Very rude staff/manager. Called to inquire about something and was treated very poorly.

Important review if you do not want to be bullied. The employee who is tall, shaved undercut hair with a pony tail is a bully. She made my experience at this Pet Value horrible and I will advise all the other dog owners I know not to go to this location. This staff member was rude, uninviting and not helpful whatsoever. As a dog owner of three dogs, I frequent the self-serve dog wash often and at several locations and this one was by far the worst. After already telling this staff member that I know the drill and I read all the signs, this staff member continued to talk down to me and my partner. If you are a dog owner reading this review, I would highly suggest going else where such as the Pet Value on Trainyards or Montreal Road where they offer spectacular customer service and they do not employ bullies. If you are management reading this, I really hope that you take this review under serious consideration because I will be posting this in my local dog groups because "one bad apple can spoil the barrel". Very disappointed.

Very friendly staff ! And the dog washing stations are always cleaned before each customer. Everything is provided shampoos towels and even complementary treats for your dog for good behavior lol

Friendly staff and reasonable prices. We like to come here for the self service dog wash. Dog wash - April 2023 pricing is $12/dog. Includes access to the dog wash, shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, towels, and they provide a small bag of beef liver treats which is great if your dog is nervous getting bathed. They have two dog wash stations and an appointment is not needed. We have always walked in and there was never a wait. Highly recommend!

I always stop in here when we are in the city. I think the staff here are awesome and even if my little dogs are at home, I go in to pick up some treats for them and see what's new. We discovered some smart new travel products for our Bostons. Skoolie traveling will be updated now with some cooking vests and other items. Totally worth the stop.

Great first time do-it-yourself dog wash! 3 customer service were available in store. One helped explain and walk through “How To” was very clear and easy. Aspen will be back !! Helpful in store item to have for clients who don’t need full service grooming.

I went three times in the span of five days to just buy some pet food and wipes. Each time there was literally just one employee who was running the dog grooming/washing and the till. Meaning that you would wait for them to finish the dog before serving the customer. Management is failing, this isn't the workers fault. Who can't make a schedule to provide adequate coverage....that is incredibly basic. Management here is pathetic.

Great for their self serve dog washing station, my golden retriever gets a little bag of treats each time we go. Staff always kind and helpful. Not too expensive, unlimited towels and shampoo is included.

Went to get puppy food and left the store with all of the things my pupp actually needed.The customer service is outstanding. Flynn is very knowledgeable about the products they carry and gave a whole bunch of coupons and lot of them were for a free item. He also thought my kids a few new things and kept them occupied/intertained. Thank you Flynn for such a wonderful experience!

Washed my pup here for the first time today here! 10/10 experiance - it was reasonably priced, had all I needed to wash him (tub, shower head, a variety of shampoo/conditioners, and a great hair dryer). PLUS the staff were so so sweet - especially when my pup peed a few times (Still very sorry)! I highly recommend coming here if you need to bathe your pups and don’t want to do it/can’t at home!

We used they're bath Station and it was awesome. 12.00 and they supply all best ever.

Washed my dogs at 4pm on a Sunday and forgot my Fitbit. Went in first thing next day and was told they didn’t see it - strange considering employee went in right after me to clean the bath area. Won’t be going back there!

Was easy to place my order online and pick up in-store. Staff were quite helpful and very friendly with so great advice that I took home and put to use and still use today. I see they have an in-store wash your own pet station which is also very convenient for animal owners that do not have the space at home to do so.

Their dog washing station is great. They need to get a more reliable washing machine though. It sucks when they don't have towels.

Love going to that store, the staff is friendly and helpful. If I cannot find my regular food for my little dog, they will make sure to order it for me. The store is clean and this particular one offers the bathing station which is a bit plus as it's provided a comfortable place to bathe my dog. 👍

Manger was really disrespectful. Never going back. I put my puppy down to sanitize my hands and she come at me rudly giving me orders like a child. And walks away from me. Doesn't greet me or ask how she can help me.

I shop at this location quite frequently and today I was extremely disappointed with the service I received. The young woman at the cash today ( tall, slim brunette with glasses and hair in low ponytail) extremely rude with zero customer service skills whatsoever. No personality at all. She should NOT be working there. If you can’t be nice and polite to customers then obviously this is NOT the place you should work at…. Won’t be going back here again! I’ll stick to the stittsville location. They are beyond nice and polite there.

The self serve dog wash is an incredible deal, and I love taking my dog there. What I find extremely frustrating is that the dog wash hours are not posted nor are they consistent. The store closes at 9 pm. I can understand if they want to close the wash at 830, but today I was told they had started closing it at 8 pm so that they could do a "deep clean." When I asked why it closed an hour prior to the store closing I was told it was to "deep clean" the area. At the very least each store manager should post these hours on the website...... there is nothing anywhere online. After 6 years, this has annoyed me enough that I won't go back.

Well merchandised store and conveniently located in Kanata. It is next to a grocery store so It is easy to get your shopping done. Located on Hazeldean Road.

Every time I come in here I’m amazed that they keep the tropical fish in such small containers and all individualized. I’m not sure how this can’t be considered cruel. This is solitary confinement at its worst. Absolutely no stimulation. I wouldn’t be surprised if these fish have ptsd.

Love Pet Valu shopping experience and costs are comparable to other stores when buying specialty food. I like that I can order online, pay and pick up at the store. It's faster and safer. Their plastic bags are also ones of the best ones we've seen and they hold up 20 13oz cans of cat food pretty nicely.

I went to this store and purchased 3 packs of cat food which were $1.50 off each and exlusive offer of "Buy 3 get 1 Free". First of all, they charged me not $1.50 off, but $1.05 off each and the exclusive offer of buy one 3 get 1 free was not applied. And I even asked the cashier if the offer will be applied and she confirmed. Then, in the same day I came back and told the cashers that there is some mistake here. They both calculated and said that there is no mistake. I apologized, but then decided to see if I find the mistakes. The very next day I came again with calculator and we counted it all together and the issuses were found. It took me to days and two trips to get my refund. I would recommend that all shopppers check their recipts properly before leaving the store.

There is a self-service dog wash but no grooming service at this location, however the Stitsville location has both a self-service dog wash and grooming. Also the fish kept in store are only betas, they are kept separately to keep them safe from each other and cared for by staff daily.

This is our go-to pet store location for a quick trip for food. Staff are always friendly and they have a good selection. It'd be 5 stars if it were for the terrible parking lot. Not their fault, but all businesses in that strip mall suffer from it.

They have some good products at decent prices. Some staff are better than others, but overall, I've been to friendlier pet stores. I also find that they push their head to tail products hard, but they are often too weak to even work.

The Pet Valu Self Serve Dog Wash is awesome!!! For $12/dog we were able to wash them with the fantastic soap variety and dry them with a high powered hose! No more leaning over the tub at home and having wet dog running through my house getting the carpet wet and hair everywhere, I am never washing my dogs at home again! I love, love, love this affordable option 🫶
