This is a great department store located in Norwich. It was an absolute pleasure to shop in store, the staff are welcoming, well informed and can not be more helpful. Jarrold's appears to be located in three separate buildings in the centre of Norwich and I've sampled both the main department store and The Granary (appears to be more design led home and lighting pieces). I can truly state that the range is a great deal more interesting than other retail environments so it's the ideal place to explore and find some interesting items are great prices. The absolute winner is that the store is dog friendly. I really can't praise this store enough.

Quality, Quality, Quality Jarrolds is a jewel in the retail scene of historic Norwich. A family owned business run with care an attention to detail. Great spot for retail therapy, items from reasonable prices to something special and unique. Team on site are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I saw there were restaurants on other floors but unfortunately I did not have time to visit ...on my next visit I will and post a review. 'Jarrolds is the Harrods of Norwich' Highly recommend a visit to support this local business.

The basement of the Jarrold department store in Exchange Street, Norwich is a foodies delight. Amid the spectacular displays of cheese, wine, gin and much, much more is the Marketplace restaurant. The Marketplace’s menu is a limited selection of pasta and pizza. A lady at the neighbouring table told me these are the best pizzas in Norwich and she may well be right. My tagliatelle with meatballs was spectacular. Rich and filling and a wonderful experience. Thoroughly recommended.

Went on Sunday 13.12.20 and found it very clean. All counters have screens up. Good choice of hot or salad and drinks. Card payment only. Children's meal comes with a roll, drink, fruit and so colouring pencils. Came Sunday 16.01.2022 for carvery. Queue moved quickly and service was efficient and friendly. Seating area was clean and tables are cleared quickly. Lots of seating and different colours/types of chairs Toilets are downstairs which is a bit of a pain.

Spent ages walking around Norwich looking for the perfect place to have a sandwich and found the Pantry 3rd floor Jarrolds. Wow, fantastic. Create your own sandwich. Delicious fillings staff very friendly and helpful. We had tea and found the most fantastic homemade fruit cake. We definitely will be back when we are next in Norwich. We very highly recommend this place.

Having not been to Jarrolds for a while, we decided to explore the store. Whilst in the cosmetic department my wife needed some direction with make up to suit her skin tone. Paris looked after her, going through the basics and gave her a make over whilst being attentive, knowledgeable about all brands, which meant the options open to her were more varied and specific to her skin tone and requirements. He took her out to the day light to show her how the natural light and foundation worked well which we thought was over and above what he needed to do. There was no obligation to buy, but as he was able to demonstrate how to use the products well it gave my wife new confidence to replicate. I was that impressed I also asked for advise on moisturiser for my own skin, which he assisted on too. Having spent a large amount of money the only downside was that we left without our free products, but otherwise excellent customer service from Paris, a credit to the department store. Thanks again Paris.

I came here on 30 Dec. for a nice outfit, and Tim in the men’s department was kind enough to help me find my size in trousers, especially since my usual size in the US is different from the UK/EU sizes. Thank you Tim! Also, the staff in the food hall and in the kitchenware department were great! I’m excited to come back soon :)

Fantastic department store. Probably the best in our fine city. Food hall full of goodies and the deli stocked with cracking looking food. Well worth a visit.

Great family run department store. More of a Selfridge's than John Lewis. Great men's dept. Wonderful places to eat. Do visit the basement wine and cocktail's bar.

Finally met a friend for coffee and a cheese scone. Still good. After a little wander round, went back to share a fish platter in the seafood restaurant. It was delicious. Service from Amelia was excellent. Shall certainly return

Fantastic service. My wife was looking for a cushion to mate an existing one. Manufacturers stated no longer available, found Jarrolds by chance, searched for the item voila. Ordered Saturday delivered Tuesday. Great service from a very good company.

Absolutely love this store! Even found a small bowl from Denby which couldn’t even find on Denby site! Highly recommend to visit, even coffee is great!

The bay restaurant, place for seafood foodies. Staff lovely and accommodating. We had the salmon taster board with pickled Cucumber and the Veggie platter. Only suggestion for the veggie would be to add salmon for additional cost, then perfect. Highly recommend and will be back.

Jarrolds in Norwich has been an important department store for as long as I remember! With changing shopping habits Jarrolds has adapted by adding restaurants, bars etc to keep people coming through the door. There are two wine bars in the basement, we ate at the Cheese & Chatcuterie Bar. The food is nice and a good selection of wine, which can also be purchased in store. I haven't eaten in any of the other bars but intend to. On top of all that they have a great book department. So check it out the next time you are in Norwich.

Absolutely love visiting here for special occasions. The staff are always polite and helpful. The experience was no different to any other I've had at Jarrolds.

I went in to Jarrolds Lingerie department a couple of times just before Christmas as I needed some new underwear. The ladies who were working there were all really helpful, pointing out nice pieces that I had missed when quickly looking round. If the style meant I needed a different size they were always quick to bring the new bra into the changing room for me. They were all lovely and friendly and made the experience a very nice one. I certainly will be shopping here again for lingerie, and would whole heartedly recommend it.

My old haunt and a great meeting place for coffee in the department store cafe. It is also a wonderful place for that special gift. Great for browsing. This is a gem of a department store, a traditional inner city shopping experience not easily found in today's modern consumer society.

Another visit to the lovely deli counter today. I can't help myself! Such wonderful produce and the shop is just amazing for food and as for Easter Egg selection and displays...amazing. I hear they are expanding the food area, so pleased; there is such wonderful choice and I always have to hold back from buying too much! The staff are second to none with their service also; what more could you ask for. Lovely to see this department store doing well and growing; please pop in and see for yourself. Wonderful experience and I will be back again very soon no doubt!

Love this place, they do the best cooked breakfast in the Cafe, they have a huge shop on several floors in the most gorgeous old building too, it is probably why they have still been going since 1823! Since the pandemic it is more important to keep the iconic stores like this and John Lewis going strong for at least another 200 years!.

Department stores appear to be going extinct, with the exception of Jarrold's ornate Norwich flagship store, which remains as busy as ever. Service is usually fast and efficient, and prices seem competitive given the quality of choice on offer. (I've found the travel department particularly helpful.) You can buy cheaper. But in life, as on the high street, you tend to get what you pay for. And you can often pick up a bargain on sale if you hunt around.

I used to go to the restaurant on the top floor with my grandparents and the food is surprisingly a really good standard. Not sure why I’d didn’t think it would be, but the roast is consistently good! The meat is really tender and they have a lot of variety in the vegetables. They’re also really generous with the portions! The rest of the shop has everything you want from nicely styled home wear to a good selection of clothes too. I recently bought some creed aftershave and the lady serving gave me some really good advice before buying as well

Wonderful shop, right in the heart of Norwich. Fantastic deli/food hall, great selection of men's and women's clothing, cosmetics, etc.. Lots of cafés, although haven't used one recently. The book section (recently moved to level 3) is well stocked. Brilliant local store - long may it continue.

A great place. I'm used to John Lewis so wasn't sure what to expect but it's lovely, with lots of great departments and 3 different places to eat and drink. We went to the seafood place on the second floor for drinks. Very friendly staff. Will def be back :)

Such a nice store. Been buying from them online regularly because they often offer a good price - they package things beautifully and so we thought we would pay a visit. The Jarrod is a very nice multi storey department store with a great line in clothing, cosmetics, housewares, furniture and toys. It also has a truly excellent food hall. In store nothing felt especially cheap but the whole experience is very nice. Across the road they also have a great at store.

This place is an absolute treasure trove of beautiful things. Special mention goes to Paris the make up artist in their beauty department ground floor. He did my mums make up for her and just absolutely made her day. He was professional but friendly and took the time out to help us out and really listen to what mum wanted. Thank you so much for making her day!

Nice department store with a great selection of fashion to meet the needs of various ages. The store has multiple levels and is well laid out for your browsing needs. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. We are losing much of our high streets and stores like Jarrold's need our support, plus it's a better shopping experience than ordering online.

A lovely department store that is quite unique to Norwich. Good cafe and lovely selection for everything you'd expect from a dept store of its kind (clothes, furnishings, cosmetics etc). Also has a sneaky wine bar downstairs with its deli counter. What a find!

Norwich's only independent store remaining. Maintains a staunch belief of not opening on Boxing Day or New Year's Day which is brilliant, wish more places would adopt that policy. My favourite area is the small coffee area in the basement. I always remember coming here in my childhood, visiting the legendary Santa's grotto.

Olivia NARS beauty consultant - absolutely blown away by the customer service Olivia from NARS gave today. So professional, kind, no pushy sales tactics used, knowledgable and patient. I can hands down say that NARS has a loyal customer for life because of this woman! Best customer service I have ever received from a make up and beauty expert. ⭐️
