Awful, Awful, Awful! Not just the food but the waitress and atmosphere. Our server who I think was the manager/head waitress as was not wearing the usual uniform was sour faced, didnt smile once, very unfriendly and sharp. We haven't eaten here for many years but my Sons chose here for their 16th birthday meal as they fancied steak. There was 5 of us, 4 had steak. I have never seen so much fat on a piece of meat, the steaks were not cooked to our liking. My burger was tasteless and the bun was stale. I think this was the worst burger I've ever had! Meanwhile the manager/head waitress was having a confrontation with a couple who were complaining about their food. This should have been dealt with instantly but she kept arguing with them which was extremely disturbing to other diners and damaging to the business. We sat 2 tables away but could hear quite clearly what was going on. The couple were not very pleased with the attitude/friendliness of this member of staff either. The battle went on for around an hour which I found appalling. Our desserts were the best part of the meal. We didnt complain as we felt this would have pushed said waitress over the edge after dealing with the other complaint. We will never return here and be sure to tell our friends to AVOID!

Very enjoyable food at very competitive prices. Fixed price menus available which offer amazing value at low low prices. You can buy 1, 2 or 3 courses from the fixed price lunch menu with the 3 courses costing only 10.95 and all include a great variety of options. If you're looking for a little bit more or maybe want to up to the bigger steaks, you can choose the prime set menu and get 3 courses for just 18.95, again this is fantastic value. Staff have always been very welcoming and service even when busy is still on point. They don't bug you whilst you're eating and very helpful to cater to any needs you may have during your visit. They also offer a reward system via the app where you get points per pound you spend. Added up you can take this of any bill you need to pay there. Sunday roasts available with a choice of 3 meats, cooked to your satisfaction. Again this is available as part of a Sunday roast menu so you can add another 2 courses for a couple of pounds each! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, even if you aren't a steak lover, they have other options to cater for all. If you have any allergens they are happy to help you through the menu. 5 Star service overall!!

Sadly we went for the prime deal and the steak was of poor quality. I would advise going for one of the specialty steaks and hope these are of better quality. We also had an issue with the salad on the prawn cocktail not being washed enough as we had a dead fly in the lower leaf, shame as the prawns and sauce were good. Desert was good, chocolate fondant. The restaurant did not charge for the starter or service charge (we did not ask for this). My reviews are very honest on the day I/we have a particular meal so my overall advice is try another steak house first but as I said before if you do go to Middeltons do not go for the prime deal, at least not the steak.

This is a regular for some people and my 2nd visit in 3 months for me to keep it special. We were upstairs this time, and we were very fortunate that they had a table because they do get full very quickly because it is popular. Again we eat from the lunchtime menu and 2 courses for £11:95 and only £2: more for 3 courses is excellent value for delicious well presented food. The only thing is the 10% service charge that can be a surprise, but the service from Luke was very good.

Firstly, I would like to preface this review saying we have eaten here a couple of times before and have always been happy with the meal. We booked a table for 6.45pm, they were so busy we didn't get seated until 7.10pm, not a great start in my opinion for a booked table. We mentioned we had other plans for the night and would need to be done around 8pm and ordered as soon as we sat down. All we wanted was a main, so 1hr 15 should be plenty of time for that under normal circumstances. Fast forward to 7.45pm, still no food. We asked if they were close to serving because, if not, we would have to leave and get going. At this point, I believe they pushed our order forward to help us, which is much appreciated. 15 mins later, we get our food. However, I must say it's the most disappointing meal I have ever been served there before. My steak was cold, and my partner had the wrong burger. At this point, we had to leave without eating as we had no time for them to remedy the issues. I must say the staff were all apologetic and understanding. They could see it had been a poor experience for us from the moment we walked through the door. I hope this isn't the standard for Middletons going forward, but this is enough to put us going back for a while!

Went as part of a group of 9. Waited quite a while to be served. Food was nice but steak was overcooked . However, their response was amazing. Brought another steak which was perfectly cooked. Got a few things wrong with the other orders but again, a good response in rectifying. Overall, not a bad experience, but could have been better. However, the waitress was great.

Having been to several Middleton's before I had high expectations. But this time it fell really short, firstly when the water bottle arrived prior to service, the bottle had mold around the lid. The presentation of the food was basic considering the price but the steak was cooked perfectly, I then ordered a cheese board and what I got was embarrassing. Will not return

We have been to Middletons a few times now, and it never disappoints. We visited today for our daughter's 12th birthday, and it was beautiful. The staff are so incredibly friendly and the food is sublime. Three of us tried the roast dinner for the first time today, and it was delicious! To be able to enjoy a two course meal for four people, with drinks for under £60, is fantastic value for money, especially when you know the meat is top quality. We can't wait to come back again.

We had a lovely lunch time. Even without a booking the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We ate and drank as much as we possibly could and the bill was just under £100 for the 4 of us. Highly recommended! Excellent service, fantastic food quality. Best value for money!

The steak was really good, nice service, atmosphere a bit too loud. Wasn't happy about cheap cutlery and automatically added "optional" 10% service charge.

Very nice, quick service... Fabulous steaks real griddle flavour.. Prefer to give my own tips instead of being added to the bill.

Been here now twice in 14 hours, late night meal and now a mid day meal, both times, very professional and courteous service, food is out of this world, Amazing. Highly recommend.

The food is absolutely incredible! We went on a Friday evening so it was very busy. But everyone was so friendly, great service. We went to celebrate my birthday. Best lemon lime drinks! For starters we had camembert and aranchi. For our mains we had A cheese burger and Middleton burger! The meat is so soft and full of flavour. Would 100% recommend Middletons!

Came her with my colleagues for out first bottomless brunch. atmosphere wasn't for my taste, ladies too far to go from downstairs. Food for was simple, but nice (because of limited choice for bottomless lunch, not a problem). Cocktails limited to about 6 choices, but few were really nice and made with high quality.

Fantastic food as always! First visit for a Sunday Roast but certainly will not be the last. Food was high quality & plentiful, staff friendly & attentive and the Sunday roast offering is great value for money!

Amazing food, drink and service. We were served by Luke who was incredibly attentive and able to have a laugh with us. Food is incredible; between the 4 of us we had sirloin, roasts and a burger and they were all exquisite. Even the 'boring' parts of roasts (parsnips basically!) were incredible. Great selection of drinks. We were so full from starters, mains and sides we couldn't manage the desert, but they looked delicious. Not cheap, but worth every single penny . Easily the best place to eat in the city, especially for occasions

We had a delicious meal here on 1 September. Our waitress and all the staff were lovely. Would go back again with no hesitation.

Went for bottomless brunch and it was brilliant. Great service on the drinks from little Lauren. She was very on the ball. Great choice of cocktails!
