Excellent hotel in downtown Provo; modern large rooms. Mountain view rooms make it easy to forget that you are in a metropolitan area. Pretty standard but nice Marriott breakfast buffet. Really nice lobby area with lots of nice seating areas for a chat or just to relax a bit. Free indoor parking a big plus. Not a surprise but courteous, helpful staff. Highly recommended!

This is a pretty nice hotel located right in the middle of downtown Provo. I stayed here for a conference in the convention center right across the street. The location made it easy to get back and forth to/from the conference. The staff is very friendly and the rooms were pretty clean. I had a lot of space in my room which had two beds and a large couch. The room also had a small kitchenette with a mini fridge, a microwave, and a sink. The beds and pillows were pretty comfortable. I was fortunate to have a room at the end of the hallway in the top floor in the south tower of the hotel which was nice and quiet and offered some decent views outside. There was a nice little terrace down on the second floor where you could walk out and enjoy the weather.

Marriott gold rewards member here, this was the most mediocre of any Marriott I’ve stayed. The front desk staff gave me the run around, said they were a franchise hotel and set their own rules different than a regular Marriott Hotel. It certainly showed, I will likely never stay here again. It was more of a Motel 6 experience vs Marriott. Even the rooms, though ok overall, had peeling paint, etc. However, the conference and event staff were awesome, great experience with that part of team.

Perfect central location for provo, rooms are super clean, great customer service overall but specially F&B and the Front Desk. We will be staying here again next time we visit Utah.

Excellent location for a hotel, right in the heart of downtown. It's an older hotel though, but has been remodeled very nicely. Unfortunately with an older hotel, the walls are just very thin. Even with a sound machine running, I could hear my neighbor's phone buzzing during the night. Also the door to the stairs, which was right next to my room, slammed and closed very loudly, so when someone came in at 2:30am, the slam woke me up. The rooms are large and modern. Very much what you'd expect from Marriott. Comfortable beds and pillows. Great service, friendly employees. Parking is free, but the garage is very tight, so take care to drive safely in there.

I was excited to stay at this hotel. It was nice and big, great location, friendly and helpful staff. Easy to park and quick and close elevators. The room was nice and big, clean. Nice closet and great bathroom and shower. Nice charging plugs by the bed. The huge problem came when we tried to sleep (and getting there at about 8pm that was pretty quickly after arriving). The guy in the room next to ours had a 20 minute coughing fit.. we heard every second of it like he was in our bed .. and some continuing episodes throughout the night. The door also was very bright at night and obviously not sealed well, heard kids running out there in the morning, about 7am. Too bad.. the service and esthetic really made me want to love it but won't be staying there again, as my main goal at staying in any hotel is to sleep. I was also surprised the breakfast wasn't included... and was as pricey as it was.

Not a whole lot to say about this place. Solid hotel, the rooms were great, the conference center was really nice as we're here for business. The gym is superb, and the pool and jacuzzi are great as well. All around is just a good hotel and definitely would come back again. Also, Love Provo.

Comfy and modern styled hotel room. It was exceptionally clean as well with a power cooling system to keep me cozy. I’d definitely stay here again.

Stayed overnight while attending a conference here. Room was very nice. The bed was more comfortable than other places I've stayed. Great air conditioning, good wifi, free parking, very clean. All the staff we interacted with were very polite and helpful. The only drawback to the stay was that breakfast was very expensive. They have an on-site Cafe, but the prices were quite a bit higher than I felt was reasonable. $11 for a small bowl of oatmeal and slice of toast. Service was on the slow side, too. We finally went to pay at the register because we couldn't wait any longer for the check. The conference rooms were nice, but the presenters did have several issues with the microphones. The staff were quick to help, but issues cropped up both days.

Beautiful hotel and seemed to be great staff. Until an employee pocketed our cash and had our room charged for our meal. My friend who I have been with has been a huge Bonvoy membership and the fact that she got royally screwed and told that she wouldn’t be charged and then finds it at the airport on our way home Is unfair and truly disappointing. She will be removing her membership since we found the true colors of that hotel

While I did not stay at this hotel, I attended a professional dinner in a conference center. Although this location resides in Downtown Provo, offering little parking spots, they have a garage available. The place is close to many restaurants, activities, and conference centers nearby. It is also a short drive away from Brigham Young University. The staff were friendly and willing to help. The food of the meeting itself was excellent, though I do not know if it came from the hotel itself. The conference room was fairly spacious, enough for about thirty people, and excellent for presentations. It held a projector, a stage area, and microphones.

Everything is great here, rooms , friendly staff. There are a variety of options to eat for breakfast but not complimentary. They have a nice bar to chill out, and the Starbucks

i have a few complaints; #1 the floors are loud and Squeaky and should be replaced. #2 to watch TV we had to sit in Two Hard Kitchen chairs, there should have been a couch or a comfortable chair to sit in. #3 the airconditioning was very noisy and prevented a good sleep in the room. Service was excellent and the location is great.

This place sucks!!! I won’t go into the details, but the guy at the front desk totally narked on me for having an affair on my wife at the Marriot in Provo. Dude has no chill. It’s like the bro code means nothing to him. If you catch feelings for the receptionist at your job and want to keep it on DL, do NOT go to the Marriott in Provo. I would give this review only 1 star, but the green beans they served at my company’s Christmas party were pretty dope. But if Tony from the front desk is reading this, not cool bro. Now my pay checks are getting garnished and my kids like my wife’s new boyfriend more than me :(

I've been to this hotel many times, and it is always a nice experience. If you quality for the concierge room on the top floors, you get a nice breakfast. Free parking in a garage is a big plus. Rooms are spacious and upscale.

We as a family have done Thanksgiving dinner at this property for more than 40+ years. It gets better every year. This year we had 24 people, all left full and happy!

Great breakfast!!! Very warm and hospitable staff. Good facilities. I had a wonderful studio apartment which was almost perfect, I wish the windows were better sound proof, and I wish it was possible to air out the room. The carpeted floor and AC have a tendency to make the air stale and that’s common. Anyhow, totally recommend it!

The hotel facility itself is nice overall. The indoor pool needs some sprucing up--wall covering is peeling off. The outdoor pool is nice. The Slate restaurant has good food--better than I expected! Unfortunately, one of our rooms had a broken shower so one guest could not shower the first day. The other room had a toilet that clogged after one use (by a child)--I think it was maybe already clogged when we checked in? Nice convenient location, able to walk to nearby restaurants and convention center.

Sheets and shower curtain had blood and ? stains. Next door room service trash got spread around in front of our door and left for two days. Very little drawer/storage space. Shower drain backed up. No microwave in the room. Breakfast buffet was maybe fancier than Holiday Inn, same waffle maker, and for $19 I won't miss the mediocre omelet. Friends staying with us had a broken toilet and other problems. Restaurant service was completely overwhelmed and took hours do bring out food. For the premium price and reputation, I won't stay at Marriott again.

I was very disappointed with the way I was treated upon arrival. We're Fire Fighters and we have a mandatory tax exempt number for Hotel taxes. The front desk lady treated me like It was a huge hassle. When we stayed at the Marriott in Glenwood springs Colorado for 12 days the front desk host was very helpful and courteous. She Never once made us feel like we were a burden in any way and was very thankful for the work we do. It was the exact opposite in Provo. Disappointed to say the least. I was also charged for room service when I came down to the lobby to get my own food. Not sure how that happened... Rooms were clean and comfortable. Customer Service has some room for improvement.

Great service and nice looking hotel. Rooms walls are unfortunately paper thin. If your neighbor listens to a movie you will hear pretty much everything. But the view of the mountains is great! The morning breakfast buffet was good with a good selection that changed from time to time. The staff members were really kind and helpful. The free parking was incredibly convenient and easy to find a place in.

We had our daughter's wedding reception in the ballroom on 8/27 and couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. Our event manager Haley was a dream to work with, efficient, professional, accommodating and a genuinely kind person. She took care of everything and saw to it that the evening was as we were hoping for. Kudos to the chef(s) and food people as the meal and desserts were delicious (everyone remarked how good it was!). The wait staff were friendly and efficient-in all, all the employees involved or associated with our event did a fantastic job. Our evening would not have been successful without them. Thank you so much! We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering on where to hold their event. On top of this, after retiring to our rooms for the evening, we found them to be clean and very comfortable. Thank you again for a great evening and an even better experience.

This was a quite hotel with a nice fitness facility and a nice spa area. Our room did not have a microwave and that is all I can complain about. The location is very nice since it has multiple places to eat around.

AC wasn't the best. No bathroom fan in the north tower rooms and only one towel rack. There are drinking fountains with water bottle refill stations downstairs. No water bottles in the rooms. The refrigerator doesn't freeze. The parking garage has a height limit of 5"6". Top of truck will scrape on the plastic height marker. Free public parking on the next street that is taller. The gym is good. Pool and hot tub are very over chemicaled. The outdoor pool is past the indoor pool and down some stairs. Not heated.

I was a good experience clean rooms, clean service good food easy to check in great staff love you in their rooms are a little playing but and there’s no view so there’s a downside it’s just looking at a big concrete building outside the window but otherwise highly recommended

Great stay! They had all the equipment one could need in the fitness room, the view of the mountains from my room was just astounding. I was bamboozled every time I looked out the window, so close and huge they are. Great staff at reception, they were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, both the guy and the girl. Bartender (Mike I think?) at the hotel bar is a hoot. Funny, knowledgeable, and made delicious cocktails. Great conversation. Good location, too -- we were just a couple blocks away from shops and food. Parking was super easy.

I think this hotel is better for just people on business versus those with kids. We (husband, two boys ages 11 and 9, and myself)stayed here for 1 week while my husband was working in Provo. - The room was large enough with two queen beds. - Great air conditioning system that didn’t make me sick. - Wish there had been a microwave in the room to heat up leftovers. - My kids and I ate at the hotel restaurant breakfast buffet. It was ok. Good price for kids. Coffee was horrible. The people servicing the buffet need to keep it cleaner. Serving spoon with dried scrambled egg on it was not pleasant. And no cups to poor syrup into. - Starbucks on site was mediocre. Not the same level of coffee. - indoor and outdoor pools were disgustingly dirty. My kids didn’t even go in. In the indoor pool We could see chunks of what looked like dirt. I’m the outdoor pool there was garbage floating on top (chip and candy bags). The water in both was super cold. Very disappointing. - parking is great - there are several restaurants around the area within walking distance. We wouldn’t stay here again because of the pool issues.

I go to this hotel once a year for a convention. They have a breakfast buffet available, and there are tons of great food options nearby. I look forward to trying new places every time I'm here.

Great hotel and everything you'd expect from a Marriott. The rooms have been recently renovated but the best part is that the restaurant has really great food. Good bar too

Like many before, I stayed here while at a business conference and also like the many before, absolutely enjoyed my experience. Staff was kind and energetic. Food was great (real eggs and thick bacon). Bedroom was spotless and comfortable. I will gladly be back again.

We stayed at the USA Hotel in Wells, Maine on Sept 10th evening and had room 301.  I didn't realize there were no windows that actually opened.  Never stayed in a hotel without windows that could open.  We were forced to keep on the air conditioning since the room was incredibly musty and had this deodorant smell from the carpet.  Neither of us had a good night's sleep.  There is no indication on the descriptions that the windows don't open.  And there was not one hook to hang anything.  No closet or even a few hook in the room or bathroom.  Our friends had a much better room in the new building with windows that opened and a wood floor.  Wish we had that room!  Too much money to be staying in this type of room.

Nice Marriott. I prefer some of the smaller Marriott brand hotels due to having a full kitchen but this one is nice particularly for two reasons: 1. Location: right in the heart of downtown Provo allows you to walk to so many local restaurants. 2. Fitness: this hotel has an excellent gym set up with dumbbells, cable machines, and multiple other weight machines, along with the multiple pieces of cardio equipment

  • 4/5 Tom W. 1 year ago on Google
Room was great. I'd say at least 1/3 of the fitness machines didn't work. The hot tub had the worst jets of any hot tub I've been in: no bubbles, weak output for lower back. I thought they were broken at first. And my real complaint is the lack of a concierge lounge. Many, many Marriotts are playing the COVID card way past its expiration date. I am a very loyal Sheraton/Marriott guest and worked hard to get status. Only now, my status seems only to get me a 'thank-you for being a loyal member' when checking in, and nothing more. No concierge lounge, and many don't accept my points for stays. I should say this one in Provo did accept points.

I had an amazing stay at the Marriott. It was in a great location and appreciated the complementary parking. The bartender Tol recommended great hikes and provided outstanding service. The next day I went on the hike recommended, and even though I had ‘checked out’ the amazing staff allowed me to do a later checkout so I could freshen up after my hike which really helped since it would be hours before I would be at my next destination. Would definitely recommend. At every opportunity the staff went above and beyond.
