Family suites need a major reno. Water damage,mold, carpet lifting up in room, bathroom towels all had holes, dishes were dirty at check in. Hot tub doesn’t run. Office is only open very limited hours. 10:00-6 ? Location is great , Pool common area is beautiful. New owners seem friendly enough and understanding. I’m sure in time they can hopefully turn this place around.

Last weekend I “bought out” the motel for my daughters wedding. We encouraged our family and friends to stay together so the wedding guests could meet one another before the wedding & enjoy post wedding activities at the pool side and in the amazing grassy courtyard & BBQ bistro area. It was fabulous! We enjoyed three days of wedding festivities without the fear of inconveniencing other guests and the management and staff went way out of their way to make sure that the weekend was memorable for all of us. An absolute highlight for the weekend and something the bride, groom, family and friends will remember forever. Thank you Virender, Ritu, Scott and Puneet for all that you did to make this special weekend a lifelong memory.

Not an overall great experience upon arrival. My room wasn't cleaned. There were no towels in the room and the bed was a complete mess when i arrived. (as seen in the photo). I had arrived much later in the afternoon, so it wasn't like i had arrived when they were in the midst of cleaning. This place needs a much needed make over. New paint, new fixtures, new headboards, new bedding. Sheets were so scratchy, like sandpaper. I ended up sleeping on my hoodie over top of the blankets. Do better bowmont! you have a GREAT location near the beach, you should be better than this!

I chose this motel because a friend had stayed here a bunch of times before and had raved about how family oriented it is. She was 100% correct. I stayed with my two children who met so many other kids. The courtyard/pool area was fantastic. The rooms leave lots to be desired. The floors will make your feet black. The bathroom had a funny smell and mold/mildew in the shower. After speaking with some other families, a lot of people will bring their own cleaning supplies because the rooms do not feel clean enough. I would stay again mainly because of the location and the outdoor area.

Location is excellent, walking distance to great restaurants and the boardwalk. Good price too. Easy check in and check out with friendly staff. The actual accommodations themselves were a bit dingy. Stayed in a family suite, meant to be non smoking but it smelled like smoke. The floor seemed a bit dirty. There was no daily housekeeping either (I don't know if this is because of COVID). Bed was quite comfortable to be fair. If you plan on literally only sleeping there, then it's good value in terms of location. If you want a comfortable stay, then this isn't your place.

Easily the best value for a hotel in recent memory. The rooms are not very recently renovated, however are kept very clean and well furnished. Lovely staff with a cute dog at the front desk. Comfortable bed and a full kitchen! Probably the best deal if you want to ski at Apex

We were a very large group at his motel and the staff could not have been more gracious! The courtyard area is ideal! love the patio/barbecue area and the grass yard for games to play! Fantastic for young and old!

Absolutely adorable, and IMHO solidly about 30-40% *under* priced. You can tell that these are old bones made new, and that’s a very good thing. The retro vibe is celebrated here, and we absolutely loved it. And the essentials were there too: good A/C, excellent sleep on a nice firm mattress, good pillows, lovely toiletries, and a nice big bathroom. Would absolutely stay again.

Love the Bowmont motel. We stay here every summer. By far the best pool in Penticton. The staff are extremely helpful and nice. Location is perfect, close to the beach and the channel. Rooms are comfy and clean. This stay was really fun, they had a live band and bbq in the courtyard, they really go above and beyond to make sure you are having a good time. We will be back again next year. If you are staying in penticton, I highly recommend staying at Bowmont.

My first stay in a proper motel! Pleasant little apartment/rooms, fridge, cooker and coffee machine with coffee provided on arrival. Place feels kind of old and perhaps a little worn but it is clean and everything works. However it's the manager of this establishment which makes the place worth of visiting. The place is run by a very pleasant and helpful couple who gave us a warm welcome and assistance in navigating the area. We travelled 3 weeks in BC and the kindness of the staff will make this place very hard to forget.

Nice sized room with full kitchen. Good rate. Pool was closed for the season but it looked nice. Nice and large communal barbecue area. Bed was very comfortable and nice pillows. I would stay here again.

Good monthly rates in off season. Friendly staff, nice dog. Would stay here again.

This place has heart and the new ownership has proven time and time again that they are here to make our stay memorable. Thank you for the beautiful conversation and cupcakes for our sons first birthday. you went above and beyond expectations and continue to show your care ad compassion for your guests. I will stay here again and again and look forward to seeing all the beautiful faces here that greet you like family.

Old but clean.and ac is cold which was great. Great pool and bbq area. No rooms services all self serve. Worth going back though..location is perfect.

Great location and friendly staff! Edit: I forgot to add the the wifi was impossible to connect to. Very weak connection and I’m assuming too many people are on it at once. We booked a room last minute through the Spanish Villa Resort (they had no vacancy but found us a room at the Bowmont). We were very grateful for Alec who set up the reservation for us and made sure we had the key lock instructions upon our arrival. The rooms are spacious and it was great to have a kitchenette attached. The rooms are outdated and not in the best condition. The tv remote didn’t work properly, the mirrors were very dirty/smudged, then bed linens had stains on them, and the mattress was hard. It wasn’t the worst but not the best. For the price we paid, it was ok. It was a busy night when we arrived and we assumed it might be a noisy night. But we were in a room away from the pool and it was very quiet. The pros were that we were within walking distance to the beach and the restaurants/vendors. The cons were that the room was not in the best condition and that there is no staff after 5:30 pm (if it was noisy that night, then I’m not sure how we would address the problem with no hotel staff present). It was a good stay for 2 people and for a night or two. It wouldn’t be our first choice of accommodation the next time we’re in Penticton, but it’s a fair option if desperate and looking for an affordable place.

We've been coming here for over 20 years. It's clean, quiet, the pool is perfect and it's ideally placed to access shopping and the beach on Okanagan Lake. We've already booked for next year!

The management (Varinder and his lovely wife) is absolutely wonderful! They are so friendly and accommodating and even put on a free bbq for the guests! The pool is kept pristinely by Scott. There was a problem with our son’s AC which was seen to promptly by Scott. This is a wonderful, kid friendly place close to the beach and restaurants. Highly, highly recommend. It’s not fancy, but it’s a perfect place for families!

This was our second time Staying here . Great Management with great staff. Clean room with full kitchen, fridge and everything we needed. Walking distance to the beach and a nice pool. Will definitely be back .

Amazing people who work there that we now are happy to call our friends. Virender the manager is just the absolute best. He put up with my husband and I adding on days to make our stay longer and Scott the maintenance guy what can I say, the nicest guy around. We already have our 2 week vacation booked there for next year and can't wait. Thank you again everyone there and at the Spanish Villa for everything See you all next year

Lovely staff. Room was large, with kitchenette and patio. AC worked very well. Older style but with some upgrades. Bed was (firmish) comfy. Pool area and BBQ area were awesome. Great location.
