Where do I start! For a hotel of this caliber they do not offer any useful allergen tolerant food. In the store its just biscuits and chips. They also have a very limited pool menu consisting of 3 gluten free options of no substance. Washers are a nightmare and glitch, causing your wash to not wash. Room service is something to be desired. They made our bed one day with no sheets or blankets, just put the valence over it an left a random stack of pillow cases which stayed in the room for a week as they couldn’t be bothered to collect them. We stay at universal every alternate year and my advice is ti avoid the sapphire falls and stay at the cabana bay.

Loved staying here, had a great time. The Hotel is gorgeous and is always clean and smells amazing. The rooms, pool and water slide were perfect. The place is always clean. The food is great no matter which place you order from be it Room Service or any of the restaurant/eateries. The water taxi makes life so easy for getting in and out of City walk and the parks, unless it's raining then just grab the shuttle. The only problem we had and reason for 4 stars not 5 were two of the nights we were sleeping we were awoken by an alarm that seemed to go on forever and we don't know why. Lost a couple hours of sleep which is not great for being on a moving Vacation. All in all though we loved it!

From the time we checked in and until we left the experience was great. The check in was extremely quick and were given our room without a wait. Check out we did on our TV and was completely hassle free and no line to deal with. We enjoyed the view from our room and enjoyed the pool. The seating at the pool area was abundant and I felt we found a location each time. Loved the gift shop and shopped several times there. When some coffee and lotion was not left in our automatically we called front desk and they certainly took care of it quickly. We will be back.

This was our first time staying here but not our last. The customer service in this hotel is superior. I wish my business was in the same area, because I might try to poach them! I’m not sure how they’ve managed to avoid the staffing issues that so many businesses are having right now, but they’re doing something right. The front desk staff was helpful and attentive. They communicate well and are quick to attend to guest needs, such as our requests for more towels and room service. The rooms, although small for my taste, are VERY clean and well appointed. We were very pleased with our stay here.

Excellent experience since you arrive. Everyone was friendly and respectful. The room was not ready but took care of our luggage without any problem. Amelia from housekeeping was amazing. She was above and beyond. Even though we decide not to use the cleaning service. Still, she wants to make sure we have enough towels, soap, trash bags, and coffee. She checks twice to make sure we don't want/need to clean the room. I normally keep the room clean and organized.

Only stayed here for a few days on a longer multi stop holiday in the US but was a fantastic hotel. It’s clearly quite large, with a big conference centre as well, but was fantastic for our base whilst visiting Universal. It was amazingly clean and the room was very spacious and light. The pool area was excellent Blair’s great facilities and really clean. Only ate in the restaurant for breakfast on our final morning and whilst it was nice, we had the continental breakfast, it was very over priced but what you would probably expect from a hotel like this. The boat shuttle service to Universal was excellent, very frequent and a great way to get to and from the park

Resort is amazing right when you arrive. Front desk workers were nice and helpful. I got locked out of my room at night and Morgan and security were quick to help. Amenities are insane and you would honestly not be bored if you spent one of your vacation days just at the hotel. Great pool while people deliver you food and drinks and great activities such as ping pong and the arcade. Restaurants taste great and New Dutch Trading Co is an excellent addition of a grab and go that opens early if you're rushing to the parks. Ferry comes every 10-15 minutes which is very convenient. Rooms are a little tight but have amazing views. Would stay here again.

To be honest I don’t even know where to start. The hotel was absolutely amazing considering the overall price of it being extremely cheap. The staff was amazing and extremely nice. Any time we called and asked for something we got everything in under 20 minutes. I had an amazing time staying at the Sapphire Falls Resort and everything was perfect. The food was perfect and we had zero problems with anything. We stayed on the sixth floor with the double queen beds and the room was so clean and across the board very modern and up to date. The pool is great and always at or above 80 degrees. The hot tub is nearby along with a splash pad and a large water slide. No matter the time of day it was quiet around the room and there were zero loud guests. For sure we would come back in a instant and possibly stay again very soon. Would come back again!!

We stayed for 4 nights in June and were very happy with our stay. The hotel is perfectly situated with access to Universal theme parks via the free boat taxi or a short 20min walk and the walk to Volcano Bay is even shorter at about 10/15min. The rooms were great quality, comfy beds and good a/c, clean and well furnished. The staff were all super friendly, very helpful and able to help us with questions etc. The pool was good, albeit a bit busy, and there is a well stocked gym, some outdoor games areas and an arcade. Restaurants were great, a poolside bar, lobby-based sports bar and quieter, more expensive restaurant near the canal. Very happy with our stay, would recommend for anyone visiting universal.

Went on a work trip/vacation & my family & I enjoyed every moment ☺️. The rooms were cozy & felt like home away from home! The staff was friendly, polite, attentive, knowledgeable, & very well-trained! I loved the interactions with the entire staff we came in contact with!! You all deserved this 5 🌟 rating!! We'll definitely be back, my children can't wait!! Thank you all for your hospitality!!

Absolutely amazing resort, our family stayed 6 nights and would definitely stay at Sapphire Falls again. The water taxi to and from the parks is a big convenience and just adds to the experience. The hotel staff was awesome in also communicating with us about the parks and all our activities. We will stay here again such an awesome trip!

Great location. Right down from the Royal Pacific hotel. Beautiful walk (or leisurely boat ride) to City Walk or either of the Universal parks. Nice theming in the hotel. Feels spacious as well. Most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The pool is phenomenal! Enormous with tons of space to lounge. Two room kids suite is awesome if traveling as a family. Only drawbacks would be not having the Express Pass feature like the other premier hotels (which may not be a big deal for all) and the cost of nightly parking.

I've stayed here before , in 2016 and again last week. I have to say that the hotel and in particular the staff have gone massively downhill. This is an expensive place to stay when compared to some of the surrounding options. However the juice is really not worth the squeeze. First the good. Rooms are clean enough, housekeeping staff are fabulous, polite, welcoming and helpful. The captains of the boats that take you to city walk from right outside your hotel are fabulous, fun and engaged with the crowd. As for the rest.....it's a total minefield of what you might get. Our check in person was so lacking in customer service skills it was almost as though it was their first day on the job. He asked the regular questions, did you have a nice trip, have you been before, are you celebrating anything etc etc but he failed to listen to any of our answers. We were celebrating a birthday, an anniversary and a graduation, he did not seem to know what to do about that....and of course....it's just to give us a badge. We asked him if our family room was facing the pool or the lagoon. He told us it was a lagoon room. When we got to the room it faced the car park. So back to reception to change rooms then. The reception staff and the staff in the restaurants range from polite to downright rude, in the coffee shop there is a young man on the register who treats you as though you're an inconvenience and not a customer, barking out orders to customers and other staff alike. The pool is hit or miss. Splash pad under repair, slide open intermittently with a range of excuses/reasons, routine maintenance, lack of staff etc There was one night where the pool was open but no-one was allowed to swim with lifeguards whistling anyone who went near the water. The reason given - bad weather and lightning BUT the jacuzzi and pool area were open - work that one out. It was really inconsistent and my kids just found it depressing that the main focal point of their stay, the pool, was so badly run. No money back of course for a facility that I'm sure is included in the price. Restaurants are very expensive and actually not a good range of choices for families. My first stay in 2016 was like the Hulk, incredible.......this time around it was more like the Minions...just a little despicable.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Very comfortable beds. No noise issues. The water taxi to City Walk was very convenient. If there was a line, we just walked to the park and it only took 15 minutes on a safe/easy path. I only went to the pool once, but it was nice and seemed clean. All together a great stay!

Fantastic vacation experience with the family with older teens. We all had a blast. Hotel has a huge pool, arcade!, ping pong, state of the art fitness center, clean comfortable rooms, coffee shop, restaurants, and walking distance to Universal and City Walk (or water taxi which is fun) and other Universal hotels. Love the breakfast at the Royal Pacific Resort. Sapphire Falls has a get-a-way feel to it! Added bonus, super close to Top Golf.

Loved our stay at Sapphire Falls. We were there for an evening event, so we enjoyed the pool and the grounds during the day. My only real complaint is the amount of time it takes for the water taxi because of the amount of guests using it from Aventura & Cabana Bay. Since this taxi is servicing 3 hotels instead of just 1 like the rest, the line and wait is considerably longer. Otherwise, it was wonderful. I would absolutely choose SF again!

I stayed at Sapphire Falls for a work conference. Prices for some things were higher than you would find in a similar hotel that is not in a resort area, but pretty much in line with what I expected. The restaurants and shops were a good value after factoring in the premium you'll pay due to the location. The coffee shop was my favorite place to grab a meal. All the staff I interacted with were very friendly. Great customer service all around.

Outstanding! My new favorite hotel! Most beautiful decorated room I ever stayed in. The grounds, pool, room’s excellent! Many thanks to all the maintenance and staff. Gary at check in was great and friendly. Loved the pool and walking trails. The water taxis and Captains awesome. Loved the lagoon view but the pool view would have been just as nice. We dined at Strong Water Tavern, excellent! We did walk next door to the Aventura hotel for breakfast which was great. I can’t wait to return to this resort again!

I was pleasantly surprised by the pleasant and professional greeting and handling of the check-in process, and things stayed at that level throughout my stay. The staff was also concerned about protecting my room. When I returned to my room, while it was being refreshed and cleaned, the very professional employee asked that I please scan my key card to prove it was my room (she had propped the door open to make her work easier). The restaurant staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent advice. All told, highly rated!

By far one of the best costumer experience I have ever experienced. It remains me of the old days of Disney service. Everyone was excellent. The only negative was the food and selection. They can improve in taste and choices. The to go pizza was horrible. But the service and overall hotel environment made up for it.

I really enjoyed my stay here and the value for what I paid. Pool was great, food options are good (pricey but to be expected) and location is of course great. I loved walking to Volcano Bay. Excellent hotel gym too which I appreciated. Only cons were that I felt that my housekeeping team could have been slightly better, and at peak times, the water taxi is too crowded / long of a wait to be useful. Overall though a lovely stay for a family w children.

Hotel was very clean and convenient to City Walk and other attractions. We were able to get into Volcano Bay earlier, which was great. It was a short walk there. The hotel staff gave me tons of information regarding pool hopping with other hotels, where everything was located, and what was the easiest way to get around. The hotel itself was very nice. The rooms were a little tight in size for a family of four but we were on the first floor so maybe the other rooms are bigger. Also - being on the first floor, I had very poor service. Usually this wouldn't be a problem, but my husband was meeting us there from out of town and I would have to go upstairs to use my phone because it wouldn't work on the first floor. Overall it was a good experience.

The family room with view to the lagoon was perfect for us. Clean room and very nice staff all over the hotel. Warmed pool, open till 11pm, depending on the weather. Early admission and the free water taxi to the theme parks and City Walk are really good facilities. On your way to Volcano Bay you better walk through the garden walk for just 7-10 min instead waiting for the shuttle every 15 min, and you can take with you the towels from the hotel, just bring them back. The coffee shop is always busy, feel small for the size of the hotel, at dinner time, waiting line and getting your order could take around 30min. Beautiful hotel, perfect for a family vacation.

Avoid arriving to the property on a late Friday afternoon if you're able to. The queue to check-in will be long and, in my case, we waited for a little over an hour to check-in. What made matters unpleasant was the fact there was no option for mobile check-in or a mobile key to access the room. My wife and I were there for a simple weekend vacation (as we're locals) and only needed access to our rooms. We know the area quite well and visit the theme parks often. Once we were at the front desk, it took us less than five minutes to check-in. Nevertheless, we did more waiting than actual checking in and being it's the first experience for our stay, it leaves a poor impression for the entirety of the stay. The pool area is decent. It's not as large as we were under the impression it would be. But nonetheless we were able to have a pleasant time. The pool under constant watch of lifeguards and F&B is offered. Make sure to arrive very early if you'd like chairs with shade/umbrella. They picked up quick and the guests leave their belongings all day to 'hold' their spots.

Our family travels to Orlando about 10 times a year, always Disney. This time we spend the weekend at Universal Loews Sapphire Falls. We weren’t sure what to expect but were definitely pleasantly surprised with the property. The grounds were well kept, the staff was helpful and friendly. Mostly, the food was very good! I felt very comfortable in our room and the bed was comfortable. We loved the Caribbean decor and food flavor. The parks were just a short boat ride away and also had access to City Walk. City Walk had a lot of restaurants and shops but the crowds kept us from enjoying the area.

Would recommend this resort when traveling to Universal. Walking paths and water taxis were very convenient for getting to and from the park. Very beautiful grounds and pool area. Couldn't get the kids out. Taking off 1 star for the lack of bathroom privacy (sliding door with no lock) and the fact that pets are allowed. Was never told that there could be barking dogs keeping us up at night. Other than that, was a very pleasant experience.

We came down for my daughter's sweet 16 and got a room with a kid's suite for her and a friend. It was PERFECT! We had enough time together and separate so they could hang out and we could spend time together separately and still enjoy a vacation together. The service was fantastic from start to finish including the ability to text the front desk as well as the concierge for questions and things for the room. They gave us a free movie for her birthday and we ate at the restaurant downstairs at the breakfast buffet 2 mornings it was so good.

Beautiful hotel. The layout is a little weird but there are plenty of signs to direct you where you are going. The pool is amazing. They have a water taxi to the parks and it’s simple and a nice ride. We will definitely be back. This resort was wonderful for a middle age couple that just wanted to get away for the weekend. Plenty of food options. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I am already looking to see when we can head back. Oh and the park is within walking distance. We walked back and forth several times during our trip and it was a beautiful walk. You can also go to the other universal resorts to use their pool if you want.

We visited for an anniversary staycation and would happily return to this resort. The resort and the rooms were clean and beautiful. The view from our lagoon room was stunning, and being in building 3 gave us easy access to the water taxis that made getting to the theme parks so easy. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Everything from booking to check-in was clearly communicated and seamless, and everything from check-in to check-out was easy, enjoyable, and overall wonderful. We would definitely recommend this resort because of its location, affordability, and accessibility to Universal/City Walk as well as the other resorts for resort hopping. We ourselves will surely be back, even if just to visit our new favorite spot, Strong Water Tavern.

Love this resort. I’ve been here three times now and will continue to frequent this resort. The rooms are nice and clean and check in is always a breeze. Front desk staff are always so welcoming and enthusiastically friendly. The best part is the water taxi and the proximity to Universal Studios, it’s just a short walk away from both parks and City Walk. Don’t hesitate to book here!

  • 5/5 Walter F. 10 months ago on Google
The only negative was that the online booking did not work, however, just calling the number offered connects you to someone that will definitely get your stay booked flawlessly. The hotel was nice with no issues, everyone was very pleasant which added to a relaxing time. Being able to make all on site purchases with your room key is definitely a plus, just make sure your kids keys have a limit, because, well, they are kids. Definitely use the water taxi, it is so much nicer than waiting for the shuttle, which by the way, you have to take to and from Volcano Bay. Or if you like you can walk to the parks , but you are going to want to ride back after spending all day at the park(s). The pool area is great for playin in the pool with the kids, and when you need it, the hot tub is just steps away from the back bar. Overall, we had a much needed, relaxing vacation. Lastly, take it easy on the staff, they have no control over the weather and the rules are there for a reason.

I have stayed on site at Universal Orlando resorts since I was a kid, and have yet to be disappointed with my stay. Loews Sapphire Falls Resort exceeded my expectations! With the price point, I did not expect the property to be so large with so many amenities. The pool is the best part, my daughter wanted to be there more than in the actual parks. The staff was by far the best part of the experience. We did not meet a single member who did not go above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. Jessie at the front desk even sent up a special surprise for our Kindergarten graduate that really made her entire week! I cannot say enough great things about this resort and the staff! We are local, and absolutely will be staying again and again!

We love staying here and highly recommend it. The staff are all phenomenal every time! The valet and luggage service team are always so friendly. The room was cleaned while we were at the parks and the attention to detail was superb. My son’s stuffed animal was lovingly placed back on the center of the bed and our toiletries were even organized. Good options are fantastic and overall ambience and amenities are just what we enjoy!

This beautiful resort is our first choice when staying near Universal. Each team member that we came into contact with from the front desk to the Dutch Trading Co were top notch! The room was beautiful and when we needed extra coffee for our room, we just sent a text and 10 min or so later it was at our door! The proximity to the Universal parks is fantastic via water taxi or taking the scenic walking path, so easy! We love this resort and will be back.

Stayed at Lowe's Sapphire Falls in September. We had a King room with a Kids Suite and an adjoining Queen room. We were very impressed with the hotel. Everything was absolutely immaculate. The rooms were big and spacious The staff were so accommodating and polite. The only negative was the price of the room service food. A bit pricey and average (although the chicken soup was above expectations) but that is to be expected from a mid-level hotel at Universal. The room service staff were awesome! Everyone was so great. Called our room daily to ask if everything was alright. We even left a few items by accident and they graciously mailed them back to us at no charge. Overall highly impressed and would stay again in a heartbeat

We have had a wonderful time. Clayton checked us in and was fun and charming. I ordered room service and they followed up to ensure everything was good. The boats to the parks are fun and easy to use. So glad we came back this year.

We stayed here for 4 day birthday getaway and I must say we were not disappointed. I 1st booked the cabana bay beach resort but after reading those views I changed hotels. And I’m glad we did. The check in process was short and sweet. I loved that our hotel keys had our names on them😄. The room was clean nice and spacious, the whole resort from the lobby to the elevators were always clean and smelled fresh. We rented a cabana on our 1st full day and the service at the pool was great. The waiters greeted me with ma’am or Ms Bell. Shout out to the bartender on remembered my name and drink order. The water taxi was excellent as well, you can use them or walk over to city walk to get into the parks. Room service and the housekeeping service was top notch as well no complaints. This was definitely a good trip to this hotel and it made our universal experience so memorable. Thank you Sapphire Falls!!!

Overall good experience. This resort is really spread out. A lot of walking and pulling luggage on carpet. The ferry to city walk is nice, however the line can be long at peak times. The walk is also ok although the sign directions back from the park/city walk are confusing. The pool is nice and they over movies at night but the screen was so small for such a big pool. The rooms are also small if you have more than two people in them. Note for families.
