Every single cocktail here is crafted to deliver an experience. I can go on and on about what you should drink but you will find something here you like and it'll be made expertly with a mix of ingredients that will excite and deliver. With the drinks out of the way if you do not get the kimchi popcorn you missed out and that taste will haunt me until I go back.

Highball is probably one of the top two bars in all of Phoenix. Whenever I've asked bartenders at many prominent bars, they have all suggested Highball and it's no wonder why. Their cocktails are exquisite and their atmosphere is warm and intimate. Service has always been amazing and I couldn't recommend this bar enough.

Upon entering the door, I was greeted with excellent customer service and was sat at the bar. Rob, the bartender crafted two incredible cocktails. This bartender is a true artisan and very gifted in his industry. The cocktail pictured is called “Pink Your Poison” and it was absolutely fantastic. He then made me a “White Lotus” and it was the most aromatic and divine tasting cocktail I’ve ever had. This might be because I recently had several terribly crafted cocktails at a five star resort in Florida and have been pining for a bartender who knew what they were doing. Nonetheless, this place is an excellent choice for anyone in their 30s looking for a chill atmosphere and service from people who know how to provide service! Love it and I highly recommend a visit :) PS the pimento cheese dip and chips are delicious.

New Favourite Phoenix Bar. HighBall bar is luxurious, inviting, engaging, delicious, and most importantly brilliant cocktails. Mitch and Casey were amazing, going above and beyond to make our night there unforgettable. I can't recommend this bar enough, it won't disappoint on any level.

Amazing atmosphere, staff and drinks. Definitely a great experience if you're in Arizona. Plus the menu changes with all new drinks a couple times a year. Definitely recommend. This place is definitely worth a look, especially if you like well balanced craft cocktails, sorry beer drinkers. If you don't know what you want, tell the bartender your likes, taste wise and spirit wise, and something will be prepared for you! They have munchies, but best to make dinner plans elsewhere. However, if you want a great before or after dinner cocktail, this is the place!!! Definitely worth a visit!!!

I always have such good drinks here. The bartenders are wonderful and will recommend things based on your palate. They come up with such creative drinks but also expertly craft your everyday favorites. Highly recommend!

Highball is up there with some of the better cocktail bars in the valley like undertow and bitter & twisted. Less experimental/theatrical than those others and more speakeasy style but the drinks are very tasty and a bit cheaper. Worth return visits.

Fantastic drinks, professional staff, and a proper way to do date night. Being a part of the history of Sidebar and seeing how this was executed following it, seriously, bravo. Looking forward to my next Teardrop, among many others!

The drinks here are unique, well balanced, and delicious. I loved the white lotus and the leave only footprints. I do wish they had more vegetarian food choices and a dessert or two. A friend ordered the pimento cheese dip, which I thought was good. Service was quick and nice. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate- great for date night.

Drinks and service were amazing, much needed after a long stressful work week! The bartender nailed the recommendation for both drinks! We even got to be the first to open the Henry McKenna bottle, as I'd never had it! Looking forward to next time!

Came here for Valentine’s Day after doing a reservation online at least 5 days before Valentine’s Day (highly recommended). I love speak easy bars that has their own style and mixed cocktails. Bunch of selections in their menu, including awesome bar foods. It’s abit pricey, but that’s how it is in speak easy places. Highly recommended !

One of the best bars I've been to. Refined yet chill atmosphere. Complex cocktails with interesting ingredients. We were there on a weeknight and the owner and bartender were super friendly, chatted with us for a while, and poured us some experimental drinks they were working on, including a clarified milk punch version of another drink on the menu. Phenomenal stuff. Cannot recommend this bar enough.

One of the best speakeasies I have ever been to. The owners/bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and attentive. The drinks are amazing and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend anyone visiting Phoenix to make a stop here!

I've been coming here for about a year already and it's absolutely by favorite place for date night, having a drink with friends or just alone after a long shift. All around they deserve the 5 stars.

Great mixology bar. Was there to catch up with a friend that I hadn't seen in a while. The service was attentive and gave us the perfect level of attention. The bartender made several recommendations that were perfect. The environment felt upscale and chic but still casual. We loved it and I will be back!

This is the best bar in Phoenix. I hate paying $16 a cocktail at most places but it's absolutely worth it at Highball. I would order anything on the menu and am trying to try every drink before they change it out for the year. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and I learn something new about alcohol every time I sit at the bar. It doesn't hurt that the restaurant they partner with has great food. Every time I'm here, it's a great experience.

I hate giving gems like this a review because I want them to remain hidden and available just to me 8-) This speak-easy style ("hidden" upstairs from a Chinese food place) cocktail lounge is amazing. Ambiance is unforgettable! Low light from lamps and candles make it romantic and mysterious. Leather and velvet couches and/or dark wood tables and bar. Staff and guests are well dressed. Cocktails are art! I usually just say "it's a top shelf [insert liquor] night - make me something delicious". Saturday I had 3 bourbon creations that were as tasty as they were beautiful.

Sydney is fantastic! Very helpful with choosing drinks as a first timer. The ambience is very speakeasy-ish and intimate. Such a picturesque spot; extremely unassuming. Grateful we were able to get in without a reservation. We were super accommodated.

It was my first time at Highball and not sure what to expect other than reading the reviews online and looking at previous photos. This place is a home run in my opinion. Mitch the bartender was amazing. Only a couple people at the bar yet still had time to build a rapport with me which I think is super important in that industry. If you’re looking for a cocktail lounge than look no further. Beautiful decor and even better bar. This place has it all to be honest. I will absolutely be back to try some more of their cocktails.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this new spot! The cocktails were sooo tasty well balanced and the menu guides you to picking something you like without being confused with how they describe all of them as well as had the kimchi popcorn which is incredible! Libby was our bartender and she killed it! Super friendly and knowledgeable with any questions we had!

A lounge atmosphere with excellent drinks and fantastic food. Some of the most unique and best tasting cocktails I've tried [fruity pebbles mezcal & the cake walk tasted just like a piece of vanilla cake], stellar service and an eclectic music selection.

They made a non alcoholic drink for me and all my friends loved their regular drinks. We also got the popcorn and the pimento cheese and they were both excellent.

The vibe...the drinks....all fantastic! So blown away. My only complaint is that my server grabbed my drink while there was still about 25% left in it. Didn’t even ask, just grabbed it. I tried to flag her down but she had her hands all over the rim, so I just let it go. Then she did the same exact thing to my friend who also had plenty left in his glass, and he had to say something so she set it down. Just bizarre! I’ve never had that happen to me before, let alone twice!

Cool ambience, great servers/staff, unique menu. I'd definitely recommend for a night where you're looking to lounge and engage in good conversation with friends.

I was super excited to visit Highball. My first thoughts were, this has an intimate Death and Co vibe. It’s incredibly well decorated, and feels great. The drinks we had were great, the staff was incredibly attentive and well versed, and on opening night. We will definitely be going back.

This place is absolutely amazing! The bartenders (Jimmy, Libby, Sydney, and Mitch) were great to be around and their drinks are so delicious. The vibes to this place so low-key, fun, and the black leather couches make this place perfect for date night or after dinner drinks. It’s on the second floor next to the Pei Wei and Starbucks. You can park in the back and walk around to the front of the building. The inside is super cute and dim. Candlelight and dim-lit chandeliers make this a great place to catch up with friends or have a date. Would highly recommend!!

Good beer food. Good atmosphere. It was so busy for mother's day!! but even that Josh was so nice and attentive with us and serving faster. I loved its bar area. Good cocktails 🍸. I will back with my family again.

Drinks can be a little pricey, but they are complex, delicious, and satisfying and there are alternatives. Atmosphere is cool, both temperature and vibe. Good music that isn’t overwhelming; comfortable, classy seating; intimate, great for meeting someone or a date.

I hate to make this place any harder to make a reservation than it is, but... Highball is the model benchmark for a top of the class cocktail joint, be you in Phoenix, LA, NY, London, or anywhere else in the world. Absolutely delicious and highly inventive drinks combined with the most knowledgeable and friendly service (from every single staff member). I could write a lot about what my group of four ordered, but the menu is likely to change, so just go in and let your servers suggest to your taste's interests. Add in the great vibes, and Highball is on all of our lists for top cocktail bars... globally.
