After reading negative reviews, I had low expectations when reserving a room here. I was pleased to have a much better experience than others described. Yes, it's a low budget hotel, but it was a very decent experience. I thought the hotel location and safety were good. My room and breakfast were both very nice. It was a great low-budget hotel experience. The only negative I'd say was the bathroom was a bit cramped, but it was still plenty fine for my needs (might be tighter -- but still usable -- for a family).

For the money, this place is actually five stars. I paid next to nothing to stay here. So, if you are looking for a reasonably clean, safe, and simple hotel - seriously, five stars. Why did I give it three stars then? Well, when I checked in, nobody was at the desk, and even though I continued to ring the bell, no one showed up for 10 minutes. Then, the next day when I got back to my room in the evening, my key didn’t work, and I had to wait again for somebody to show up at the front desk for 15 minutes, hence, the deduction of one star. Seriously limited front desk service. Finally, the buffet for breakfast isn’t really a buffet at all. It is actually first come first serve, and in some cases no breakfast buffet at all. That is, my first day I showed up at the buffet at 9 AM and there was no food left. It was supposed to be open until 9:30 AM, but apparently they ran out of food (so I just had an orange juice). The next day, there was a sign (see picture), saying that due to labor shortages, they would not be providing a breakfast. Once again, for what I paid to stay here, it wasn’t a really big deal, but if it was promised, it seems weird, not to have anything at all. Go buy several dozen donuts and put them out? Hence the deduction of the second star. Interesting stay for sure.

You can tell it’s old, old. Bed we slept on I’d rate as uncomfortable. Breakfast was decent. Several types of cereal, bagels, muffins, waffles with an original and blueberry batter. Eggs and protein. Milk and juice dispenser. Overall it’s a good value. Staff were, situationally, very kind, thoughtful, taking a personal touch. Very considerate.

Nice sized, clean rooms with comfortable beds at a reasonable price. The breakfast area had typical hotel breakfast options and a large seating area. The front staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the room card-keys kept losing their codes so it was quite inconvenient when your hands were full and your key no longer let you into the side door, let alone your room. This happened 3 times during my stay. I also had to leave early due to a death in my immediate family, it would’ve been nice to have that night refunded as a courtesy under the circumstances. Not expected, but it would’ve been nice.

CLEAN! The most important thing is a clean room, bed, & bathroom. 5 stars on that, THANK YOU! Good price & easy location near highway. Hotel is very dated though, cracks in sink, really needs fresh paint, furniture could be updated. But we had a comfy bed & clean room & that made it good for us!

Decent hotel, room was twice the size of most. It was a ADA handicap room. Water pressure in bathroom was good, bed slept very well. Cleanliness of room was better than most. It is an older hotel that looks like it has been taken care of. Decor could use updating but overall I would definitely stay again. Only complaint we had was no USB ports and only two wall plugs. Best part they are dog friendly.

Place is okay. Rooms could use some updating, new curtains(ours had stains everywhere on it), the bathroom tub has a mat in it which is really gross(potential mold I saw near the drain and mat), and our bed sheet was on upside down which is odd and I won’t think about too much. Good location & friendly people.

Horrible!!! After traveling alone for 15 hours with my two small dogs, I called the Ramada and was given one price of the room when I called the website. When I checked into the hotel it was an additional $20. Then after looking at what was charged to my card, it was an additional $25. I had booked a king size bed and when I had to settle for 2 queens which were horrible. I picked up the remote control which has sticky stuff all over it. I wiped it down with a damp towel and could not believe the filth that came off of it. So much for sanitizing rooms. The following morning I got I to the shower and stuck to the shower curtain was other people's hair, so disgusting. I called and spoke with the manager TJ who was rude, disrespectful and less than helpful and brushed my concerns aside. I will NEVER stay at another Wyndham!!!

Stayed at this Ramada with my boyfriend for six nights. The price wasn't terrible, but that was the best part. One night, the toilet got clogged and we noticed there wasn't a plunger. After a few tried of calling the front desk (no one answered the first couple times), we were told a plunger couldn't be found in the entire hotel, but that they'd send someone to fix the toilet the next morning. We ended up door dashing a plunger and getting the $10 comped. Another day, our door cards refused to work. My boyfriend took them to the front desk to get them fixed (I waited at our door with some groceries we just bought), to find no one was at the front desk. No one was able to help for at least 15 minutes. Eventually, we received new cards that worked fine. Along with these problems, we had neighbors with dogs that barked the entire day for three days (only during the day. So it was liveable), we found a partially smoked cigarette when initially entering the room, ants in the bathroom, and some sort of gnat/bugs in the bed (not sure exactly what kind, but *not* bed bugs). Overall, the experience could have been worse... but it wasn't the best.

Our stay at the Ramada Provo was not pleasant. The staff member who checked us in was not rude, but pretty close. He neglected to let my husband(who has back issues) know that there wasn't an elevator when he said he was going to load our luggage onto a cart. Once the cart was loaded he told us about the nonexistent elevator so everything had to be unloaded back into the car. He forgot to scan our room keys, so once we unloaded the luggage and carried it up the stairs my husband had to wait while I went all the way back to the lobby to have the keys activated. We had just driven six hours, so we were pretty exhausted. When we got into the room it had a very unpleasant odor. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The coffee supplied in the room was dated 2021 and 2022. The lady in the lobby said that was all they had. The breakfast that was included was one of the worst that we have ever had. They didn't tend to cleaning the tables or restocking the food in a reasonable time. So although eggs and sausage patties were supposed to be there we had toast instead because the trays were empty. I would not recommend this hotel if you have other choices.

I am pretty easy to please, but I want to give a reasonable expectation for you. Everything at this hotel is fine, but it doesn't go above that. The facility is older and in need of some repairs, but everything still worked okay. The toilet needed to be held to flush all the way, the shower constantly dripped and had a pocket of water in the tub you could feel with your feet. The sink was slow to drain and would fill easily. Those things aside, I always felt safe, the cleanliness is adequate, amenities are average, breakfast okay, but price is good to accommodate all of that. However, my reason for dropping a two star instead of 3 or 4 is because of one reason. The show I was seeing was cancelled, so there was no reason for me to stay the two days. I visited the front desk to ask about checking out early and only being billed for the one day. They said because I booked third party, Travelocity would not allow it. I got on Travelocity site and chatted with support. They pointed out that I bought refundable fair and are paying the hotel and not Travelocity, so this should be zero problem. They contacted the hotel and tried to sort it out. They had the managers look at it and denied the request. I didn't break any policy. I was out well before checkout. I bought refundable rooms. They were not at capacity. There was simply zero reason for them to not work with me, other than saving a small piece of revenue instead of a happy customer. Take all the info and decide yourself. For me, I would not stay again or recommend because they would not work with me and lied about the reason, saying Travelocity was the problem.

Just okay. Nothing special. We were tired and had car troubles as we came into Provo. Already had a reservation here but we checked in late. The staff were friendly and just fine. However they could do a better job cleaning. There was a hair on the sink vanity and a gummy candy or vitamin on the floor near the bed. The bed was comfy and the air conditioner worked great (we were hot and tired so that’s all that really mattered to us). Breakfast was pretty standard. Nothing really bad to say. Their coffee is not good. But we like good coffee. Their hallways and lobby smell like a bad combination of pickle juice and farts. They may want to look into that.

I am posting under my son, but we stayed there recently and everything was ok until I went to plug my oxygen machine beside the bed, and to my dismay there were no plugs beside the beds. Therefore I was forced to sleep without my oxygen! Please make sure there are plugs accessible next to needs for handicap peeps! Shelley Wheeler

Not the Hilton, general clean and nice room compared to the price. There is breakfast. Good wifi connection. Reasonable quiet. Reasonable prices. Also has a stake house attached.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. My room had to be changed because the mattress had dry blood stains, which was so disgusting. I couldn’t sleep very well just imagining what was under the mattress in my new room. Everything looks old and not clean.

  • 2/5 John S. 9 months ago on Google
Definitely an older hotel but the lobby was clean and inviting. Breakfast had eggs and sausage along with typical continental fare. Room smelled of chemicals as if they were trying to cover up a long time smoking room. No elevator so be prepared to haul your bags up stairs if you're on the second floor. Room keys didn't work trying to get back in from the outdoor pool, had to ge let in. No metal plate on the door jam. Just a hole carved into the wood for the deadbolt.

The people that work here look like they are forced to go work. What they have is not genuine customer service. The breakfast is sausage and made up egg everyday. Tastes like cardboard. The room and bathroom are old looking, especialy the bathtub. I didn’t even want to step in it. When I asked the housekeeping to change the bedsheets, they told me that they only change it every other day. So, if someone checked out at a room you will go to, and they just changed the sheet that day, they won’t change it again. That is not hygienic at all!

This was the most quiet and relaxing 2-star hotel I've ever stayed at. I had the most gorgeous mountain view out of my window. The room was clean & pleasant. Room service as expected. We had decent light breakfast. I really appreciated the quality of their coffee! Front desk personnel was courteous. The housekeeping personnel did a great job. One thing to note, if you are planning to use their laundry, bring your own coins and plan in advance, because the nearby gas stations would not give quarters at night and the hotel front desk does not keep any extra either. Once you find the quarters though, you can enjoy your clean laundry ;) Clean room. Comfortable mattress. Clean bedding and towels.

This place is a disaster. Cost us $89 for room 234 with two queen beds, yet only got 3 towels and 2 washcloths and they couldn’t or wouldn’t give us more. Lamps are crooked, shades are broken, outlets don’t all work, there’s no working vent in the bathroom, the AC unit allows cold outside air in unless it’s running, and the carpet is gross. The toilet seat doesn’t fit right and came loose when I went to lift it. Then they had didn’t stock the hot breakfast items - just had cereal and juice leaving half the breakfast bar completely empty. They don’t even stock milk for the cereal. Staff was unhelpful and either didn’t answer questions (one time simply walking away) or offered multiple conflicted responses. Never again!

This place is terrible. The plumbing is ancient. The air conditioning hardly blows cool air. There are no towels by the pool and the room towels are like paper. When u go out to the pool you have to walk all around the building to come back in the front door or pound on a door till another guest let's u in because the cards don't work on the pool doors. The receptionist is left alone at the front desk and is very busy with no time to check guest in and help guest that are here. She needs at least one other person. Hell all the maintenance and house keepers leave at 5 pm on a Friday. LOL this poor woman has no help. They have a restaurant attached to the property but it is extremely busy, they take no reservations and they won't even call your room number when a table is ready. Why advertise a restaurant on property if guests can't even leave a room number to be called when a tables ready. Also the restaurant customers park in hotel parking so u have to scramble to find a spot. This is all observed after being here 2 hours. Not sure how the beds are. They seem comfortable. However I doubt much sleep is to be had with such low quality air conditioning quality.

Room and bed was nice and clean, the big turn off for me was the bathroom. There were lots of hair from the head and nether region, whom ever cleaned that room did not take the time to clean it. Otherwise not a bad place for a sleep over.

There weren't any full size towels in our room and the shower drained so slowly it filled past my ankles during my very short shower. The walls were not very sound proof. I could hear the muffled conversation of the people in the next unit. I knew the moment they flipped on their TV in the morning. The thing that really got me was the lack of breakfast. There were some cold cereals set out and some juice options. Oh, and some bread if anyone wanted toast. I was truly disappointed and my husband and I left to go out to breakfast elsewhere. If you are just looking for a room to stay in, this place is just ok. If you are hoping for full size towels and a decent hot breakfast, this isn't the place.

Decent hotel and I would've given them a higher rating, but I just have no tolerance for bait and switch. They advertise breakfast included and then "apologize that they don't have breakfast today." What a crock of s#!+. Not the first time they've done this according other disappointed would-be breakfast eaters.

Hotel staff is very nice and breakfast is what you'd expect from a hotel. Bathrooms were a little worse for wear like chipped walls, toilet, bath tub. Fan in bathroom doesn't work so we'd have to keep bathroom door open so our things weren't drowning in water. But shower got decently hot. Beds were fine but definitely bring or buy pillows. Air-conditioning and fridge in room worked fine. Cheap hotel that's good for a short visit.

Would probably rate our overall stay at a 3. The room was good but the service was not. My husband saw the housekeeping notice at the front desk at check in but I didn't. That notice was not in the rooms for some reason. It indicated that housekeeping no longer enters guest rooms daily. They don't bring linens or empty trash. You have to ask for linens and leave your trash in the hall if it gets full. We checked in on Sunday, showered and went to bed. The breakfast provided was okay. The only problem was there was no orange juice. Our problems started when we returned Monday evening and realized that yes, in fact, there was no housekeeping services. So I called the front desk to get enough wash cloths for the rest of our stay. We have no problem reusing towels but we like a clean wash cloth each day. We were told that the wash cloths were locked up and that the front desk staff could not provide them. We were told that we would receive them the next day. So Tuesday morning we got up and went down to breakfast and there wasn't one......it was missing most all breakfast items. The cold cereal dispensers we're full but there was no milk, juice, eggs, sausage etc and no one around. I asked a man at the front desk and he said the manager was working on it and she would arrive in 30 minutes. I had dry cereal and a piece of toast and my husband had dry cereal with a little water on it. The next morning the breakfast was up and running. The woman in charge said she was gone a couple of days and apparently no one was assigned to cover for her. When we got back to our room Tuesday night there were still no wash cloths. I called the front desk again and was told the same story. Wash cloths were locked up and front desk staff couldn't get them. I was told that we could get fresh bath and hand towels but no wash cloths. So a while later a woman brought the towels. I asked her why the wash cloths were the exception. She apparently didn't know and finally said "I don't know, I just work here". She said she would leave another message for housekeeping to bring wash cloths on Wednesday and indicated housekeeping was short staffed. So I then realized the message was we don't have housekeeping services, guests must request linens, but we don't have enough staff to get them to your room. So Wednesday we came back to our room and yes, you guessed it, no wash cloths. My husband went down to the front desk and expressed our frustrations. Finally on Thursday we came back to our room and found clean towels and empty trash cans. I think this was service that happens part way through an extended stay. The linens are old and worn but at least we had 2 wash cloths for our last night (one was so thin I could see my hand through it). The electrical outlets were sparse. There were no outlets on either bedside stand or on the walls nearby. The wifi is open with no password provided. The air conditioner compressor sounded like a truck was idling in our room. The bed was comfortable and room was reasonably clean. The carpet appeared new. So bottom line.....service quality has deteriorated and we will likely not stay at this property again. Anyone traveling these days would be wise to take their own linens and plan on poor service and iffy amenities. Show quoted text

The price was alright, but the beds were hard and my back hurt after sleeping on the bed. Breakfast was OK wish they had better options. The last day they were out of food by the time we got down there. Which was about 7:00 am. Which they say they serve it until 9:00 am. Others complained to the person that was putting out. But she said they were completely out of everything. This is a sign of poor management and lack of customer service. Next time I will stay elsewhere.

On the hotel's website it stated there was no pet fee. Before our arrival my brother called the front desk to make sure there were no pet fees. The front desk person confirmed that was correct. No pet fees. We arrive and are waited on at front desk by an employee named Elise/Elyse. She informed us there was a pet fee and the website is "wrong a lot". We replied, "That's not our problem." She said rudely, "Yes it is. You can talk to my manager in the morning." I said, "If the website is falsely advertising no pet fee then we call to make sure and we're told on the phone there's no pet fee, then it's not our problem. How do you handle it with other people?" She got even dowdier and said, "I normally handle it but I'm telling you you'll have to talk to the manager." I said, "Why have you suddenly decided not to handle it this time?" Folks, be careful when you ask for an explanation. She said, "Because I don't get paid enough to do this job, and I just worked a 16 hr shift. And I just found out new hires are getting paid more than I am. I'm about to quit. So you need to talk to the manager!" If we knew who the manager was, we'd call the manager and tell the manager that Elyse is about to go postal. YIKES!!

Not great, not terrible. For the price, it's fairly reasonable. Though each room varies differently. We had family also stay here at the same time and their rooms were fairly better than ours. Our room smelled like smoke. Fridge was broken. Bathtub/shower was dirty. Counters were stained with blood/makeup. Their is no fan in the bathroom just a small vent. Hallways are always humid as they air out the laundry room through the hall. It's fairly cheap though and no issue for the bed so if you are just passing through, I'd recommend it.
