A must visit when you come to Paris!! This restaurant is absolutely perfect. Homely tasting delicious french food at very reasonable prices. We had two starters, two mains, a dessert to share, and a drink and it was less than 30€! The waiters were very friendly and provided excellent service. I will be returning to Paris next month and will 100% come back to this restaurant. Unforgettable.

Foods are delicious and very reasonable in price. Staffs were so much friendly and there were no problems to communicate in English. We were lucky that we got seated after just 10 minutes waiting. You will have less waiting time if you go there between 15:00-17:00 o’clock.

All the enthusiasm of a delicious food vanishes as soon as you have the first bite. The food is not served hot! It’s a warm plate that cooked before. Imagine ordering a steak that is cooked an hour ago!! The fries has nothing to say compare to the fries you can have in Germany or the Netherlands for example. The place is classically decorated and the waiters are friendly. I don’t suggest this restaurant not even for a single visit

It came highly recommended to us. Of course, we’ll trust a local. We thought the 2 hours wait would top up our experience, but that just added to the burn. The restaurant is clearly designed to maximise profit with its shoulder-to-shoulder seating and an upsetting ratio of staff to customers. We felt like prisoners, except that our warden didn’t give us a lot of attention. The food was… I’m lost for words here. I’ll use what my partner said: “You can imagine eating at a friend’s house, and the food is served by said friend’s mum. And you can’t say much about the food. It’s warm, it’s cooked, it’s edible. It’s homely. But not the best kind, more leaning towards crossing out your friend’s house from future gatherings type.” While it’s the worst meal we had in Europe, it’s also the cheapest. You do get what you’ve paid for!

Waited 1h 15m to be seated on a Sunday night. Staff was not particularly friendly and didn't speak english. I ordered medium to well steak and it was rare. Good value for money. Onion soup and silver beer were good. Overall did not deserve the wait.

This is a very popular restaurant in Paris and you'll likely be recommended to eat here if you ask around enough - make sure to book ahead, it has very long queues. As for the food, it's a great introduction to French food. Affordable, importantly, but also gives you the option of how deep you want to go. Sea snails and pickled herring, or onion soup if you don't want to be too risky. Largely the food was tasty, but the desserts stood out the most. That's probably because frankly, French food is weird. Bouillon Pigalle, in summary, is French cuisine done well, in an approachable and humble way. Whether you enjoy French food itself - the recipes, flavours and ingredients - will decide whether you enjoy the food.

The line for walk ins were very long, reservation is highly recommended. The line for reservations is through the golden door, some lady not working in the restaurant told us to wait in another line resulting in an extra 15-20 minutes wait, so just be careful for that. The waiter was very kind and humorous, though the service might be a bit slow due to the amount of people dining. The food was great for the price, the portions was big. Food tasted great other than the dessert was too sweet for us.

Went for an early dinner at Bouillon Pigalle at an extremely reasonable price. Their french onion soup was fantastic, but everything else we ordered thereafter (pork shoulder with baked potatoes, eggplant) was mediocre. We also felt the place was too tightly packed and there were little space between tables. I would still recommend to go for an affordable meal with decent quality. And I would also strongly encourage to book / reserve in advance on their website - there was a really long queue but we managed to get our seats immediately due to the reservation.

Why are there such lines at the entrance? Yes, the prices are low, especially for Paris. But the food itself is mediocre, is it really worth the wait? The onion soup looks nice, lots of cheese. It tastes okay, but no more than that. Chicken and potatoes - just chicken and potatoes. For a quick meal and go - a good option. But it won't work for a quick meal) And finally, steak and potatoes. Let's just say I don't know the ins and outs of onion soup, but I definitely understand steak. And that thin, rubbery piece of meat is definitely not steak. And now for the service. Our waiter clearly doesn't like his job. The attitude towards the guests is the same. Dissatisfied and even a little impertinent. The people at the next table were of the same opinion. And yes, I'm talking about you a man about 45-50 years old with gray in his hair. Thank you for your attention.

Classic french food for low budget. The service is very fast and friendly. I recommend to go between Lunch & Dinner time, around 3pm-5pm on a weekday. Its very popular and the tables are very close to each other. So its a bit uncomfortable to sit close to the neighbor.

Comfort food at a fair price. The food is excellent and the service is fast and friendly. Brenda was super helpful. The Onion Soup is simply delicious. Breaded fish is soft and moist while the crust is crisp - perfect. The eggplant presentation was fine as was the taste. All in all a pleasant eating experience. Note: it is always busy and the tables are very close. Suggest making online reservations. Very popular place. Both locals and tourists frequent this restaurant.

Authentic French food for a totally fair price. I would highly recommend to make a reservation if you don’t want to wait almost an hour to enter. We were not that hungry so we ordered a couple of starters. The waiter asked us in a polite way (more or less) to order a main dish. We declined politely and there was no problem.

Good food excellent value. Clearly didn't compromise on quality for their low prices. Fast friendly no frills restaurant. Food is amazing for the price. Highly recommended Definitely worth the queue.

As other reviewers have said, this is a popular and busy place so don't be surprised if you have to wait a bit to be seated. The concept is simple dishes for a fair price. I recommend the Eggs mayonnaise. All other dishes we had were good to, chicken was succulent and steak was fine too. The waiters are friendly and patient despite the heat and bustle!

We went there Saturday night but we gave up on doing that when we saw the long queue. The day after, we headed back there and the wait time was about 30 minutes which was worthwhile because the food was great cost x benefits! This place is a kind of “love or rate”one but definitely, it is not bad and would come back and also recommend it.

We recently visited Paris and wanted to try some local French cuisine. So we visited this popular restaurant and it was so worth it. It’s very crowded at peak hours so make sure to book your table in advance. Else you will have wait in a long queue. We had an amazing lunch experiencing the French cuisine. We ordered Snails in parsley butter, French onion soup, Duck terrine with green pepper and sea bream fillet with ratatouille. For dessert we ordered Profiterole with milk icecream and hot chocolate. Food was top notch and pocket friendly as well. Would definitely recommend for authentic French food. Highlights: Profiterole, French onion soup, sea bream fillet with ratatouille, reasonable cost, fast service

Beautiful place with good food at reasonable prices and excellent service! The onion soup was superb. The beef was good as well. Ordered Saint-Nectaire cheese as recommended by the server and it was delicious. However the bone marrow was just mediocre. Make sure to come early to get a place in this busy restaurant!

Highly recommended restaurant in Paris. Location is great, not so crowded and easily to go with metro. Food is delicious. Recipes with local staff inside 😉. Staff is multilingual and very helpful with the order. Prefer to book a table online to avoid the waiting line that cost you about 30-45 minutes . Great experience at all.

There was a long queue outside. Took about 25 minutes to get seated. Be aware it’s pretty cramped inside - hardly any gap between you and the tables next to you. Decor is just average. This seems to be catering for the masses. But I’d come back every time. 5 stars for good value alone. But the food is also really delicious. Everything i ate and drank was amazing. Service was good too considering how busy they were. Nice to go out for a 3 course meal with wine and not feel like I’ve spent more than I should have. Highly recommend!

Really good restaurant chain offering french dishes at relatively good prices. The one at Pigalle has 2 floors that are always crowded around lunch and dinner time. Expect to stand in long waiting queues around these times. Highly recommended!

There was a short queue when we arrived at 5pm, but service was quick and polite. There was no rush to order our food and we took our time to look at the menu. The staff spoke fluent English and were extremely patient. The food portions were huge and delicious! Will definitely recommend anyone visiting Paris to dine in this restaurant!!

Probably the most delicious meal I’ve had in my 6 weeks in Europe, but definitely the best in Paris! Friendly staff, bright and fun ambiance, low prices, and food is incredible. So good we made reservations for tomorrow! Either come at an off time or make a reservation because there is typically a long line!! Cheers! :)

Ordered a variety! Prices were real good - all were below the average rates of the city centre. The starters definitely carried, all were very flavourful and cheap. Of particular note is the escargots which were juicy and accompanied with a garlic buttery sauce which was really nice. The mains were good but not exceptional. However considering it as a whole, very value for money. Would definitely recommend if travelling on a tighter budget :)

We had an amazing experience here. It wasn't too busy when we arrived and were served promptly. Everything was delicious, from the escargots, to the bone marrow, to our mains, to dessert. Our waiter was also hospitable. The prices are also very reasonable and portions were great!

Staying in the area, I observed a long queue and decided to try this place. I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability on my first visit. The home-cooked style French food was delicious, and the overall quality exceeded my expectations for the price. The service was quick and friendly.

Amazing food - everything was super tasty. Snails were very nice and not chewy. Artichokes to die for. Our main dishes very also full of flavours and great. House wine was really good. I definitely will be back and strongly recommend it. Queue was long but worth the wait.

Feels like a local restaurant. Was recommended by a YouTube couple. Glad we were able to visit. We arrived at 11:30 am before they opened at noon. We were the second couple to be seated and welcomed by the staff. Staff spoke English and also have us an English menu. Large portions for the price. The beef was tough and chewy maybe because of the cut and the pasta was plain, even without salt. We added salt at the table. The steak and fries where nice, also for the price. The bone marrow soup was a wonderful surprise. Lots of bone marrow with gelatinous consistently.

Great prices. Food was a little dry & bland. Felt like the French equivalent of an American diner! Super charming. Lovely service.

Place is very affordable with a nice decor. Staff can speak English so it's a good place for English-speaking tourists. The escargot and French onion soup was a highlight. However that's all this place has to offer. Even with a reservation, we had to wait 45min to be seated. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. They also go my order wrong even after repeating it back to us. The beef asado (a special at the time) was super dry and lacked any flavour - very disappointing. It's an ok place for an affordable bite but I would probably give this a miss and try something else.

Adjust your expectations for this inexpensive dining option Had to wait in line for 25 mins + a little while to order Snails with parsley Onion soup Satisfied, no remarks. Warm. Perfect for the price Ratatouille. It did what it needed to do Squash with blue cheese was totally delicious Profiteroles look great, and taste pretty good. „Floating Island“ dessert was really nice. So cute. Tastes like soft meringue. Service is good, especially considering the hectic atmosphere with full tables. Friendly and helpful waiters All the warm food came in quite hot for us, even though we read some people got cold food in the reviews

Amazing! Highly recommended, good food. Like homemade style, French food at a reasonable price. Worthy all the waiting time. We had a huge queue until the next block but we entered in 25 min total. You can also make reservations. Food quality = quantity = price ❤️

Good value for reasonably good food in Paris. If you are looking for french food at a budget price and still good enough, this is the place. There are many better french places but not at this price. Note that on weekends evenings, expect lots of people and students

Good onion soup and Veal (chef’s special). Friendly waiter. I didn’t like the chocolate choux with ice cream though.

I have always wanted to go here each time I visited Paris even though there are always massive lines. I understand why now the food is great, just like made at a french home, (I can imagine). I had a mashed potato and sausage dish wich was perfect and it was only 9 euro! In the centre of Paris!! The drinks, the entrées and the desserts were also pretty inexpensive and the service so fast and efficient. I guess there are a good number of tourist here but there were also many locals, because the food is so cheap and honest. We made a reservation and were seated pretty much right away. It was so comforting to sit down, order a bunch of stuff and not worry about the bill. The atmosphere is very lively but it is not too noisy. IN the end it is very easy to pay using the QR cod eon the table. Overall a perfect experience and I will return.

Amazing service and great environment! Bouillon Pigalle always has a line so plan accordingly. We sat on the second floor outside and it was so lovely. The escargot was delicious and flavourful. The steak Fritz and beef was steamy and amazing. The prices are very reasonable and I highly recommend this place. For dessert we ordered the chocolate cake and mousse. I would order just the chocolate cake next time, as that was my favourite

  • 5/5 Matt 2 years ago on Google
At first I was a bit sceptical about this place, but boy oh boy I was wrong. Such a nice atmosphere. A lot of people but food binds everyone together to one boiling pot of french cuisine goodness. We had four starters, two mains, four deserts and wine. Payed 69 euros. For all what we had I think it is very reasonable price and priceless experience. Book a table in advance if you don't want to wait outside in a long line.

  • 5/5 Dorotea . 2 years ago on Google
We loved everything and we will come again! Yes we know it might seams like s tourist trap, there is a line so you have to wait. But the interior gives you original Parisian vibe and it is definitely worth waiting! The food is amazing, all the recipes are classic french dishes and portions are big! Prices are low comparing with Paris restaurants! We highly recommend you to try: fresh onion soup and bone marrow for starters and for a mains we recommend: Steak with Roquefort sauce and French fries and Roast veal braised with onions and mashed potato. Veal was very tender and mashed potato just perfect! Highly recommend!

  • 5/5 Kaan B. 2 years ago on Google
Having a reservation is crucial to skip the long queue at the entrance. Prices are half of Paris's average; taste is fine. But when we compare it to its price, everything was excellent. One tip: Do not order dessert, it's not good.

  • 4/5 Jean Marie D. 3 years ago on Google
It's gonna be packed fast and line builds up for lunch 15minutes before opening Food is good and delicious, the staff is very on the go, rapid and on the ball due to the fast turnaround tables...YET very helpful if you stop and ask. Had escargot as Appetizer and had a slight hiccup as out of the 6 escargot 4 were missing the escargot in the shell!! Just told the waiter about the issue and a new dish with 6 new escargots with all snails inside!! As a Main took the calf's head! super good, super rich in flavours Red wine Cote du Rhone to complement the meal. On point too Price is fair for the Value for money you get
