I have left several messages to your patient advocate with no return call. About a month ago I wrote a review crying in front of your staff. My doctor called to apologize and stated she would help me with several things. Nothing has changed and it’s been since July I was diagnosed with asthma and I still don’t have medication for it! I keep getting the run around from all your depts. I am going in today to see a doctor I’ve never even seen or met before to try to help me at least breathe. Who I can file a formal complaint with?

O stars If I could. I would not recommend this hospital at all. Came in at 615 pm got called at 10pm thru ER (taking all patients thru ER)and Navajo receptionist that sits at front once you get in is very rude and bossy! She's so fake with everything that comes out her mouth ! She has no compassion or care !she bosses all employees around and they all look like like there scared of her ! She should not be doing this job ..and we did notice her picking and choosing charts !!she let people that just got there go in ahead of us and us who have been there for hours still waiting ! Very sneaky! as well as the doctors. They don't care if your in pain .you try to explain the situation and rudly interrupt I get your a doctor and you know everything but you don't know my issues you just assumed !same with nurses they just threw bag of medicine at me and said here take this etc..not once or did I have chance to ask what are reason I'm taking the medication. I left there puzzle the doctor never came to see and explain my pain and what medication were for!!!! Shame on this place! Do not go here you will suffer in pain and wait for hours just to get treated like trash!

All I see is negative statement and complaints on PIMC staff and the experience in the ER or Urgent Care. The average wait time in any ER is 7-10 hrs. So stop complaining and take better care of yourselves. Secondly, if you don't like to get FREE care, then get a job and medical insurance and go some where else so you don't have to wait....but you will never see that happen because they are lazy! I have use PIMC for all my healthcare needs and they have a done a great job and I knew that I was going to wait, so I was ready for this process. Keep up the great work PIMC and don't listen to these people that complain.

I have already filed a formal complaint through Janice in your patient advocate dept. I emailed my concerns to her about my behavioral health doctor who is rude, judge mental and does not want to listen to my concerns. I saw her today and she had no idea that I had filed a complaint about her. She scoffed at me three times during our 8 min sitting down. What doctor do you know does that you? I even had to point that out to her and she still doesn’t feel that how she treats patients is so wrong. I will be filing a formal complaint through another dept. never ever have I had such troubles until I was in her care. What’s going on with your hospital? Why am I constantly not be listened to?

Horrible hospital. The staff is rude, they act like you're bothering them just by existing. No one communicates with each other, they just send you different person every hour who gathers your information by scratch instead of looking at your file. They can't spell names right. They can't locate your insurance right. I'm currently on 35 hours of no food because they don't know when or if the surgeon is coming so I'm being made to starve on the off chance that he might show. Disgusting Healthcare place.

Whats the point of asking for reviews if most of them all sound the same and it doesn't get any better? ER up front staff is still Very Rude and Not compassionate at all ! For God sake ~ how can u call yourself a nurse if all you do is sit up front in the ER laughing all loud and joking while sick people are in waiting room sick for hours and hours. Very Sad !!

I have positive experiences with the doctors and nurses. Rude lady at pharmacy. I went in while pregnant and with my toddler. I was just getting calcium and prenatals. I didn’t know they had a specific setup for it. Usually where I go you give them your name and they call your number/# and give you your prescription. I went to the window and one of the ladies at the window said in a loud tone, “Can I help you?!” I told her my info and so I waited for about 45 min standing in the hall. This other lady with a toddler came and was chatting with them and they were nice to her. She looked to be a white woman and they had her prescription ready in about 5 min. Then that mother walked by me and said to her child, “See, it pays to be nice to people.” I was getting really annoyed at this point and wished I created a scene in front of everyone there! I went back and I asked a guy in the back and he gave it to me very quickly and he was so nice. I later figured out on my own you’re supposed to check in twice which was new to me. No one ever questioned or asked me if I needed help. I felt I had to interrupt them. I was standing there with no chairs and I had to ride a bus there with a stroller and being heavily pregnant. Other than that it was ok, it was tainted by that worker and other mother. Probably thought she was the nicest thing ever and she says a passive aggressive comment to me when I also have my toddler. I wished I talked back to her. What a b****! I guess all that talk was fake happiness with a snide comment like that. Ugh!

Went in last night to Emergency Room for intense back pain.....total wait of 7 hours from 10pm all the way to 5am. In between the 7 hours, they took my vitals and did lab work...but that's it.. I never saw a doctor..im still in pain.. Around 5 am i decided to just go home cause it was becoming to uncomfortable to just sit there and wait I understand that hospitals can be understaffed...nurses can be overworked....i try to be understanding....but when I'm sitting in the chair barely able to move and I hear the staff chitchat about what they got their spouses for Christmas.....it was a bit upsetting. I'll try them another day I guess

I am so upset right now. I have been in the ER since 11am. Sunday I slipped on my tile floor and landed flat on my back. I hurt my back and I am in a lot of pain. Right after I got here they had me go for xrays then had me sit in waiting room. I have been waiting for over 4 hours now. I asked at the window why it was taking so long and why so many people are getting seen before me. They told me it depends on what's wrong with you. I went back up an hour later crying. I told him I am in so much pain I didnt know how much longer I could wait. He would not tell me anything just told me I had to continue to wait. I dont know what to do. I feel like I'm in a catch 22.

My husband had an appointment today, his first appointment with his primary care provider. My husband is a recovering alcoholic, and any day sober is a good day! This Doctor asks him how long has he been sober, while he was thinking about it, she says “a couple days”. That really discouraged him. He has been sober for two weeks now, which is a big deal for him. She could have ruined his sobriety with her horrible attitude, and lack of compassion. We left after this, and will be getting a different provider. Every healthcare worker my husband has had there is so rude, and grouchy, and for what? People don’t go to the hospital just to go, they need help with a little compassion!

First and foremost, I appreciate all healthcare workers. Everyone was nice for the most part. My partner and I tried to be patient, however we were not seen after six hours. We got there at 730 PM and left at 130 AM. We asked how much time was left and they couldn’t tell us. There were people who waited 10-30 minutes after us and were seen. We asked why and they said they had priority. My partner had a growing infection so I guess that’s not considered priority. There was also a baby who came in right after us and they were never seen after five hours. I definitely didn’t have high expectations for our first time here but I would rather be thousands of dollars in debt from an urgent care visit than come here again.

Worse hospital ever!!! I won't recommend anyone going to this hospital... Takes long time to get an appointment and takes forever time to get blood tests back and I still never got my dad blood test back. My father died sooner than I was told. One doctor told me 1 thing then another doctor said this... When you try to call them to make an appointment omg its takes about 45 mins to an hour to reach anyone in the office and when you do make an appointment its a month out... I will never ever go back there ever again. This hospital should be shut down!!!

Very unprofessional went there after I was rear ended on the freeway after I worked 8 hours and picked up my son from daycare. after waiting 3 hours the NP Juli comes in and is very rude and judgmental no asking how we are feeling if my sons okay just very rude and unprofessional. the nurse was super mean no compassion or understanding for someone especially a 19 month old baby who was just in a car wreak. I will be contacting the patient advocate about my unpleasant experience friday night. And reporting this hospital to the BBB

I have never felt so terrible in any hospital I have ever been in. I went to the bathroom for literally three minutes and I heard the lady call out my name. I hurried as much as I could and went to the window to explain I was in the bathroom. When I told the lady she rudely interrupted me and said no take a seat. Not to mention her playing on her phone and showing coworkers what’s she’s looking at. Absolutely terrible service from her.

I was born here and I’ve always received medical attention here. Due to being over the age 18 I don’t receive ACCHS anymore. So I have to get seen here. Every time I come in the ER, the doctors are extremely rude and deaf tone. I don’t understand why non-native doctors work here if they don’t treat our people with respect. I’ve come here multiple times by myself since I am over the age of 18, I don’t require a parental figure to come with me anymore. Every time I come in the ER the doctors are rude, sarcastic, and not very helpful. I am a high risk pregnancy and I came to ER to get seen for something that was concerning to me. Womans clinic told me to come to ER if I ever had this issue so I did. The first doctor I first spoke to was very rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful. Which made me so upset I started crying. I literally had a panic attack because I felt like the dr didn’t care or didn’t want to help me and started crying hysterically because he was so rude!!! Unlike any doctor I’ve ever talked to. I’ve never felt so embarrassed in my life, I shouldn’t have to beg for medical attention. I asked to see another doctor. The second doctor that came in was very helpful and I had a better experience with him but I am honestly traumatized and I never want to come back. IHS GET BETTER STAFF WHO AREN’T RUDE TO OUR PEOPLE AND THAT ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT US NATIVE PEOPLE IM SICK OF BEING MISTREATED.

My daughter broke her wrist and i had to bring her into the ER. From the moment we walked in, the triage nurse was sweet and very efficient. we were brought back into a room very quickly and saw the nurse within 5 minutes. He was incredible with my nine year old daughter! He was funny and had her laughing! He made her relax which she needed, and made sure she was comfortable right away! Then we had a resident as well as the attending see her and get her care right away. Within an hour we had xrays confirming the break and we were well on our way to getting the bone set and her more comfortable. Absolutely everyone we came in contact with that day was so incredibly sweet, efficient and really seemed to care for my daughter. While getting it set and casted was not fun for my daughter, the staff was incredibly patient and made sure she was as comfortable as possible and were incredibly comforting in the painful times. I was so incredibly impressed with our care that day and so so glad I decided to bring her in. Thank you PIMC ED!

I have a lot of mixed feelings of PIMC- I've very grateful for free healthcare. I want to highlight the Lab Dept!! Every time we've been in there (and it's been quite a few times with my kids) the team taking blood and helping with testing is incredible. They are friendly, even remembered us when we were there two days in a row. They make an otherwise uncomfortable situation something we leave with a smile on our faces. Once, my oldest daughter was quit queasy after and they addressed her with care and concern. They have an upbeat attitude, a smile behind their mask, and they genuinely care about you and seem like they want to be there. They are the best part of this hospitable by far! (I hope you guys see this and share this with them). I have also had some great Doctors there- in the ER multiple times, a few in the pediatric clinic, lately they have been very caring, comprehensive in their approach, and kind. This however has not always been the care we received there. My lack of a star is because the rest of the staff is very difficult to deal with. (Almost) every time I schedule an appointment, or speak to someone on the phone, or talk to an MA they are clearly not wanting to be there. Yesterday when we were waiting to be brought back to a room in peds, the MA was sitting in the room directly in front of us with the door open facetiming someone about a remodeled home... so we waiting and listened to her entire conversation. Unfortunately, the people that are the least kind or concerned about you or your wellbeing tend to be the people you have the most interaction with. Last note, working in healthcare myself I cringe and the lack of care they take for HIPAA. I can tell you all the details of the other patients that came through ER Triage today (after check in when they were being triaged by a doctor), including name, DOB, why they were there, that so-and-so came from Gallup New Mexico and has hep B, all the medications she was on... etc all while sitting at the opposite side of the ER Triage area. (I was cringing so bad- relayed it to my personal team at work as an example to NOT be like). That being said, if you're going to PIMC it's more than likely because you are Native and have free healthcare there (us too) and if you could you would rather spend the money to go somewhere else. I'm sure there are hospital administration that is working towards improving, but we've been going there for decades and pretty much always the same experience.

I will only come here if I really really need to be seen. I took my son to the ER last week to be seen. They literally took us in right after a patient just left. The room was sooo dirty and the mans urine sample was still on the table. Who is in charge of this hospital? Will a phone call even be worth it? Also the person who examined my son looked like she was just a nurse and told me he had a allergic reaction and gave us benadryl. He was worse the next day so I took him to Phoenix children's and turns out he had a bad viral infection. I will never take my son back into that ER.

Went to ER on Mon 3/21. Arrived at 6PM. Screened & put in a room. No one came to give update until after about 2 hrs. 9PM finally doc came in to examine, prescribed and received meds out by 9:30 PM. Provider was professional he deserves 5 stars. Other staff are very unfriendly, rude, non empathetic. During my wait time in the room. My mom was waiting in the car. She did not want to drive back home then back. My phone battery died, so I could not give her updates. So, she called ER to check if I was still ok (because she saw other people get discharged who checked in after me). Whoever answered at ER was so rude, sarcastic & un professional. She told my mom nobody by my name was even checked in at ER or Fast Track. She then transferred her to Fast Track and a lady named Karen answered. She also said nobody by my name was ever checked in. Meanwhile, I was in room 6 waiting, waiting. Karen was also very un professional on how she handled the call. Next day I called for Covid Test results, which provider suggested to test me just in case. Called ER & they said they don't give results over phone. That I have to walk in to Medical Records and request it through there. I think that is a very inconvenient way to provide results. Being sick and exposing people, it defeats the purpose. I think the ER staff are making up their own rules based on their mood. It seems they have no structure and no supervision on how they treat people. Just because some people are uninsured or have financial hardships and have no choice but to use IHS does not entitle the staff to treat us like we are animals. ER staff can be better humans & treat patients with respect and dignity.

They didn't give me a regular doctor they gave me a health practitioner and she doesn't have a clue about eating healthy or anything and she was very critical of me for trying to solve my problems nutritionally. She actually mocked me. I never went back because we just didn't connect at all. I think I have more education in chemistry than she does just sayin'. She didn't even know what Vanadium was and it's on the periodic table of the elements. Sorry I didn't elaborate before I'm giving this review at your request.

They changed the way the Star Clinic works. Was second in line before it opened and they ended up making an appt for me at primary care for a later time! Not right at all, I waited at star clinic to be seen there early so I could return to work asap. And the ppl who showed up after us got to go in and be seen when it opened. Whoever came up with this idea needs to get fired.

First and foremost none of this is exaggerated. I have had 2 okay visits here once for a normal blood test and the second for 2 prescriptions I need to literally live(albuterol & QVAR). Both went without incident. However, my other two visits stand out to me. One was a little over a year ago which was my first ER visit(Which is the only way to be seen if you've never been to their facility in the past.). This visit was for deep painful sores on my foot and leg. I waited for 15 hours, again no exaggeration. After my 15 HOUR wait I was told nothing was wrong and to just give it time to heal. No antibiotics, no acetaminophen, nothing at all. 15 hours for literally nothing, except of course a chart number to actually schedule appointments. The second was tonight which promted me to write this review. I called from Flagstaff yesterday and confirmed the location, comfirmed they accepted prescriptions from outside facilities, confirmed the closing time, confirmed everything I would need to pick up said prescriptions. Location was confirmed on 16th and Indian school, closing time would be 10:30PM however I was advised to show up by 8:30PM to get my prescriptions processed. Before ending the call I confirmed everything again and advised I was coming from Flagstaff(2.5 hour drive). The guy happily and politely wished me well and ended the call. I show up at around 7:30PM and the lady at the front tells me they dont accept outside RXs and they arent a normal pharmacy. I tell them i am aware they are not a regular pharmacy but I spoke with someone stating i can receive my putaide prescriptions and reiterate what the man on the phone said, she rudely proceeds to tell me she will get a pharmacist. This is where this visit turns from bad to one of the worst human encounters of my life(remember no exaggeration). I dont know if Mr. Donald Yates has ever spoke to another human or has ever slept a day in his life. I am usually a non judgemental person however this person, if he can even be called a person, was ridiculously horrible and rude for no reason other than being an angry, power seeking, dead eyed runt. I first tried to calmly explain what I was told via the phone call and what prescriptions I had while being cut off mulitple times and told I didnt have a chance to get the medications filled because for one "he hasnt even heard of one of the prescriptions", this being the popular QVAR and two none of his staff members talked to me. He kept telling me how wrong I was, how i had a better chance of getting my prescription filled next door, how i should just pay for my prescriptions if I needed them, & how i was running out of time to get the prescriptions next door and also how busy he was. I told him how horrible, rude, & unapologetic he was being to which he responded again with dead eyes "Why should I be sorry.", understandable if this was a normal conversation but not from a "healthcare professional". I ended the conversation and went to their star clinic where the front desk lady was great and informing. Bad news was given but was given right. I was advised I would have to have one of the doctors at their facility write the prescription but this could only be completed by being seen which at that time was impossible due to them having no other appointments available for the day. I was advised to return the next day at 7:30am for a walk in as they dont do appointments. This whole fiasco could have been avoided if I was given the correct information over the phone the previous day however it would not have been a fiasco if the pharmacist knew the terms "empathy", "de-escalation", or anything of the sort. So, in conclusion.... Mr. Donald Yates is a trash "pharmacist" and should be retrained as a "professional" or retire as he has probably seen enough and needs some undeserved rest. The phone staff should be better informed. The ER should be better staffed. Star clinic keep up the good work, gold stars all around.

My daughter's doctor referred her to talk to a therapist in the mental health department during an unrelated doctor's visit in the pediatric department. My daughter is still in high school and just turned 18. So I guess my daughter missed one appointment and the following week she was ready for her appointment, rushed home from school to wait for more than 40 minutes for a Phone appointment with the mental health professional who never joined the meeting. My daughter was in tears after that ordeal, waiting to talk and things off her mind but was not able to. This morning someone called my daughter and told her she was discharged because she missed 3 appointments. Ridiculous, for employees/Representative to call and make a decision like that, is completely unfair and untrue. This person could have called asked and discussed and heard my daughter's side of it but instead my daughter was dropped. No wonder so many people die from suicides because it seems nobody cares. The federal government should take all funds given to this hospital for mental health care and find another way or professional institution to manage this department. They should get rid of the bad employees, the one's who don't care, the ones that are just there for the paycheck.

Trying to schedule an appointment is impossible. For dental and women’s health, it is absolutely absurd. I went to see someone in the women’s clinic about 5+ years ago regarding some reproductive health concerns, I was told several times that nothing was wrong. I finally went out of PIMC for a 2nd and 3rd opinion, and something’s came up. The provider ordered a lab that costs $700 to complete. I don’t have $700 to complete that lab. I called PIMC to schedule the lab and get nothing but a run around. I call to schedule a primary care visit and they said until the 26th. I have been waiting 5+ years for someone to find something, now I have to wait even longer on account of PIMC employees not addressing their patients health concerns.

I have been a patient in the Physical Therapy department for over 6 months. I have experienced excellent treatment from my PT. Not only was the treatment excellent, but the atmosphere of kindness, thoughtfulness and respect from her has helped me heal emotionally as well. It was a blessing for me to have worked through my therapy with her.

Pimc pharmacy was amazing tonight. 5 stars to Vivian and team. After a long day of work I expected to go to the pharmacy and wait for hours on end and I was in-and-out in under 20 minutes. I was struggling with the automated system and when I went in Vivian was so helpful and kind and pushed my order through without hesitation. Best experience ever.

I appreciated everything they could do for me, they really do need more funding, but I see they’re doing a good job with what they have, almost every healthcare worker I encountered was professional (in the ER department) except in labs, they’re fast to snap at you, when I snapped back the lab tech manners changed, not okay. However the nurse that was working with me was very professional at her job, very nice woman, she made the experience a pleasant one, and the doctor was polite at explaining why I couldn’t be helped and did all he could.

We went 2 days in a row . My brother is in so much pain he is crying. 1st time they ran a fever test and negative for that they gave him some i v stuff to ease the pain and sent us home . Why no blood work ? Seems rushed and just wants to kick us out to move on . Reason why I say that cause the 2nd day we went he has a fever and the doctor was like we will redue the test . His fever is 101.2 on 2nd day . The doctor also saw he was in pain and asked if he is in pain and she just said we will redue the test . Why not give him pain medicine while he is waiting?? Nobody was mean or rude just seemed super rushed the 1st time .

The best ER team around! I am a mom of three and I have my own health issues as well. Over the past years I’ve visited the ER a lot sadly. Lance McCary is by far the best ER doctor. He has diagnosed two of my children with viruses their pediatrician and other doctors failed to find. My son, six, was sick for a year straight. Lance was the one to find he had three viruses, that were rare, especially in vaccinated children. He was the first doctor to find out what was wrong. Since then, we got the right surgery done and my son, 7, hasn’t been sick all year!!!! It’s amazing! Lance is amazing and has helped my family so much! I usually try and make sure to go at night, that way I’ll be able to have him help my family. Truly PIMC needs to acknowledge Lance McCary and his work! Please keep him forever!!!

My name is Ethel Rhoades and i just recently had surgery on my foot by Dr. Bello and she did a superb job, and years prior she did surgery on my other foot with an excellent job on that one as well. So for me on a scale from 1 to 10, for Dr. Bello i give her a 12. Thank you Dr. Bello for your excellent work and also thank you for the whole podiatry team as well.

I've been taking my kids to the pediatric clinic since my oldest was 2 he is now 11. I have 4 kids total. I used to be able to call and schedule an appointment for the same day sometimes the following day. It was great for them to be seen quickly but now these last 2 years I've been haven't been able to do that. I called just now and they don't have any openings until the 28th. I loved our but since we can barely see her I'll be searching for a new pediatrician for my kids. Also another thing is that they changed their appointment line. I waited 45 min to speak to a scheduler. What happened to the old system? Is their only one scheduler??

I've received some of the best care I've ever had at the Women's Clinic by Dr. Hadivand here. Can't say enough good things. She took her time and caught things that other providers missed. I am very grateful.

In the past 6-8 weeks, I have been to the Physical Therapy dept., when I arrrived I could hardly walk and my left leg was stuck in one position. Douglas Henry helped alot, to get back to walking and hiking again. Dry needling, didn't know it existed, was a blessing! Helped me move my leg again. I was walking with a walker, in pain, couldn't sleep, but after 5 visits, just a little stiff and getting stronger. PT is an excellent resource and very informative about how the body works and to find better solutions to my difficult situation. Thanks Physical therapy Dept. and Douglas Henry, for helping me get back to work and my usual activities, pain free, but a lot of hard work needed!!

I have had to take my child twice in the last 6 weeks and both times they treated my child very well. I cant complain on the service we received in the ER. Every one was nice and very attentive. From the girls at the check in window to the nurses and doctor……The first time we were taken back right away (my child was very sick) they took care of her so well and this last time for a very sprained ankle. we were in and out without having to wait very long thru fast track. Thank you to the ER team …

I had a wonderful experience at PIMC earlier this week. All staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful for my needs. They answered every question I had and helped me establish everything at their facility. Wait times were not too long and everyone was efficient. Was impressed with the lab- usually my veins are difficult to find but the lady who took my blood found them instantly. I'm happy. Excited to continue my care here.

I came here for help from the ER. The WORST experience i ever had. Came here 4-12, Midnight, TILL MIDNIGHT. Mind you, I'm pregnant and was given THE WORSE treatment. Especially the doctor that i was seen. I don't recall his name but he definitely wasn't respectfully nor patient at all. He clearly saw i was in pain while trying to my Ultrasound. No reassurance, nor asked if i needed a break. Mostly seemed like he didn't even wanted to be there at all. I felt so uncomfortable, didn't feel safe with the hands of that doctor. The nurses in the waiting room were nice regardless. Except the one who helped me, she was nice at first. Once i complained about the urging pain i was still in. All she did was listen than walked out, didn't help regardless. Above all else, don't come to this hospital. Especially the ER, i wish I could rate this place 0 stars >_>

Went into the ER the night of my car accident due to some injuries sustained in my hand. Was told multiple times by multiple people that despite what it looked like, my thumb wasn't broken. The hand was not wrapped and all I was given was some muscle relaxer and told to take pain medication at home. Two months later I finally come back to get my hand checked out because it was still in pain only for my doctor to tell me yes, my thumb was broken the entire time for the last two months. She was also curious as to why the staff didn't do more the night of or follow up. Free healthcare should not mean lack of care.

Hello, my name is Ralphalita Joe. When I first started Physical Therapy, I was in a wheelchair, crutches, a boot, ankle braces, cold packs. I couldn’t walk. I was in so much pain. Now, after I received dry needling it helped my pain so very much!!! If I didn’t receive this treatment I wouldn’t be walking again with a forearm cane. I’m so, grateful to my Physical Therapist, Dr. Henry to be able to practice this treatment, and assistance therapist Felicia . Dry needling has helped me be able to do my needed exercises. I’m so grateful for their love and care!!! getting me to walk, and live life. I love them, with all my heart!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️

I always have had an awesome experience at the Indian hospital. I been here for my chronic utis and for my pregnancy. The nurses and doctors are extremely nice and helpful. I am pleased with my visits and feel welcomed. I came in the other day for severe acid refluxes and they prescribed me the right antibiotics along with tips and care. Sometimes it takes awhile for the medication but I think it’s worth it if you come in at a reasonable time. I definitely recommend

I was seen in Podiatry today, had an appointment. Everything went well - checked in, got screened, and waited for about 5-10 mins before being seen by the medical staff. The staff were very friendly and attentive to my medical issue. Dr. Pettengill performed the procedure and was very friendly, answered all my questions, and walked me through the procedure (which did involve getting numbed up). He made sure I understood all the post-care instructions - was never rude, never tried to talk over me, or simply try to move on to another patient until I was taken care of. 5 stars all the way around, great staff. Keep up the great work you do

Hi, my name is Bernice Fuson. I had started my physical therapy in July of 2022 last year. I was in a lot of pain in my lower back. It was pike I could barely walk and get around. It was so excruciating that I could not do things with my family or grandkids at home specially spending some time with my grandkids. I hate to tell them, that I can't. But once we talked about the options of either surgery or the dry needle therapy. I chose the dry needle therapy, and to see if it really helped and it did. Dr. Henry is the best Dr. and very helpful, nice and explains every thing to andgives u some exercise to do to avoid pain. But the dry needle therapy really helped and also avoid me for having back surgery. And it also gave me the energy to do a lot more with family, work and enjoy life without the pain being in the way. And has improve my walking and other activities I can do. Thank u DR. Henry and all the staff members that work in the physical therapy department for all the hard work and have the patience to work with patience that are in a lot of pain.

I recently visited the PIMC Phoenix Indian Medical Center's emergency room last week due to an eye infection, and I must say I had an outstanding experience. From start to finish, the level of care and efficiency displayed by the staff was truly commendable. Upon arrival, I was promptly attended to by the medical staff. Within five minutes, they had taken my vitals and gathered essential information. This quick response time immediately put me at ease, knowing that my health was a top priority to them. The highlight of my visit was the doctor's exceptional care and professionalism. The doctor I saw was not only courteous and attentive, but he also took the time to thoroughly examine my condition. Their accurate diagnosis led to the prescription of the right medication, and I am now feeling much better. It's clear that the medical team here is highly skilled and genuinely cares about their patients' well-being. I am genuinely grateful for the outstanding service I received at PIMC Phoenix Indian Medical Center. Thank you PIMC, for the exceptional care you provide to the community.

Because covid made people lazy and the native hospitals are already really bad at doing simple data entry/simple work its 100x worse at these places now. Pimc and its employees are the worst ive ever seen in a Ihs facility.. been to em all over the country. On top on this they base ur service off the level of nativeness u are.

I was treated by the physical therapy department by three knowledgeable, helpful, and encouraging Lady's. I sustained a knee injury in March and couldn't walk or function. Started physical therapy it helped my range of motion, flexibility, and pain, by building muscle in my core, back, quads, hips, and lower legs. I'm so happy to be back to do what I love hiking, camping, kayaking, swimming, biking, dancing and standing for long periods of time doing hair. Thank you, I really didn't think a few months ago this would be possible.

PIMC BHS depart is a joke! I have been tryna get an appt for the 3weeks. Telling me ppl will call me back, but no calls, telling me I have an appt but never get called. I called and there is no notes on my calls. The lead department started yelling at me about an appt, I told her to set it up after 4times and she still didn’t do it. I had to just hand up on her. If someone needs counseling...I recommend not going here. I take pride in my IHS facilities and giving back to our iHS facilities...but I think I will take my private insurance else where. But!!! I love their PEDS, POD and OB doctors though. These are none natives who REALLY have a passion to help the Native American population and are not only there for a paycheck.

I took my son, who has chronic asthma, to ER as he was having an asthma attack. The level of care he received was horrendous! Even though I told them he was having trouble breathing, he was asked to wait in the waiting room. Almost 40 minutes would go by when I informed the staff that he was not doing ok and she stated she was sorry; that he would have to wait like everybody else. More time goes by when my son told them his breathing was getting worse. He was wheeled over to Fast Track only to be put in the waiting room there. l could see that he was in distress and starting to moan. I then asked the staff if I should call 911 or does he need to collapse on the floor for him to get care. He was then taken to an exam room and was told respiratory would be called to give him a breathing treatment. The tech finally came and was observed talking on a cell phone. Again, no sense of urgency from her as well. He checked in around 1:00 PM and it would take around 3:00 PM before he got care. I hate to think of the outcome if I had not been there to advocate and speak for my son. This whole ER Dept moved so slowly as if there were no sense of caring. I was in such disbelief of this whole experience. Maybe they should think how they would feel if their own family members were treated this way. There are definitely some opportunities in this ER Dept that needs to be looked into. It has got to get better. I keep telling myself this was not a dream; that this horrible experience did actually happen at PIMC!

I have been to PIMC multiple times and have always had a positive experience, including today. I have a history of health issues and I could tell they did their best to see me as quicky as possible despite being a very busy Monday afternoon. All of the staff I encountered were extremely professional and polite and made sure I knew where I was going and what I still needed to do. The doctor who I ultimately saw in the ER went out of his way to allow me to record my imaging results so they could be immediately sent to a family member of mine who used to work in the field. They took my concerns seriously and provided excellent care. Thank you PIMC.

Dr. Melanie Taylor; she is the new Infectious Disease doctor at Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC). She is my new doctor. She has been with the World Health Organization for the past 4 years. She is the best in her field, very much on top of it. I really like her. She is honestly concerned about her patients. She takes all the time she can with a patient and explains every- thing she is doing. I had the best doctor, Dr. Paul Bloomquist, (for the last 13+ years) who had to move on, so it’s nice to get a great doctor to have in his place. “No one could replace him!” 7/21/21
