Do NOT visit here. I have had pets all my life, gone to various vets (Cranberry Hill, Alta Vista, Chapman Mills, Bank Street, Carp Rd) with some minor differences in quality of service, but all generally quite good. I have never received as uncaring service as this. My dog came in with sores on her paws; the Dr tried to tell me lots of potential things might be wrong with her and we should do more tests. (It was ONLY surface wounds). We also got flea and tick medication. He wanted to do blood tests for Lyme and charge us just because we asked for prevention. Dr. Manesh was also very dismissive when discussing any of this with us, just writing up all of the medications and tests on a bill and pushing us out the door. The WORST part was that after having my dog in the back for a while, she came back visibly upset. I don't know why we weren't allowed to be there when at every other vet, we are there when they do a simple blood draw (which again wasn't necessary anyway). I will never go back.

WORST PLACE EVER! Misdiagnosed my dog sent us home after taken $1700 from us to only have to put her down the next day! Don’t bring your animal there! They don’t care about your animal they care about the money

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I had to wait 45 minutes to be seen, the receptionist was extremely rude and unwelcoming, acting like I was bothering her by being there. The vet has no bedside manner whatsoever. He causally told me that my cat might have cancer and while I was holding back tears and asking questions to better understand, he started laughing at me and getting frustrated. However, I will say that the vet tech was very kind! She was sympathetic and did her best to better explain everything once the vet had left.

We've been going to Montreal Road Animal Hospital for over 15 years, from our kittens very first checkup, until her last. Despite our cat being the nervous type, they always treated her with kindness and compassion. We couldn't have asked for better care for her, and they continue to care for our 11 year old male cat. The vets there have always shown patience and understanding, and helped us do what is best for our pets. When we moved out of the area, we continued to make trips back and have them as our vet. And thank you to the staff for taking such good care of our furry loved ones.

All the staff at Montreal Road Animal Hospital went beyond my wildest dreams when it comes to taking care of my fur baby Boomer. The office staff were able to find me financial aid in order to pay the the surgery my dog needed without their help and dedication I would not have been able to care for my dog. Animal Hospital is very good and they take good care of all animals. I have been going there with my two dogs over 10 years. Dr Meloche is very amazing. He treats our fur babies like they are his.

I just wanted to say thanks to dr. Kevin we brought our little lutino cockateil today as she had been plucking her feathers and he did such an extensive assessment on her and found out what was wrong. We appreciate it !

By far the best vet I’ve ever been to. They might not look as fancy as the big corporate ones like VCA (which we left to join them), but they are the most compassionate and responsive people a pet owner could have helping them out. Our aging dog was struggling and they were quick to diagnose the problem and offer a solution. When eventually our pup reached end of life, they made a hard situation manageable and followed up a few weeks later with a handwritten card from the staff expressing their condolences. I couldn’t believe it! Definitely worth coming here if you want excellent service and caring staff. Thank you for everything!

Dr.Manesh helped and found out what was wrong with our cat. He was amazing, and provided information to help us better understand the illness he had! However, Sativah, the receptionist was AMAZING. We had trouble getting our insurance claim back which took us 4 hours to get back and every second of that time she was so supportive! Made sure our baby was hydrated! Kept us updated on our status and kept us good company while we waited all these hours! She was absolutely great!!!!!

Today was my Trixie teeth surgery and the doctor did an amazing job and the price was good and the staff are amazing that is again and 10 stars if I could thank again u helped my Trixie get better

Always an excellent experience for my my big guy Gimli. I also appreciate that they are extra patient (and provide sedation) for my more anxious cat Theodore. Quick, efficient and reasonably priced.

This clinic is exceptionally well staffed with each member of the team supporting and knowledgeable. The doctor is thorough and knows how to explain what is going on to his clients. His services and manners are to be commended. Easy to refer this clinic.

Awesome vet don't believe the 1 star reviews just remember they get busy so don't come in a rush and pets are not cheap :) may 10 today we went for nails and they popped the pimple for free :) that are the best place ever

The owner of this clinic is a thief. Do not bring your pets to this hospital. That building is an old building probably built in 40’s or 50’s. They have a warn out 2 steps set of stairs, sticking out of the left side of the building, in their driveway towards their parking space behind the building, which is located on a blindspot and is not appropriately taking care of. There is no Sign or railway installed on it to warn the drivers that there’s 2 steps in your blind spot so watch out, don’t drive over it. So this hospital decided to forge a repair estimate of 60 years old “two steps” for $3500.00, so they can make some money from me to get new set of stairs, railing and sign probably. How on earth two 60 year old steps that just a corner of one needs a fix and have damaged my car, cost $3500 to repair! Obviously the owner is behind this forging since he owns the clinic. Dr. Kevin do you think you can continue this dishonesty so you can make some money to get a for your favourite new sets of stairs?! This action of yours is illegal and is not tolerated by law.

It has been approximately one and a half month since I started taking my kitten Jewel Maxine to the Montreal Rd Animal Hospital. She has been treated well, and all vaccines are now up-to-date. I have had a great experience thus far with Dr. Bielby. He has been nothing but professional in his knowledge and opinions, and how he treats my kitty. I've brought my senior cat here a few times, and they're very friendly and helpful! Every staff member treated my cat like they don't get to see cats very often, and were so nice and respectful with her. I'll most definitely bringing all future pets here so long as I live in the area. The building can be hard to see if you haven't been there before, because there's no sign near the road, but there's a sign on the front of the building. My favourite vets in Ottawa!

Stuff very compassionate. Dr who looked after CATT was very kind and gentle. They even called the day after to make certain our fur baby was doing okay.

I have been looking around for a new vet to bring my dog to lately and with many places fully booked, Montreal Road Animal Hospital was one of the only places with an opening that wasn't weeks away. I am so glad I ended up going with them. Our vet, Dr. Manesh, was incredible. My poor dog has been sick for years and his symptoms were always overlooked and dismissed by our previous vet. But Dr. Manesh really couldn't have been better. After evaluating my dog, he immediately suggested we run a number of different tests. Blood. Urine.. I am SO glad he did. The tests indicated that he has crystals in his urine, and he is also fighting some sort of infection. Dr. Manesh also found ear mites in my dogs ears which my previous vet has overlooked since my dog was a PUPPY. I really have nothing but good things to say after my experience with Dr. Manesh. I can tell he genuinely cares, is very knowledgeable, thorough, and isn't dismissive of my dogs problems. He was also very patient with myself, and my dog. He has taken the time to answer all of my various questions and concerns to help ease my mind. I'm very grateful we made the switch to him and can't thank him enough!

An excllent and well run animal hospital. Took my sugar gliders in for a quick check up because one had not been acting her usual self. She was feeling great and back to normal within days of the visit!

Really nice service! Techs are very friendly. They took amazing care of my dog and gave him lots of love and attention while he was in for care. They even gave him a complimentary nail trim and took lots of time telling me what needed to be done and answered all my questions. Great service, really glad I switched vets to this new place.

Vet techs are amazing, always very patient when dealing with customers and patients. When a pet is left in their care they always ensure that they are safe and well cared for. For the doctors they always do the best they can to make sure the pets are in the best care. When it comes to receptionist they are all very patient and understanding. If you are a student looking for a co-op placement this would be a great place to do it.

Brought my cat to the vet cause of urination problem and costipation the staff was very good with my cat he took x-rays and blood work and found what was the problème with her and did a treatment for her and told me what to do and change her diet. He also showed me how to give my cat meds and they took the time to explain to me about the diet and about everything what was happening with my cat. Also gave me is card and told me to text him to give him updates of my cat and he respons to me back very very good service thanks doctor Manesh.

Great news! Affordable veterinary coast without a dough… I’ve been going to this clinic for years, everyone is absolutely delightful, extremely helpful and knowledgeable…. 🐕

Strongly advise against going here. I brought my cat in twice. TWICE. For crystals. They gave her two different antibiotics that aren’t even prescribed for crystals but for skin and tissue infections??? When I called after the first antibiotic wasn’t working and she had blood in her urine still, they said to just ignore it and finish them. So that’s what I did and then she still had blood in her pee. So I called back and got told I had to bring her back in for another urinalysis even though she had that and everything other test under the Sun done two weeks prior. So I bring her back in and pay more money. They prescribe another antibiotic that seemed to work for like 5 days and then she had blood in her pee again. So now I have to bring her in to a totally new vet on thanksgiving for an emergency appointment. This vet is a crook. I wouldn’t suggest to bring your animal here unless you want to bring them in every week and never have them get better. I ended up bringing my cat to an emergency vet who had to preform surgery to remove her bladder stones. She had stones all along and not crystals. The only way to fix that is surgery. And he never once mentioned that. Only antibiotics. So she never would have gotten better and she was in a large amount of pain. I’m placing a complaint into the college of veterinarians of Ontario and suggest anyone who’s had a similar experience to do the same. I may even take him to court for animal negligence.

We saw him yesterday with our kitty. A wonderful vet. His staff was very friendly. They were very gently with our little fur baby. They were patient with me asking questions and explained what my kitty had and how to apply the medicine on him. I highly recommend Montreat Road Animal Hospital for your aminals primary vet.
