I am giving 5 stars because this place is a hidden gem. Not really hidden just small unassuming and just one of those places that when you walk in a smell the great food and see only 10 tables your mouth starts watering. I can't spell some of the dishes we all shared but the stand outs were spicy pork ,fried rice some kind of amazing hot soup. The best things there were new to me sorry even spell check can't help . Reasonable prices great service clean and quiet and food I can't stop thinking about what's not to like.

I love this place!! The food is beautiful and delicious, and the staff is so phenomenal. They have great vegetarian options which isn’t always easy for Korean food. Everything is well priced. The dolsut bibimbap is also a large portion, but I was able to eat every scrap. Highly reccomend!!!

Excellent authentic Korean food, fast and friendly service. The kimchi pancake appetizer was very tasty (and huge!) and the japchae was seriously delicious comfort food. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Was the only one dining. I didn't mind it was an absolutely amazing meal and at under $30 it truly checked all the boxes. Definitely a place you should make an effort to try. The Spicy Pork Bulgogi didn't disappoint

Very good food but a little pricey. I won’t say I know the competitions prices but compared to other restaurants the food is pricey. It cost us $77 for 3 people. We enjoyed the food and had left overs. We will be visiting again infrequently.

The food was SO GOOD. There was one person working in the front, taking orders, serving, taking payments, but it wasn't crowded and we were seated right away. The ambiance is nothing to write home about, we saw quite a few people picking up to-go orders, but I HIGHLY recommend dining in because they serve you the food while it's still cooking in the cast iron bowls. The food was piping hot and flavorful, they had to roll everything out on a dolly because there were so many accompanying sides like kimchi and pickled cucumbers to add. The portions were generous and you could tell the food was made with love. The rice at the bottom was a little crispy because it continues to cook while you eat...perfection.

This is our favorite Korean place of all time, and can’t recommend it enough!! Having been to Korea many times and love all Korean food, I can say that the flavor here is very authentic and hard to find here👌 The place gets crowded during peak hours, and service can be a bit slow, but definitely worth the wait! The waitress is very friendly and always made us feel super welcome ❤️ Our go-to orders: - Seafood pancake - Beef tofu soup - Spicy BBQ pork

Absolutely on point with everything I have tried. I love Korean food and after living in the Federal Way area, began to miss it after moving to Olympia. My biggest obsession has always been the fried chicken and rice. Easily the best and most iconic Korean dish that comes to mind and the easiest to screw up. Hotstone makes an amazing fried chicken with a house made sauce that keeps me coming back again and again. I have tried a few of their other dishes which are also good and I will continue to add reviews as I eat through their menu. Service is always terrific and everyone has been helpful and friendly.

After living in South Korea for a year, this restaurant truly was the closest to Korea. I always ordered the spicy BBQ pork and beef tofu combo with a side of seafood pancake (haemol pajeon). I came to eat here 2-3 times per month - sometimes more.

Super delicious Korean food. The actual stone bowls are a lovely touch. Food came out bubbling hot and fresh. Great, fast service but did not feel rushed. Will be back!

Delicious traditional Korean. I love trying different cultural foods & this was so much better than I've found in the Seattle area. Brought my less adventurous sister with me and she really liked the Tteokbokki. Yum!

Great food with a wonderful owner older lady that helped serve us. Food was delicious and plenty most of us could not finish it and took it back with us. Only reason one star down, she was too busy to make us bubble tea on time. I guess they are short on help. My kids loved it so did my wife.

HotStone is the best option for Korean food in Thurston County, period! Every time I come here it's an amazing meal, quickly served and the barchan just keeps coming! The kimchi is superb and I always reccommend the bulgogi! There. The secret's out. I park right out front and gawk at the O-Town funk passing by. HOT FIRE!!! 감사합니다!!!

This has to be one of my go to dinner choices in the downtown area. The food is always so good and never over seasoned. Any of the soups really hit the spot on a cold winter day. I’ll always be coming back for more!

Put off dining here for a year and I shouldn’t have. The Yuk Gae Jang was excellent with well balanced spice level and a nice earth flavor.

Holy F. This has to be the best food I've had in a very long time, I had the basic sweet n sour chicken the wings, and egg rolls and fried dumplings. Again.. Holy F. I have to try EVERYTHING on that menu. And the woman so like walking into your aunties or grandma's house the energy the smell the smile and kind and actually genuine hello. I'm born and raised here and love these little hole in the wall joints. Absolulive it should have tried it sooner for sure!!!

If you're looking for authentic Korean food that's perfectly seasoned, you'll be into this place. Free delicious kimchi. Highly recommend the bulgogi and Japchae. This restaurant isn't super fancy in decor and it's a little slower (lunch took 1.25 hours) because it's a mom and pop type of place. Worth the wait though! It can be a pricey meal but portions are large. I'd feel comfortable bringing kids here.

Delicious food and wonderful service. Wanted to try everything on the menu, will be going back. Had the Bi Bim Bap with beef, the sauce had a little kick but it was served on the side.

Pricey, but you get a ton of food and great flavors! I ordered the pork bulgogi and was blown away by how good it was. Delivers well too! I'll definitely order from them again.

Nice little Korean food spot in downtown Olympia. Got the spicy pork bulgogi and the taste was absolutely amazing. Truly brought back memories of being in South Korea and eating amazing pork bulgogi. Great atmosphere and service.

As we walked in we almost walked out, this was a Friday night, about 7, no people in the restaurant. No alcohol. We decided to give it a try. Let's say upfront that the atmosphere needs improvement, it's dead quiet in there, the walls need paint. That all said the food was ample and delicious, and served in a " Hotstone" our service was a sweet woman. After a time the place began to fill. After dinner we went to the bar next door to curb our cravings and was told by several regulars that Hotstone was the bomb......who knew?

Cute korean spot in downtown Olympia. Food tasted good, small but perfect assortment of banchan to accompany the main dish. I ordered a bulgolgi bibimbap in a hot stone, but there was some confusion and I ended up with just bulgogi and rice in a hot stone. Still yummy but missed the veggies. The hot stone wasn't horrible enough to sear the rice, but other wise this was great. A fun little spot that is great a casual date, or meal with friends. It's steps away from a park so you can walk off the meal.

Hot stone is the best restaurant in Olympia! I come here when ever I can to get food. I’ve tried most of the things on the menu and I can say I haven’t had anything that was bad. The dumpling soup and beef bulgogi are my top favorites. The waitress is always very kind and it’s a very welcoming restaurant! Recommend to anyone to come here and eat

This place definitely has good authentic Korean food. Their beef bulgogi and spicy pork was really good. However, they have very limited side dishes. The portions are relatively small for the price they charge. I pay $26 for the beef bulgogi and a hot stone tofu soup.
