We arrived at Dollywood on a Tuesday around 10am.We prepaid for parking and the parking lots were full up to lot D, where we Parked. The Tram was the longest thing to wait for but it was clear the staff was moving as fast as they could, and it was organized. Getting into the park after the tram dropped us off took no time at all. We prepaid for tickets and highly recommend you do the same. I screenshot my tickets and they scanned my phone. I picked up a "Happy Birthday" button from a bin right near the maps. I got a map but I used the Dollywood App mostly since it works like google maps and has all ride wait times. Wait times were not too bad most of the day. The park is very walkable and you can go to the lesser wait times and keep an eye out on other rides. The biggest downside really was their credit card machines going down around the park. I recommend bringing cash, I have come to learn it is very helpful to have. All in all though, Dollywood did not disappoint!

We really enjoyed Dollywood, our first visit. 9 of us went, ages 2 to 60, and we all really had a great time. From roller-coasters to shops and shows....everyone was happy. Practically no wait times today at all. Dollywood is gorgeous from the mountains to the flowers to adorable plant sculptures.... Music is always playing somewhere and the family atmosphere is so cool.

We found Dollywood to not be a positive experience. I have a disability and the park isn't handicap friendly. The temperature was around 35Β°, so it was cold and there were very few places to go to warm up, no heaters placed anywhere so you could stand under them and heat up. The lights and decorations were beautiful but almost any light show would have been just as beautiful. We left after only a couple hours, not worth they money. I would not recommend going to Dollywood unless you don't have a handicap, its warm outside, and you have kids.

Living one hour from Hershey, PA it's only natural that Hershey Park is my metric for other amusement parks. I've heard about the shows at Dollywood but they weren't showing when we were there. The layout of the park is decent enough but it seemed to be lacking in thrill rides. They have 9 coasters where Hershey has 15. I have no issue with the quality of the rides but when you have less rides the wait times will inevitably rise. Although I will give them props. The pretzels were awesome. 10 bucks a pop but they were huge. At least twice the size of Auntie Anne's. I noticed quite a few booths were empty and there were no open photo booths after the coasters. Maybe the worker shortage or all considered the off season. I had fun but $90 is way too much for what is offered. Hershey is only 55. I downloaded the app called Dollywood and it worked great for the first 1-2 hours but it stopped reporting wait times before lunch which made it hard to plan. Still, as always, you should check out and decide for yourself.

I have been to many amusement parks around the country and for my money Dollywood is one of my favorites. The park is always clean and looks great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of food and drink options. The rides are very cool and a good mix for all ages. The roller-coasters are a lot of fun. Wait times are not bad. Summer festival is very cool. We spent 12 hours in the park. Tons of activities and things to do. Will be an annual tradition for us.

First time at Dollywood. It far exceeded my expectations in every way. Being a slightly bigger girl, I was able to ride most of the rides. The food is good and not at all out of budget. The day pass cups are a must. Free refills from the many many fountains all over the park and free ice water everywhere. The shops are many and diverse and the shows lovely. Definitely a place to come back to and bring the kids next time.

Beautiful place to go, be there at the start you will need the whole day to enjoy it, see it all, shop and see shows. Lots of walking up and down hill so plan for it! Christmas lights were beautiful. Not many signs in the park to guide you the map was okay someone in our group down loaded an app that shows you the map and tracks where you are , was help full, Train ride was the best for me!

AMAZING, we came here for spring break. It was great that ticket prices included all rides. There is PLENTY for everyone to do. This is a great family vacation place. You won't be disappointed. Great food choices also. We were all happy. Wait times was not too bad. They post the wait times, but if you download the app, you'll see wait times of other rides and also give directions as you walk. Great place

Buying tickets in advance serves literally no purpose because you still have to wait in line with the folks buying tickets at the gate. Dollywood offers a military discount to active duty and veterans which is great. The lines for the rides were extremely long. Up to 2 hours for some. That seems crazy to me because the park didn’t seem that busy. I would recommend going a little later in the day. We went when the park opened and most of the foods stands were closed for the first few hours the park was open. The park is better suited for families rather than adults. It was nice to experience, but most likely will not be going back. The lines are not worth waiting in for the type of rides they have. I would rather spend my time at a park with bigger and scarier rides. Like I said though it is a great place for kids.

This was my first experience at Dollywood. There is literally something for everyone in the family to do here. We enjoyed the shows, food, and general ambience of the park. The kids enjoyed the rides and we enjoyed the sites. Highly recommend. We bought season passes to keep coming over and over. Loved it!!

First time going and let me tell you what, it was great!!! ALL the roller-coasters were great. We even rode some of them twice. That is also how fast the staff at Dollywood is working to get people on rides. The staff is also so helpful if you need help finding food or a ride. We loved this place so much that we are going back for a second day. I would definitely recommend that you come here whether you have kids or not.

Typical theme park, but I appreciated the variety of events and rides so that all ages could be satisfied. Not very long lines. Fairly priced kids meals. Kids three and under are free and almost all rides allow shorter kids to ride if they have someone over 14 with them. Drone show was cool and worth long line leaving park after it. Don't leave without trying the cinnamon bread.

"Dollywood: Enjoy Every Moment" ...and we sure did! I always thought Dollywood would be a lesser park, but I was absolutely wrong; what an incredible place for families. The logistics of the rides are set up to mix the mega coasters amongst the younger child friendly thrills. I went with my extended family of 15, and it was incredibly easy to stay together and enjoy the rides. The food is phenomenal! I was impressed by the range of amusement park food with quick-service fried snacks to delicious table service meals. The cinnamon bread is a vibe. Overall an impeccably clean and charming park. Dolly did a wonderful job with her team!

Exceeded my expectations. I’m a Disney parks guy and this was right up there with Disney, maybe better. No political agenda being forced on you, they still say β€œwelcome boys and girls.” Clean, family friendly park. We did the premier Time Saver Pass. It was nice to have but not sure I’d do it again. I think the cheaper Time Saver would be ideal. But the park wasn’t crowded at all until the afternoon. I’d recommend 1-2 days here. Amazing food for a theme park. Try the cinnamon bread. We are definitely coming back.

Wow! Where to begin describing the awesome surprises to be had at Dollywood during Christmas. The lights were everywhere, and anywhere...the park is meticulous...the staff were friendly always and everywhere. The ride times were super easy, most wait times 15 minutes or less. Plenty of places in the park to warm up on a cold winter's day and just three days before Christmas to boot πŸ‘’. Strongly recommend the steam train ride at nighttime to see it steam roll up the mountain! Treat your family πŸ‘ͺ to an unforgettable holiday experience. See you soon, Dolly 😊

We are local and have not been to Dollywood for several years. The park has made tons of improvements with new rides and roller coasters that were so much fun. The park was decorated with awesome plant sculptures of animals and bugs that were all very cool. For the thrill seekers Lightning Rod is a roller coaster experience like we have never had before soooo amazing and fast. I highly recommend.

This is by far the best vacation I've ever had. I thought I was a beach person but the mountains have won my heart and soul. The entire park was a great experience. There was so much to do and my kids had a blast. All Day. The fireworks was definitely the night cap. Even the shop around the park was nice friendly and affordable. We planning on going back again next year. Our tickets were a lot cheaper, we ordered in advance and bought a package deal.

Dollywood is a once in a life time experience. I really loved each and every ride. Though majority of them are roller coaster yet each and every roller coaster is different and immensely thrilling. I really loved my visit. Other than the rides there's many other attractions for which Dollywood is famous. If visiting don't forget to ride the newly built Big Bear Mountain ride. Amazing experience 😍😍😍

One of the best THEME parks. Loved the Harvest Festival with all the pumpkin displays, Halloween decor and music - so much talent and love the music here. Lots of themed food and drinks. The hot cinnamon bread was a treat. Ride the Dollywood Express that circles the park, see Dolly's childhood home replica, escape to a bygone beaut of a place, and ride great themed rides like the Tennessee Tornado and Wild Eagle... the eagle ride really does make you feel like you're soaring!

We love Dollywood especially during Christmas season. The lights and Christmas music just puts you in the spirit. The rides and shows are awesome, and the food and candies are delicious. One thing I worry about is that Dollywood has been taken over by a corporation and that profit before people will affect the southern warmth that attracts so many folks. The cost of admission is more than Six Flags. Please maintain the spirit of compassion and southern hospitality that Dolly instilled here.

We loved Dollywood. It was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The staff and guests were super nice. The food was delicious...especially the cinnamon bread. Even though it was sold out, the crowds were not too bad and we walked onto most rides. Shows were excellent with live instruments.

If you haven't been, your should go. It's beautiful- it's much more than rides, it's the best experience you can get from an amusement park(besides Disney). It's magical. Especially during Christmas time.

Simply, bluntly - better than Disney. I could try to complain - $20 for a burger... but it was a great burger, with fried green tomato, thick bacon (thought it was a pork chop) and caramelized onion. Wife and I split it, that was still plenty. We stayed open to close. Rides. Shows. Great staff. Not crazy long wait time for rides. Plenty of kids rides and bigger coasters.

Great place for family fun. Great live music and shows. Good food. You have to get the cinnamon bread you won't be disappointed. Alot of rides for all ages. If you go for Christmas or Halloween its themed for the holiday. One of my favorite things is to take a train ride its not very long but you get to see the park and good views of the mountains.

We had the most amazing time despite the rain. Our children were finally tall enough to ride the big rides and even though that was all they could really do they enjoyed every minute we were there. The shops were adorable and incredible. All of the staff were absolutely wonderful! We were able to be present for the drone show at the end of the night! All in all an excellent time and memories we'll never forget!

My family and I got the 2 day tickets and it was so worth it! We are considering getting passes because we live close enough to make a day trip. I'm from Florida and lived very close to both Busch Gardens and Disney, and I have to say the food options at Dollywood were unexpectedly AMAZING compared to either of those parks. I was so impressed with their fall offerings, and the fact that there's no alcohol in the park. We weren't expecting that! Huge plus! The decorations and lights were absolutely charming. The hosts are all really nice, we felt so welcome, and I made sure to let them know! The help desks located throughout the park were a great resource. One thing I noticed that impressed me was the variety of merchandise available, every store was so different from the next! My son absolutely loved seeing all the tradespeople working their craft. I'm not sure if any theme park can compete with the enrichment factor there. This was my first time visiting the park in over 20 years and we all loved it. Dolly's values are well represented in this park. I am so excited to make tons of new memories with my son! Can't wait to come back for Christmas festivities.

This place is more enjoyable than Disneyland. Starting with the entry process, you park in this long skinny lot surrounded by mountains. You walk to a tram stop and are greeted by one of the nicest people you've ever met and you take a nice ride to the front gate. Security is super simple you just walk between these sensors and you are good. You scan your ticket and there aren't even turnstiles, you just walk in. Then you reach show street and it is incredibly charming. You walk right to go to lightning rod or all of the shops, shows, and restaurants. Or you walk left like me up this hill to get to all the big rides. All the rides were so fun with the nicest theme park employees ever running them, all the food is slightly lower priced then most theme parks and it is all a lot better. Anything in showstreet bakery is so delicious, and cinnamon bread is legitimately one of the greatest things I have ever eaten. All the services and systems are so much simpler and better than stuff like whatever Disney is doing. All the live music and shows everywhere creates an amazing vibe. Just wherever you go it is so charming and chill and heartfelt. Never once did I feel stress or anger, it was just pure bliss. Definitely go for two days it is totally worth it. And the icing on the cake is that when you exit dolly says,"I will always love you!" And I really felt that here.

Had a blast but way overpriced! Great roller coasters and some other rides! On top of tickets, be prepared to pay $25 for parking daily even with 2-day Dollywood tickets! Inside where the "County Fair" is at there are games like a fair would have that's a bit too much for me too. They have veterans discounts and seniors. Go online to see prices.

This was such a cute amusement park! The rides were fun for the whole family, food was fantastic, and there was plenty of other attractions to keep you busy! The lines were relatively short, and after getting rained out we had no wait at all. All of the staff members were so friendly and I cannot wait to go again!

It was really fun lots of things to do and look at. Only thing is we paid extra for preferred parked and when we got there the parking attendant at the gate saw we had a handicap sign and told us to pay for general parking and go to the ticket booth and ask for a refund. She said the preferred parking area really isn't all that great and handicap parking is a much easier walk. Got to the ticket booth and the lady was happy to do a refund which was awesome and he said " I've told them they need to specify that on the website that handicap parking is available." So if you are able to park in handicap parking do that and don't pay for preferred parking. Other then that everything was awesome!!!

Had a great experience here. This is a smaller park so most large rides can be ridden in the same day, but there are also a lot of shows and things to see so 2 days would be plenty. The food that I had was good and the bathrooms were also very clean along with the cleanliness of the park in general. Everyone there was also very friendly. I would recommend to visit this park at least once, but would love to come back eventually to experience the new coaster being built for next year.

Dollywood was an immense amount of fun. It's an incredible theme park that is wonderfully well done. It is extremely beautiful and ornate. We came down for the roller coasters and it definitely did not disappoint. When going from one roller coaster to another, you couldn't help but noticing all the flowers and lights that are everywhere. There are also lots of shows and music.. There is something for everyone to appreciate here. It's definitely something you have to experience.

There is a lot to say so sticking to the points. First, parking system was on the surface a cluster but as it progressed, it wasn't too bad. Squeezing 8 lanes into 1 was tricky at best. Trams were easy to get on and travel frequently. Suggest getting tickets on line, was very fast. Park is amazing, there are rides for everyone and the big rides are top notch. Restrooms clean. Huge downside for us was prices of food inside.

My family loves amusement park. We been to pretty much all of them in south. Dollywood is a beautiful park but the rides are very dated. If your a fan of roller coasters than there really isn’t much here. We went on a Monday in June and it was very slow. Virtually no lines at all. Ironically, we left Pigeon Forge on Tuesday and there was lot of traffic trying to get to the park and parking lot was practically full. I guess Mondays are best days to the park in June I purchased my ticket at The Ridge RV park and there tickets were like $10 cheaper. Parking was $25. One thing the park is really good at was bathrooms. They probably had one every 50 feet Overall it’s great place we enjoyed ourselves and worth to visit at least once

It's not a big park, but it's still a fun day. Not a FL style theme park, but regular prices are not too far off from FL prices. We got there right at 10AM and hit the rides quickly. The crowd hadn't shown up yet, so wait times were great. A few thrill ride coasters were awesome. Some are not quite as thrilling. Plenty of food options. Good selection of gift shops. More of a one time stop than a season pass multiple trips park.

During mid-September, I went with my sister and my autistic nephew, Anthony, to the Dollywood Amusement Park. Although I'm not typically a fan of amusement parks, I thoroughly enjoyed observing Anthony's reactions to the rides and the lively atmosphere. Fortunately, the park wasn't crowded on the day we went, so we didn't have to wait in line for any rides and even got to go on some of them twice. However, the downside was that most of the rides were either geared towards extreme thrill-seekers or very young children, leaving few options in between. The majority of the roller coasters had upside-down loops and were quite bumpy, which may have been enjoyable when we were younger, but not in our 60s. Our personal favorites were the log flumes and river rafts, despite getting wet from the rides. The food choices were typical fair food, expensive and mediocre.

Dollywood is a place that has been on my bucket list for a while. My family and I made plans to make our trip this spring break but after spending time on their website, there appeared to be a summer package that included tickets and your cabin stay at a better price so we changed the dates of our trip. I also was able to spend a little more on a cabin because the pricing the website provided on the "package" was better than spring. Turns out their website had a glitch which even a supervisor acknowledged so the tickets were never added into my total. I asked if they could honor their website and was told no. I work in customer service. I do understand people make mistakes but as someone in service, you do your best to make it right. I'm so disappointed in Dollywood for this especially since they can verify the error on their part. They are willing to compromise a high level of service over the cost of 4 tickets.

  • 5/5 Graham D. 3 years ago on Google
Had a great time! It’s obvious that the park is having to adapt to less customers, but they are doing their best to keep it nice. Many of the small shops and some of the minor attractions that are hard to make covid safe are closed. I will say that the vast majority of the attractions are open and the staff are very committed to safety and always wearing masks, cleaning behind everyone and getting onto others who are not being safe, which I very much appreciated.

Most blessed experience at a theme park for me, my husband and our 3 boys EVER! Better than Disney and Universal. I am certain Dolly has a say in all the details here, it’s all perfectly orchestrated to make for an all around memorable experience. Thank you and we’re so glad we got to visit from Florida!!

We stopped over and did a day at Dollywood. It was during the covid quarantine period, so I'm sure its even better when things are back to normal. But we had a great time anyways. My kids are 9-15 years in age and they enjoyed all of the roller coasters and rides. Plus for Christmas they really do deck it out. Very beautiful to see at night. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

I came with a party of 6. We bought tickets the morning we went, and we stayed 9 hours. I was impressed with the production quality of the shows and the cleanliness of the park. Some in my party rode the rollercoasters and greatly enjoyed them. However, the park was clearly not at capacity, and many rides had wait times at or exceeding an hour. Staff and attendants of the park wore masks and maintained a social distance in many lines. Staff kept a strict policy of keeping masks on inside shows. We watched the fireworks from the parking lot of the park..they were very interesting with lots of colors and designs. Overall, a very fun place to visit.

Dollywood is a really exciting part to go to. I had an excellent time the other day using the unlimited front of line badge which was very affordable. They have an excellent array of thrill rides at Dollywood and I would definitely recommend their wooden roller coaster and their flying coaster. They have a custom eurofighter ride that it's pretty neat and also worth checking out. This park is definitely worth The admission price and I'll hit it again when I'm in the area.

My family and I love dollywood. This is our first year with passes and I'm sure it will not be the last year. We have four kids and they all find stuff that they love to do. We can't wait to go back soon for fun.

Fun. Staff is rude, dining options are horrible. No vegetarian options.
