Stopped here for breakfast before a hike in the forests. The diner was exceptionally clean, staff was friendly and they sell pull-tabs. I’ve never seen, nor had oysters for breakfast until trying this place. The oysters were lightly pan fried, very large and very fresh. I’d definitely recommend it if you are an adventurous eater, like myself. It truly made Olympia unforgettable.

First time dining here. We wanted some breakfast food and someone recommended this place to us. We arrived on a Sunday morning around 10 am. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but you couldn't tell by how busy it was inside. Luckily for us, there were two seats available at the bar which we quickly accepted. The place had an old school feel of a classic diner. We had a view of several pull tab containers filled with potential cash prizes of up to $1,000! We came here specifically for breakfast, but upon looking at their extensive menu, there were many options for lunch and dinner items as well. I went with the Mega Chicken Fried Streak meal. It came with crispy hash browns. three eggs, and toast. We waited for almost 15 min before our food was served which wasn't too bad considering how busy it was. The portions were huge, as I was only able to finish half of my delicious meal. I happily took the rest home for a later snack. Our service was great and our server checked on us often and kept our coffee cups filled. We will definitely come back!

A Cozy Little Diner. It's a nice place. This honestly feels cozy. The price for food is not very expensive. The most pricey thing I noticed was $18. The average price for meals was about $13. I had shrimp & chips, again $13, which is a very good price. The taste of the food was great. The black coffee I ordered was very good as well, it wasn't too light or too dark. The tables were clean. There was nothing that looked dirty. The floor is a nice brown mixed tile. The seats were comfortable. There is plenty of seating as well. The waitress was very respectful and polite. She would call the people who came in ladies and gentlemen. I was greeted as gentleman from her as well. I was asked if I wanted more coffee after I was finished either for dine in or for the road. I was pleasantly surprised by that offer. I did end up taking my coffee for the road, which was lovely. I will say my experience was way better than I was expecting, and I will be returning here.

My toys were pretty hard and I don't believe my burger was done at all. It's our 8year anniversary and we just wanted a nice dinner meal. Update- my wife shared her with our pup and both are having bathroom issues, as good as it looked I knew not to finish mine!

Served raw turkey on 7/28/2022. See photo. Manager wanted me to bring it back for a refund, after making us wait 30 minutes for a to-go order that should have been ready when we arrived. I really liked this place when I moved in nearby a year ago, but it’s awful now. They are constantly getting orders wrong, using random ingredients on things that don’t list them (menu), and the wait times are getting wild. You have too much stuff on your menu for your servers and cooks to memorize. The amount of prep and work to maintain a menu that large is ruining your business and pushing customers like us away. PS. To the manager I spoke with - you act extremely rude whenever we have asked for a partial refund. Multiple times we’ve brought our food home to find it’s inedible. Undercooked meat, things DRENCHED in mayo, and more. You treat us like we are scammers or something, until we show you the food to your face. The truth is, you and your staff are screwing up SO OFTEN, that it’s made you paranoid. Why do you act friendly and familiar when we are paying, but then change when it comes to correcting your mistakes? This isn’t the first time this has happened, yet you act like that every time. Obviously, we won’t be coming back.

Our experience here was great. Martin Way was a true diner and the staff were very friendly and welcoming even early in the morning. The food was good and fast and they had an extensive menu. We would return for breakfast! We felt like taking a trip back to the 1990s eating here. It was a great atmosphere with pristine bathrooms which were very clean. There was ample parking. Enough options for anyone to eat. Not too far from the state capitol building and other businesses.

Great food, decent prices. Wait staff was very efficient and professional. Classic diner, can't go wrong. Had the bacon cheeseburger and my friend had the Martin Way scramble, we both left full and happy.

Well let me say this first. Their breakfast are the best thing around the county. Their fish & chips used to be the best in all of the Olympic US 101 loop. But since COVID they are no longer fresh cut cod . They look smaller and maybe frozen. But their fries still rock. Hopefully soon we will get the fresh cod and the all you can eat fish & chips.

This place always satisfies our breakfast cravings. My family enjoys this place. I have heard a lot of negative things about this place, whether it be a certain political or racial leaning, etc, (Look it up, there are plenty of posts on various platforms.) I have never had an issue. When I was new to Olympia, the place did seem like another world for me, being from Los Angeles. But this place wins. It's a real diner, it serves real food, and the service has always been cheery, friendly, and the food is fantastic. They are not afraid to use a little seasoning, and they are not serving health food either I wouldn't the heavier dishes every day, but they do offer lighter fare as well. There are amazing options on the menu like a hangtown fry, and oyster shooters as well as all the traditional breakfast (I have not been in for lunch). I just want to say that as I got used to the complexion of Olympia, this place became my breakfast home. I was wary, but they really knock it out of the park. They are open when they say they will be, which makes them reliable. They are also open early (7am weekdays, 6 on weekends) and just have that very homey, traditional American feel that I was looking for. This place is in my top 3 locations for breakfast in the South Sound area.

By the time we left I was so satisfied and happy to have eaten here, I didn’t snap any pics of the surroundings. But this is the real deal place for your core memory breakfast cravings. Biscuits are the best, the gravy was perfect, and the eggs and pancakes are what you expect, and, deserve. So, go, sip coffee while eating, and relax in the unhurried atmosphere of friendly staff.

EXCELLENT FOOD & SERVICE! What a wonderful place to stop and grab breakfast on our road trip to Bend, Oregon. It's your best bet in grabbing some freshly cooked food at reasonable pricing with a downhome attitude and appreciation for cleanliness and hospitality. The ladies taking care of the patrons are truly caring and by the number of locals that dropped in while we were there, you can tell this is go-to for a great number of them. On our next run through Olympia we will be certain to stop and enjoy the experience all over again!!! Thank you "Martin Way Diner", you made us smile!

The food is good and you get a lot for a reasonable costs. I gave them a 1 because of the comments I overheard from a server. A customer stepped in and he stayed by the entrance glancing around the restaurant. Server told him to sit wherever and he said he was meeting a friend and just wanted to see if he was there yet. She said well obviously he isn't here. This was not loud enough for the customer to hear, but my husband and I did. The comment was snarky and uncalled for. When we had walked in the restaurant, we too had waited to be acknowledged before sitting. The server ignored us and was busy talking with a guy in the kitchen. After a couple of minutes, the guy told the server we were waiting. She said something to him, then turned and told us we could sit anywhere. Can't help but think she had a snarky comment about us.

A very popular place because the food is excellent. On weekends be prepared to wait a bit for a breakfast table. But so worth the wait! I ordered the Build Your Own omelet with onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, avocado and pepper jack cheese. It was over the top!

Martin Way diner was pretty busy which is a good sign. The food was good. We had the pancakes and I ordered a side of biscuits and gravy and a fruit cup. The biscuits were soft and the gravy was smooth and delicious. They do not have dairy free creamers for coffee but the coffee was plentiful. I would say it’s a good stop for good diner food.

Excellent breakfast. We arrived at 6:45 am and by 6:55am there were already 5 groups waiting at the door. You know it has to be worth the wait, lucky we waited. My son had the full county fried steak meal! I had several bites and the reviews are right, the gravy is great. I had the oysters, but I wish I had the 1/2 order of the country fried steak!

What a great place! If you enjoy the easygoing way of life and good hearty food you belong here. To start Sarah is a great waitress. Drinks, dinner dessert, coffee check her timing was impeccable. The food was hearty and tasted amazing! The French dip bread was crispy on the inside. Good stuff! Had pumpkin pie after dinner. My goodness is was great and nearly twice the size of a piece from Shari's. It is very chill with oldies playing. I got the special(top sirloin with fries and salad $13.99) take out for my SO and he really enjoyed it, especially the pumpkin pie! Will be back soon!

This place was so great. I took my 3 year old and you can see by the picture how excited she was with her "Minnie Mouse" pancake. Staff were super friendly, made my daughter feel special as we sat at the counter, and the food was super good. I got the meatloaf sandwich and it was amazing. Just an awesome neighborhood diner that we need to make sure stays around for a long time.

They have good food. We glad we stopped there instead of going to big chain diner. We ordered their Martin way special and breakfast sandwich. We like how they cook the bacon. There were lot of people but they have a big space too. Recommended place to eat!

It's a diner. There was nothing that made it stand out from any other diners. Food and service were both good. I have no complaints.

Absolutely delicious food and cheerful staff. My husband and I will come back again, and again, and again... and not just for the breakfast. Highly recommend their lunch and dinner items as well.

Absolutely love this diner! They have the best French Toast around... even better than fancier restaurants that charge significantly higher. Highly recommend!

Everything I look for in a dinner. Friendly service, with good food and coffee. even though they were busy my order came out pretty quickly. I sat at the counter & spent some time talking to the people next to me who ended up being regulars. I even had the opportunity of speaking with the owner as he was changing the ink for the printer. He was very helpful and friendly gentleman. All n all a great experience.

We came this way for a wedding and stopped in at this cute little diner. Shawna was our server and was awesome! Food was good and mimosa hit the spot!

Just what we was looking for an old style breakfast diner with friendly staff and good food. Staying with family nearby and this place was recommended for food to get rid of our jet lag. Copious amounts a coffee as our cups was refilled. Service was excellent and pandered to my English eccentricities. Food was excellent and just what we needed. Will be back soon

Excellent food, excellent service. Very friendly folk. They're always happy to make substitutions and are very accommodating. Every time we are in the area, we try to eat at Martin's Diner. You won't be disappointed.

Such a great diner experience with great staff and great food, we went here after a movie, you seat yourself at an open booth and they will come to you with menus. The prices are pretty standard. I love their burgers, fries and their fry sauce. You also have the option of tots if you prefer. But I like their homestyle fries myself
