Opened in 2019, 5-storey high. Majestic looking building especially at night. Love the cosy room we stayed here. All the amenities provided, comfortable beds, fantastic shower etc. Breathtaking view from the pool, overseeing the sea. Like the fact that room cards are used to pass beyond a glass door before reaching the guest rooms. The gym and swimming pool are only available for hotel guests which is good. Courteous staffs

A very interesting and funky hotel with an interesting new approach to luxury. The rooms are the main focus of the hotel with an impressive and well thought concept with beautiful bronze details. The loft suite was superb with the only comment that it was a little narrow for the highest category room of the hotel. Other areas, and especially the breakfast, is where the hotel falls short. Nevertheless it deserves appreciation and a visit from you if you are visiting Penang and George Town.

It does have a prestige service & experience!!! Highly recommend for couple and young families. The hotel is fairly new 3yrs+ and is very clean and staff are very hospitable and friendly. Rooms are unique design with modern touch. Definitely a good experience to stay in a heritage building designed hotel with many amenities and great location to walk for food and sights to walk around all the way to hawker area and Armenia street is not too far. It has a nice hidden gem of night view from the pool to see the whole Penang night view of the bridge is a gem! Staff are speedy with their service and complimentary car park is easy to use! Definitely a place to be!

A lovely hotel located near the beach in Georgetown. From their rooftop swimming pool, you can get a great vista of the mainland and the ports across the straits. The hotel is not very tall but it is long. There are plenty of shops on the ground floor such as a convenience store, a cafe and a fine dining restaurant. I love their interior decoration. The is also a bar on the rooftop and an up and coming restaurant. The rooms are spacious and clean. The lighting design is very nice, and it exudes warmth and serenity. The room amenities are standard but I do love the local snacks I enjoyed during my childhood years. The bed is comfortable and the sheets and linen are fresh. They also have a car park and guests park for free. The street is quiet in the evening despite the hotel's popularity.

This is probably the most user friendly hotel in or Penang. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. On top of that, we were told the mini fridge contents were free of charge. The room was tasteful and functional, tho the shower looked a little odd, standing on one side of the room, shaped like a booth. Funky. One of the highlights is the pool. On the roof, with great views, and an awesome salt water pool. Location is awesome, not too crowded but near the jetties, great dining and convenience to public transport. Sure going to back again.

Had an amazing and experience stay here! Rooms: Very clean and comfortable. The mini bar is free and replenished everyday. Iā€™m amazed with the good beverages they offered. Toilet and shower: The toilet and shower are separated. For families, it may not be suitable especially the shower area. It is only covered with curtains. I would give an extra star if the toilet has a sink to wash our hands. Service: Excellent hospitality Gym: Pretty small space. Well equipped for a quick workout. There are drinking water bottles, towels and cleaning wipes to clean the machines. Only 1 torn yoga mat is provided. Infinity Swimming pool: Did not swim hence unable to comment on the pool cleanliness. Itā€™s quite small but with great view. Overall I had a wonderful time here! Would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional experience & service. Only thing is that the breakfast offer kind of repetitive, and the pool is quite small. Nice rooms option, exactly as photos on their website, very elegant & stylish with English theme interior & exterior. The building design almost like those you could find in Europe. Family friendly place. A lot of place of interest, shops & restaurant nearby.

Had a lovely stay and the service was just on point. Definitely try their afternoon tea, absolutely worth it and just done so well. We were greeted by Johan and the team were so welcoming and helpful. Pretty and such a relaxing ambience smack in Georgetown. Will definitely book again šŸ˜Š

Really disappointed. At first Iā€™m so excited to stay here as I saw most of the reviews are positive and the interior looks great. But the check in process make me frustrated. We came earlier at 1 pm to check in then the manager said need to wait until 3pm for the room. We understand that so we waited as the official check in time is 3pm. But we wait until 5pm still havenā€™t get our room. Even though we upgraded our room but also canā€™t get it. It is a 5 star hotel and the fees for one night stay is not cheap but how can the service is so poor. Really disappointed and sorry but i WONT VISIT AGAINšŸ˜ƒ

I often visit Penang and stayed in other 5 star hotels in Penang. Loved my experience in The Prestige. The interior design is unique with an Art Deco and retro feel to it which I absolutely adore. Reminds me of Brussels and New York. Staff is very kind and accommodating. On this trip we were burying my father in law ashes and I needed some cleaning material and Zain reception manager was so useful to provide everything we needed. Thank you Zain it means a lot. Please add in more plant based dishes to your menu, will be my only suggestions.

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel whilst in Penang. From the outside the building looks good however inside there was little attention to detail. There were several fire doors in the hallways which were unkept with dirt all over, completely ruining the aesthetic. There was no 24 hour room service, and staff refused to bring our grab food order up when we requested it. During check in the staff didn't even offer to take the suitcases to the room which was also surprising as this is a 5 star rated hotel. The rooms are also small and the bathroom is out of place and appeared to be slotted in after construction. The hotel felt more like a 3 star. I would not recommend staying here as it nearly ruined our trip. We were actually counting the days to leave Penang. Luckily we made a decision to stay at another place for one night which ended up being the best decision so far. Would not recommend this hotel and will not be coming back here.

Amazing stay, very clean, shower was superb! I mistakenly left my jewellery when I left. The management team was very responsive and help kept my jewellery safe! Also truly appreciated Intanā€™s help to arrange packing to deliver my stuff back to me as I stayed very far away. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Thank you so much for a memorable stay!

Beautiful hotel. Nice outside and especially inside. Very clean and neat. Room color make you comfortable and relax; carpet color is light grey which is not easy to maintain but looks very clean. Service is nice, all staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is so beautiful at sunset time. Location is convenient, to Chew Bridge or any in city sightseeing.

A very excellent experience. We were warmly welcomed by the staff even we even stopped the car outside of the lobby. The stay was very clean and the staff are always approachable if you need any help. Besides, the hotel manages our request very well. The decorations we requested was extremely satisfied. Highly recommended!

Room was clean and spacious. The local sweets as a welcome treat was a nice touch. There's no door to the bathroom, only curtains for you to draw so this may be an issue to people sharing rooms. Service was prompt and the front office staffs are very attentive. There's a Nespresso coffee machine in the room so that was a plus point. Oh and a really nice coffee place just 100m away.

The hotel is located along the coastal line. The white grand theme with huge columns attract loads of tourists, especially young ones in town for photo shoots. It's more like Alice in Wonderland, a lot of pink, white and gold themes. I can it's much newer than E&O. So if you prefer something modern and newer, I would recommend here. Room : not bad, but the bathroom is somewhat too open and less private. (3.5/5) Bed : I don't think mattress is that comfy.. I wake up with lower backpain in the morning. (2/5) Breakfast: I don't recommend breakfast.. you rather try Norm coffee across the hotel, and start your day with properly brewed cup of coffee. (2/5) View from the rooftop swimming pool : beach, nice. The water, however, is seawater. There are loads of shops in the hotel, and the open air concept, so it's quite interesting and spacious! But if you care a lot of quality and solid structure of the hotel, I don't think this would fit. But for something modern and clean, young. I think here is a good place to stay.

Everything was perfect, from the moment we arrived at the hotel. They served us a welcome drink of our choice (from the menu). The room is nice and comfortable, everyone slept well despite it being the first night as the bed and pillow are just so comfortable. The building design is beautiful with nice view pool on the top floor and with cafes and mini-mart at the ground floor. Definitely will come back and stay again. Thank you for the great hospitality.

Located close to Little India Penang (about 500m walking distance), this hotel exemplifies the traditional architecture with modern rooms. There's a small shopping arcade at the ground floor with a San Francisco coffee cafe, convenience store and the Glass House serving the dining options for the hotel. Ambiance is good reflecting the cosiness of this hotel. Had a slight bad experience with the reception staff eventually with the intervention of Manager Zain, my second stay was superb. Staff at reception could not handle the massive crowd during check in and their attentiveness drops. As a result, due to their stress their professionalism reflects to the service they provide. This can definitely be improved. The room itself is contemporary and clean. Open concept of the shower and the set up at the entertainment system really shows the effort that was put in. Definitely a good effort. The bed is super comfortable, I would want to just lie in bed and rest on their cosy bed. Great amenities provided. The entertainment system is outstanding, many free movies are available for viewing. There's also the infinity salt water swimming pool and gym in the facility worth trying. Be careful of the water bottle cap, managed to cut my finger as the cap ring broke off and it was sharp. Breakfast is really good. Whether you want to dine in at the Glass House or eat at the room, you're welcome to. Order the night before to avoid delay and difficulty in the morning. Superb breakfast to start the day. Pricing of this room is reasonable, worth a stay here. Ample parking available on the 1st floor.

At most this hotel is 4-star. And that is being generous. Bathroom is oddly placed within the room and throughout our stay it had a persistent sewer odour. One day they changed our used towels for new ones and the new ones smelled literally like *ss. Rooms look nice but small details and cracks make you wonder the thought/effort put into it. Rooms are not soundproof. Wifi is pretty good. Gym is way too small. Didnā€™t bother trying hotel food after reading some of the reviews. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well.

We were satisfied with the stay. We couldnā€™t check-in earlier, but they safeguarded our luggage until check-in time and also kept it after check-out. Pool and pool area are rather small, but clean and with a great view. Breakfast was great, with many vegetarian options. Staff was very friendly. Would recommend.

No room for check in until 4.45. receptionist wasn't being sincere apologizing. Another man came. He was being sincere in apologizing. We accepted. Room is nice. Cozy..clean. No towel provided until 5.30pm, made multiple calls but still waited for 1 hour. Said laundry has problem. Not as pleasant for the entire experience. Expect lots of kids at the pool in the morning. I saw like 12, with some parents all in the pool.

Rooms are quite nice. They are oddly shaped but it is understandable in a historic space. Service was fine. The breakfast was a big miss though. Not great options on the buffet and the ordered items were brought out multiple times incorrect. Staff at the breakfast observed dissatisfaction but made no attempt to address or fix. The space and location are 5 star but the staff have room for growth. The hotel is a great walking distance to food and nightlife.

Stay there for two days. Very nice and friendly staff. We arrived in the morning around 11, and they offered us early check in right away and last day check out time is 12pm. It gives us plenty of time visiting Penang hill. Itā€™s roof swimming pool gets gorgeous view. We went to swim every day and felt much relaxed. Highly recommended.

This hotel is really nice , super clean and 5 stars rating . The hotel staff did exactly what Iā€™ve instructed them to do to deco the room for our wedding anniversary. Staff are friendly . Walking distance to many amenities such as banks , food stall , 24 hours mart , Chew Jetty, Little India . Breakfast was good but could be better with more food choices . Room is spacious and comfortable. The only thing is the air conditioner is centralized controlled and our room is super cold especially at night . Literally we have to off the AC for the whole night . And about the gym , it could be better if there are some dumbbells and a mat to work with .Other than that overall , the hotel is nice šŸ‘

Nice place to stay in but it is a bit pricey. If can afford, then there is no problem. The breakfast offered are real good with very good services by the staff. Rooms are clean and tidy with a sense of comfy and enjoyment. The sea view at the pool are scenic and you can really enjoy the view there.

Quite a new hotel in a refurbished old colonial building. For the price of more than RM550 per night, the service doesn't really come with a smile though check in was a breeze. Design wise, pretty impressive what they have done to an old building. Award winning. Located in a very quite street with a couple of cafe nearby. An easy walk of about 500m from Little India and the livelier part of Georgetown. Room is quite small though well appointed. Bathroom is all glass but a bit oddly laid out. The king sized bed is very comfy. Free drinks in mini bar with a few cans of drinks and a beer. View from the window is a row of shops on with an empty street...basically nothing. There is a free welcome drink. Never take the wine. Neither the white or red. Worse than most house wines in restaurants. Not a hotel that will look forward to coming back again.

Location is great, near the jetties and old district is all just nearby. It's on the edge and to the south, so things north will be further to walk to but still great location overall. Kudos on parking, lots of free parking and easy to access. Rooms are new, clean and perfectly acceptable. No theme or atmosphere to the rooms, nicely appointed but no flavor per sae. Overall just fine. Hotel is big, in very good condition, really nothing whatsoever to complain about....except... It's a refurnishment of one of the old waterfront buildings that I assume was built in the early to mid 1900s. At least the outside feels like that as does the area. The hotel inside however, makes no attempt to carry over that theme or ambience. It's nice and new and clean but without any of the flavor that might have been incorporated to extend the exterior's history to the interior. That said, such a renovation means a higher price, so all in all a solid 4* for a Marriot property. I'd come again.

If I can give more stars, I would. My team n I were at The Glasshouse for a team lunch. Service was tip top and prompt. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The place is extremely Instagram-worthy. Their staff is trained well. We found a cockroache in two of my members food and they immediately acted on it, providing an explanation n apologies at the same time. They didn't just took them off our bill but also gave complimentary cheesecakes as we were celebrating a birthday. On top of that, additional 10% off total bill. I have never seen hospitality and generosity like this! Kudos to Prestige management for such excellence in staff training. Makes me want to stay in this hotel in my next trip to Penang just to experience such hospitality again.

Very enjoyable stay here! Service, rooms and amenities were top-notch. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is not exactly located close to most of the famous food places but you can easily get to them in about a 5-10 mins by grab. The benefit of this is a quiet nightā€™s rest. You can also get a beautiful sea view from its rooftop infinity pool as itā€™s close to the sea.

This hotel in Penang is truly outstanding! The rooms are new, clean, and beautifully designed, and the complimentary mini bar is a great bonus. Its central location in George Town is perfect for exploring the cityā€™s attractions. Not to mention, the friendly front desk staff provided excellent service, and the security guard offers a private car park. Highly recommended!

Stunning hotel. Beautiful inside and exterior. Very tidy and clean. The colour of the room helps you feel relaxed and at ease; the carpet is a light grey hue that is difficult to maintain yet appears spotless. The personnel is courteous and helpful, and the service is nice. Around sunset, the pool is really stunning. The location is handy to the Chew Bridge and other downtown attractions.

A wonderful and perfect hotel to stay in Penang. I had a great time at The prestige hotel in Georgetown. The pool view was great! Clean pool, all new gym, the food at the Glass house was very nice. Above all the staffs are all so helpful and friendly.. from the minute I parked my car and walk in to the lobby I was greeted and welcomed, The staff at the lobby front desk and customer service was all great! All made my stay very comfortable. Had dinner at the restaurant and the staffs there too was so friendly. Car park is big and clean. The room is brightly lighted up with a very unique design glass shower room. Love it. Even I had a short stay but the staff made it all very welcoming.. I will definitely return. Thank you all.. sorry for not naming any wonderful staff, Because all staffs did very well.. see you all soon..

We were there mid Jan. When we checked in, the toiletries were not replanished. The pretty boxes in the bathroom were 70% empty, placed nicely in the wooden tray. During our stay, I asked if they could help to post 4 postcards on our behalf, with stamps affixed (to Tokyo, Melbourne, Dublin and Manila). The gentleman kindly said yes. Sadly to say, after more than 2 months, none of our relatives got the postcard. The gentleman who attended to us when we check out was not familiar with the check out process. Generally, I think service is the problem. Other than those mentioned above, it is a beautiful hotel with good location.

The hotel is in a good location. Based on my experience, it is not suitable for senior citizens, may be comfortable for younger people. First day of my stay, i was given a room where the shower area water wasn't draining well. Next day i changed rooms. There are many good eateries surrounding the hotel, so there is no need to depend on the hotel food. My overall experience wasn't great.

Excellent hotel! I would want to stay here again when Iā€™m back in Penang. Room: clean and really comfortable. A very nice bed! Good standard of housekeeping. Mini bar: complimentary! Most importantly comes with quality products. Service: friendly, quick and accommodative Facilities: the gym although a little too small but itā€™s still good for quick workout. The pool is salted and has an amazing view! Parking: nice covered car park for hotel guest. You can use your room card for car park access too which is really convenient. They also gladly allow us to have a 2 hours late checkout šŸ˜„

The location is nice since its in the city. Convenience store is stone throw away about 20m/30m away aside the one downstairs open 8am till 9pm. The rooms is small and the bathroom/shower was inappropriate for friends or colleague to share room since the shower room are open, you can only cover with curtain. Note that I stay only in the room on level 3 so I am not sure if there are other suites. I dont think this is comfortable for company/family oriented stays. The breakfast was semi-buffet means some items you need to order of menu and when the day is packed your orders could be delay for a long time. In my case the delay was bad. So be sure to pre-order before you go down to have your breakfast. The staffs are friendly. I did not go to the gym but seems facility is good. Swimming pool was nice though no pool guard so those parent with kids need to monitor yourself. Price wise you can get better accommodation for same price.

Loved it. For one the hotel is spanking new so everything looks nice. Loved the styling of the room especially the bathroom... Perfect for couples... The water pressure of the shower is also stable...u won't get a hot shock if u know what i mean... Located in the city centre so very close to those street arts... It's actually bery close to the ferry harbour but no view from the room as the hotel is a low rise... U have to go to the roof top pool area to get a great view of the sea etc...

There are so many positive credits to this hotel, such as : The location is the best, close to many popular places around Penang town, such as the famous clans jetty, the pier, cafes and restaurants, and the famous nasi leak. Easy and fast check-in with a welcome drink, including beer or wine, really wow me. The hotel design and architecture are beautiful; I love it. The room is designed well, with a pretty separate toilet from the bathroom. Great initiative from the hotel to give a complimentary drink inside the mini fridge, which not many hotels do. Usually just water. The bathroom amenities are designed well, so pretty packing! Another WOW me is a Jar timeless memory, which inside contains the oldies candies from my childhood, it is such a sweet and romantic hotel. The rooftop garden and the swimming pool is another pretty spot in this hotel with a spectacular view of the Jetty and pier of Penang. Best to relax here in the early morning to catch the sunrise or late afternoon and evening. Love to stay again in this hotel for my future trip to Penang.

This is considered as contemporary 5 star Hotel and not classic type. The rooms are thoughtfully designed with ample space for hanging stuff. The swimming pool water is very salty, probably due to the pool being next to the sea. The location is relatively good, being close to Chinatown and little India. However, there is no pub or bar nearby and the streets around the corners are dark at night as the street lights are not working.

A slight alternative hotel that served well. I only had a night in the hotel, but did find the check in experience good and the room very clean. The bed was comfortable and the pool was awesome. The breakfast didnā€™t have a heap to offer but they did it just right. I did notice the restaurant was impeccably managed the service was quick and polite. The hotel is set in a good location for exploration and is wholly recommend. The corridor was a bit dark in my opinion, thatā€™s the old less that positive mark.

Itā€™s a beautiful hotel. All the staff are friendly and service is fast. I would like to thank Jack and Jagadish for helping me recommend a food court for the local and to help with grab transport. Even the breakfast place when I asked for a bag to put my drinks. It came within 2 secs. Service is very efficient. The room is spacious and clean. Parking is also easy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back there again when in Penang.

That was a wonderful stay with my husband here. Both of us loved the cozy chic room atmosphere and ambience here. Thank you for being so lovely with complimentary mini birthday cake for us! The chocolate cake tastes good and fluffy even itā€™s free! The sweetness is just nice. Weā€™re welcomed with two complimentary drinks and a free mini bar as well. The foreigner housekeeper is so helpful and kind. Worth to get a token of appreciation from the company.

Great looking hotel with excellent location. Nice amenities nearby. Lot of culture to experience, especially Little India. The staff is very polite and helpful. The room is clean, has a refreshingly light design. Fitness room and roof top swimming pool are well equipped and presented. The restaurant is the icing on the cake. Whether it is breakfast or dinner, you will find something you like. It was the first time I stayed at The Prestige, but definitely not the last one!
