Our
stay
started
with
an
insanely
long
and
slow
check-in
line.
After
waiting
for
nearly
an
hour
with
two
children
in
tow,
the
only
explanation
we
were
given
about
the
hotel
was
that
the
hotel
parking
costs
45$
a
DAY,
a
cost
which
was
not
advertised
on
the
booking
website.
The
staff
was
careful
not
to
tell
us
that
there
are
cheaper
options
for
10-20$
a
day
in
nearby
parking
lots;
fortunately
for
us,
we
declined
the
parking
and
found
these
options.
The
room
and
bedding
was
average;
the
only
amazing
part
was
the
view
on
the
Horseshoe
Falls
(for
which
we
paid
a
substantial
additional
cost),
which
came
as
advertised.
We
were
there
for
a
quick
2-day
stay.
After
a
very
tiring
first
day,
we
arrived
late
at
night
to
find
our
room
had
not
been
cleaned.
We
then
called
the
front
desk
who
informed
us
that
the
room
service
was
only
ONCE
EVERY
THREE
DAYS
(again,
an
information
that
would
have
been
relevant
to
have
at
check-in).
They
did
offer
to
send
us
clean
towels,
which
we
absolutely
needed,
and
they
did
send
them
up
relatively
promptly.
While
a
3-day
space
in
room
service
once
made
sense
in
2020-21
for
public
health
reasons,
there
are
no
justifications
for
this
now.
And
the
hotel
is
certainly
not
short-staffed
given
that
they
can
hire
two
full-time
employees
to
watch
over
their
tiny
guest
parking
to
ensure
that
only
those
forking
out
$45
a
day
park
there.
So
in
essence,
the
owners
are
cutting
their
labor
costs
and
trying
to
rip
the
guests
off
by
charging
them
an
outrageous
fee
for
parking
in
the
hotel
parking
lot.
The
fact
that
this
hotel
is
located
in
a
tourist
trap
does
not
justify
this
philosophy.
Incidentally,
this
is
also
damaging
to
the
Radisson
brand.
