Enjoyed a rare opportunity to catch happy hour at Twisted Cork this afternoon. We were regaled, as we have come to expect, with excellent service, food and drink. Bonus happy hour pricing on our favorites. Elysian Space Dust IPA, beef slider, Juan de Fuco taco and Fairy Nectar IPA. Love the ginger ketchup with the slider. Nice touch propping the taco with a lime.

Went there for dinner a few weeks back. It was extremely noisy and hard to have a conversation at the table. Food was decent but quite expensive. Having lived in the Pacific Northwest the past 50 years, we thought there might be a better selection of food from that part of the country....but it seemed to us that it was mostly in the selection of Northwest wines. Service was slow, so the waiter comped us desserts. Nice, but still won't convince us to return.

Ok, so I don’t wish to be dramatic…but this place is so awesome!!! The food is fresh, sources in an eco-conscious way that is environmentally friendly. The service is so prompt and the waiter was very willing to answer questions about the various menu items and their nutritional content. Now for the ground truth…the price…so very reasonable and in most cases less than a chain restaurant. This establishment, owned by a couple from Seattle in the heart of America in Omaha, Nebraska. I have to admit, I did chuckle about the guests at nearby table talking Nebraska Cornhusker football. Bottom line…this is a great restaurant!

This is not gonna be the only time I go to this restaurant. They are outstanding! And the chef is superb. You're gonna go to this place and end up going here once a week. It's just that good.. I think we sampled be sampled several of the best dishes and just need to go back to try it all!! Presentation, taste, customer service was just incredible!! I'm gonna have to thank my friend Devin for taking me here! If he didn't, I would have never tried this gem of an eattery!!

A cute bistro. Food is listed with the suppliers they use on the menu. Their burger I had was supposed to be number 1 for Nebraska at one point. It was ok but not my personal favorite. It was served with chips that my friend really liked (not made in house we were told) and coleslaw with what looked like blue cheese on top. My friends dish was much more appealing. It was a blue Marlin. She remarked upon the pan Pacific dishes. They look like they have a lot of interesting choices that I would like to try in the future. Wine menu was quite extensive. Service was friendly and helpful. Their caramel for the cheese cake was exceptional. The pistachio is very subtle. It's just a slight sprinkling of real crushed pistachio.

This restaurant tries to sell itself as upscale. It is not. The price per person was way too high for what we got. The ambience was NOISE. My husband got the mussels appetizer and NW seafood boil. Both were good, but expensive. The salmon entree was good, but way too costly for what it was. The pork chop was a real disappointment. Dry and overcooked. Thankfully the wine was good and we went thru 2 bottles. They should present as a Bistro and lower the prices, that would be fine. But upscale, it ain't. Oh, BTW, no bread while waiting, UNLESS YOU PAY FOR IT! Not only are they over priced, but they charge you extra for most everything!!, Bread, sauces, etc. Even the cheapest Mexican restaurant gives you FREE chips and salsa!

Twisted Cork Bistro is a restaurant in Omaha, Nebraska, that serves local, natural food, handcrafted ales, spirits and wines from the Pacific Northwest. The menu features a variety of dishes, including appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. I recently visited Twisted Cork Bistro with my wife for a date night, and we had a great experience. We started with the Crying Crackers appetizer, which was a delicious combination of Piedmontese flank steak, cucumber, pistachio, fiery Jaew sauce, kimchi, and rice crackers. This was our favorite item on the menu, and it was our first time trying kimchi. We really loved it. For dinner, we had the Prairie Fire flank steak, which is a nine-ounce sliced flank steak with an espresso-cayenne rub, grilled medium rare. The steak comes with fingerling potatoes, apple slaw, and whiskey glaze Granny Smith apples with cinnamon. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the flavors were amazing. We also had the colossal sea scallops, which were cooked perfectly and served with charred Brussels, pistachio gremolata, and rice. The scallops were incredibly tender and flavorful, and the charred Brussels were a nice touch. To compliment our meal we enjoyed a bottle of one of the Pacific Northwest wines. The Hedges Family Cabernet Sauvignon did not disappoint. The wine was full-bodied and flavorful, with notes of dark berries, cocoa, and cinnamon. It paired perfectly with the steak and scallops. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Twisted Cork Bistro. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Omaha.

Food was tasty. Portion size for the Sockeye Salmon was small, but my husband loved the tacos! The nachos and popovers were divine. We'd definitely go back, especially since their seafood is flown in fresh every 24 hours!

I gave it 4 stars, need a little more lighting and pictures along the brick hallway area where we were sitting at a small table. Other then that, food was delicious and wine was tasty!

Excellent seafood, my husband didn’t love his steak. Great service! Nice atmosphere and location is convenient.

Pretty weak. Appetizer came out after the main course. My wife’s soup came out before main course but multiple requests were not enough to produce a spoon to eat it with. Server bemoaned being “confused” by our order (really... soup appetizer and dinner) came for a nice simple dinner from a proven winner, and left frustrated, hungry and sad. Wish we had just ordered pizza on Uber.

I’ve traveled all over the country, but this is by far one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I’ve never eaten a meal that tasted so natural / local in my life. A must visit. (burger, bison app, salmon tacos)

First time here, service was excellent and the food was fabulous! It's not cheap to eat here but definitely not overpriced for what you get. I had the fish and shrimp rice bowl (can't remember the name) and my daughter had the Twisted Bahn Mi (with pork belly), both were extremely tasty...

Waitress was rude after we attempted to order three different things on menu that they said they didn't have. Food was cold by time they brought it out and proportions were very small. I understand that those two things normally come with upscale cuisine but the quality was sub par and does not fit bill here. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

So this used to be a favorite place of us and our family. After re-opening we tried to go there twice when they were open and not taking reservations and were turned away. Tonight we made a reservation on open table, giving them a third chance. I was beside myself that we walked in through the unlocked door and the hostess stated they were closed. Hostess blamed it on open table. That's taking responsibility...not! I considered this a gem of a restaurant years ago, I reviewed it and said something about how I didn't want to review it so well because others would find out our secret. Well, three strikes and YOU'RE OUT! Sorry, it simply doesn't matter how good your food is if you never let us in the door.

  • 1/5 Brent C. 1 year ago on Google
Had a reservation for early in the evening. Arrived and they wanted to seat us about at a small two-top table immediately behind the host that was a foot away from another. It was pretty empty so we asked for a different table and were told the others were reserved. After sitting briefly, we walked out and will not be back. The food may be phenomenal but haven’t been treated that way in a long time. Ended up at Pacific Eating House which was terrific.

The Early Bird was great. The food was amazing ,the when pigs fly platter is all the bacon all the ways!! The hash and eggs was perfect. Pancakes were phenomenal. Best brunch spot around. The food was definitely worth the wait.

Not impressed at all. Atmosphere was very noisy and hard to have a conversation. Appetizers were ok, entrees were very disappointing! Dungeness crab pot was awful, scallops were overcooked and the "northwest" cioppino was not good. Server was not efficient and only checked back a coup[le of times. For the money, there are a LOT of other places in Omaha I'll visit.

My "Go To" in town! Food is awesome, as wells, the service! Best patio in the city! I shouldn't tell ya that because I don't like a lot of people! Daryl runs a tight ship! Best seafood in the city! Daryl, I miss the Kampachi! Hope it shows up again soon.

Food was great, a lot of really good options! Atmosphere was not the best, mostly older people. Somewhere where you would go to if you're taking your parents out. Seats were not very comfy either. Would probably get take out only if I had to go back.

I highly recommend the Prarie Frie Steak. Recently remodeled building and deor. Looked good. A new (disappointing) addition is a surcharge for using plastic payments.

Stopped in for lunch for the 1st time after several dinners and it's more of the same. Always excellent. Had shrimp as app and it was amazing. I had the burger and the wife had the tacos. All fantastic.

Great Bistro setting and vibe. Good selection of wines. Tried the white pinot, had two bottles for 3 people, and took a third bottle home. Food is very good. We had small plates to sample 5 dishes. Mussels were really good, as was Lavosh, shrimp, and ahi tuna. Small charcuterie board was pretty small but delicious. Server's were very friendly and knowledgeable about food and wines.

One of our favorite places in this area. The food is always delicious and presented beautifully. I had the Reuben and the mat was tender and lean, which is very important to me. The chips were crunchy and the apple blue cheese slaw was amazing. Hubby had the corn chowder and a salad which was lightly dressed and yummy. The service was good and the pricing was appropriate for the quality and quantity.

My wife and I come in almost every week and sit at the bar. As a result, we've gotten to know restaurant manager / bartender Jennie. She's an engaging and excellent host, and after just a couple of visits, she anticipated our needs based on our past preferences - knowing our favorite wine and mixed drink. This is exactly what we look for in a non-chain restaurant - personal attention delivered with genuine thoughtfulness and care. We've found the greet staff and other waiters/waitresses that Jennie manages to be equally attentive. Obviously, there's one thing that's even more important than great service - and that's great food. Twisted Cork Bistro has that in spades - over the year and a half that we've been coming here, we've tried nearly every dish - and they are all winners. Of course, we both have our favorites - my wife really loves the Mahi Mahi and the Sea Scallops. I'm a big fan of the Prairie Fire and Hawaiian Ahi. The Bison steak is also over-the-top amazing. The key to most of their dishes is top-notch ingredients and really creative sauce and spice pairings. And speaking of pairings, if you're a wine fan, and you've always wanted to try wines from the Northwest, the selection here of reds and whites at every price point can't be beat. We moved from Newport Beach in Southern California, where there are any number of amazing restaurants, especially those that serve sea food. The owners are former Seattle, Washington restaurateurs who relocated to Omaha - and they have all their seafood flown in from either the West Coast or Hawaii every 24 hours, so have no doubt about freshness! Their meat offerings feature the best locally grown beef and bison. Their small bites are equally amazing, and they have a nice abbreviated happy hour menu that will let you get in and out with a great filling meal on a budget. If you haven't been there, be sure to give it a try. And tell Jennie that Bob and Marya sent you!

Bad customer service and many items on the menu not available. We finally gave up and walked out. The hostess who was waiting on us (while the bartender ignored us to talk about herbs), rolled her eyes and sighed as we left without ordering, and that was the final touch.

Lots of sea food selection in this pacific northwest “Seattle” themed restaurant. Being from Seattle I was loving the wine selection and all the seafood. It’s a pleasant atmosphere except some weird sound that comes from the bar when a round is ordered. That was an annoyance. Other than that we had a nice time and enjoyed the food.

AMAZING!! HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE?!? Food was absolutely delicious - we had appetizers and astounding main courses. The flatbread appetizer is worth going back for. My fellow diners ordered the burger which is claimed to be the best burger in Omaha, but they weren't convinced. My ribeye was not very flavourful. Old Fashion was well made.

Very expensive for the size of portions. Hamburger came with potato chips and slaw. Less than a handful of Chips which appeared came from the bottom of the bag, all crumbs, less then half full handful. Slaw very dry. Favor of burger was good. Would not recommend, if hungry.
