Staffs are good and place is neat.. i visited kodambakkam branch since it was a close to my house...but not satisfied with the medicines they asked us to buy . Unnecessarily prescribing eye drops which is not recommended by most of the doctors whr i approched for second opinion .. went to Agarwal because of school camp .. but not satisfied with this medicine prescription...going to meet them again on Monday and gonna return back the medicine.. can't take risk with eye tat too for a 10yr old kid ..

My father had a problem with his vision. We visited the hospital for a consultation, and the doctor recommended cataract surgery. The hospital handled the patients with the utmost care. However, the hospital could extend concession of 10 to 20 percent on medicine as even smaller pharmacies are offering discounts.

I came to Dr.Agarwals Eye hospital Kodambakkam, for my mother's cataract surgery. While enquiring about insurance, they said everything will be covered under cashless, and we have to pay only the copay and non medical expenses. We arranged for the procedure date and time. Today (20/02/24) at 9:30AM they scheduled the operation. 9:25AM they called the attender inside a discussion room. And asked to pay the amount of 23500/- as they were saying insurance only pre approved half of the amount. Which was not informed before. We understand that there is a copay involved which is 10%. But what they are asking is to pay 50% of the total cost. It's a huge mental pressure to arrange money in the last minute.. Now they have agreed to proceed after getting a written letter stating that after completion of the procedure they will send the claim to insurance and whatever balance we need to pay. Please be aware of these things in terms of insurance. They are not transperent.

Absolutely filthy service they are running behind money and admin people and the manager for the insurance is not aware about the complete process they said one amount initially and if it's claim amt is high. after initial payment approval they are not ready to proceed with the operation until they get the entire amount to be paid though it is a cashless insurance the forcing for money to be paid by cash not ok for insurance. Senior citizen parents are made to wait for hours together. Mental trauma we undergo is immense don't go to Agarwal. They don't giv transparent Billa also

I am writing this review from New York City. I recently visited Chennai to have cataract surgery on both my eyes. I approached Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital branch at Kodambakkam / Ashok Nagar. I’ve had cataract surgery on both eyes at this hospital. I thankfully appreciate all the Doctors for their great care during the surgery. I thank for their thorough explanation to me about the treatment. All the support staff were excellent and took good care. This day, Dec. 31st 2023, will mark one month that has passed since my surgery. I am so pleased with the outcome of my surgery. I am so grateful to this Hospital. I just wanted to write and express my gratitude for the great treatment. To have my vision restored is a priceless gift. It is wonderful to have good vision, thanks to the cataract removal and lens implants. Things are so much clearer and sharper in my eyes now. May the coming year bring all success, new hopes, new dreams. Happy New Year 2024.

This hospital is very nice. Dr and workers are kindly spoken and testing carefully. Good guidance to newly wear specs person to choose right one.

Could have been more organized. No systemic approach in sending persons for check up made. It was totally haphazard and took nore than 4 hrs.
