So I go in most weeks on a Friday. All the staff genuinely try their best and I feel very well looked after...but a special mention to Rachel who literally runs around the place to get you your pint on time. An absolute credit to wetherspoons. Brilliant. In my opinion from living in Norwich a long time now...the best in the city for service.

Impromptu visit to Norwich and decided to try this Spoons before heading home late afternoon. Wasn't too busy, sat upstairs, very pleasant environment. Service was excellent and food was typical of Spoons, great value for money. Highly recommend The Glass House.

Really nice Wetherspoons which surprises me. Staff were really friendly as well, a man serving me my drinks was very chatty and cracking a laugh with me. Didn’t catch his name sadly. Food was served hot, prices very good as well. Will call again definitely. Good friendly atmosphere with the people in there as well.

A large traditional Wetherspoons, with plenty of outside seating and a rotating selection of real ales. I've personally found the service friendly and reasonably fast if you order via the app. And the food is decent quality for the price. There are plenty of vegan or vegetarian options, and you can smoke outside. At weekends, The Glasshouse gets very hectic. It's cheap booze in the middle of a city. Go figure.

Usual city JD. We came here on coronation day, some of us ate and all of us drank. Quick speedy service with good prices on the drinks, and the food was quick, hot and reasonably priced. If you’re expecting grandeur and decadence, it’s a spoons and a really good one at that.

Excellent atmosphere, prices are the same as other Wetherspoons (so reasonable!) service is generally very fast and there is plenty of seating and an outside area. Never really been let down by this place.

Attended with my wife and 7 year old daughter, used the app for ordering which was a simple process. Drinks arrived first after just a few minutes, waitress was extremely courteous and friendly. Within 10 minutes, our food arrived and the same lovely waitress asked if we needed any additional condiments. All of the food was piping hot and tasty. My only issue was the beer I selected did have a 'taint to it from the start but I decided not to go to the bar as it was only slight but it did become more apparent the more I had and so I did leave some. I mentioned this to staff when our plates were being cleared just for their info, and the staff member apologised, advised she would check the cellar (as this was a new beer on tap) and offered me a replacement (which I was not expecting as I did not deal with this issue sooner myself) so I just asked for a half which was happily supplied. All in all, a very pleasant experience as I have come to expect from Wetherspoon.

I personally wouldn't say it's the best, but each to their own, the food is basic standards, and the drinks are yes cheaper than a normal pub, but the quality is not something I would say is good. I found it loud and too busy. All in all, it's only good for a checkpoint on a night out 😀

Typical "spoons", good selection of beers and food at reasonable prices. Seating perhaps not the most comfortable, but that's a purely personal opinion. Recommended

  • 2/5 Athina G. 1 year ago on Google
Bad experience. Drink took nearly 30 minutes so I went downstairs to collect my drink but got no apology. Other drinks got taken up after mine had been sitting for ages before the new drinks were made.

Wetherspoons are good at what they offer, good food & beer at great prices. Location & layout are an added bonus. Many areas to this place with loads of different seating formats. Beer garden, balcony & different rooms. Food was great, although there is a wait. Smashing place.

Quite a good 'spoons really I thought. The beer was good, the staff were friendly. Obviously it's well priced too.

Tipped up at a busy time and staff on full speed. Like many places I expect there short staffed so service a little slow.. shame all else as you would expect in a spoons

  • 5/5 Matt J. 9 months ago on Google
It's your typical Spoons. Despite being busy, service was reasonably quick and the food very tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the pub was clean and tidy. Really nothing to complain about for the price paid!

Had a nice time at the Glasshouse Norwich, it's very clean, price of food is very good value for money, staff friendly, would go again, friday & Saturdays are very buzzy.

Roomy bar on two floors. Usual reliable Spoons menu, produced in top order at reasonable prices. We'll certainly make this our regular hostelry on our next visit.

Dropped in for coffee on a cold and miserable day. Very good value. Decided to have the 3 plates deal for an early lunch. Shared chicken bites, chips and curry sauce and pigs in blankets. I wasn't so keen on the latter, but my partner did. Pub was busy the whole time we were there, which isn't bad for a Monday afternoon

The food here is quite good.

Another Weatherspoons, serving consistently good food and Real Ale. Always reasonably priced and great value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. The curry and pint is highly recommended and always tasty. The ale was in good condition and drinking really well. Use the App to order to your table number, or visit the bar to order and pay in person.

Another Wetherspoons, another carpet. A nice Spoons within Norwich. The staff were friendly, although struggled to find our drinks on the till. We didn't eat here, but the drink was spot on.

Friendly speedy service and one of the few places, it seems in the city, that has nice lively beer. Not the Ritz but very pleasant and ordering from your phone is easy. Coctails good value too ;)

  • 1/5 adrian t. 6 months ago on Google
Rude bar staff, run by kids who really don't care if they serve you or not. The steak and kidney pudding was served with cool gravy, and the pudding dry and unsubstantial. We spent £37 on two meals and a bottle of wine. I know it's cheap, but the quality was really poor. No one asked if the food was ok. Wine was nice though, and served in a bucket of ice. Otherwise, really poor - go elsewhere if you can.

Friendly staff, nice interior, good pub grub, I liked it.

  • 4/5 Paul M. 8 months ago on Google
Great food: "all day brunch" think it was called. Could have had more, but maybe cause I had very little to eat that day. Service with a smile. Rather noisy atmosphere but maybe due to it being a Friday evening. Enjoyed it overall.

  • 3/5 Chloe H. 6 months ago on Google
Wasn't too loud considering it was a Saturday night. Service was really slow. We did table service and they took well over 30mins. But more worryingly the drinks tickets said they had been made 10-15 mins prior to getting to our table... not very safe considering they have been sat on the bar top for that long unattended - recommend going and ordering and picking drinks up from the bar in person.

I don't use Spoons as often as I should. A rainy night in Norwich, few local places open for food and walked into the Glass House, prepared for ... not much going on what I'd believed. What a pleasant surprise to get a smiling reception, great service, a very decent burger and chips together with a glass of an acceptable Merlot. All for about a half the price of other places. Great. I'll be back!!

Fantastic favourite in Norwich. Prices are good for food and increase in cost negligible. Well worth a visit at any time of day, especially for All Day Brunch. Superb.

Nice pub, we sat outside and had food. Ordered on the app and it arrived within 10 minutes. Staff polite and friendly

Well words can not describe the fun I had. Liquid lunch with my boss Laura is always a giggle, great company and great bants. The highlight had to be the shepherd who walked on by (sheep were at their step shepherds for the night) beers went down well and the bar staff poured them to perfection. Great boozer!

Large & busy Weatherspoons outlet in central Norwich. An unusual modern design instead of the usual old building converted to a pub model, with large windows and upper floor. Usual prompt service and great prices.

  • 5/5 Rob B. 2 years ago on Google
I have never had food at a Wetherspoons Pub before, but I'm glad I did today! It was brought to me exactly to my dietary requirements and was really nice! The staff are lovely and helpful and it's a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely return!

Very reasonable prices from this chain pub. Venue is very well maintained plenty of room inside and out. Food is always great with fast service too.

  • 1/5 Dominika O. 1 year ago on Google
If i knew that in this pub you have to behave like in a church, i would never go there, the employee who kept shushing us because we were laughing too loud, refused to buy us the next round of beer, he was very rude (he had long bangs combed to the side ) honestly if you want to go there in a group of friends, learn sign language because you will be asked to leave. Waste of time .

  • 4/5 Daniel P. 2 years ago on Google
A good solid spoons. Just out the way enough to not get too busy, and they still seem to care about the food they serve. Always friendly staff and a nice outdoor area.

  • 5/5 Chloe M. 1 year ago on Google
Me and my partner love coming here- it’s the Spoons with the best service, quality and waiting times in the city. Today, we witnessed a group harassing a woman outside. Within seconds of us alerting Sherry, a member of staff, to the situation, she had security and a manager on the scene, who managed it professionally and had those people removed from the premises. Sherry was incredible under the circumstances, making us all feel safe and welcome, and deserves a lot of praise.

  • 4/5 Martin B. 1 year ago on Google
A nice pub with affordable drinks prices. The menu has recently changed and, due to dietary restrictions, we only have a very limited choice for food. Our problem, not theirs. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating.

  • 5/5 Lee M. 1 year ago on Google
Staff helpful, A great place, with a lovely beer garden and nice views

  • 2/5 Gyles C. 1 year ago on Google
Staff shortages meant long waits. But can I really blame people for not wanting to work here with the state of most of the public who visit here. I never expect the best at a wetherspoon but there was next to no cheese on my pizza, sent it back and the cheery man got a fresh one sent to me that again did not have a lot of cheese.

It's a weatherspoons so cheap beer/drinks Good location and allways fairly busy.. difficult to get a seat and fairly loud and noisy.. the toilets are allways bad and smelly but that's a weatherspoons. Staff are allways busy in here and feels like they need extra help a lot of the time..

  • 4/5 Seadell Bar H. 1 year ago on Google
Polite and presentable bar staff but miserable with it!! A smile and a warm welcome goes along way! Toilets clean. The doorstaff were superb and professional. A great selection of drinks and real ales at good prices.

  • 5/5 Donna W. 1 year ago on Google
What can I say about Wetherspoon. It's Wetherspoon! Food tasted as good as usual, big fan of the chips with curry sauce and the carpet was as unique as ever. This Wetherspoon was very busy, however luckily we managed to find a seat as another couple were leaving! Prices are great as per usual!

  • 4/5 Alex S. 1 year ago on Google
They say don't throw stones in glass houses and you really mustn't in here or you could be asked to leave. Instead, why not enjoy an endless supply of cheap booze and pocket freindly nosh and save the stones for the river, just a minutes walk away. There you can burp off your intake and explode your back vent in a ducks face, after enjoying your time in the Glasshouse.
