Great hotel and worth paying a little extra to stay here. I have stayed at 10-15 different hotels in Niagara Falls and this is my new favorite one. We needed a suite with a separate room so we could stay up while the baby slept. The Fallsview suite had a bed room that was huge and you could have easily put a blow up mattress on the floor if you needed to for extra kids. The room was spotless and the bathroom was great. The only thing I noticed was the wall paper was peeling in some places in the room and likely needs to be redone soon. The hotel itself feels like a resort and the entrance/lobby were beautiful and impressive. Service was good and professional. The pool area is the best part and felt like a 5 star pool. It was honestly nicer then the Ritz Carlton pool in Toronto. The pool was huge and the pool deck was very clean and well laid out. It was spotless and very well taken care of by staff. Lots of towels to use there. The only part that looked a little dated was the change room area, but oh well not a big deal. I also couldn't get the sauna to work, but I'm sure if I tried harder I could have figured it out. I browsed around the 3rd floor and it looks like it would be a great place to have a wedding or large event. I did not try any of the food on the premises but it was nice they have an on site Starbucks if you feel like a nice drink the morning. Parking is $22 plus tax, which is expensive considering other lots beside the property charge $10 during the week. However, you do have peace of mind parking it on the Double Tree lot knowing there is some level of security and protection, considering the other lots will have no other cars in them or staff watching then. I also understand that hotels in Niagara rely on this extra revenue for their facility. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel. It is likely the closest your going to get to a 5 star hotel experience in Niagara (currently there are no 5 star hotels)

Nice hotel with a very welcoming entrance. The rooms could use a bit of an upgrade. High cleanliness, and all the basics are there. Staff arenโ€™t the best, especially at reception - could be better off with Robots. The location is great with loads of parking spots. Itโ€™s within walking distance to all you need and has nice views if your on the top floors. Overall a great experience, but definitely could with a bit of an upgrade, some staff training and some family activities to keep the guests entertained.

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend getaway to Niagara Falls , Canada. To summarize , we were not overjoyed with the stay here. We booked the fall facing room by looking at the pictures on their website. We were expecting a better view. While the views were nice but I was disappointed because the falls were not as close as it appeared to be in pictures. Overall stay experience at the hotel was above average. Good points - great location , nice hot tub, service was good , the staff was very courteous. However what we didnโ€™t like was the rooms were not very clean, the sheets seemed to be dirty and there was dust on desk and nightstand. The washroom tap and tissue box on the counter top were dusty. However when requested the housekeeping was kind enough to change the sheets. We were given a warm welcome at the time of check-in. The check out process was smooth too. 2 reasons for giving a 3 star review: room was little dusty and not so clean sheets.

This property has a nice touch of earthiness and subtleness to itโ€™s look and feel. The view was good enough. Ample parking space but with a cost. Hospitality-wise it lacked that human touch and couldnโ€™t offer much to make our stay comfortable. The room service and provision of amenities was disappointing, however the Buchananโ€™s staff were pretty nice & welcoming. I would consider other options before I book this hotel again.

We had an issue with the water pressure in our room, where no water would even come out of the shower head, a few drops. We didnโ€™t realize this until we were an hour away from checkout so we didnโ€™t ask for someone to come look. We took a video and showed the front desk. I asked her to just waive the parking fee, which I thought was very reasonable. She called maintenance to go get them to look at the room. I told her we needed to leave so she said she would call. She called me, told me it was working fine. Implied that I was lying even though she saw the video. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. Customer service is crucial as a front desk employee and this woman showed no tact.

Our stay at this hotel was truly enchanting. The panoramic views of Niagara Falls from our room were spectacular, and being within walking distance to Skylon Tower was incredibly convenient. The hotel staff was welcoming, and the overall experience met our expectations. A perfect choice for anyone seeking a memorable Niagara getaway!

My husband absolutely loved this hotel! The Starbucks on the ground floor was incredibly convenient, and the room was big and clean. Iโ€™d We had a beautiful view of the fall from our room on the 19th floor. The welcoming cookies were a delightful touch as well. One of the staff members sent me a text to check in on us, and I found it incredibly convenient to communicate this way. Some people might be disappointed by the distance of the falls, as they might be further than expected. It would be helpful for future guests to check the distance on Google Maps to get a better idea beforehand. Additionally, there is a $22 parking fee. The only inconvenience I encountered was with the shower door. Ideally, it should open closer to the shower handle, allowing you to turn it on and wait a little for warm water. In this case, the sliding door was positioned further away from the handle, causing me to get cold water when initially turning it on. No shower gel or to go cups provided, only a bar of soap for the body. While this didn't bother me too much, it would have been nice to have those additional amenities available. Overall it was a nice stay!

Let's start with the pros, the location was good, it was a short walk to most of the main attractions. The hotel itself was in good condition and the rooms were very nice, with a nice view. The staff was helpful and courteous during my entire visit. The only reason I did not give the property a 5 star rating was we were charged $22 a night for parking that wasn't available. Understandably they were doing sealing and painting of their property, but I feel the parking fee should have been reduced or refunded due to the inconvenience.

We had a great stay at the Double Tree Fallsview Resort. Niagara Falls wasnโ€™t as busy as it typically is but there was enough people around here and there. We received an upgrade room with view and the rooms were clean and organized. There is an Independent Starbucks in the lobby and bar/restaurant. There is a pool and other amenities. Plenty of parking and felt safe overall. The employees were great and positive. Everything was in good order and easy to get too. We asked for a taxi to get to a restaurant we booked to try and then walked back after an evening stroll to catch the street entertainment. Overall we had a great stay at the Double Tree and would come back again.

I am happy with our experience at Double Tree. We had a corner room and it was clean and spacious. The pool area felt luxurious and had a hot tub, an area for general swimmers and one for those who would like to do laps without being disturbed. The reception gave us yummy cookies at check-in and were very helpful. We had a request we had to email the manager about and was helped immediately. The only con was at check out, we had to wait about 20 minutes just to go down the elevator since it was always packed. Tough when you got a stroller and has no choice but to use elevators. Other than that, we would want to stay there if we're in the area again!

First time at this Resort, was an amazing and spacious stay๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป Was super content with the bed, was very clean and tidy, smelt just like being at home. Staff at the front desk was very courteous and friendly. Could not enjoy their breakfast as we had to leave by 6:30am. Will definitely be returning back to this location soon !๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you team for making our stay super cosy and comfortable.

The hotel has a nice vibe with the stone interior in the lobby, has a cabin feel. Staff was friendly. The room view faced mostly other buildings, more like a โ€œcity viewโ€ but we could see the river/Falls in the distance. Fireworks were visible from our room. The hotel is walking distance to Clifton Hill and the Falls so the location was good. The price was reasonable in comparison to other hotels. Everything in Niagara Falls is expensive so the location fee and parking charge isnโ€™t a surprise. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a coffee shop in the lobby which was very handy. We had breakfast in the restaurant, it was very good and very reasonable pricing.

We were very dissatisfied with our stay at the Double Tree. The rooms had very basic amenities and were dimly lit, the the bedsheets were harsh and stiff, and the comforter itself was not tucked into the cover, which meant we had the thin comforter in our faces all night. The room was extremely dated for a $200 per night charge. The room service hours were also limited, making it difficult for us to order good food at night. Finally, the front desk (Gill) seemed to not care when we told her it was our anniversary and if there's anything special that she could do. Her response was "you're already on the highest floor" and wouldn't even waive the parking. If you're going to charge Marriott or Embassy Suites prices, you need to match their level of service and care.

The hotel location is good, close to the Niagara City center (10 min walk) and not too far from the Falls (15-20 min walk). It has a great lobby and bright hallways. Room was clean and bright but small. The employees were polite and formal (less casual and friendly). Their mattresses were not comfortable. The swimming pool was good as well. The room service was good not great. For example, I asked for 4 tea bags and they sent 4 coffee in. I asked again for 4 tea bags and the second times they sent 2 tea bags and 2 coffees. Another time, I asked for shampoo and they sent in shampoo and coffee :-). The parking fee was too high compare to the neighborhood parking fees. The movie rent on the TV was expensive as well. The reason for giving them 3 stars is because of the value for money. With the price we paid for 3 nights in this hotel, we could have very better services and room in better location. I usually travel once a year to Niagara and try different hotels there. So, even though we had a great stay in this hotel, but I believe their services value was lower than their prices compare to their competitors.

Overall a nice place. Room size was adequate, hotel staff were friendly and the view was nice. There was a portion of the bathtub that was badly rusted and should be replaced. The curtain didn't actually cover the whole window and the room lighting was very poor (800 lumen GE led bulbs at 2800 kelvin). I would definitely recommend something around 4000+ I'm not a fan of hidden fees. Parking, tourism fees (etc) increased the price of the room by 40%.

What amazing staff at every touch point. I met Ahmet to discuss a possible wedding venue and he is amazing. So friendly and knowledgeable. After so many visits this is our venue of choice. No matter who we met they had a smile and greeting.

Our three night stay was an unforgettable experience recently. American falls view from the Hotel room window was breathtaking. We have enjoyed fireworks and Drone show from the room window only which was amazing. Service and housekeeping both incredible. One of my card key was lost by me but it was re-issued without any fuss.. Will surely go again soon. Distance from the falls is the only issue. But thatโ€™s not a BIG DEAL !

Spotlessly clean Suite. Extremely neat and tidy. Guest room hallways and Business Centre also immaculate. Compliments to Housekeeping staff and Management for operating a superb property.

This hotel was great! The rooms were spacious and clean. The view from the room was stunning. The location is great as well - just a few minutes from everything! The staff was very kind, they gave us cookies which my 7 year old nephew loved! Overall, great location, great rooms, and great staff!

What an amazing weekend! Thank you DoubleTree Fallsview for great service and hospitality. Shout out to group sales coordinator Nikki and duty manager Alexandra for ensuring our team was taken care of. The rooms were clean and if we needed anything they were only a phone call away and towels arrived promptly. We booked the hospitality room and it was perfect for our little team gathering. Highly recommend and will look forward to future stays! PS Donโ€™t forget your fresh baked cookie at check in! Yummy!

Our family of 4 has enjoyed coming here once or twice a year for more than 10 years. Pros: - My kids love the pool, although we wish it were a bit warmer. - The cabin/lodge atmosphere is very cozy. The lobby is beautiful. - good experiences with the staff - rooms are comfy, but could be cleaner. Especially under the beds. Cons: - rooms at starting to show their age. The HVAC filters in the rooms look ancient. These should be charged monthly. Some fridges are noisy. - there are often big groups booked here, like sports teams. Sometimes this means that kids are running or playing games in the hallways at night. The worst was when a hockey team was using our door as the "goal"

Check in staff were very efficient and polite. The hotel is great. Decorated nicely for Christmas in the lobby. Lifts were very speedy. Rooms were a good size. Loved the bedding and the pillows. Very quiet, you couldn't hear anything when in the room from other guests outside. Had an 11th floor room overlooking the river and got a great view of the weekend fireworks. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Rooms are immaculate. Love the carpet in the main suite and the tile in the bathroom - very luxurious. The restaurant was clean, easy to access, quick, and the food was good. It was expensive but considering the prices around the area it was as expected. Loved the Starbucks coffee bar and fresh cookies too.

Computers were down during check in. Line to check in was 45+ min and then they just passed you to another line to wait for housekeeping to come down with info about what rooms were ready. Oof, 2 hours of check in is a painful way to start a vacation. I will give them credit however, there is an amazing view of the nightly fireworks from the upper rooms.

Room and rate were very good. We enjoyed being on the top floor and seeing the falls. The lady at the desk didnโ€™t have many food recommendations off the top of her head, and we could hear some hallway noise from within our room. All said and done, a good stay.

This is by far the nicest hotel in Niagara Falls we have ever stayed at! We just got back from a 3 night stay there and the hotel is so unbelievably clean and nice we can't wait to go back. We were welcomed with delicious welcome cookies and then proceeded to head up to our room on the 14th floor. We had a view of the water and our room smelt so good upon our first steps into it. The beds were ridiculously comfortable and the shower was the highlight of the bathroom. The bathroom itself was very small, but still not worthy of a bad review since everything in it seems clean and updated. The pool area was very nice and we made good use out of the water refill station that was nearby. The elevators are crazy because out of the 3 nights we stayed there, we never had to wait more than 20 seconds for an elevator to open its doors for us to bring us to another floor. The restaurant in the hotel seems like a hidden gem on the 2nd floor. The Buchanan restaurant was so affordable and delicious, we never understood why it was never busy in there...10/10 for their food and service. Outside is well landscaped and even has a cool sun dial on the side of the property. Was about a 5 minute walk to the casino, and about a 20-25 minute walk to the Canadian falls. Me and my wife are looking forward to staying at this property again in the near future!

Beautiful, clean hotel. Extra charges (mandatory parking and tourist tax) and no cookie because of โ€œCOVIDโ€ lowered my rating. Tell me the total price up front and Iโ€™d respect the honesty.

Great experience. Third time staying at this hotel...we love the cozy feel of the hotel, the location is great, and the staff are super responsive and friendly. The pool area is great too. Highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here during a recent visit to see the falls. The location was very good, within walking distance of the falls, though note that getting to the falls involves a lot of steps down (and obviously back up later). We had a room facing the falls on the 18th floor (the top floor is 19) so our view was pretty good. You really can't see the Canadian falls from the room, and the American falls are easy to see but the lower portion is obscured. Service was excellent, the staff was friendly, room was clean, and the decor in the lobby was rustic and felt like a modern take on an old wilderness lodge. The room was comfortable, bathroom was spacious with a nice tub and a shower stall. The restaurant was average (we only had breakfast one day), the lobby bar & coffee shop was convenient. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, not more than a 10 to 15 minute walk.

DoubleTree Fallsview by Hilton is my new go-to hotel in Niagara. The room we had was very clean and spacious, the beds were by far the most comfortable out of any hotel I've stayed. The lobby and pool are very nice and cozy. The location is a bit far from the Casino but it is quite close to Clifton Hill, but they make up for it in impressive rooms.

  • 5/5 Steve Van D. 9 months ago on Google
Our family enjoyed the stay here, and spent a lot of time in the pool. The falls are about a 15 minute walk from the hotel, and most of the other attractions of the area are walkable from this hotel too. Fireworks were very visible from our room. All the accommodations were very nice, functional, and we had no maintenance issues in the room. Parking is expensive anywhere in Niagara - so be prepared. The only thing that soured our stay was a very drunk guest that was wandering the hotel, and was generally making inappropriate conversation with my children. The staff were aware of the guest, but did not appear to do anything. He was at the front desk when checking in and stumbled out to his car and drove away. He later came into the pool area, and we left soon thereafter being uncomfortable, and the next day he was riding elevators and wandering. Niagara has become too expensive for the average tourist, and that's really a shame. I'd stay at this property in a heartbeat again, but the entire area is just causing tourists to bleed out their wallets

Unpleasant experience staying at this location. DoubleTree hotels have always been a reliable place to book. The staff at the front desk appeared to be untrained and acted annoyed with every customer who approached them. I asked about where a local convenience store could be found so I could replace a lost phone charger. The front desk employee left and had a conference for almost 8 minutes with someone else before telling me to try the hotel by the casino. I walked outside and found a convenience store immediately adjacent to the DoubleTree. We asked for firmer pillows which caused great confusion with the front desk. After another conference with their management they said they would send someone up with firmer pillows. Someone did arrive but he said he couldn't understand what the front desk was telling him to do. We asked for firmer pillows and he brought us two new pillows exactly like what we already had. On the third day we requested house keeping and the front desk agreed but we would need to detail out what exactly we wanted clean. The rude and indifferent attitude of the staff was inexcusable.

We have stayed in Niagara Falls (US and Canada sides) so many times and this hotel is the best by far. Main attractions are within walking distances, the view to the falls are exceptional. Front desk and every single worker make you feel welcome and comfortable. The gym and pool super clean and well stocked with towels. We definitely recommend this hotel if you are thinking to go with family.

Firstly, this hotel is a very nice hotel. I did not use the spa or pool so I'm not sure about those but the rooms are beautiful and spacious and the interior design is gorgeous. Definitely a beautiful hotel. The biggest flaw to the hotel is that everyone working the counter or even the person who I think is the concierge is absolutely miserable and definitely seems like they're not happy. So I guess the issue would be the Hilton company. I really think those staff are underpaid and overworked just by their overall demeanor when helping guests is flustered and unhappy even on the first meeting. Hilton needs to do better and provide for their employees so they feel refreshed, excited and happy to work! I know it's not the staff themselves because it wasn't one or even two staff upset. It was at least 5 individual staff at different times and days who clearly need a break and better support.

  • 3/5 Brandon 2 years ago on Google
The hotel was a great choice, close enough to all the amenities downtown but far enough away to be quiet. Although there was a very disruptive group of children running up and down the halls until very late I would definitely come back. The hotel is beautifully furnished and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Not a bad view at a decent price. Walking distance from the falls, tourist area and both casinos. Only one complaint is I stayed there for several weeks prior. Asked for a upgrade room and all they did was give me the same room on a higher floor. Checked the website out and saw there were much nicer rooms available. Still a good stay !
