It's 100 Baht Fee, but I got in for free which applies to anyone over 60 years old. Most unusual to have such a concession for a Foreigner. As another person mentioned you'll be asked for you vaccination certificate which I've always stored digitally on my phone with no issues. No hesitation in giving this 5 Stars, the guided tour is conducted by a number of dedicated and enthusiastic staff. Full use is made of modern technology providing "State of the Art" multimedia performances. Several Cinema Type shows throughout the exhibition which explores the Art and Culture of this period of Thailands history beginning in 1782 with the creation of the oldest part of current day Bangkok (Rattanakosin). As well as the exhibits you get a great view from the observation room on the top floor of the Golden Mound and Wat Rachanatdaram. The tour lasts almost two hours.

A good place to know the history of Bangkok. The ticket is 100 bath. i would suggest to take the guided tour (no extra charge for guide) because they explain things, tell the history, do it in an organizwd way and complete in 1.5 hour. There are some videos ahown. By scanning QR code, the narration can be heard in English from your phone. Its better to use a headphone. Just beside it, the park of King Rama I you can see (and go aldo). Its free.

Visited in 12 June 2022. This was the last tourist place in our itenerary on the day of return. We were late by 12 minutes for the last entry (3 PM last entry, 5 PM closing). Anyway, the Museum staffs allowed us with a quick briefing on first section and enabled us to join the last visitor group. Excellent place to learn more about Thailand's history, culture, Thai people and also to have a great, enjoyable time. The entry fees are 70 Bhatt for the locals, 100 Bhatt for the forginers and free for any one over 60 years old. The exhibition provides a free official guide to visitors and translation. The staff are very proffisonal, friendly and helpful, providing the visitors with excllent service.

A very impressive introduction to Thai Culture, tradition and history. There are two types of guided visits, both are recommended. It takes almost four hours to go through the complete place. Language translation is available through the use of wireless radio sets. Use of animations, videos and sound effects is simple amazing, it makes the whole experience worth it. In fact through use of visual aids they have expertly made the history lessons so interesting and easy to remember. A must see for someone who is interested in the history of Thailand. Few things have been left out keeping in view the laws of govt / monarchy

The building has two storeys, not including the mezzanine and the third floor at both ends of the building which serve as the viewpoints overlooking the city.  The building has 4,800 square metres of floor space.  Advanced technologies - such as presentation devices, models, four-dimensional multi-media technique, multi-touch and multi-media animation technologies- are used in presenting the exhibitions about Rattanakosin City through interactive self-learning devices.  The content is divided into nine topics in nine halls (In phase one of the project, only seven halls will be open to the public.   All nine halls will be open to the public in 2011). Besides the nine exhibition halls, the building also has a 300-square-meter Event Hall on the ground floor for artistic and cultural events organized by educational institutions and private agencies.  The building also has a library, a souvenir shop and a coffee shop.

100THB per entry, they have LED exhibitions throughout the building and QR codes that you can scan to hear the English narration. Should allocate at least 2 hours for the guided tour (mine started at 11 am). Definitely worth visiting, could help you to understand some of the decorations and edifices at the Royal Grand Palace. You might be able to understand just a little bit of the poses used in the Khon mask dance. Note that they will ask to see your vaccination cert.

Price: 100baht/person to visit the exhibition hall. Mode: There are route 1 and route 2. I chose route 1 where the culture of Thailand will be shown. Time: It will spend 2 hours to complete the route because we have to follow the team and we will not be allowed to visit by ourselves. Language: Put a deposit of 1000baht, then we can have a translating machine (English). But, the machine cannot help when the tour guide is speaking in Thai. Even thought they will translate to English in the end, some of them will fail to do so. Overall, the tour guides are good because some of them will come to us just to explain to us in English. Knowledge: Can gain knowledge in the end because we were explained about the history and culture of Thailand from the King Rama I. Recommending level (65%): I would recommend the others to go when you understand in Thai or English and those who are interested in culture or history. Otherwise, you might feel bored because you are not allowed to visit faster than the team.

Great exhibition about the history of Thailand and cultural backgrounds. Remarkable is that foreigners have to pay the same entrance fee like locals. We got free entry showing the rabbit card. There are two tours, two hours each. At the end of the tour you may have a great view from the forth floor to the temple around.

An interactive, self-learning center, rather than a museum, Nitas Rattanakosin is interesting with sophisticated multimedia displays and touch-screen booths. The content mainly focuses on the rich past of the Rattanakosin period, highlighting royal culture, graceful Thai architecture, traditional performances and ceremonies. The entrance is 100 baht for 2 routes (each route take 2 hours).

The exhibition is great. The only downside is that you can not stay at a place for long and the guide/ presenter keeps rushing you to the next one. I recommend to come as late as 1pm so you have enough time to see everything because the entrance ticket includes 2 two-long-hour tours.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Two routes (of 2h each) are possible to discover the different themed rooms (culture, vision, relation to the king, ...) The visit of the museum can only be done via those routes at fixed times. (Every hour or two) Guides will escort you through the museum rooms and provide explanations in Thai and English. An audio-guide is provided for a live translation in English of the displayed videos. Unfortunately the visit is restrained by the guides rhythm, too fast. We didn't have the time to watch or read all the contents. Although a lot of efforts have been put to create such a rich museum, it was hard for English speakers to understand everything. Staff would deserve more training. Speeches sounded like read from a book. At some point I would have prefer to have the time to read the signs by myself. For a more interactive/fun visit, I would recommend route #2.

From the very entrance we got a real vip treatment being greeted at the door and getting a personal help in choosing which exhibition we wanted to see. You can only visit the museum with a guided tour which are organized every half an hour and translated to English for you. However there are a lot of multimedia that are no translated so make sure you take the audio guide as well!

Loved learning about the history of Thailand. The exhibits were interactive and engaging. Very clever use embedding the building's architecture into the flow of the exhibits. There is a human guide that accompanies you throughout which is helpful and ensures that you move along. While some of them are less fluent in English, they all try their best to showcase the exhibits and give a great experience. We would have preferred to take our own time walking through and reading the exhibits though for a less rushed visit. For non Thai speakers, they also provide a self guided audio headset. These are rather vintage so can be unpredictable in use.

Several tours that you pick from, note the C19 screening takes a while. Entrance fee paid, airport bell announces the next tour and the guide takes you on a walk through. Estimate about 90 minutes for your tour-route. Combine with a visit to the art gallery next door if you like.

Not much depth to their history of the Rattanakosin-era. I learned some things about Thai traditions tho. They have two tours. I went on the one about history not culture. It focused mainly on the grand palace and Thai arts. You must go with a bilingual guide. You're not allowed to spend much free time in each room. I think it's best for people new to Thailand. Very interactive and modern. Would be great for a school field trip.

This was very very good. There are two paths to the tour. We took the path that has the simulated boat ride because the path with the rooms had one room under renovation. We went during the week, and since there were no other visitors at that time (hint for others), we were treated like vip guests. The tour was great, we could take our time, we could sit in the auditorium style settings anywhere we wanted, the tour guides were quite helpful and answered our questions--even took pictures of us with the props at the exhibition hall. At the end, going to the top and looking out over the city, we had a great view of a couple temples--Golden Mount & forgot the other one, where we took pictures and rested for like another hour. It was a fabulous view on a great day. I would recommend it for anyone especially during the week. ( it was 100 baht/person). Also, in December they are planning night at the museum style exhibition around the middle of the month, sounds interesting.

This is the my favorite Thai museum. Actually, I'm not in to museums, but it is so good that I have to revisit for many times. The ticket prices are low, or may be free (if you have Rabbit card, or you are older than 60 years old). There are 2 main routes which take 2 hours per route. If you do not have much time, I recommend the second route because it has more interactive activities and more interesting stuff than the first one.
