What a warm welcome we had, not just from the friendly staff but it was warm and cosy, just what I'd hoped! Dining downstairs or upstairs. Our 1st time at Bill's in Norwich and well worth the visit. Filming for my YouTube Channel Fat2Health promoting healthy weight loss and proving that you CAN indeed eat out and enjoy every mouthful and still lose weight. The staff at Bills were on it! Smiles from everyone...looked like a great place to work too! They had no idea what I do for a living so I didn't influence them to give me any extra attention. You get what you pay for... The meals aren't over the top piled up high on the plate but instead the quality was perfect. I shall definitely go again. For anyone on a weight loss journey please check out my channel. 11 stone gone and feeling amazing! Get out there and experience good food! J x

We had a birthday booking of 16 accepted by the restaurant. Our group was split into 2 tables and we weren't told this beforehand unfortunately. When ordering drinks, most of us chose the draught Peroni, specifically saying pints. We were brought opened 660ml bottles, which cost more and we were not informed that there was no draught beer when we ordered these. The food was good, just wish there was a little more on the plates. We had some trouble at the end: as there was no way to pay when pre-ordering, everything had to be split between all 16 of us... In the end the manager had to come and help staff get to the bottom of an issue with the bill - we'd been charged bottle prices (£7.25) when the waitress who initially brought us the bottled beer had said we would be charged draught prices £6.50. Most of the waiting staff were very patient with us and served us well - I will say the waitress who served us as we arrived (and gave us the bottled beer) seemed quite miserable from the get go which is off-putting. In fairness a large group like that is hard to serve and deal with - better communication and general organisation would have solved the majority of the issues. I especially think when you accept large functions like ours, it'd save lots of pain for you and customers to allow us to individually pre pay for the food online, and even for drinks too perhaps. And tell them that the whole group will not be seated together... I'm giving 2 stars for the above mentioned points, and my dirty cutlery (pictured). I'm relieved I noticed it as whoever layed the table clearly didn't.

I recently dined at Bill's Restaurant and had an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm and friendly service, which set the tone for the entire evening. To start off my meal, I ordered the dumplings and halloumi sticks. The dumplings were cooked to perfection, with a delicious filling that was bursting with flavor. The halloumi sticks were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, creating a delightful combination of textures. Both appetizers were incredibly tasty and left me wanting more. Moving on to the main course, I opted for the fish pie and the truffle chicken two ways. The fish pie was a true comfort food delight. It was packed with a generous amount of succulent fish and topped with a creamy, flavorful mash. Each bite was pure bliss, and it truly showcased the chef's expertise in creating a hearty and satisfying dish. The truffle chicken two ways was equally impressive. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and infused with a delicate truffle flavor. The presentation of the dish was also exceptional, adding to the overall dining experience. Throughout the evening, the staff at Bill's Restaurant provided excellent service. They were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and always willing to cater to any dietary preferences or requirements. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, creating a relaxed atmosphere that enhanced the enjoyment of the meal. In conclusion, I highly recommend Bill's Restaurant based on my dining experience. The quality of the food, the attention to detail, and the exceptional service all contribute to making this a truly memorable culinary destination. Whether you're looking for a place to have a delicious meal or simply wanting to unwind and enjoy a lovely dining experience, Bill's Restaurant is the perfect choice.

Brilliant Bills. Excellent service from start to finish, staff here know exactly how to treat their customers 10/10 🙌🏼 food was lovely. We went out of our normal comfort food choices and went with things we wouldn't usually eat...like devilled chicken! Great impromptu brunch/lunch. Would reccomend to book as not to be disappointed as they got very busy.

Absolutely loved our visit here. The food was incredible and the waitress that served us was literally the best. She was very knowledgeable about all the different dishes and helped us make the perfect decision. It has a great menu and there are lots of vegetarian and vegan options. I'd highly recommend it.

The Goan fish curry was some of the best fish curry, I've ever had barring my mum's. The staff were excellent, courteous and very helpful. Food was served without a long wait. If there was one thing that could be improved, it would probably be the rice, it didn't taste freshly cooked.

Booked last minute for a team lunch and Bill's @ Norwich were very accommodating, they manage to fit us in for the following lunch time. When we arrived table was ready and we sat down and viewed the menu, waitress took our drinks order, delivered the drinks and then took our food order. Such a varied choice with specials and offers. The food arrived shortly and was hot. We then ordered desert and another round of drinks, we were asked if we needed anything, service was excellent and food was delicious, will definitely pop back

The person who served us was incredibly friendly and patient when we took a while to order (one of our party struggled to read the menu as it was printed on pink paper with low contrast). We each ended up having a burger, one chicken and one beef and the other opting for the current special, a chilli beef. The food was tasty, satisfying both a spicy flavour seeker and picky eater, but the beef burger was missing various toppings including brisket. Drinks were also good, and it was nice to be offered a free carafe of water for the table. It was unfortunately a bit pricier than was really worthwhile, especially as we were not offered the set menu that would have reduced costs. It seems that kids eat free, which would explain why there were so many young families eating too - definitely a good (and perhaps better value) option for families with young children!

This is the first Bill’s I’ve ever been to and it’ll soon be my fifth. The service here is amazing, staff are very helpful and welcoming. They put in the effort to look out for their customers. The seating here is really comfortable, though it can be quite difficult to see when seated downstairs as the lights are so dim. The food has been hit and miss sometimes however. The burger was quite bland and not hot at all, despite eating in. And although the pancakes here are usually fluffy and delicious, I've had some here that were rock hard. However there was a grilled chicken dish which was very good, a smoked salmon dish I had during breakfast, and the desserts are really nice. And the drinks here are amazing, I recommend the Coconut Matcha or the Golden Latte. I am coming back to this place because I know which dishes to pick, and the service and atmosphere is lovely so I am looking forward to my next visit.

Nestled in the heart of Norwich, Bill's restaurant is a true gem, and my recent breakfast experience there was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, exuding a charming, cozy atmosphere perfect for a morning catch-up with friends. The menu boasted a delightful array of breakfast options, from classic dishes to innovative twists, catering to various tastes. Each dish was impeccably presented and carried a burst of fresh, flavorful ingredients, truly a testament to their commitment to quality. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff who were not only friendly but also knowledgeable about the menu, ensuring our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. What stood out the most was the impeccable quality of the food. From the perfectly cooked eggs to the freshly squeezed juices, every bite was a testament to the chef's expertise and dedication to using top-notch ingredients. The charming ambiance, coupled with the scrumptious food and outstanding service, made our visit to Bill's a memorable one. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Bill's restaurant in Norwich for anyone looking to indulge in a fantastic breakfast experience.

We're visiting Norwich and are so glad we found this place. The staff were super lovely, James made us feel right at home. We came back a second night to get more of the wedge salad. Wedge salad fan club represent. Rest of our food across the two nights (vegan burger, hippy bowl, shawarma , chocolate tart, chips, cocktails) was also amazing, great place for vegans. Number 1 hot sauce in the UK. Seriously, try the wedge salad.

My wife and I popped in for a breakfast, and although there was a very good selection of breakfast options, we went for the Full English. We were met by a very enthusiastic and polite guy who showed us to our table. The atmosphere was great, with lots of nick naks all around the place, very comfortable and very roomy. Our food and drink was absolutely amazing, the produce used was of a very high standard and the grilled tomatoes tasted just like the ones my father grew in his greenhouse, a taste I have not tasted in such a long time. I highly recommend this great, well located restaurant and we are planning an evening visit to try more of what this place offers. A great experience.

They were definitely understaffed when we came in because the service was slow. The food was nice. We had to ask a couple of times for cutlery because after finishing each part of the meal, they would take our plates with used cutlery without giving us a new set. When we ordered desserts, the expresso that we received was stone cold. It was odd that one of the waiters would sit at our table when we were ordering some drinks/more food. I don't think it's very professional. Waiters were confused about which table ordered what because during the duration of our visit, someone would bring us food/drinks which we did order and I think it happened at least 5 times. Overall, we still enjoyed our experience. However, there are some things they could improve.

Came here to run a Christmas meal for my university society. They were incredibly helpful on booking and making sure everything was set for our meal. The night was great, they said the name of the person who'd ordered each meal when brining out the food so there was no confusion on who had pre-ordered what and all allergies were catered for very well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us all too, our server All

In general the restaurant is nice with good atmosphere for a lunch but not necessarily for a romantic dinner. The vegetarian burger was very good. The chicken two ways was ok but a bit too dry. The flower pot desert looks great but I would benefit with a bit more moisture. In general nice restaurant for a quick bite.

Absolutely excellent visit last Saturday! Service was perfect, nothing was too much trouble and interacted with my stepdaughter in conversation too :) food was amazing, very tasty and lots of choice. A great place with beautiful quirky decor. We will be returning. I would highly recommend the Eton Colada dessert 🍍 🥥

Visited with another couple. Friendly staff who showed us to our table and lovely waitress. First time at Bills and would definitely recommend. The food was delicious. Had a burger and then a mini dessert. Left me very full. Photos of my friends dessert because let's face it dessert is the best! Parking is best at Castle mall as closer. Walking distance from other car parks. Decor is designed well Lots of tables and chairs.

The service is fast, staff are very polite, food wise not bad but I've seen better. When it comes to portions, they seem a bit small for my taste and for what I've paid, but this could be due to rising costs.

I want to start by saying if there were more than 5 stars I would give them for this restaurant, I would thoroughly, thoroughly recommend it for eating out in Norwich. We had booked a table for 8, all of us coming in smaller groups, from different directions in different cars and all running late! The staff couldn't have been nicer and reassured me that they understood the lateness due to Norwich's city centre parking. The service was amazing, we didn't feel rushed despite our late arrival and the food was AMAZING! There were some good veggie choices and everyone should definitely try the Bill's flower pot dessert. Staff were friendly and efficient, just great. Whatever they get paid, it isn't enough for their great service. We will definitely be coming here again.

Bills has a comfortable, shabby chic feel, the food is varied with a good range of vegetarian options. We had the Santorini salad and the chicken burger, both were well presented and tasty. Jojo looked after usvand she was fab!

Tasty food, very good service as we got a corner table - ideal place to sit with a toddler! Food is tasty full of flavour. New menu has some exquisite items like Goan fish- spices are authentic and flavoursome. Lamb steak was quite good too which my wife tried. Finished with a Bill’s flower pot which my son loved, specially when he realised he can actually eat the flower pot!

Shame previously thought food was good. Not this time. Looked much better than it tasted. Pancakes really poor. Heavy and not airy, had to ask for more syrup just try and get them down. Can't remember the last time that my son didn't clear his plate. My breakfast was disappointing which is a shame, as last time was good. This time eggs and 1 piece of bacon, over done. 1 Sausage underdone and beans just about a dessert spoon full. For the biggest breakfast on offer it fell short. Definitely better breakfasts available in Norwich. Over £50 for 3 breakfasts and a couple of drinks.

Excellent service from friendly staff. The interior decor is a combination of hipster basic and shabby chic. Works for me. Food good but a little more expensive than similar offerings.

Probably the best family meal out we've ever had! Food was fab, waiter (James) was excellent (patient, helpful, interested, understanding) and despite the ridiculously loud laughing on the next table, the atmosphere was still great. Can't fault it! My "dirty vegan" burger was lovely - even the pickle, which I usually hate!

I visited the restaurant on the Pancake day with an "all you can eat" offer. They informed us about a 30 minutes delay between each order. The pancakes, although freshly prepared, they were flat and greasy. We paid £7 for a pint of beer and £5 for a soft drink. We expected to pay £7.50 each for the pancakes and we ended up paying £30 plus the service fee, which we were not even asked for.
