We were looking for good dim sum and we were not disappointed. The crab Rangoons are some of the best I've had. The pork fried bao buns with their sauce were just what we were looking for. They were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the pork pot stickers, pork bao bun (both fried and steamed), and the crab Rangoons; with a green tea. We were told food would be prepared freshly to order - food was so quick and delicious!! The food is definitely prepared as you order, it was very hot when it came out but we couldn't resist the flavor and smell of it all. Our total was only $35! Very reasonable pricing. Only thing missing was the people!! We definitely recommend.

Tried this place for the first time with friends after seeing it online, super good! We tried the steamed and fried Baos, chicken dumpling noodle soup, scallion pancakes. Overall, everything was delicious! Definitely will be back!

While it was a pick up order of a couple different bao, a soup, and egg rolls.. My experience going in the restaurant was very pleasant. I was greeted immediately when I came through the door. Staff happily explained a few things on the menu that I asked about. And, as a wheelchair user, staff happily helped me with my food to my car. It was all delicious. Will definitely return.

We were OVERCHARGED and had to deal with an ANTAGONISTIC worker with a language barrier (no shame in having a language barrier, but if you need help, get it! Don’t screw over your customers!!!) who charged us for twice what we ordered and then didn’t even deliver what we ordered! It was an unethical NIGHTMARE! The dumplings and bao are delicious (not the red bean bao…that one unfortunately does have the texture of microwaved bread but the others are really great) and if the younger employees are taking the order then it’ll probably be okay, but if you can’t just order without there being an issue what’s the point?! You can be antagonistic, mess up my order, OR overcharge (steal from) me and I might not get angry. BUT you don’t get to do all 3!!!! A decent business wouldn’t be doing ANY!

Very nice spot. Friendly woman behind the counter helped us make solid choice on food selection as it was our first time visiting. We had Pork Fried Bao, Crab Rangoon and pork dumpling noodle soup. I must say the Rangoon had solid crab flavor to it but my favorite had to be the soup. Delicious broth. I would definitely visit again to try other menu options.

I got their pork dumpling soup! Good lord was it filling! I love how thick the dough was on the dumpling but had plenty of meat and veggies on the inside! And the broth, was personally my favorite part! It was rich and hearty and made you feel all warm on the inside! Definitely go hungry when you order this! The staff were super polite and kind! The only thing I had an issue with was the atmosphere, they just have a tv playing sports. Personally not my thing. But overall I gotta come back and try more things!

Ugh I wanted sooo bad to love this place unfortunately there was just too many things wrong with our first experience we won’t be back. First of all, we ordered a lot of crab Rangoon & was given 2 packets of bad sweet & sour (technically it was cheap duck sauce) so we couldn’t finish those and they were just ok. Next, ALL of our bao buns had literally a teaspoon of meat in each. We were left throwing away the bread part. There was also supposed to be scallions on our potstickers and there was none. Finally and worse of all were were so excited to try the custard bao buns after having them before in New York I couldn’t wait to get some here. Wrong. They were hard in the center and tasted like they had been sitting for a long time. The custard (supposed to be creamy) had hardened! I am just hoping I don’t get sick from that last bite. So now I’m back to wishing for a descent bao bun place in Omaha.

We ordered 5 different dishes and everything was so delicious. The texture of the taro bao is one of the most satisfying ever. Semi sweet with the spicy sauce... perfect. The chicken dumpling soup feels like comfort food. Beef and pork options were good as well.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hip Bao recently, and overall, I found the food enjoyable. I opted for the chicken and beef bao and the vegetable noodles. The bao was pleasantly warm and soft, but the small bits of meat inside did not quite meet my expectations. I felt that the ratio of meat to dough was a bit off, and I would have preferred more filling. As for the veggie noodles, I found them to be quite bland, with a disappointing vegetable-to-noodle ratio. Even with the addition of sauces, the dish did not come to life, and the veggies did not contribute much to the overall flavor. I plan on returning to try some of their other bao and noodle options. However, the veggie noodles, in particular, were a bit lackluster for my taste. The price was fair compared to other restaurants.

💯 💯 💯 Absolutely love this place. We've been back 4+ times since first discovering 6 months ago. Love how easy it is to order online and pick up, food is still hot and fresh by the time I get home (about 20 minutes away) For two people + leftovers, we order 12-18 bao (choice of meats, one steamed, one fried) and a noodle/dumpling to share. Huge fan of the scallion pancakes, usually a free addition to our order 🥰 Hard to find anything like it anywhere else; Omaha is very lucky to have you!

Decided to try Hip Bao on a whim after craving dumplings. Ordered 2 dumpling orders and the beef Beijing noodles. Both were absolutely delicious, but the beef Beijing noodles really surprised me. So flavorful and unlike anything I have ever had before. I will definitely be coming here again.

I like the Bao but they were not what I was expecting. Some of the flavor was a little bland. The sauce was what saved the whole experience. I recommend eating the bao with the sauce. The fried bao was better but you have to eat it fresh. Saving it for the next day won't be as good. I ended liking the sweet bao more than the meat bao. I also tried the beef noodles and that was surprisingly good so give the noodles a taste.

The lady running the counter (maybe owner) was very nice and helps us pick a few items to try. It was my first time trying bao! Everything was absolutely amazing. I will be back. Thank you!

Since I can’t get soup dumplings at any restaurant in Omaha then I’ll have these! I had steamed pan-fried pork dumplings. Filling was tasty, complex and juicy, encased in pillowy goodness. Ate them there, fresh to order, and they came with a terrific dipping sauce. Very nice lady who took my order and brought the food.

Food was made fresh after we ordered and it was so delicious. Only thing that put me off was they had two small children in the dining area doing school work and the older one, I'd say around 10 years old, was taking orders and waiting tables! I felt sorry this kid had to do this but he was the sweetest and most polite kid.

Everytime I visit Omaha I come to Hip Bao. The food is always hot and tastes so fresh. I very much enjoy the juicy pork potstickers and pork egg rolls. I noticed they added crab Rangoon to the menu so I gave those a try recently and was not disappointed. They were fantastic. I've also tried the noodle soups and they are amazing when the weather is a bit chilly. Overall a fantastic place to grab a bite

Such a good place to finally try Bao. Loved the Steamed Pork Bao, juicy pork dumplings and crab Rangoon all made fresh. Definitely will go again to try the noodle dishes.
