One of my favourites when I lived here, the atmosphere is great, the courtyard is really cool and tucked away from the crowds f the centre. We revisiting recently and the food really impressed. The menu is massive and our group of 6 had a great spread of all the options. I had the three cheese and mushroom burger which was very good. The fish and chips was huge and could tell was fresh fish. Service was super fast and always came out with a smile, despite having to dodge the rain!! We all order separately too, so was a nice touch to have it all come out together. The inside is a classic pub, the outdoor courtyard as mentioned is really cool and also HEATED (life savour!) Price wise, it’s very standard gastro pub pricing but with the quality of food it’s a very good deal! Definitely recommend the lamb if your visiting or eating out on Norwich.

I would not go back for the food although I can see it being a good place to enjoy a drink. Sunday roast was really unpleasant. Beef was dry and cut like doorstops, cauliflower cheese was just steamed cauliflower with what seemed like American cheese on top. Despite this the staff were very helpful and understanding which we appreciated.

Good food menu. Especially love the outside seating. Perfect during the slightly cooler days. The gig the other day that we walked into was great for something that was free. Staff was very welcoming.

I had sausage and mash at the lamb for lunch, it was a mixed bag, the sausages were poor quality and the mash was a tiny portion. However, I asked if it was possible to get some more and the waitress happily obliged. I had the chocolate brownie for desert, it was delicious if a little stodgy. £20 for the whole meal, it's worth a punt if you're in the city and the court yard is nice if you want to sit outside.

One of the best Sunday roasts we had. We had mixed meat and lamb shanks. Beer selection was great. Prices very reasonable. Service was prompt. The chocolate cake is so rich and yummy. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals here. We had an outdoor seat and the atmosphere was really great on a Sunday afternoon. Would come back anytime for another round of feast again. Well done Lamb Inn!

Went for a meal with friends, not been for a while. Really disappointing. Food was ok, lots of choices not available. The most disappointing thing was the service. Sat upstairs where the bar was closed so having to trot up and down the stairs with our drinks. When we were shown to our table we weren't told we needed to order on the app. Eventually worked that out. However app didn't work properly and the app doesn't list the beers or wines available, ended up going down to the bar to order the food and drinks. Had planned to go back in a couple of weeks with other friends but will be looking for somewhere else now.

I'd like to thank all the staff at The Lamb Inn for a lovely dining experience. They were nothing but accommodating providing us with the most suitable space for our large family with 2 young children and looked after us so well. This was all on top of a fantastic menu & drinks selection !!!

A little hidden gem in Norwich. Based on a recommendation, we booked at table for food on Boxing Day. We actually ended up stumbling across the Lamb Inn on Christmas Eve. Hidden away from the high street, you walk down a cobbled path which opens up to a large outdoor seating area before entering a well presented pub/restaurant. The atmosphere on both occasions was brilliant and the clientele were friendly and festive. It felt like a place that was popular with a slightly older crowd. The Lamb Inn is also dog friendly and our Labrador was made to feel very welcome by everyone. The food was tasty on both occasions although we were a little disappointed that the steak (along with other dishes) were sold out on Boxing Day. We didn't realise that they were only serving food up to 5 o clock. The bar got quite busy at various points but it never seemed to take too long to be served. All of the drinks were of a good quality. A place well worth a visit!

Visited with friends for lunch. Sandwiches were a generous size and delicious, the only down side was the size of the crusts on the bread. It was slightly chilly but understand that needs must and it was not a problem. A very pleasant place to spend a couple of hours.

Always had a good meal at the Lamb Inn but the recent burger with pork and bacon was amazing. Good selection of real ales and craft beer. Nice to see Tiny Rebel and Jaipur both on tap. Staff were all very friendly too. Inside they have sky sports but it never feels too roudy or uninviting. Great not so hidden gem!!

Favourite pub in Norwich, before the theatre, after shopping, relaxing, catching up , or starting the night with drinks. Has a nice outdoor court yard. Friday evening, they had a live DJ outside. Week days, nice outdoor area for drinks. They have heaters at the tables for the cold evenings. Indoor seating as well. Drinks standard price as the other pubs. Wheelchair friendly.

Amazing service for our table of 25, with a 4 course meal and drinks. All food was thoroughly enjoyed and complimented all day. Drinks are a higher price mark than your average spoons, but you pay for good quality and good service. Bartenders, food runners and kitchen staff all worked their absolute socks off for our booking. The day was perfect, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Thank you all for your hard work. Filipa, you’re an asset, and I hope you get the recognition you deserve.

Went for a Sunday roast, got served with two roast potatoes, one sugar snap pea, one slice of carrot and three thin slices of roast pork without crackling for £13.50!. My wife asked for Yorkshire pudding and gravy but we didn't receive any. Hope you feel better ripping off people

Attended on Tuesday 31st October for a meeting. Fantastic setting and comfortable surroundings. Food and drinks more than met expectations as did the service by the fantastic staff. Thank you all, well done and keep up the good work!

Mixed reviews on here Probably not the thing to do when writing a review is to read the other reviews first. I try not to do that too often. Anyhows, the service I received was impeccable. The food delicious, and all within 13 minutes of ordering. I think given the circumstances, cold and cloudy, only about 12 people in the courtyard, it was easy. But they still did a really good job. I also think people have been pretty harsh with their reviews. The food really was excellent and the service very good. So loosen up people.... When it's busy its always going to be harder to give that same level of service. On the whole, for me, EXCELLENT

Exactly a year ago today we had our wedding lunch here In all the excitement etc we forgot to leave a review so as it’s the first anniversary we thought we should do it now. Can’t thank the staff and management for making it a great experience They even gave me a bouquet of flowers which I was very grateful for They worked so hard for our party of 50, and did an amazing job Thanks belatedly to all involved

This was my first visit part of an office party The layout of this facility is excellent. The interior design has incorporated spaces for both small and large groups to feel private and exclusive. The food (veg burger, fried prawns and prawn salad) was all very high quality. Good atmosphere and friendly service.

Had mulled wine, was a little on the cold side but tasted good. Was a quick visit so didn't really get a feel for the place. But it was lovely inside.

Great meal, good service, they found us some space even tho we didn't book. Only downer was that we couldn't use the qr code to order as there was no mobile reception. I did order with a very cute (and helpful) guy at the bar tho!

I ordered lamb shank on the application here for table serve. 30 minutes later they came up and said that they are sorry and they have finished lamp shanks. They offered me either a refund or to change the meal. They were polite. I really didn't like any other option but because I was with friends of conference I had to take something. Then after that it took them many other minutes to prepare the steak. So I was waiting total of 45 minutes. Eventually they returned half the price of lamb shank as a mitigation. But I just didn't like the steak and I didn't enjoy. But I think their food was good in general except the steak I had. It's fun probably to go here. In general I liked the quality of their other things like the dessert I had, the brownie with icecream was very nice.

Very decent up-market vibe in the centre of Norwich. Large outdoor area with plenty of seating. Our table was a little wonky and we got watered when the hanging baskets did, but enjoyed our time. Price not too bad and the usual suspects on tap. Solid stop if on a daytime Norwich pub crawl.

I have to say it a lot better now than in the passed, maybe they have changed the management of the pub I'm not sure, but it has improved. We ordered drinks and food that was presented nicely, the platter that we order was a good size for 2 people or even three.. The pub is in the middle of the city centre with a large courtyard seating partly covered with heaters when it gets colder, inside also has a good atmosphere. Ideal if you are a smoker to sit outside.

A hidden gem in the heart of the city A huge courtyard if you want alfresco Plenty of room inside upstairs and downstairs Although there's a lot of people, it's very easy to get served. You order the food and pay at the same time Starters I had baked smoked haddock and cheese fish cake followed by pork roast and topped off with sticky toffee rum sponge absolutely delicious complements to the chef The staff are very friendly and very helpful Highly recommend this establishment

Sat down in court yard at 11.00am ,lovely and quiet. Nice sunny day. Can't beat it. A few people having cooked breakfast. Do recommend going at non busy times

Visited on Saturday afternoon. Served quite quickly at a reasonably busy time. Haven't been here for a while, but, seemed quite expensive for a coke and a pint, which cost nearly £9. Sat in the outside seating area. It was a bit noisy as a group of young blokes were on the lash, and nobody from the pub staff seemed interested in confronting them. Ok, but hard to judge if I would return.

Food was good. Friendly staff. Nice place to sit outside.

We sat and ate outside which was exvellent as the weather suited it. The atmosphere and vibe was great. It's dog friendly and as we have a friendly dog he got plenty of fuss. As the evening got cooler the heaters came on so we could remain outside. The service was friendly, polite and happy. The food was good too. I enjoyed the sausages and mash for main then the crumble of the day with custard. Brilliant central location, outside is a coutyard which is mostly enclosed by surrounding buildings making it feel like a little sheltered hide away in what can be bustling surroundings. Happily recommend this for somewhere to meet up and chat, chill, and to have something to eat. All with the added bonus of being dog friendly.

Not bad for a city centre pub. Decent beer selection, but I wasn't so impressed with the food offering as dishes were not available on a Saturday at lunchtime when you'd have expected a fully stocked kitchen. That said I would visit again.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Manager greeted us at the door and found us a table. Lovely food with lots of choice plus the best mulled cider I've ever had!

Very cool pub and restaurant, I especially like the chicken burger, large selection of drinks too though I always order a peroni, highly recommend, there's one really cool bartender there too, curly hair and often shaves his head. People should buy him more drinks!

As we were in our fine City today shopping, we decided to have lunch and a drink in the Lamb! We had Roast beef and a Turkey dinner, as pubs go this was without a doubt one of the best dinners we have had. Staff were very attentive and smiley to. All in all lovely thank you. See you again soon.

Really lovely dining experience. The staff were brilliant, the atmosphere was great, but the vegetarian options were a bit limited. My main meal was delicious, but I ordered a side of cauliflower cheese which wasn't very good. It was sitting in water and was just boiled cauliflower with cheese grated on it, and for that reason I have given a 4 star review. I would go back again though, and hopefully my next experience will bump it up to 5 stars
