Despite serving terrible food and having limited seating, this restaurant manages to stay in business due to its location in a tourist-heavy area. Its survival relies on the constant influx of tourists rather than the quality of its offerings, making it a less than desirable dining option.

At first glance, it's a cozy place. Wide choice in the menu. Friendly staff. However, the taste of the food is almost terrible. The frozen and reheated oiled snails were quite good, but the cod tasted just as bad as it looks in the photo. Of everything ordered by our company with friends, only fried fish and octopus (without garnish) turned out to be really tasty. You must change the chef! Avoide this place!

Mediocre, but acceptable, just not outstanding. There is nothing wrong with average as long as the prices match. Be forewarned that when paying by card that the server asks how much of a tip to add. Of course you can say zero, but it does catch you off guard, as this is the only place that was so bold to ask for a tip. Lamb chop was flavorful and included marrow that was a nice touch. Ravioli with beef was also flavorful. However, both dishes were basic. Servings were quite large so it seems they’re catering to the tourists. Outside tables cramped. With that said, I would return.

We have ordered snails, risotto and duck there. It was delicious food, good view and friendly stuff. We had to wait for a while (around 20 minutes), but food was delicious :) Rosé house Wine was really good. Wonderful atmosphere , loved it

Understaffed and hence poor service. Did not bring water. Had to ask 5 times to finally get it. Burger-uncooked. Unable to eat. Prawn Linguini- supposed to be with pesto sauce but came with a white a sauce only. Green salad- it was just a bunch of unwashed (dirt visible) lettuce. Shrimp risotto- had look hard to find a shrimp! Mixed Seafood dish-was ok except for the calamari. Overall poor experience. Don’t recommend.

Unfortunately the foods were not good😔 the place was so crowded and for this reason they can’t provide the good quality food I guess. The pasta was so ordinary and the paella was burnt and so dry. If I go to Nice again I will not prefer that kind of crowded restaurants. But the waiters were nice and helpful.

Very bad experience!! the man server took our order with no patience ,he was trying to recommend all the expensive ones ,we ordered one big T-bone and a pizza for 3 persons,he showed disappoint and left ,came after 10min to take our drink order ,the T-bone was horrible like in the pic ,they re-cooked again ,still like this ….. I don’t recommend at all!!!!!

They made our day! We were on a sightseeing tour on the Cote d'Azur for 1 week and had various experiences with French restaurants (and waiters!). But our lunch at Le Bistrot de Jennifer was excellent. The terrace was pleasantly arranged for guests. The food was fresh and well prepared, the waiter was friendly and was able to offer us everything we wanted (he spoke English!). He even deboned a portion of Sea Bass for us. And the highlight was the frog legs - excellent!

Top service with smiles! Friendly staff. Big portion and seafood is so fresh! Price is reasonable for Nice. The food tastes very delicious. Recommended!

Really impressed with the rare tuna and squid ink rice. Also the mussels were the best I’ve tried Service took a while but on the other hand, it didn’t take long to get a seat compared to other places nearby

The food was ok. I ordered a pasta dish, but it was fairly bland even when adding salt and pepper. It definitely could have used some cheese. My wife had a seafood pasta dish and she liked hers quite a bit. The portions are large, but the drinks were a little expensive. This was actually the first restaurant in Nice that we ate at that charged us for water. I know that's common in Europe, but we ate at 5 other places in Nice where this wasn't the case. The service was good and the location was really nice. I would consider trying again, but ordering a different dish.

The food and service is terrible. We ordered the escargot, risotto with octopus, and spaghetti vongole. The risotto with octopus was full of onions. No seafood taste in the vongole, and spaghetti was overcooked. Escargot was average. When we ordered our food, we also ordered water. Our water did not come during our meal. We asked for it again and the waitress brought water without cups. Im not sure how she expects us to drink the water without cups. She left to set up other tables and walked by our table several times without bringing water cups. We finally took the cups from the next table. We also did not receiving our bread while all the other tables did. When the waitress came with our bill, she even asked for a tip.. its absolutely appalling.

Food was great but service was painfully slow. Arrived 19.40 and left 21.30. We spent 30 minutes waiting for our food, 20 to get our plates taken away, 25 to get the dessert and the check. We would have cancelled the dessert if we knew how to do it in french or if the waitress would have stopped talking to random people in the street. Overall great food but be prepared for long waiting times.

The prices are affordable for Nice. The food is ok. Portions are big, I had Frito Misto. Have to mention that there were some of the seafood there were burnt, so I couldn’t eat them. I think that they use old oil for frying them, this is the reason that the food was a little bit bitter, or they fried it too much. Here they have to improve a little bit. But in the rest it was a pleasant evening for us. The staff is very attentive and careful. The waiters were very nice. Better make a reservation in advance because in the evening is very crowded. We enjoyed our evening, will definitely come back. Recommend.

Don't be fooled by the fake bought ratings! We chose this restaurant based on the 4.3 Google rating but soon discovered that the rating is bought. Just after sitting down we were presented with their "special offer" (pictured)... You scan the QR code for a guaranteed win of either a dessert, a glass of champagne or something else... but you have to complete this rating on Google BEFORE you find out what you've won. I thought this sort of bribed ratings practice was not allowed on Google. It shouldn't be. –– Response, in response to the owner’s response, below –– My review is entirely based on the experience I had prior to being asked to rate my experience on Google. There was no food involved because we found this bribed-rating practice too distasteful to stay. The staff member who had escorted us to our table and brought the menus, was very friendly, pleasant and polite.

We had a pleasant diner last Wednesday! The waiter that helped us was very friendly and he spoke very good English. We noticed that he was very busy but still so patient and friendly to us. And most important, the food was very good. You get a lot of value (food) for your money.

All the food was good except shrimp risotto, which was disappointing for me because it only had 3 shrimp bodies with meat and at least 10 other empty heads. Rice was also a bit fade. Really recommend camembert platter, very tasty. Burger and drinks were okay.

Mindblowing. The place is very busy on weekends. We were lucky enough to find a place. The seafood spaghetti is recommended. The vibes if the place too good.

What a wonderful dinner we just had. The pasta we had was amazing and huge! Our server and the staff was very kind and even though they were extremely busy, we were helped always with a smile. The food is well priced and there are a lot of options to choose from.

Cozy place, nice staff, food is normal. Nothing bad, nothing extremly good. The plates are big ans the wine served by glass from Provence is very tasty. The prices are normal

Beside the very nice plating, the food tastes delicious. I think the fritto misto were the best I've ate lately. The salads and the Mussels are also very tasty. I really recommend to take a vreak and enjoy a meal here

A very nice bistro. I was there in the evening with their Menu. I had the octopus and it was very good. I always try the variations of octopus as long i am on holiday and this one is up there. I think the grilling makes it very good.

My name is Jennifer - and that is the only reason I stopped here as there were many options to chose from in the area. It was a nice experience, the food was good and the service was excellent. The server was VERY patient with my terrible French, smiled a lot and seemed genuinely to care about my happiness. I had the Linguini aux fruits de Mer and it was DELICIOUS. They have a pizza oven right inside the door and that looked like something nice to try - perhaps next time.

Very slow service and most of the food was over cooked. The seafood linguine tasted frozen and all seafood was mushy. The fried fish was so crisp that it all tasted the same. Snails were very not too bad for the price.
