Way
better
than
a
standard
emergency
room
but
I
hope
yall
read
this
and
do
better.
I
broke
a
bone
in
left
hand
and
finger
on
my
right
hand.
I
asked
about
being
off
work
and
they
said
my
job
is
easy
so
I
can
just
go
back
(no
reccomended
rest
)
.
Refused
to
write
any
note
other
than
to
excuse
me
from
work
the
same
day.
I
said
I
was
concerned
about
washing
my
hands
(I
serve
the
general
public
in
a
venue
that
hosts
large
events)
and
was
told
to
use
hand
sanitizer
(there
were
open
wounds
in
3
of
my
nail
beds
and
dried
blood
on
my
fingers
for
days
after
I
left,
because
I
could
not
scrub
it
off
with
hand
sanitizer
,
which
also
burned
each
time)
Was
told
I
was
concerned
about
wiping
myself
in
the
bathroom
and
given
large
gloves(a
really
nice
thing
to
do)
.
Then
I
was
told
the
finger
splint
isn't
really
necessary
(even
tho
it
is
absolutely
necessary
for
the
healing
of
my
finger,
without
the
splint
it
will
heal
croked
and
be
like
that
the
rest
of
my
life)
I
know
I
should
have
asked
,but
why
didn't
she
wash
my
hands?
Or
put
lotion
on
my
skin?
Or
at
least
clean
off
the
dried
blood
and
santize
hands
before
putting
on
my
splints
?
Why
didn't
they
clean
me
off
at
all,
especially
when
I
intentionally
vocalized
a
concern
about
staying
clean
.
Why
is
my
job
(using
a
computer,
setting
up
Chairs
and
opening
and
closing
a
heavy
door
100
times
in
4
hours,
and
helping
large
groups
of
people
find
their
seat
for
a
very
large
event)
so
easy
that
I
don't
need
to
be
told
to
rest
?
I
wasn't
given
any
reccomendations
for
what
I
should
or
shouldn't
pick
up,
hold
or
attempt
to
do.
A
week
and
a
half
later
I
saw
an
orthopedic
doctor
who
was
willing
to
write
a
work
note
saying
I
should
not
lift
or
pull
anything
heavier
than
a
cell
phone
and
to
rest
as
much
as
possible
for
6
weeks.
I
felt
respected
but
that's
only
in
comparison
to
other
waiting
rooms
that
treat
you
like
you
broke
your
bones
on
purpose
to
get
opiate
medication
and
make
you
wait
3
to
6
hours.
I
know
that
it's
a
very
large
issue,
but
we
need
to
address
the
empathy
fatigue
and
supioroity
complexes
that
Healthcare
providers
develop.
I
know
they
went
to
school
for
a
long
time
and
they
"work
hard"
12
hour
shifts
etc
etc,
but
how
can
you
look
someone
in
the
face
who
has
two
broken
hands
and
tell
them
that
their
job
is
too
easy
to
deserve
at
least
a
note
that
would
allow
time
off?
Was
I
supposed
to
just
get
it
a
week
or
two
later
from
the
ortho?
Am
I
supposed
to
just
go
to
work
on
pain
meds
and
just
kinda
ignore
any
further
injury?
The
nurse
mentioned
financial
situation
and
used
my
response
of
not
having
extra
money
as
a
way
to
justify
why
she's
not
going
to
ask
the
provider
to
write
a
note.
I
know
she
was
hoping
for
the
best
for
me
but
it
makes
me
sick
to
think
about
now.
The
positives
here
are
that
they
referred
me
to
an
ortho
who
takes
my
insurance
(most
hospitals
will
just
refer
you
to
the
private
practice
of
their
relevant
team
member
and
that
person
almost
never
takes
medicaid),
but
I
specifically
asked
for
help
finding
one
for
my
insurance
.
When
there
was
an
issue
with
my
pharmacy
being
able
to
stock
the
prescription,
they
helped
me
get
it
transferred.
