I had the most unpleasant experience “in the care of” (or lack thereof) this office. I would not recommend it. Years past, I was a patient of a different Asthma and Allergy Associates location and never had this type of situation occur. The staff here are unfriendly and lack empathy in every regard. I didn’t get the name of the person at the front desk, or the tech that assisted me. I saw Dr. Ramirez. Dr. Ramirez has no bedside manner or empathy, and didn’t even pretend to treat me like a human. She walked in, barely a greeting, and told me (without talking to me about my symptoms or my situation) that it is idiopathic and completely wrote off my needs. When she asked about my current medication, her answer with a rude tone was, “That’s not strong enough”, as opposed to educating me and discussing additional information (or asking which doctor of mine previously instructed me). When she named some options, and I tried to discuss further, she cut me off by saying, “I’m just telling you your options.” The point of options is to weigh them; the point of seeing a doctor is to have a dialogue of options. My visit was absolutely pointless since Dr. Ramirez wanted to be the only one to talk (rather than have a discussion) and it did not yield any new or helpful information. She told me she would be back, but instead the tech came back to give me the visit summary. Dr. Ramirez noted a 6 week follow up on the visit summary, without any additional context. I asked if I could see her again since she mentioned she was coming back and was told no. I asked the tech about Dr. Ramirez wanting to see me in 6 weeks for a follow up and she responded something about how I didn't need to come back it I didn't want to. So I then mentioned that I’m not sure why she’d want to see me when she didn’t even listen to what I had to say during my visit. The tech responded with “okay”, led the way out of the room, and walked away. She did not say goodbye or say that my visit was over. This place was extremely unprofessional. Apparently it's more important that you wear a face mask than that you be treated like a human being.

The staff was amazing Dr Nina C Ramirez was extremely rude, the whole visit she acted like as if she was annoyed by my responses I will never come back here ! When I went to visit doctor Nina C.Ramirez she was extremely rude. When Dr Ramirez came in the room she started to question me but didn’t let me answer the questions all the way. She continuously cut me off with an attitude. And spoke to me as if I wasn’t doing the right thing when all I was doing was following what the receptionist told me when I made the appointment I couldn’t get 1 full sentence out without her rudely Interrupting me. As well when the doctor was checking my daughters breathing , I tried to add something to what she previously asked for and made a hand gesture as if to shush me to my other daughter who was holding the phone. When she could of politely said she needed to to be quite so she can hear. She is very rude and I wouldn’t recommend her!

I made an appointment with this doctor. I wish I got to meet this doctor. He came highly recommended. Unfortunately his office staff will be the reason I don't receive his services, and will be sharing with all friends and family to stay clear of them. Because of their rude, unprofessional behavior. Firstly, the Google business page needs to be updated. It shows a picture of the Ear Throat and Nose center (the next building over). A particularly busy location. I spent 15 minutes waiting in line, while on hold with Dr. Wax's office, to make sure I was in the right place. When I finally got through to their office, I had already waited in line 15 minutes by this point, I finally went next door to Dr. Wax's office where there was absolutely no one waiting. There was a very rude woman behind the desk. I said I was there for a 9:30am appointment with Dr. Wax and she said "oh yeah, we tried to call you. He won't be in this office today". I said when did you try to call? She said yesterday. So the day before my scheduled appointment, they tried to call me to reschedule but they didn't leave a voicemail. No email. No text. Completely unprofessional. I told her about the Google Business Page being incorrect and she said yeah that's google's problem, no other patient has ever told me that before. Check the google business page. That is absolutely your problem. Businesses manage their own pages. If there is incorrect information they can either correct it themselves or inform google to fix it. But wasting an hour of my morning is not acceptable. Finally when it came down to "rescheduling" the appointment I'd learned had been canceled WHEN I ARRIVED, she offered an appointment almost a month later. Are you kidding me? Find yourself a doctor AND STAFF who actually care. Because you won't find it here.

I will never understand the incompetency of the medical world. Out of 4 visits, only two times were we not turned away. Why? Utter lack of communication. I do not recommend this place — it’s a waste of time! First, they made no mention a pediatric referral was needed. I’ve gone elsewhere where that was not required but regardless, they only mentioned it the DAY of the appointment and it was almost impossible to get such documents from pediatrician that fast. Then, the next time, they were supposed to give a skin cream to apply before the follow up appointment but never did, and once they revealed this information, they were not accommodating to let us come back or wait the required hour for the cream to set in so we could avoid an appointment cancellation. Total incompetency. If your time is money, do not bother with this garbage facility.

Dr Ramirez is amazing. I have the utmost respect for her. She listens to what you have to say and doesn’t rush you like other physicians. She keeps up to date on all the new medications and different options for her patients. My asthma is a little unique and she never gave up on helping me find relief. I am so grateful to have Dr Ramirez for a Dr. The staff is the Plantation and Pembroke Pines offices are all fantastic as well. They answer my phone calls and questions with patience and kindness.

Please be aware that this office is not experienced. They did allergy testing on my child that should have NEVER a been done at his age. He was fine but things could have gotten bad. God was watching over us. When I got a second d opinion at an allergist at Joe DiMaggio, she was shocked. Do not go here. It's outdated and they are not friendly.

I WENT WITH MY SON TO HIS APPOINTMENT AND IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE THEY CALL THEMSELVES SPECIALISTS IN PEDIATRICS AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THE MOST MINIMAL EMPATHY WITH A LITTLE CHILD. THE CONSULTATION WAS A DISASTER DR MARK BARRY RUNNING TAKING NOTES MY SON ENDED UP CRYING IN ADDITION TO HAVING HIS EYES SICK THE ASSISTANT MIRNA WHO WENT TO HELP WITH THE TRANSLATION WAS RUDE BY SNAPPING MY SON'S CELL PHONE OUT OF MY HAND. I HAD NEVER LIVED AN EXPERIENCE WITH ANY DOCTORS OFFICE OF SUCH MAGNITUDE. DOCUMENT YOURSELF BEFORE GOING TO ANY DOCTOR WITH YOUR CHILD SO THEY DO NOT HAVE A BAD AND UNPLEASANT TIME

Dr. Ramirez is extremely caring, knowledgeable and a true doctor. She is fantastic with adults and children. I have been in her practice and have experienced her care as a patient and as the mother of a child who had allergies and breathing issues. Highly recommend her.

Dr. Zurik Waxenghiser, MD (Asthma and Allergy Associates of Florida) is the best allergy physician I have ever had, and I have been an asthmatic since birth. He is very professional, extremely knowledgeable, highly qualified, compassionate, understanding, a good listener, and funny. He is all anyone would like in a medical professional. Dr. Waxenghiser is an excellent doctor all around. No doubts about it.

Very impressed with Dr. Nina Ramirez’s professional bedside manner and expertise with treating our 5 year old. We were also so pleased she encouraged and considered our parent input, and how thorough, informative, and patient she was when describing the different treatments and options we had. We highly recommend this doctor, and practice.

Office and staff are EXTREMELY RUDE. Front desk lady was very disrespectful and unhelpful when I called a few days agol. I called three times and each person that I spoke with seemed very annoyed that I was calling. They were all itching to get off the phone so fast. I am not impressed with this office!!! They do not want to work!! Their front desk ladies need to learn some respect and courtesy!!

Dr. Khan is the best allergist I have ever had. she listens, and gave me meds that made an immediate impact on my life. She is patient , kind and caring. I come to Fl two to three times a year and always see her. Her office staff are also wonderful, they explain everything they do and always give me appointments that fit my needs. I will always see Dr. Khan in the future. She is the best physician I have ever had. I am so happy I was referred to see her.

Been a patient of this practice for over 20 yrs and had been to several locations, started in Miami, then Pines, then Hollywood (Dr is amazing/Staff NOT), Fort Lauderdale and back to Pines, Susy is the best nurse ever! I would follow her any place she goes! Keep in mind I live in Palm beach now and still go there…
