asked several times. The manager did waived our parking fees for the inconvenience of having to switch rooms, that was nice and obviously our room rate went down as well because we were not in as fancy of a room. The manager told me that he would let us know in the morning when the maintenance people were back if they could fix our tub and our lights in our previous room and if so we definitely wanted to go back there. Not once! did I hear from the manager again after that. Very disappointed in our stay and the care for follow up and good customer service. On top of all that rooms where run down roped lights tiny, shower stall, hair in the sink and just out dated and old looking. The towels were tiney. I am not a very large person in width in the towel barely wrapped around my body.

The issues I had were promptly resolved and the staff was very courteous. The hotel was quite nice and clean. It was also relatively close to the major attractions. For the price, the value was pretty good. Overall the stay was pretty good.

Honestly if I could I would give 0. So not recommend to stay here. Paid extra for a city view and got a view of the parking lot. There were water stains on the bathroom wall. Stains on the carpet. Our do not disturb sign was filthy dirty. There was garbage left out in the halls. The bathroom lighting was horrible. We booked for 2 days only stayed 1. If we weren’t going to lose money I wouldn’t even of stayed the first night

My experience at the Ramada was definitely not the worst, but could’ve been better as well. For context, my boyfriend and I got a Studio Suite with one king bed and a tub. I would like to say that the room and bathroom were both extremely clean, and came equipped with everything a standard hotel should have. In addition, all staff that we spoke to were very friendly and helpful. On the downside, there was no fridge in our unit (we knew this before booking but didn’t think it would be a big deal) so we had to use a bucket filled with ice to keep drinks cold which isn’t ideal. Also, the TV was probably from 1987, but this didn’t seem like a problem as my boyfriend brought his play station to hook up to it. We asked the staff and sure enough, the TV doesn’t hook up to external devices. This would’ve been good information to know before hand. Lastly, I’d say the major issue, or piece of advice (but this goes without saying in terms of hotels and is most likely more my fault than anything) is to not leave things behind as you will most likely not be getting them back. I left a pair of pants behind somehow (even though I checked everything) and made numerous attempts to contact the hotel, and either no one would pick up the phone or I would just be connected to a voicemail box (of a person who would never call me back). So lack of communication after your booking might be something this Ramada location can work to fix. All in all, I don’t regret the stay.

Bad beds, bed comforters had gross stains , they knowingly rent rooms to rowdy guests specially to rooms that has a door as separation between two guest room ( buyer Br ware). Please always ask to avoid rooms with such arrangement. Ensure that you get sanitized and clean bed sheets/comforters and check the condition of beds .

Service: Upon check-in there was no one at the front desk but we didn’t wait long, the girl who checked us in was nice and she came out of the office quickly to check us in. She seemed a little nervous and maybe new to the job. However at check-out, the front desk was staffed. We waited for a bit until I had to announce to them we were waiting to be serviced as there was three girls socializing and on the phone in the back office. Finally, one of them came out. Room: Was not clean. We found strands of hair in various spots in the room, in the bed and bathroom. There was a spoonful of sand in the tub and a candy wrapper on the couch. We didn’t use the pool and arcade area but took a look and it is outdated and located in the basement. To use the arcade games you need to buy tokens. Small pool but used. The gym was closed. Parking is $20.00 a night plus a $5.00 service fee.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Had the worst service. The pnd machine was defective and it charged me$ 400 bones and the girl working said she did n’t charge me indeed though I was showing her my bank account with the charge. I had to deal with.

Loved having the deck, the staff was amazing and so friendly also. I've stayed at best westerns, doubletree, and Hilton, and the jacuzzi hogshead and the room was bigger at the Ramada.

First off, this is a totally average hotel but at a fair price and with great customer service. Anything we asked for like extra pillows, towels, how to use the hot tub, package upgrade was granted happily and patiently by their staff. The IHOP was good. The decor is a little outdated but how much time do you really spend in your room? Most outstanding was that I left my watch and one of the new front desk staff, Alex went above and beyond with the help of housekeeping to retrieve it for me as I drove back from out of town. 4 stars because excellent customer service is appreciated! (Plus we had a balcony on our room which is hard to find in Niagara)

Service is great except for every time we stay, there's always some issue with the first key we get. This time the hall machines in the basement weren't functional. You can not beat the position for the price.

This was unequivocally the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The decor is dated, dreary, and nothing is appealing when walking in. Except the IHOP that is 2x the price I would pay for a breakfast. I stayed in the presidential suite with a balcony. It was a joke! The carpet is snagging down the center of the room, the wallpaper is coming up, the tiles were coming off the jacuzzi tub (by the way, the jets do not work), the balcony cement is crumbling off, and there was a cigarette butt that was never picked up. That's just the room! Down the hallways there was food crumbs. Like do the staff work? It was filthy. When we would walk in and out of the hotel the security guards were playing on their phones while sitting on the couch. One of the days the staff members were face timing during working hours. I have never seen such a poorly ran hotel. If I had enjoyed my stay, I would recommend it, but I did not. I paid 2x the price I would ever pay for a Ramada and did not enjoy my stay. They also charged $20 a day for parking. The parking lot was trashed with beer cans, food wrappers, and I shared those images with my friends. What a shame.

It was an incredible experience with my partner! The part I didn’t like at all is that the water bottles in our bed room cost $3.50 each!! me and my partner took a sip and honestly the most disgusting water I ever drank! If they see you take the water from room service cleaning your room they left for you for the stay they will take it out of your Deposit! Also not letting you know when you check in that you will be charged if you drink the water in the rooms you get!

Nice location, walking distance to everything. Rooms are a bit dated but very clean, stayed for one night. The man on reception would not take our card and we were made to pay a $300 cash deposit. Next morning we spoke to a friendly member of staff who processed our deposit refund however it had to be put through on our card rather than the hard cash we handed over only 12 hours prior. I’m writing this review about 14 hours after we checked out and we are yet to receive the deposit back

The room we stayed at was clean and staff was amazing, helpful at every corner. My only issue with this hotel is that they claim to be a 4 star hotel. This is by no means a 4 star hotel, it is very dated and the furniture is probably from the 1990s. The lighting in the washroom was extremely dim which made getting ready and putting makeup on difficult. On top of that, the pillows aren’t standard size. They are the size of throw pillows. None of these issues are the service staff’s fault and they do a good job with what they’re working with but if you care about your living conditions, there are 3 star hotels that are nicer than this. I would go as far as classifying this as a 2 star hotel.

Highly recommended this hotel. The customer service is exceptional and the view from the rooms is adorable. Very near to Niagara falls so less of a walking to the main falls. If you want to explore the city, a bit of a ball, ~25m. There are some good restaurants near by so very convenient location and the hotel has a very good connectivity to the highway thus no traffic while coming/moving out of the premises. Would go in there again and recommend it to others.

The doors and railings looked very dirty. 1 elevator wasn't working, no signs to say so. Hotel workers were all sitting on couches and chairs all around and wouldn't help anyone. We got in the one elevator that didn't work, when the doors opened I realized we were still in the lobby, I told the worker sitting on a chair watching that it didn't work and maybe she'd like to put up a sign. She said I know it doesn't work! So she let us get in and probably others as well & didn't even tell us. Even when I poked my head out to see if we were in the lobby. Because I gave it two tries just in case the button didn't work. Not enough toilet paper, no fridge in the room and no ice bucket. Had to ask a few times for the bucket, even when I went to the front desk in person. Most of all just a dirty feel.

I booked the room on line and was told that the total cost for the one night stay would be approximately 75 dollars. When I arrived I was told it was paid parking another 20 plus taxes. They then added a few other fees, like a facility fee even though their gym was not available. All said and done the stay cost 104 dollars. I stay in the area weekly but this hotel will not be on the list just because of the hidden costs. The room was fine, clean, but the heater was so loud I had to shut it off for the night.

If you're looking into spending a few days at Niagara this place is perfect for your budget. For a night or two of stays you really can't complain. It's relatively close to the falls, 16 minutes of walk one way, if you want to drive it's 5 minutes. Room is clean, bed is clean, sheets, pillow covers and blankets are okay, they don't smell at least so it's a win. Washroom is clean, sink and everything are spotless. Front desk is very friendly, parking is $20 per day, it's not big so come early to find a spot. Room comes with a TV, with very few channels, you can watch movies but it's a pay to watch it can be billed directly to your room. Room has a coffee maker but seems like it hasn't been used for a while, no fridge or water heater. AC blows super cold air so wrap up.Lobby has coffee vending machine or Tim's is 3 minutes away by car, the indoor pool seems nice. Overall this a good place to stay in. They think about accommodating people very well. Highly recommend this place, will come back again for sure

A few months ago I bought a getaway package with Ramada Inn as a birthday gift for my partner. Just prior to attending I received a voice-mail to call Ramada Inn. After many long waits and calls I was told we had been move to a different hotel. Having no choice we went. We were to be given a welcoming package, wine chocolates. The hotel we were sent too knew nothing about it. I had to call Ramada Inn and hours later I had to go claim it at the front desk. Inside were three chocolates for two people. I was going to call Ramada to let them know they forgot to include a knife to cut the third chocolate but didn't want to spend another hour to arrange for that.... Thanks Ramada!

The hotel is comfortable, the rooms are pretty, and the view is good. The pool is nice but doesn't look or smells clean. The room service is good when they do it. I spend 7 days till they provide new bed clothes and fresh towels (I asked for that). The price for a 500 ml bottle of water is 3.5 cad, and the hotel fee per night is around 6 dollars. Most of the staff is nice, but the manager (I think she is the manager) is not nice at all. It's understandable because she is dealing with a lot of people. My biggest complaint is that my card key stops working almost every day, which makes me go all the way down to the lobby to re-activate it. That bothered me a lot. In general, the experience was ok.

  • 1/5 Andrew M. 6 months ago on Google
The hotel is very dated but it was fairly clean and in a fantastic location. For the price per night you're getting good value for your money. My main issue here is being charged $3.50 per bottle for two bottles of water I didn't drink. I have called and emailed to ask for a refund for this and have not received anything yet. Beware of this shady business practice.

The hotel was in a convenient location within walking distance of Fallsview Casino and restaurants. Parking was $20. The room was spacious and comfortable but didn't have a mini fridge. The hotel is dated and needs renovations. Be aware that if you spend 1 night you will be charged a facility fee plus HST, daily mandatory charge on facility fee, room daily mandatory charge, municipal accommodation tax plus HST and daily mandatory charge totalling almost additional $12 to the final cost! The fees should be disclosed during check in. You should ask for a printed copy upon check out.

We got two rooms for two nights. I will say this place is great if you are looking for a decent hotel without breaking the bank The location was pretty good. 12 minutes to walk to Clifton Hills. Or a 5 minute car ride. The staff was very friendly. I gave it four stars because the pool was really small and even though the rooms were clean they are a little dated. Overall I would still recommend this hotel.

It is dated but clean. No cleanliness issues for us. We got the King bed for 2 adults. View was facing parking lot so not romantic or pretty, very plain and boring. Bed, floor and bathroom was very nice, clean and no complaints. I like there is daily housekeeping. There are hidden fees and taxes (daily fees, taxes on that, charge to credit card, parking is $20 plus tax every night) but they provide blow dryer, towels fresh every day, shampoo, lotions, etc... Water bottles not free but ice machine is. Offer $20 IHOP coupon which was appreciated and used but IHOP for 2 adult breakfasts very pricey came to $70 even with coupon for us 2 for simple eggs/toast and tax included. I've compared other hotel prices, for something not a motel the price is decent but everything in Niagara is ridiculously pricey and parking is never free. Plus location is 10 min walking distance to tourism strip so no need to drive and pay for more parking very nice. No smell but yes, water takes veryyyy long to get hot I almost called staff for complaints. Takes 10+ mins to finally get hot but wifi is mediocre (speed and consistency). So I give this 4/5.

I was there for 3 days. First there wasn’t a microwave nor refrigerator in the room the king size mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable, the sheets needed to replaced because they were old and dingy and barely fit the bed, there was 2-16 oz bottles of water in the room and if you drink them you would be charged you $3.50 a piece, the couch in the room was torn. I didn’t get any room service as far as cleaning until the evening before I was to leave. I even went to the front desk early in the am to inquire to have my room cleaned. I also asked the front desk for a complimentary toothbrush, they claimed they were out. I really don't think they provide any for the guests. I had to go after the maids to change my towels. Next time I will go elsewhere, no way that this hotel is rated 3-4 stars. Also, the ice machine on the floor I was on was broken and had to travel a few floors down to get ice. It was a very bad stay for my birthday.

This hotel was average with cleanliness as the lobby and rooms need good maintenance. Similar the lobby and services required attention. Most of the game machines were not working. Staff were friendly, but room services very extremely poor as our bathroom were not provided with fresh towel or items as we stayed 2 nights. Location was good with free parking and free ice machines on different floors

It feels dated and dingy. I went with the family for Labor Day long weekend, so prices were inflated ($250/night) thus it didn't feel like it was worth it. They also only had 1 working main elevator but thankfully their service elevator was right around the corner, but be sure to only use this for floors above the basement. B will take you to what looks like storage. Rooms were dark and a little dirty... it looked like they recently installed something without cleaning up the wood grinds and dust as it wasall over the dresser. Beds were fine, but man do you sink into them and they feel uneven. There was also a strong distinct smell of cover up to mask the smell of cigarettes. The pool is small, located in the basement, and oddly enough you still need to take a flight of stairs up to get access to it (so not an accessible pool). And j fortunately they didn't keep towels in stock so we had to use our room towels. Good; easy access parking, and a relatively close walking distance to the falls.

I stayed at Ramada Niagara Falls about 10 days ago. I was looking for a hotel which is close to the falls. I got a room on the 5th floor. The room was fine and I generally liked the place but I definitely do not recommend it to anyone else the reason is: _ the rooms do not have a refrigerator, if you want it, need to pay an extra $10 _ the pool was very busy and the ceiling was leaking water with a very strong smell of chlorine. I could not stand it for a minute. _there is no free breakfast. I received a voucher for a breakfast discount and using that, I ended up paying about $70 for 2 adults. _ the room was $139.92 for one night _I paid a $4.99 facility fee that I am not sure what it was _ I paid a "daily mandatory charge on FF" that I am not sure what that is _ I paid one ROOM HST ($18.19) and one HST on FACILITY FEE! _ I paid a "room daily mandatory charge", $6.30 _ I paid $2 for municipal accommodation tax and MAT HST _ I paid $20 for parking for a night When I was looking for a room for one night, I thought I will be paying $140 plus tax but I ended up paying $172 + $20 parking fee+ $70 breakfast = $262!!!! So if you find a hotel with free parking and breakfast included for about $250 per night, it is definitely worth it! It is better than paying modular.

The hotel charged us 265 dollars for a night, then asked 30 dollars for parking, funny thing is that even though they charged for parking they aren't responsible of any lost or damaged, we payed and park there in front of the camera, next day surprise!!! Someone broke into our car and stole my IPad and my cooler with drinks and snacks for my kids, I asked them for help and the lady at the front desk just told us to call the police and fill a report and after that they can show the video to the police, they didn't offer any help at all, the ice machines in different rooms didn't work, they don't have refrigerator microwave and coffee maker in their rooms, the lady at the front desk told us that it was common that things like that happen in the area, so be aware of this place, if you need to park, next to the hotel is a public parking for 10 dollars, 20 dollars left than what the hotel charged and they also aren't responsible for any lost or damage, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, protect your family and your belongings.

It was an okay experience. However, no fridge, narrow tub, uncomfortable matress/pillow and extra cost for parking. $15+ tax. It is in decent location so the fall is within walking distance. For the purpose of finding a place to sleep near falls, this fits the bill but in the future, I plan to find a better place

I had booked a hotel room for a tournament that my Daughter was supposed to be in but unfortunately she contact the Corona Virus. I asked the Hotel for reimbursement but they refused. I then asked for a voucher for another stay and was also told no. You would think the Hotel would understand and even take a booking fee and then send a voucher. I travel all the time and I WILL NEVER STAY IN A RAMADA AGAIN or send any of my Employees there.

The room was mediocre. To start the panel for the bath/jacuzzi pipes wasn't even on properly and wouldn't stay on and the faucet and temperature knob were loose the faucet practically came out of the wall. We noticed a lipstick stain on one of the plastic coffee cups after taking it out of the wrapper after already drinking out of it my girlfriend never wears lipstick and I'm pretty sure i wasn't wearing lipstick after bringing it up to the front desk the worker said sorry i can throw that out for you real helpful. The pool was closed by 9 and we were charged “facilities fees” upon check out but we didn't even get to dip our toes into the pool I'm sure the pool would have been freezing or scolding hot just like the bath temperature and $3.50 for the water in the room ridiculous. I was in the elevator and i looked up and the door was still open they need to hire a new elevator mechanic I'm looking for but would never recommend anyone to work here

Great hospitality. Clean rooms and the staff were very polite, professional, courteous. Will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

I want to give this at least 3 stars but because of my experience, I can only give it 2 stars. If you're looking for something cheap and only need to sleep, this will do. Staff were nice and pleasant but everything else was disappointing. The good (not much was good): Price, staff, bed was comfy and room was clean. The bad and the ugly: No hot water in the shower, there was a power outage when I stayed so 1. They could not refund me my deposit I made by debit card. I had to come back later to get refunded. 2. The elevators didn't work during the power outage. So I had to take the stairs in order to check-out. Lights were flickering (maybe due to the power outage), no fridge, and the hotel is fairly outdated.

This hotel is a little random, the hallways were very worn, my room and service was fine for the location and price. My friends staying on other floors had dirty rooms, movie charges they did not make with no way to follow up, and mixed qualities of customer service. I would most likely not stay here again. If you read this review and decided to still book it, in my hotel room the hot and cold water was labeled incorrectly and I didn't figure it out until my second shower. There are no fridges, water in the room cost $3.50 per bottle, and checkin was at 4:00 p.m. which feels a bit late, but I could understand if it's covid-related cleaning. I think I had somewhere around a 2.5 star experience. My friends had a one-star experience.

We love this hotel. Clean, comfortable, well kept, great location. It has become our go-to place in the falls. Thank you for everything. We will definitely be back again.
