I enjoyed the food here, but the prices were high for what we got. With a tip, the pictured food was $37, which isn't a very good deal in my opinion. However, the atmosphere was very nice and pleasant. If it was priced more reasonably, I would definitely return in the future. I understand that it's difficult for restaurants to make it in times of inflation. The waitress was kind and did a great job.

Had a birthday dinner here recently. Made a reservation, was given a tiny table against the wall but oh well; they asked us if it was okay and i should have said something but didn't. The server was really nice and helpful. We had pretzel crusted cheese curds but all the appetizers looked amazing. The curds were a little overcooked and on the greasy side, but the flavor was great. My partner had the chicken sandwich which he said was good. I had the beef medallions and they were cooked perfectly. I loved my food. Best green beans I've ever had for sure. It's great when all the food on the plate is good! Will be back for sure.

We went here on a weeknight. The staff were great. We had the cheese curds for an appetizer and we loved them! The entrees included the salmon dish, another fish entree and a chicken with thick noodles dish. The presentation was beautiful. Overall, my dinner mates loved their fish dishes and my noodles with chicken, but overall I felt the flavors were not spot on. My pasta dish was bland and had asparagus ends that should have been cut off. However the drinks were great and the peppermint chocolate cheesecake was delicious! We all enjoyed that! I tried to even the stars among all aspects of the restaurant and the reviews of my dinner mates and me. We will stop back again in the future most likely.

Railcar sits in a small complex next to a gas station off of Blondo and 144th west Omaha. The food here was pretty good, it's an ecclectic American mix. Some of the menu items are questionable. For instance I got some southwestern themed pot roast with a "Death Valley style sauce". Look I've been to death valley and there's nothing there. I really doubt it has any sort of culinary influence or culture. The pot roast was good though, spicy. I got lobster hush puppies which seemed to have the lobster sort of spread around in a dish around the hush puppies which didn't seem to contain any lobster themselves. For dessert I got a "cronut sundae" which was actually just these fried churro puffs with a scoop of vanilla icing in the middle. I feel like I would have got the Latvian tort or tart if I could choose again because the server was really excited telling me about it. Also, if you order port there the bartender may not now how to ring it up right and charge you six bucks for a wine glass of pretty good port :).

The chicken schnitzel was amazing! The mashed potatoes were a little colder than I would expect. The service was superb and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. Had the mashed potatoes been warmer, I would have given 5 stars.

Our experience here was stellar! Their service is really good, and the food is delicious. The menu has some really unique options, and some "simpler" ones like a burger (with amazing toppings), ribs, and tacos, all of which my family got. All of it was amazing. It's not the cheapest place to eat, but that's expected with the quality of the food. Gluten free buns are an option, and they have their gluten free items marked on the menu. Cool traincar-oriented atmosphere, too. Just eat here, you'll love it!

We tried Railcar for the first time this morning for brunch. Drink prices are very fair and include bottomless options for just 15 dollars. My girlfriend got the Nutella French Toast and loved it and I got the Griddled Prime Rib ( they ran out and subbed Ribeye). The Steak was under seasoned but tender, and the rest of the dish was fantastic. Overall we will be back soon. Three weekends in a row eating at Railcar. The chicken club is BOMB.

This spot was recommended by a local friend and it did not disappoint! After a long week of being on the road and hiking, my husband and I treated ourselves to a meal out. Great food, service and beer!

Went on Saturday around 1:30, and was given a brunch menu with limited options. Food was good, but nothing spectacular. Felt like it was trying to be a upscale version of something it wasn't. Willing to try it again some other time.

In a word: FANTASTIC. Our server was awesome, very attentive, and offered the awesome suggestion to start with the Thai Chicken Flatbread. We were here for my husband’s 40th birthday and the food was incredible. Also ordered: schnitzel and the steak/shrimp.

OUTSTANDING! I was a bit thrown when we were asked if we had breakfast reservations. After eating I completely understood why. The food is artfully delicate a beyond delicious! I selected the Pileup. My husband selected the Chicken Fried Ribeye. And we ordered 1 lemon juice pancake. Perfect service, perfect breakfast, we'll be back for more!

After reading all of the recent bad reviews I was a little skeptical about going here but thought why not give it a try. My boyfriend and I made reservations. We arrived and we’re sat down immediately. We both ordered the French onion soup and prime rib special. We both loved the soup! The prime was alright, just a little dry and lacked flavor. I would not get it again but would be open to try other items on the menu. Our waitress was excellent. We will give it another try.

A favorite location of mine. I haven't found a dish that I don't like and the bartender always keeps things lively.

We came with a group for lunch on a Saturday! It wasn’t very busy, nice and quiet atmosphere. Service was great! Food was even better. If you haven’t eaten here yet definitely move it to the top of your list for places to try!

Stopped here while visiting Omaha. Wonderful, friendly staff and delicious lunch! We had the burger, salad, cheese curds, and the turkey smash. Would get all again!! Our waitress, Maggie, was the sweetest. A man named Scott also checked on us during our lunch.

We had an amazing dinner experience at Railcar!! We have had their brunch several times and this time my husband and I decided to try it out for dinner. I called ahead of time and they were able to give me an adequate wait time. Once we arrived they promptly seated us. We asked if they had espresso martinis, and while they aren’t listed on the menu our waitress kindly offered to make them for us! Talk about going above and beyond! They were delicious! Definitely one of the best in all of Omaha! My husband got the prime rib and I got the salmon. WOW -the flavor in the salmon was incredible!! The prime rib was cooked to perfection and quite a large portion. Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. When we left another gentleman thanked us by name after only mentioning our name once to the waitress. It was lovely to go to a place that provides such excellent customer service. Again, fabulous experience! We will be back!

I wanted to like this restaurant a lot, as it came highly recommended. But my experience wasn't what I had hoped for. I ordered the Pasta Saltimbocca, and my husband ordered the Pork Schnitzel. We both got drinks, and the cheese curds to share. My chicken was really good, but the rest of the dish was not as good in comparison. We were big fans of the cheese curds. The pretzel crust was a great touch, and the dipping sauce was absolutely delicious! My husband also got the shrimp and crab bisque with his meal and it was amazing!! However, 45 minutes after we order our food, we are told there is no more pork schnitzel. By this time, a table of 4 next to us had been seated, ordered, ate, paid and left. My husband eventually ordered the Beer Cheese Mac. Both of our plates were served at the same time. Our total came to $116 with tip. Between service miscommunication and lack of enthusiasm with our entrees, we both felt pretty underwhelmed with our experience here, and will probably only be back for drinks/appetizers in the future.

My family used to love this restaurant. We go once a month. The last few times we have been disappointed. The service isn't as attentive and the food seems to have gone downhill. Recently my daughter and I both had the ribs and they were chewy. They recently remodeled which looked nice. Just hoping there isn't new owners and/or chef. It will be a while before we go back and hopefully its better or we unfortunately will not come back. I rarely write reviews, but I would want to know this if I just moved to Omaha and was looking for a nice restaurant.

We had a lovely first time at Railcar. The food was great, especially the cheese curds and honey mustard - but also the tuna, beer cheese and Mac, and pork schnitzel - and service was just the right mix of helpful and attentive (thanks Jake!). We'll be back.

Loved the Railcar! Had a mango mimosa which might be might new favorite flavor! For brunch I tried the Farmstead Melt and it was delicious. They have a house gravy was super tasty and bacon sausage that I had never heard of (but is apparently a thing lol) and it was great! The service was wonderful as well! Will definitely be going back despite the fact that it's all the way across town. Worth the drive!

If I could give zero I would. Horrible customer service. We just had to leave. I never walk out like that. Didn’t touch the drinks or nothing just go. I asked for a straw and the server practically looked like I was bothering him. He was so kind to the table behind us though. Not to mention the way he spoke to my Pastor when he asked for coffee with creamer. He said we don’t have flavored coffee. No one asked about flavored coffee. Coffee is black right? Cream or sugar. If there was a clear option for flavored coffee I’m sure we would of asked if that was offered. Then didn’t bring a spoon or anything to stir with. And the creamer was milk in a small ramekin that’s used for sauces. Once ordering there were questions on how to meat could be prepared. Well done medium you know. He responded it says it’s done. And about the salmon as well. He said it says salmon on there so it’s salmon. Came to celebrate and felt so unwelcome for walking in. I never complain but it ruined a special afternoon. Looks like I should of read the bad reviews first. Wanted to try a new place. Nope.

Good food and great atmosphere. Our server Eric was both friendly and attentive to our needs. We ordered the Pile Up and the Chicken Waffle. Both were delicious and filling.

They need to list all spices that goes into or on the food. My best friend is highly allergic to cinnamon. We had to hurry up and get out of there get benadryl in her system. He through waa on fire and her stomach hurt then headaches. Other than that food is great!

Came the day before New Year's and the atmosphere seemed off. Everyone was talking about their plans for the next day and not really paying attention to their surroundings. I understand it’s a work place, but during my entire meal, all I heard was about how the restaurant should operate the following day. The food was hit and miss. The tomato bacon bread was very impressive - the best thing I had at Railcar. My wife also liked her Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. It was cooked well and had a lot of flavor - I would recommend it. On the other hand, the cheese curds were very mediocre - they were not really seasoned and were served with honey mustard. The Shrimp and Crab Bisque had a similar unseasoned, almost bland taste. Lastly, the Pasta Saltimbocca was very disappointing. The broccolini was not cooked and was very tough, which made the dish unenjoyable. I would also say that the rest of the dish was bland. Overall, the food is hit and miss. The staff are friendly when they serve you

The food was so good! Our waitress, Maggie, was attentive and knowledgeable. My husband and I both agree that the 'show stopper' of our evening was the Brussels Sprouts!

Railcar happy hour was great! The staff were extremely friendly and the food was tasty. We'll be going back as they have an extensive happy hour menu, comfy atmosphere and again the service was super awesome.

My wife, son, and I happened to stop in at 12:30pm on a Saturday so we ordered from the brunch menu. We were just wanting something different and saw this place near on a quick google map search. We were seated immediately and the food came out quick and hot. The Railcar doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is a very clean, nice almost upscale but still comfy place. The food was excellent. I got the chicken waffles and they were amazing!!! Definitely homeade and large portions. My wife had the Florentine with crab cakes with a Mimosa. She loved it!!! My son had the Farmer's Sandwich breakfast and ate it all happily. I would highly recommend the Railcar and am looking forward to returning when in Omaha again. Oh, and the guy serving us was probably one of the best waiters I've had anywhere. My wife made me leave an extra large tip.
