When checked in, the staff were behind nice. My dad and a man who worked there had a nice chat about the coast guard. The rooms were very nice, and the location satisfied us with the ships we wanted to go to right outside our room. The rooftop pool was our favorite part. We were able to get drinks and food while swimming. It’s best to go at night, because the Ferris wheel lights up the pool in a beautiful way. All in all, it’s an amazing experience that I definitely recommend.

We arrived August the 27th and stayed until the first. We were so impressed by the staff going above and beyond to ensure we had the most amazing visit possible. Our housekeepers Violet and Haley were exceptional making sure we had everything we needed daily. I am a late sleeper. My daughter asked if they could let me know a good time for them come by. Violet smiles a truly genuine smile and says that it is always 5 o'clock. That is when I knew we had chose the best place to stay. Being comfortable and relaxed is how you would definitely spend your time there. Can't wait to go back.

My family loved this hotel. It was very convenient to the surrounding activities, had a nice pool, great customer service, and a nice coffee shop. We paid a bit extra for a "river view", thinking that it would be quieter and nicer overall. The room was spacious and very clean. However, our "river view" also included a back alley type employee parking lot....not what we had hoped for. We couldn't enjoy the balcony because employees were beneath us smoking, hanging out on breaks, getting in/out of cars, etc. Overall, the hotel is very nice. It has a relaxed, island vibe and caters to the Jimmy Buffet theme. We would absolutely stay there again...but not bother with the "river-view upgrade*.

I absolutely love this hotel. The comfort and hospitality are above the rest. My dads back was bothering him due to the soft mattress, so they sent up a cot with a firm mattress so he was able to get a good nights sleep and was able to walk the next day. The location is awesome, nestled right in the center of the Island, you are surrounded by unique shops and restaurants..This hotel really has everything you need for a great vacation.

My family loved this hotel. The rooms are big with nice big showers. The location is great on the island with lots to do. We had a river view balcony which was peaceful. We loved the rooftop pool area, especially our daughter. My only complaint, however I understand why they don’t, is not having any included breakfast options.

Beautiful place, convenient location with so much to do on the island. The rooms could have been a little cleaner. Loved the pool area, with the exception of a topless women in the hot tub... Kids wanted to go for a swim before the pool closed and to their surprise, there was an older couple making out in the hot tub and the woman was topless.

I previously left a review but have not seen it posted. Im posting again as I want to share our amazing experience at this hotel. From the moment we pulled in we felt very welcome. The valet greeted us with a smile and handled our luggage. Front desk was very helpful at checking in and helping to navigate the area. We loved our room, not only was it spacious but it was immaculate. Large room with fireplace, coffeemaker and balcony. We visited the pool bar, we enjoyed our drinks while watching the dancing water at the fountain and listening to the music. We had dinner at the bar outside of the lobby, food and drinks were great, the waitstaff were very attentive. We loved the location, everything you need is right there. What stands out the most is that employees were all so cheerful and welcoming, always meeting you with a smile and a greeting. The management def does an amazing job. Thanks for such an amazing stay, hope we get to meet Jeff next time to say, Thank you!

The Margaritaville Island Hotel is a great central location for many great activities in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Centrally located at The Island it is a great place for couples and families to enjoy quick access to restaurants, shopping, and activities while never being far from the hotel. The check-in process was quick and easy. Valet parking was available, and we definitely recommend it for any guest. The staff was courteous and polite. The hotel itself appeared to be in great shape and well-kept. We stayed in a River View King room with Hot Tub, room R279. The room was spacious and well-appointed. We had daily housekeeping service and overall found the room to be clean and comfortable. Of note, there is virtually no storage in this room, and that may be a concern for anyone who likes to unpack upon arrival. The storage in the main area of the room was three small desk drawers and a small closet. Without a table or couch, we could also only have one suitcase open at a time. We found the lack of storage to be annoying, but not enough for us to not stay here again. There were only two of us, any more than that, and it would be a real issue. The bathroom was bright and clean. The amenities provided were shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, makeup remover wipes, and soap. There were a few peculiarities in the bathroom; the shower had a comfortable seat and two rain heads. The rain heads, however, could not be used at the same time; you have to choose to have the water above you or from the side as a mounted shower head. The handle to select temperature was also confusing. The base plate on the shower wall indicated turning the handle left to right to increase temperature, and the handle indicated turning the handle right to left to increase temperature. The base plate in our bathroom was correct. There is a barn door that opens to the bedroom and creates a window from the room into the hot tub portion of the room. The only issue with this is that the toilet is exposed within the bathroom, and if the sliding door is open, the toilet (and anyone using it) is also exposed. The rooftop pool and hot tub were good size. We also enjoyed sitting up there and looking out over the Great Smokies as well as The Island. The fountains were down for replacement and repair during our entire stay, but we did enjoy watching the fountains being replaced and worked on while we were at The Island. This was a great location for us. Our minor quibbles were far outweighed by the location and the staff. We look forward to another visit soon!
