I read a bunch of reviews and they’re all mixed so let me summarize for you. Stop expecting luxury when paying for value motels. The Econo Lodge is a great value motel if you’re looking to stay one or two nights. This is a motel that provides the basics. Two queen beds a bathroom and shower and heating or air conditioning. Check in is at three and check out is at eleven. Staff was quick and friendly. You are extremely close to Clifton hill. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. Expect what you pay for. Great time thank you.

We stayed for 1 night only because of how rude the young lady at the desk was. We just wanted to see the rooms before making a booking because we got scammed by another place that same day, That lady was training someone and that trainee had the sense of customer service better than her trainer!! Mini was acting like she was doing us a favor by giving us a room, I dont know what the problem was. The rooms had no wall outlets to charge your personal devices, the heater was just for namesake. Sticky floors made my skin crawl. Only giving 1 star because less is not possible. I’ll not be returning to this place.

Stayed here for 1 night (King bed) No complaints, the customer service was great the rooms were quite big & very clean and welcoming. Glad to find a Bible in every room! (The first Bible to find its home in a hotel room was in 1899 & was intended to bring peace and solace to weary traveling salesmen) Good to see old traditions going strong. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Right at the heart of Clifton Hill and a step out onto the strip, very convenient 👍🏻👍🏻

Room was dated and stunk if the fan wasn't on, everything felt dirty. We paid way to much to stay here unfortunately. Walls are paper thin so you could hear what was going on in the next room. Shower was full of mold and the vanity was falling apart, literally. Our door to our room, the lock was broken so we were locked in for 5+ minutes every time we tried to leave, serious safety hazard. We paid for parking and then got back and there was zero parking for us and they refused to refund our money. Our mom and senior nana who have a disability pass had to park across the street and walk across the street to walk up 3 flights of stairs because they had sold our spots. (They offer paid parking to the public for $10-20 and the spots disappear) considering we paid more that that each day to park there, they should have their public parking across the street not in their main small lot. The only decent thing is how close you are to the falls, you walk for 30 seconds and you're on Clifton hill. Would not recommend, and this should be considered a motel not a hotel.

If you are looking for a spot close to Clifton Hill, then this a good location but it comes with many issues. 1. This weekend in particular the $250 security deposit was more than the room itself. The rooms are not the nicest and doesn’t come with a fridge or microwave. 2. We were given a room with a balcony, there is a strip of lights along that wall, 2/3 lights were burnt out. When this was brought up with front desk, we were told it was a “maintenance issue” and they’ve been like that for quite some time now and it’s not the problem of front desk. 3. There is only 4 lights to aluminate the main room, a random sink when you first walk in, 2 lamps and the lights at the back balcony doors. If you don’t flick the switch closes to the door, the lamp at the bedside table does not work. 4. Shower curtain is not fully plastic, kinda like that plastic fabric material. Along the bottom of it has the starting of mold. Another issue is the bathtub did not look like it was cleaned properly, the anti-slip strips on the bottom of the tub were black and not the greatest looking. 5. The air control in the room is basic but takes a bit to kick on and is a bit outdated. 6. Housekeeping starts their shift at 7 am. Meaning at 7am slamming doors and vacuums are going. They have no care in the world about this. So if you have a late night, expect an unwanted wake up call. 7. If you don’t close the door properly with an extra push they do not automatically close, they stay slightly open. Not a safe feeling for 3 young women on a night out for a girls trip. 8. Pool is nice and refreshing. It is not monitored though ( which most hotel pools are not). It’s not heated but it’s 10 feet deep so easy for a nice jump in. But there is broken pieces of red rocks that fall into the pool. 9. The one building is not wheelchair accessible. There is no elevators or handicap push buttons. Some positive out of this negative review is: 1. They let us check in 45 minutes before check in. 2. If you wanted parking for the next day after checkout it’s $10 till 4pm. Just have to ask. When it’s $25-$30 on the strip itself. Overall, not a good experience for someone that travels frequently to Niagara Falls. A lot of attitude and unhelpful front desk staff.

Please beware when staying here. We attempted to stay here in September 2022. When we got there we tore the bed apart and everything was clean. About an hour later we discovered a bed bug crawling on the wall. I assume they are in the carpet or the upholstered chairs, but they are there and for a while as the bug was a full grown adult. The place was very clean other wise and the staff that night was awesome. She was working the whole place herself and they were basically at full capacity. She stayed professional, friendly and understanding during this ordeal and quickly processed our refund and apologized for the experience. Hopefully the issue has been taken care of since our visit, however we recommend to double and triple check everything in your room.

For the price, it's a great deal. Fairly close to the Falls and Clifton Hills. Once you get into the room however, it's severely out-dated aka the comforters, and blinds. There is no fridge, so if you have a kid/toddler/baby who needs milk, you're screwed. Not many selections for the television as well if you have kids as well. Lastly, the 250$ for the refundable deposit is a little nuts. This isn't Trump towers, it's the out-dated Econo Lodge. You have some hotels literally charging less for some deposits or nothing at all. That's 250$ for a family to use that day to go towards doing things at the Falls, as it is a tourist attraction, right? I would not recommend this place and will not be returning to this location. I'm being rather nice even giving them a 1 star.

Stayed 4 days/3 nights (October 2023) in this nice hotel. Staff were great, room was clean even it's dated. Clifton Hill was just across the hotel. Was able to walk everywhere. Pool was warm enough and we felt like we're in a private pool as we were the only one using it. For a lower priced hotel.(payed $80/ night )this place was great. Before booking make sure to double check the room and amenities because they don't have fridge and microwave. So if you have little ones, you're screwed.. We stayed here with our little one and we didn't have any problems to keep her milk fresh.. just be prepared. Ice bags available at the office for FREE. We always have a problem with the card keys..it took more than 5 swipes to open the front entrance but not a big deal. I still give them 5 stars. Highly recommended and we'll come back again..

Above what you expect for a two star economy hotel in a major tourist destination. Although it is an economy hotel you will pay a higher price in high tourist season and around major holidays, but that is to be expected. Free parking is a huge bonus, as I have yet to see any hotel in NF that doesn't charge for parking (and charge a high price). One thing that kind of annoyed us was being charged ten dollars for an extra person. because we had three per room. Other than that we had an enjoyable stay. The Good Stuff - *Location - So close to everything. * The room - Clean and comfortable with a nice patio. * The staff - friendly and helpful. * The price - High for an economy hotel, but still the best price in town. * Free parking. ( Won't find it at almost any other hotel in Niagara.) The bad - * Extra charge for third person in room.

Staff were excellent, location was great, overall a nice experience. Rooms, although a little out dated, very comfortable and quiet. Could use a small fridge and microwave but still good. We could not hear anything going on outside the room. I recommend staying here.

Best bang for the buck. clean, everything works, fairly quiet. good service. I had a medical emergency and everyone was very caring and compassionate yet also gave my my space.

The staff were incredibly nice during my stay, the main issue is this hotel is very out dated.. we had 1 outlet in the entire room, no fridge or microwave. We found a blood stain on our box spring, the pool is very shallow and not worth going to look at. Overall if you are looking for a cheap stay for 1-2 nights and don’t plan on being in the room much, it’s okay aside from the blood stain on the box spring.. no signs of bed bugs.

There was no service. It's a nice location but don't expect much from this hotel. No fridges, no microwaves. Super thin walls you can hear everything going on in the room next door. The staff was kind of rude. The lamps have only one light bulb instead of two. The lights flickering everywhere. The carpets have never been washed (we asked) it dirtied all our clothes.

Rooms are out dated. Service was good, everyone very friendly. When we needed anything (coffee etc) they stocked our supply. Location was excellent!! Walked everywhere, right in the thick of things. Would stay again

Close to attractions at an affordable rate and has indoor pool. Beds arent the best they’re like run down too soft . No fridge either or microwave either especially for the price and you have to go to the office just to get ice you get what you pay for I didn’t realize there was no fridge until I rented it and I was so mad because we had a cooler with food I had to just put it on ice ..but for my kids it’s close because my kids are teenagers they were able to just leave the hotel and literally they were right beside the speedway Mario kart and could walk around and do what they wanted

My freinds stayed at this location was great right on Clifton Hill, but the room had no fridge, barely any channels, no guests allowed?? The shower looked like it wasn't really cleaned as per hotel standards, and they charged extra for additional towels and hand cloths...I've never in my experience of staying at hotels had to pay extra for that. But overall location is literally right next to Clifton Hill le 5 minute walk so if you don't mind all the stuff I complained about might be worth it.

Great hotel for the price. Perfect location on top of Clifton Hill, directly across from the Ferris Wheel. Yes it is dated and smells as such, but the beds are comfortable and you can’t beat the price. Cleaning could use improvement but I’ve seen worse. I will be staying here again.

You can't get a better location it's right across from Clifton Hill attractions. Parking is awesome and it's free. Cold AC in the rooms and cleanliness is good. Very quiet at night you hear nothing in your room. Hallways are very wide which gives it that extra quiet feel from other rooms. I would give it a 5 star if they upgraded the beds and added a small fridge and a microwave in the rooms.

Great value for the prime location. A little concerned with cleanliness as we found a wrapped burger under the AC. The carpets were not that clean. Expected a little more efficiency from the staff as initially there was some confusion regarding our booking. Had spoken to the concerned authorities twice before booking in advance a room with King size bed, as we had 4 yr old daughter with us to be accommodated in the same room and the reception staff advised that they don't allow that. Our daughter needed to use the washroom urgently but we weren't allowed to use as it was accessible for customers only. We had to wait for half an hour before the confusion was sorted and we got the keys

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. No fridge in the room but they do offer bags of ice. So bring a cooler.

The room was to be expected for the price we paid! Very clean! Love the area and how it was close to Clifton Hill!! I wished there was a fridge in the room to keep things cold and also a microwave. The pool was also very cold. Couldn't enjoy it unfortunately.
