I
am
deeply
disappointed
by
my
recent
experience
at
the
Salvation
Army.
It
was
supposed
to
be
a
place
where
people
in
need
could
find
help
and
support,
but
unfortunately,
my
experience
was
quite
the
opposite.
I
have
visited
all
the
Salvation
Army
centers
in
Ottawa,
and
this
one
is
by
far
the
worst.
The
staff,
especially
three
women,
including
an
elderly
lady
and
two
women
working
at
the
cash
register,
were
incredibly
unpleasant
and
lacked
respect
towards
the
customers.
It
feels
like
the
goal
is
not
nonprofit,
but
rather
to
conduct
business
at
the
expense
of
the
people
who
are
supposed
to
be
helped,
especially
those
who
are
economically
disadvantaged.
I
witnessed
an
incredible
scene
where
a
gaming
console
had
no
price
tag.
A
kind
man
simply
asked
for
the
price,
and
one
of
the
employees
went
into
the
warehouse
to
put
an
excessively
high
price
on
the
item.
The
man
told
her
that
the
console,
new,
did
not
cost
that
much.
She
then
took
the
console
inside
the
warehouse,
and
I
never
saw
her
again.
One
wonders
if
this
was
done
intentionally.
Furthermore,
the
staff
humiliates
people
with
disrespectful
remarks.
Customers
come
here
because
they
are
in
need,
but
they
are
treated
as
if
they
were
worth
nothing,
especially
by
the
blonde
elderly
lady
and
the
two
other
brunettes,
one
young
and
the
other
a
bit
older.
Additionally,
the
staff
sets
prices
randomly,
often
higher
than
regular
stores.
This
creates
a
great
injustice
for
low-income
individuals
who
are
simply
trying
to
find
essential
items
at
an
affordable
price.
I
am
deeply
disappointed
by
the
lack
of
respect
and
consideration
from
the
Salvation
Army
staff.
I
sincerely
hope
that
corrective
action
will
be
taken
to
create
a
more
respectful
and
fair
environment
for
all
customers,
regardless
of
their
financial
situation.
People
in
need
deserve
to
be
treated
with
dignity
and
respect,
and
this
center
has
a
lot
of
progress
to
make
in
that
regard.
