We had high expectations based on reviews and rating but unfortunately this restaurant doesn’t deserve 4.5 stars for following reasons: 1- They don’t have printed menu for food and you can only see the menu in french on chalkboard 2- They don’t have drink menu in any language 3- Service is terribly slow 4- We just ordered 2 main dishes(sea bass and beef) and both were tasteless. In addition beef was too raw … 5- There were no salt and paper on the table 6- Bread basket that came with food was not fresh I personally think that this restaurant got 4.5 stars since you can have 3 course fixed menu for 27.5 €.

Simply amazing food. It was great to try some Niçois specialties. The dessert (peach) was the best one I had this summer (I’ve sampled multiple peach desserts throughout the country). :)

Mix of local and tourist people when we ate here. It is a fairly small venue in spring, before they can use their outside tables, so book would be our suggestion. Food is on chalkboard in French, but staff have great English, and the menu is also in English on the website. It is freshly cooked, so be prepared to wait a few moments for the table before you to have theirs cooked first. This is NOT slow service, it is simply how freshly cooked food works. You can see chef from the tables, and he will be out frequently to see how the food is going down. We had the 3 course option (black pudding pictured), but of course, you don't have to do that. Vegetables are included, even though not stated on the menu, so no worries about that. Very much enjoyed joyed our evening and would recommend

I absolutely loved this little restaurant on a small road. Extremely close to Nice-Ville Station. This unassuming restaurant is just a great place for a reasonably priced and tasty meal. They have the menu of the day where there was 4 choices to choose for starters, main and dessert. The service was great and they patiently explained the menu in English as my French wasn't up to scratch. Highly recommended and will visit again when I am back in Nice.

We hadn’t booked but the staff were accommodating and gave us a table promptly - the food was delicious and not too expensive for a three-course meal! Would recommend a visit to experience some French cuisine at an affordable price. The fillet of Beef and Hake were two great Main options!

Great food and lovely atmosphere. Would recommend to book in advance as walk ins were being turned away.

Everything was delicious, the service was excellent. They took us in after a handful of restaurants denied us because we didn’t have a reservation and we’re so lucky we got to go here instead. 10/10!

It was hard not to revisit this again for a second time and try somewhere else! The set menu was delicious with plenty of choices to pick from and the food was fresh and large portions. I would absolutely go back. It filled up quickly when I arrived at open and the terrace was shortly filled afterwards. I would recommend booking as a lot of tables were already reserved. The service was fantastic.

This place is one of the best of what I have eaten in France. We ordered meat stew with polenta, honey duck breast with roasted potatoes and crème brûlée that was to die slowly. All the dishes were really good, tasty and not so expensive as you will think of. A glass of wine was €2.5, you always can ask for water and is free. The check total was €45.

Restaurant very close to railway station . Because of the good reviews we have decided to eat there. There is very short menu which is good but the meals were really not good for the price. All four meals were really very small, seabass was burnt and beef was about 6cm with one carrot and few something like frites . We have tried many restaurants in Nice but this one is really the worst one. Do not recommend .

If you plan to sit outside better to have a reservation. Otherwise you sit inside. Fortunately we didn't mind this option and enjoyed our Gnocchi and Salade Niçoise (served with bread). They were both very delicious. under starters but were filling us. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Waiters are racist. One of them said we have to sit inside because it’s the only table that have left, and he asked the westerners who came in later if they would like to sit outside or inside. When we went outside after having dinner, there were only westerners on the terrace. This has nothing to do with reservations. I saw no sign on the table, and no customers came inside until we left except for 2 asian women. The food was okay, but I don't think it's a restaurant worth visiting.

Charming place with typical Nicoise food. We had the ‘Lapin a la Provencale’ i.e. Rabbit Provencale style and the Nicoise salad. Both were great dishes. This was the first time I had the Nicoise salad in Nice, and realised all the versions I’ve had earlier were not authentic. Oh, the charm of having a dish in the place it originates! We got the house red and white wines to go with our meal. Overall, a good affordable meal! :)

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident and it was undoubtedly our best meal in Nice. 100% authentic, excellent service and absolutely delicious. It’s a down to earth, locals place. Forget the tourist traps and bling and eat a hearty, well prepared meal. Will return next time in Nice.

Great food, but if youre an American or in rush this isn't the place for you. You must be ready for a slow and leisurely dinner

A very atmospheric place for dinner. The menu is quite short (which I think is a good sign for the restaurant). The food is delicious. It's really worth visiting there. You won't regret it.

An absolutely fantastic restaurant! We ordered the stuffed veggies and the ricotta ravioli - the most delicious meal we had during our stay in Nice

Booked dinner here ahead of time and I'm glad I did! Food was absolutely delectable! I opted for the Prix Fixe and told the waiter to give me all of his favorites. I was not disappointed! All the food was great, but the Petits Farcis is an absolute must try. Thank me later. Ambience was cool as well. It is a small, local establishment specializing in Niçoise cuisine. It was nice out, so I sat outside on the other side of the sidewalk separating the restaurant from the outdoor dining area. It was right alongside the street as well, so you really got the feeling like you were truly a part of the city while dining. Highly recommend! Enthusiastically, Clayton Cohn

Do not miss this place if you are looking to satisfy all your Nicoise traditional dishes cravings! Every dish we had was flavourful and done just right. Highly recommended! Make sure you make reservations ahead of time to avoid disappointment ;)

Lovely food, reasonable prices, friendly staff. I loved this place and would highly recommend. They make a deal menu with starter, main and dessert for 19€ or €22 and it's worth the money. Food was delicious and tasty and so the selection of drinks. Tried a kind of grappa, the Marc de Provence at the end as it was the right way to finish our lovely meal.

Wonderful place, excellent 3-course dinner. Friendly staffs that patiently explain their menus one-by-one. I would recommend for a Niçoise dinner experience!
